I can't seem to forget a super shocking event in my life, and as I try to forget it, it only becomes worse. This person I know did something very shocking and they mean a bunch to me. I don't want to say what happened but all I can say is this: I must forget this traumatizing event for me.

This past year (Junior yr.) has been tough for me, but not in the normal sense. I made it onto the Varsity Field Hockey team at my school, I am a successful member of the marching band, I have a 4.0 GPA and all of the other perfect qualities of high school life. But during one of the first games of the Field Hockey season I received a concussion and was out for a solid 2 weeks to recover. After I returned, it was as if everyone was against me playing. No matter how much extra practice I put in. I would start games, the other goalie would replace me at the half. The last game of the season was during the third round of playoffs, I started the first half and received no shots on goal, second half the other goalie started and let in the first goal around the 15th minute (30 min. half), the next occurred on a corner play with 3 minutes remaining; this is the 3rd consecutive year that we have lost to this exact team in the playoffs. I was removed from the game despite the fact that I finished first in the region with a 0.700 GAA, stated all of the games in season (except for when I was hurt), had a total of 7.5 shutouts, any only let in 7 goals all season. Now that I am playing indoor in hopes of getting a Division 1 scholarship. But even my parents are trying to talk me out of my college dreams. I don't know what to do, or why it seem as if my coach is punishing me for getting injured- I just want to get my game back. Any suggestions?

There is this girl age 13 she has some mental disorders and after being discharged from the mental facility she came to our town and began attending the church i go to. My boyfriend and I are both in our twenties and after a short time she decided she was absolutely in love with my boyfriend. She convinced her elderly father who cant really take care of her to move across town to be closer to some people who could help him take care of her. When they moved she moved right across the street from my boyfriend. She would sit outside and watch his house. My boyfriend lives with his parents to take care of them and when they found out they were very afraid, so they went to the police and told them what was going on in case anything happened just as a precaution. I know she is only a child but she has decided to tell everyone in our tiny town in WV that he has made advances towards her and that she is afraid for her life that i am going to "beat her up for taking my man". We can hardly go to our church anymore without her making a big scene and I dont think people believe her but they feel bad for her and she is very convincing with her fake tears. I cant leave my house without someone stopping me (even the cashier at our local grocery store) and asking me or accusing us of tormenting this "innocent child". I know its probably not her fault, but we can't continue to live like this anymore! please help if you know anything else we could do!

So I'm living in a 4 bedroom apartment, and about 2 weeks ago, the 4th bedroom was filled. I haven't gotten to know the guy much since I'm a busy guy. Anyway, he tends to make quite a bit of noise cooking or doing other things in the living space, but I haven't heard anything the past 24-48 hours. He also has these weird smelling candles thathe I haven't smelled in the same time either. I'm rearly confused because it seems like he just disappeared. The even weirder thing is that his stuff is still in the apartment, but it's in weird places (his TV is in the pantry). I am not sure what is going on, and it's just really awkward.

My relation with her (daughter) is that she's student. she is very pious and loving. she loves a guy(Lets name him as guy A) for many years. For some time, she wanted to get married with him. Finally, her father arranged a marriage with an unknown person(Lets name him as guy B). B had huge assets and has a huge social status. But he was not good looking and smart. The culture of our country is that marriage means a spiritual contract between man and women with the features of both rationality and emotionality. but rationality gets more priority than emotionality. The parents of my student (daughter) wants her to get married with the B. But my student does not agree to this proposal. She wants to marry A. Finally my student has married with her love, running away from her home. The parents of the daughter do not tolerate this fact. So the relationship among them is not good. I would like to reconnect their relationship. What do I do manage this problem? That means, How to reconnect them? I already tried to resolve the problem by the telling the daughter's mom that they have to accept their daughter's choice for her and them to be happy. But, I failed... So please tell me what to do or what to tell the parents to accept their daughter(and A) into their lives. And Thank you in advance. P.S. The daughter does not have any issues with her parents if they only accept her as family.

I am a 21 year old male who still lives at home, has no job, is extremely meek and shy, and doesn't drive. I really want to get a job so I can make money and get out of the house, or at least move my family into a nicer home, but my social awkwardness makes it very difficult to be around people and talk to them. Because I have no job, I feel very dependent on my mother, and I hate that feeling. I am 21. Most people have kids by now. I don't drive because I don't know how beyond the basics. I don't know how because no one in my family has taught me. A reason I missed out on a lot of career oppurtunities is because I don't have reliable transportation. I don't have a reliable transportation because I don't have a job. I want nothing more than to be a screenwriter but that's an incredibly hard industry to break into so that brings me great displeasure even knowing that I have been told I do have some creativity and uniqueness about my writing (I've been in film for almost 5 years but have always been interested in the writing, not the technical side of it which most film students are). And so now I am sitting here looking at job postings for things like Walmart and stuff, thinking to myself, this is where high school kids work. I will be done qwith college pretty soon. I need a career. But there's no way I can get a career with this major.... And if I can't get a career, i'll be one of those lonely guys sitting at home with his parents all day... *sigh* I just feel so shitty.

I've been talking to this guy for about two months now. I met him last year but we recently got in touch again. He sounds nice through text but I am really starting to think he is either dating/living with a girl and/or is married. Firstly, throughout these two months I have noticed that the only way he corresponds with me is through text. I at first found it strange that he never called me but I brushed it off. We were supposed to meet this Saturday for coffee or lunch. I asked if I could call him the night before and he said sure that he was home all night and to try calling at any time. I changed my mind. I tested him and told him to call me - he still wouldn't call me. He instead texted "give me the go ahead" and "let me know when I can call you." I didn't answer at all because I knew he was hiding something because most people just pick up the phone right then and there to call you and they forget texting completely. The next day, he claimed he called me once. He said "I called you around 9, but I did not leave a voicemail." I knew this had to be a lie because my phone had no history of his missed call. He then said "if something came up I wouldn't mind rescheduling this week" but asked no questions about what happened to me!? Then later on that day, he texted again saying "I'll try you again next week and have a good night at work." I decided to just call him. His phone rang many times and then went to voicemail. He never called back or texted. What to think?

So i am 22 and she is 19 and on saturday we had an argument and she wanted my facebook password! Because she didnt trust me and i gave her my password because i have nothing to hide (still bad idea) but i told her NOT to go on my Facebook account without me knowing! But i have trouble trusting her not to let me know because normally she gets mad over little things and shes a very jelous person! How can i monitor if shes on my facebook account? Because she saved my password so i wont get email when she logs on! Btw the reason i want to know if shes constanstly checking my account is because then she would be invading pricacy! I m a very shy guy and been without any friends or family at all for 15 years or so. I'm financially stable and I really want to meet someone but so afraid of rejection. I have tried to go to bars or other places where people hang out but i just cant seem to start a conversation or when someone talks to me i just freeze up. Verán, tengo una amiga a la que quiero demasiado como para ser solo cariño... la veo, y tengo ganas de abrazarla, de... besarla. That's me, I'm 16 and a junior in high school. Those are pictures of my arms and legs after I was finished self harming. I've been doing it since January 2015, and I've been depressed since 14 June, 2014. I've never had a girlfriend and have been rejected twice in two years. I hate everything about myself. I've been working very hard at gym to get into good shape. I have CF so that's why I'm out of shape, I'm infertile and have a 40 year lifespan. I've been trying to get a job but nobody will hire me. I was going to commit suicide last year but I decided to give it more thought and see if things get better. Things have only gotten worse. I'm coming off my best school year, for the first time getting A's, and at least 4 each quarter by luck. This year my luck is gone, only 2 A's which is extremely disappointing. I took out a razor and started opening my skin up. I don't do it to relief depression, I do it because I hate myself. And if I'm not getting an 100 on every assignment, it's one slash each time I don't. I've been a horrible student before last year getting C's and D's. I hate everything about myself especially my looks. How do I love myself?

Suppose someone grows up in a broken home, or with an abusive spouse, or the family has a sibling that has a drug addiction? Should society take that into consideration if the person gets in trouble with the law, or should the person who decided to break the law be expected to deal with their personal problems themselves or that they should try to seek help on their own instead of breaking the law?
