My dad is a history teacher in my school.Yesterday i was playing with my phone when he got into the class, when he saw me he took me my cellphone and told over all the class <>anyway i get mad that my dad told all over my friends that i am grounded and i get embaresed i mean i am 17 and i am arfaid that my friends will laughing with me.Is it fair that my dad tell over the class that i am grounded?? ps: i got mad that i got grounded because i will lose my friends party next week ps: i got 2 weeks detetion too ps I got mad that being grounded because i will lose my friends party next week

So I'm 14 years old and trying just to get a Christmas... Recently my parents bought me and iPhone 6s and now they are saying that it was my Christmas present which they should've said before. I have been trying to convince them to get an xbox one... I have a xbox 360, I can sell all my games and the console for 160$ trade in credit at gamestop, or 120$ cash. I have been trying to convince them to get me one on black Friday and then I wont open it until Christmas. like I can trade in my 360 for cash and get that towards this 300$ bundle at dell. It comes with gears of war UT bundle, fallout 4, and another controller with free shipping so my parents said no. I also saw a deal at target, they give u a 60$ gift card when you get an xbox one, but I think that the other deal is better. also, I said that I will give them all of my Christmas money from all my relatives. but they still aren't buying my idea.I went and made a presentation on the xbox one vs the xbox 360 and I also included how it benefits them, and they still will not budge. so, can someone please tell me what I can do. I am looking for tips that worked for you and techniques that I should try to use in order to persuade them. also, don't say anything about respect, grades, or chores because I already do good in that stuff. also only give me stuff that is useful, don't say stuff like "u already got Christmas, your parents are right." if your not going to actually give me tips, then don't bother to post her at all.

my parents are old and dont drive much anymore and my sister and brother in law dont speak to my dad or my dad dont speak to them because of a horrible fight they had with him at the time a rough time for the whole family when one our siblings was passing away. our family is broken right now and as i see my parents get older i just dont feel right not doing anything on thanksgiving with them even though they say its ok to do and do whatever i like. also my sister has a son ( my nephew and even though i adore him he is a handful,disrupted,loud, and demands all the attention when we are at gatherings and its so hard for us adults to even talk thats how it is n mom and dad dont do anything about it. ( my sister and brother in law. honestly right i just really dont enjoy spending with my sister because of the fact they she has her way of raising her child and i dont agree with a lot of stuff and plus again i can only take a little dose of him at one time. i am a terrible aunt?

So um. yeah. my mom and dad split up a few months ago. they do not have all the divorce paperwork delt with yet. We stay a week at my moms and a week at my dads and every time we are at my dads, he has no food. him and his girlfriend eat out almost every day. they leave in the morning and then come back at like 7 PM. i have not eaten in almost 3 days. luckly my sisters get to eat breakfast and lunch at school. but i do online school so im outta luck. i had to go to my grandmas house a few days ago to eat. We have told my dad about this multiple times and i have also told my mom but he just will not go to the store. I know it is not a money issue. He is rich...so um..yeah. i wanna do something about it but i dont want to cause a bunch of stuff. I dont like talking very much so uh..yeah...Thanks for any answers. Okay. So my mom tells me to come over to her house whenever i am hungry and i have no food. But I dont have a car to drive (even though my dad has 5 cars) My grandma also pretty much told me the same thing. Yesterday i visited my mom and she let me take a box of macaroni back to my dads house (im eating it right now) I feel bad for taking food from my mom because she is not doing well on money. she makes close to minimum wage and... idk.

Before you say "it's not all about popularity and boyfriends" I know it's not and education is way more important but I can't help be jealous. The popular girls all weigh like 30 - 50 kg while I weigh like 90 kg. I always get called fat. They all have spotless faces while I have ugly acne everywhere. I get called spotty and stuff. They have perfect hair while I got long blonde thick hair that is always messy. They have tons of friends that support them in everything while I only got like 2. They all had boyfriends while I never had one before all boys call me fat and ugly. They are all talented in art and drama and music while I got no talent. They all have amazing grades like A and B without studying while I work my **** off and get grades D C and rarely B I never had an A. I'm in year 8 btw.

The other day I went with my family to a house showing. We removed our shoes when we entered. Everyone else wore socks, but I was barefoot as I had worn sandals. When asking us questions in different rooms, the realtor kept saying "Emily, how does that floor feel?" And "Emily, how does that carpet feel?" I later asked her why she kept asking me that, and she said that it was because I was the only one with bare feet instead of wearing socks, thus able to feel the floors and carpets easier to feel the floors/carpets so my opinion was especially important to her. Does anyone else find this odd?

So I have an aunt who is bitter towards me. When I was young she tried to be close with me. She would bring me toys and then take me out for my birthdays. One time when I was out on my 13th birthday I said the F word a few times in front of her and it offended her. Then her brother (my father) she doesn't like that he has spoiled me. He bought me houses and paid for my cars and so forth. Not sure if shes jealous of this but she didn't do that type of stuff for her kids cause she never had the money to do it. Not only do I have bad people skills, but I know fully well that dating and marrying isn't worth it if you're broke and you still have grad school ahead. As a grad student I know it'd be stupid to date when I most need to focus on just passing classes and working hard to get at least a half-decent job since most women worth their salt wouldn't date a broke grad school guy anyways. So what do I say to them? I'm tired of them trying to say I should date and that being single, and probably not keeping any pets either, means my life will be miserable. My husband was wanting to go visit his sister next week for Thanksgiving, she lives about 5 hours away. He put in a request to have the time off, but it got denied. I have next week off and also December 7-11. My husband was wanting to go see his sister that week I have off, but my dad is graduating from college. His party is on the 5th and graduation is on the 12th. He doesn't want to go from that Sunday the 6th thru Friday the 11th. Now he is mad at me because I am putting my family over his. He said that anything that has to do with his family is preceded by my family, which is not true. I told him that my dad has worked hard for this and I am not missing it. Is he being unreasonable? I feel like he is just showing me how selfish he really is but not seeing how important this is to me and wanting me to miss it. He might just be mad that his vacation got denied and is taking it out on me, who knows??? As soon as I woke up, my 11 year old was crying stating she had been up for hours. She said she was hungry (she knows where the kitchen is) and she was so hungry she was sick so she didn't want toast but Fruity Pebbles. We only save that for special occasions and never for school because it's too much sugar. She knows this. She kept crying as she ate her toast. I asked her nicely if she was being bullied at school, why she was up all night and she got angry. Hi i'm just 13 and I'm just really fed up and tired with my bro hitting and all that. He hits me for little things. In my opinion he should just use mouth rather than hitting. I just feel unlucky because my cousin told me that her brother and sister don't always hit her, they just use their mouth to argue and fight. But my brother chose to hit me whenever i make small or big mistakes just to teach me a lesson. I've been bothered about something recently. My mom's ex boyfriend has nieces and nephews. They are all completely grown - two nephews of his are 26 and 27 and are living on their own in a different state. His niece is 24 and married and got a new house with her husband. My mom always throws it in my face how independent they are and how they never relied on their parents. I am her 23 year old daughter and I am going to finish my degree pretty soon and still live at home. My mom always makes mention of how amazingly successful and independent everyone else. She says they don't want to be anywhere near their parents. Yet she says she wants to move out with me - therefore giving me no independence. My mom wants to move in with me because of financial issues yet she always talks about independence. I don't understand why.. Why would she be trying to throw this in my face?

I am 13 (male) and my parents do not let me go off of my street. I feel as if at this age, I should be able to go places on my own and obtain some independence. This is a giant mess and i don't know where to start so i am just going to dive right into this. So today I had class at 5:30 but because my baby brother was home and my parents don't want him home alone for very long. But because she was not home I was not able to leave for class. I don't know if she was at work or shopping but she was not home to watch my little brother, I was not able to leave and I was late to class. She has not called to apologize or explain herself so she obviously does not feel that bad. But honestly i am so pissed i could not stop ranting in my head in Psychology. I am probably not going to talk to her because i still can not calm myself down to have an adult conversation with her.

Question: What's a godfather to do (in this situation)?

Long story short: I'm the father of my friends son and daughter. So now she's having another kid and she said I must be the godfather of this kid also? I found that rude because she didn't ask she assumed I would. I told her because I have 3 god kids (two of which are hers) who I barely get to see because of my hectic work schedule it wouldn't be wise. She then said: that's not fair that you'd do for two and not for the third. I said find the child godparents. She said: No one would do half the things you've done for my kids. I said: I'm not the only nice person in the world who has a kind & loving heart,. Take your time and find someone. She said: I won't let you take two and leave one or take one and leave two. At this point I felt as if she was talking to me like I'm her baby daddy or something....What I do as a godfather is all voluntary; my job is to help these kids become respectful adults. I know that it takes patience, time and effort to be in the life of a child. & the last things I want to do is a half-*** job in the development of a child. I hope all that made some sort of sense. So what am I to do? Just disassociate myself from her (and her kids) or just send christmas and birthday gifts in the mail?

Question: Is it normal to want to commit suicide because of the death of a parent?

I couldn't live without my dad. He's the only reason I'm alive and he's really sick right now. I'm afraid that he won't live much longer. I won't know how to handle it if he dies. I have no other family to live for or any friends. If he dies, I'd want to to.

k so im 14 boy and I m really awkward like i would say reallllly stupid things and I'm also really shy. i think its bc in middle school i was bullied a lot by other guys for being "gay" bc i had a girly voice. turns out i actually am gay but i think tats why I m really awkward around ppl. i act awkward and shy esp around straight guys. and its not like i like them or anything its just im just scared they will pick on me again. i dont sound girly or stereotypically gay anymore but I'm still self conscious about my voice. and its weird bc most guys at my hs are really nice to me and want to hang out w/me all the time but I'm still just so weird around them. btw im a freshman in high school

Hi. I'm a 13year old trigender(born female). I guess I should give you a back story. Things were okay up until my greatgrandmother had a stroke in 2013. The whole family got tense. Not sharing any news or anything. Last year, she died. It was just my mom, my dad, and I left. No one else. I had the hardest time with it. I developed depression and anxiety. My dad has always yelled at me and threatened to hit me. He has severe anger issues but refuses to admit it. He never asks how me and my mom are doing, it's all about him. He always says I have an attitude, which I admit I do sometimes, when I don't. He never takes into consideration that maybe I don't feel good that day. He has ruined my childhood and made me extremely suicidal. So. Today, one of our dogs got out. My dad screamed at me saying "Don't just stand there like a ******* fat *** idiot! Go get him!" So I tried to toss my phone down onto a chair and I missed. While I was picking it up, my dad wrapped his hand around my neck, squeezed and tried to pull me back. He left hand prints by they are no longer there. About 1hour ago, I went looking for my phone and thought my dad had it so I went outside looking for him. Guess what? I heard him talking to someone and h said "She ate 2 ******* Krystals. She so fat and lazy. I hate Kylee (I go by Ky but he refuses to call me that) so much. I wish she would just die. I can't take it anymore. I'm so upset and hurt.I want to kill myself. What should I do??!

im 19 and a girl. It's weird. If i get a pimple she will immediately want to pop it or doesn't want me to go out. Says i should care about what i wear and how i eat to get a guy to like me..and has told me i need to eat slower when with a guy...(even though i don't plan on ever dating anyone which she doesn't know).. If i wear just a t shirt and a pair of shorts to go to the store and don't bring my purse she'll say "what? You want to be a dude? Why don't you bring a purse?" And if i don't feel like putting makeup on to go somewhere she'll say the same thing. Why? I don't get this.

Question: I don't know how to act as well as I think I should be for my age, any advice?

I'm homeschooled and have not talked to anyone in a long time besides my teacher and family. When i'm in public I don't know how to act except to get comfortable somewhere, mind my own business and don't act a fool. Do I act my age? But how do others my age act? Im 16. One more thing, I need to be polite, respectful and smile to allow people around me to feel comfortable but when im in public I just feel like ill look like im trying to trick the adults into thinking im a good person because of how they think my age group are sneaky and mannipulating.

My mother is always yelling at me and calling me names like "B*tch" "Dumba*s" "Stupid" etc and it really hurts my feelings, I have tried talking to her but she never listens and just yells at me more. Today she told me i'm not good at anything and am a terrible person and a brat, It really hurt my feelings and i don't know how to make her stop...I have tried ignoring her but then she just gets even more angry and threatens to hit me. I have told my dad and he says that he knows and that she doesn't care...Does anyone have any ideas as to how i can stop this?
