So basically I knew him a long time ago, like six years ago? And now I'm just seeing him again. Every time I'm around him I act dumb and do dumb things. Like a few days ago... we were waiting for the bell to ring so we could go home and I left a few seconds early, the teacher saw and yelled at me. Then the bell rang and the guy left. I did that to try to impress him but instead I think it made me seem like a dumbass. I don't really know how to approach him well, and I think I've developed feelings for him. Like with past crushes, I never had a problem with doing dumb things in front of them but with him it's different. I feel like he's disappointed in me somehow. I'm not really sure if any of that made sense at all. I just want to know peoples opinions on how I should talk to him without making a fool out of myself again :/ |

Never did amazing in the dating field yet I had caught my girlfriend's eyes immediately from the moment we met. She is not a virgin. At 14 she was raped with her virginity stolen and she didn't trust any man ever again after that... except me. 10 months in our relationship, we felt comfortable to start being intimate. It was the first time we saw one another naked. She said she trusted me enough to make love to me, but I felt like it wasn't perfectly the right time. She told me how she wanted to save herself for someone she loved deeply and it was all taken from her at a young age. So yeah, 3 years with a girlfriend and we still haven't had sex. Our families approve of each other and we all agreed once I get my Bachelor's we will get eloped. Its a serious relationship. We have planned for winter break from classes, we will have sex for the first time. I am nervous. I don't know what I am doing, and I don't know if I might accidentally do something that will trigger traumatic memories from her experience. He broke up with her in January and started dating me around April. Had he told me about this earlier, I would've never gone out with him. He only recently told me and he is also suffering through severe depression which he says has been on going for years. He feels that everyone he likes usually just leaves him. He never brings up his ex when we hang out but he is always in bed listening to heartbreak songs, usually never calls me or asks me to come over, never seems to be interested in me other than when we hang out. He has told me he likes me though so I'm very confused. He had a major depressive episode while we were hanging out and it was clear it was because of his ex and he asked me to leave. I don't think it is appropriate for him to be dating anyone till he feels better and has moved on, and it definitely breaks my heart, but I feel like I cannot tell him that because he will feel like I'm abandoning him just like everyone else in the past. He has also had suicidal thoughts and Ive been asking him to see a counselor but he refuses to go. Im not sure what I can do at this point. I want to help him be better and I would love to date him, but I definitely don't want to be someone's second best. |

I'm very private and it makes me very uncomfortable talking about guys I like in front of my family for some reason. I'm 18 and in college now and I feel like so much pressure is on me to get one, but literally no guys talk to me ever and I am too shy to talk to them. Can it lead to self destruction ? Where the person does not eat right , lacks sleep ( or sleeps too much) becomes a danger to him/herself and others . The person cannot bathe, cook or clean for themselves and not be able to perform daily functions? Can it take someone who was once somewhat healthy and well-functioning , and turn that person into someone who is now crazy? From my own personal account . I have a partner whom I must see atleast once a week. We live in separate homes. Though its important they stop over and we hangout once a week or more. If this doesn't happen , I get sick ! Once they were away for 3 whole months , due to their incarceration . I didn't know where they were or what happened , until after their release. It totally played with my mind and I was losing it . Can you imagine losing all that you have , because of your love for someone else? Losing your job , losing your home , losing your wellbeing and possibly even your life? |

We usually always went dutch although I shouting him dinner a few times. He has returned the favor of paying small fast food items, the same amount I have paid for his fast food. But, every time we have had a sit down meal together, he has expected me to pay for both our meals. On a number of occasions when going out to a pub event, he buys his own meal and eats in front of me and our friends. He never asks if I want anything. Every time I buy my food at the pub, i ask him if he's having something and then he tells me to get his meal! The last time I paid I said to him I expect him to pay for my meal next time. But now when we go anywhere he says he's not getting anything. I brought it up again saying in a joking way that the doctor told me I couldn't have sex until my boyfriend buys me dinner. Still he hasn't done anything about it. The one time he asked me out was to a sporting event I had to cox him into asking me to, and the next time we had a date, it was a spontaneous mutual decision. He's never asked me out anywhere besides to the pub with friends. Am I wasting my time? I don't think I can be with someone who is so stingy they can't ask me out or treat me to dinner. He is a nice guy, he treats me well otherwise but this imbalance is a real turn off for me. |

He even told me that I was ugly and corny and basically belittling me over again and comparing me to his ex girlfriends. He told me those things and said I deserved it because I was rude to him. | Question: Does this guy like me? Posted: 11 Oct 2018 05:40 PM PDT There's a guy I've known for about 2.5 years now (we'll call him Tom). We're both pretty quiet people, so it took us a while before we really started to talk. Once we started talking though, I realized I really enjoy talking to him and we have a lot in common. At one point we were chatting with some mutual friends and one of them mentioned that he was going to the fair on the weekend. I exclaimed loudly that I love the fair and Tom looked directly at me and said "we should go". I said sure, but my friend, not realizing I have a crush on Tom, quickly suggested making it a group thing. It then got kind of awkward and we never ended up going at all. Since then we have talked alone a few more times and it's gone well. I told him to let me know if he ever wanted to hang out sometime. The last couple of weeks, I feel like he's been going out of his way to avoid and ignore me and I have no idea why. He is kind of a quiet nerdy dude (which I love), so I don't know if it's just confidence issues or if I did something wrong. (for reference: we're in our mid to late 20's). |

Posted: 11 Oct 2018 05:38 PM PDT so i was talking to someone over the summer, he was a horrible conversationalist and we pretty much only talked for a week. He was very sweet to me, and very cute as well but just his conversations were so boring not to mention he was a horrible texter. 4 months later i'm still thinking about him. I keep telling myself "if it's meant to be he'll find a way into your life again" or i keep looking for a sign. could me constantly be thinking about him be a sign? he's been on my mind for about 1 month and i doubt he's even thinking about me tbh lol. He's been the first guy to ever ask me out so perhaps that's why he's constantly on my mind? if you're wondering what happened to him, i blocked him but decided today to unblock him and see if he'd ever text me again. Should i just move on ? is this guy gone forever? do you think if i were truly meant to be with him it would happen already?? |
