Question: What would be the best way to deal with this situation? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 02:05 PM PDT My mom and step dad are going through a divorce. I really liked my step dad, in fact I loved him enough like a father, obviously he's not my real father. But I loved him like that, and my mom was deeply in love with him. It was all perfect. Turns out he's not who we thought he was. My brother was giving my mother headaches, and problems. He told me the other day that Michael, our step dad, was making him do things that he didn't like. Turns out, he was forcing my brother to touch him, my mom at first didn't believe him, until now because she saw my brother's bruises, he had some awful bruises around his neck. Now they are starting the divorce since my step dad, got angry and hit my mom and practically accepting that he did hurt my brother. My mom is a mess and I feel completely confused and betrayed. My dad took away my brother with him and his wife. He wanted to take me as well, but I don't want to leave my mom alone in this time of her life. My mom reported Michael to the police and place some charges. He is currently detained, How can I deal with all this? My mom says she can never see my brother to his face, because she was never a good mother to him and that she feels like she failed to be his mother, and failed to protect him. Will she ever recover and understand that my brother loves her just because she is our mom and is not her fault. |
Question: My brother saw me naked plz help? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 12:28 PM PDT so i was getting in the shower and my brother saw me naked i think . is it weird |
Question: Me and my brother had sex is it wrong? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 12:20 PM PDT so me and my step brother went all the way and we did it more than once in my parents bed is this wrong |
Question: Am I a bad daughter? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 11:32 AM PDT When I get in a fight with my mom it always results to her saying "What you say hurts" "Do you know how much you hurt me?" and she makes me feel guilty and says those things if I say something she doesn't like.. When we're in fights if I don't sit down or stand whichever she says she yells at me and once when I accidentally hurt my brother it was eating me alive and on the way to school she told me "Do you know how much your brother cried last night because of you? He was up till 4 in the morning crying because of you? You're a cold person." It seems like I'm turning out to be my father I think in her eyes.. If I try to apologize to her she says "You're only apologizing because you want to shut me up isn't it?" and if I say no I'm not she says "yes you are." I'm usually afraid to say something cause I want her to be happy and I'm afraid if I say something wrong I'll ruin her day.. These fights happen a lot if I say something she doesn't like but it's not disrespectful either I love my mom very much but sometimes it seems like she doesn't love me.. |
Posted: 14 Oct 2018 09:32 AM PDT I have never touched my mom's paint in my life now, when she needs it the most she asks me for it because she thinks i took it. I DIDN'T TAKE HER PAINT. She took my phone because i cant find her paint and said i didnt take it! HELP |
Question: I feel uncomfortable at home? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 08:01 AM PDT I am a 15 year old girl, just to get this out of the way. My mom and I don't really get along, and whenever I'm around her I just feel extremely uncomfortable. Whenever her and I actually end up not arguing, and she tells me she loves me or something, I just get this surge of uncomfortable-ness and awkwardness. I feel like running away to my room, and I don't know why I feel like this. When I was little I was VERY comfortable around her and now it is the exact opposite. We both have conflicting opinions, interests, styles... Even the house alone, it doesn't feel like a house I'm comfortable in. I just need advice, anyone who knows why this is... |
Posted: 14 Oct 2018 07:42 AM PDT So I told my boyfriend that I would be spending The end of year in an Atlantic City Hotel because my parents love to play at the casinos and while they play my brother and I would be playing on the nintendo switch, watching movies and chilling, as soon as he heard that he went like "omg invite me please, my parent's End of year are mad boring (his parents invite a lot of people and it does get boring btw haha) Only thing is my father had already reserved a room for my family (we're four, mom, dad, brother and I) and so I told my mom about him going and she said she could reserve a room for my grandma (two separate beds) and he could go to that room, he sleeps on one bed and she sleeps on the other. He was immediately turnt off, and starting to gove excuses and stopped responding to my text messages I guess to avoid the conversation. I told him I could send my brother (he's 12) to sleep with them too so he wouldn't feel awkward and he kept going around with excuses. Reason why I'm upset is EVERYTIME his family invites me to something I go :l and when his family invite me it's most of the time to be with a BUNCH of people that I don't even know, they're catholic as well and I've never been to church in my life so who do you think feels more nervous?? ME and I still go everytime his family wants to meet me, I've been through more awkard moments, I've spent hours with his family, parts of his family I had never met and I still go, but he can't do that for me? |
Question: Is it normal if my mom wore my underwear? ? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 07:30 AM PDT My mom keeps wearing my underwear and bras like I told her no to but she won t listen to me, and she keeps touching my hair and thighs?? Question: I feel so let down by my father? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 07:28 AM PDT I was trying to impress my dad and I put a lot of effort in to it and I don't feel appreciated by him or at least he didn't respond as I expected him 2 and I feel so disappointed how to think positively I'm feeling so low |
Question: Friend leaving abusive relationship wants to come stay with us? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 07:27 AM PDT My friend, who is also my husbands cousin, needs a safe place to stay. She has just left an abusive relationship. Ordinarily, I would say yes but she has some issues. She has battled with meth and pain pill addiction for over 10 years. Although she claims to have been off the meth ( I suspect the pills are still a regular thing) for some time now, I often wonder if that is truly the case, and I know that she has relapsed several times. Also, we live in a very small town where she became well known for addictions several years ago. We have 2 young teenagers in the house and I am concerned about possible relapses, especially since I know she can be very good at hiding it. Also, she is unemployed (and no car at the moment) and has a history of not keeping a job more than a few months. We are financially strapped due to my husband having health issues, and I cannot afford to support another person. I am torn because I am sympathetic to her situation, but like I mentioned, I need to take all these things into consideration. Any thoughts on what we should do would be much appreciated. |
Question: Was my dad abusive towards me?? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 06:55 AM PDT Hey, guys so I'm 26 now and I was just thinking back to my childhood and all of the times my dad got a little too physical with me. My dad had moments where he would slap me upside my head, push me sometimes, yell at me if I'm doing something wrong, and more. When I was a senior in high school he charged upstairs and broke through the door in my room, while I'm standing behind it begging him not to hit me. He then broke in and threw me on my bed and hit me anyway. He's done little things like that since I was a kid, but it wasn't until I was already in my 20s that he picked me up and threw me on the ground and started manhandling me just because of an argument, Byt that time I've had enough so I called the police on him. He was taken to jail, but I received a lot of backlash from my family saying that I shouldn't have called the police on him. Nobody cared that he just slammed my head into a tile floor and busted my ear open and made me bleed. Nobody cared about that, they only cared that I called the cops on him. This happened back in 2013 but I'm still upset about it until this day. I'm still upset about all the things he's done to me. Then will all that my mom tried to make me leave upon my dad's return from jail because he said he wanted me out by the time he got back. I couldn't believe it. It really made me kind of hate my parents. Now I'm about to be a father myself, and I wanna make sure I never treat my kid this way. They just don't understand how that impacted me. |
Question: Why do my parents punish me when my sister is in trouble? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 06:38 AM PDT Whenever my sister is in trouble, so am I. For example, she crashed my parent's car, and now she was beaten and she wasn't allowed to leave the house except for school for 3 months. I also got whipped and I had to do extra homework my mom gave me for the next 2 months. I'm 14 and she's 17. Yet she never gets in trouble when I'm in trouble. Like when I failed an algebra test (like a 55-ish), I got severely beaten and had my toys confiscated, but she was never in trouble for that. |
Posted: 14 Oct 2018 05:10 AM PDT I am 33. I was mentally ill in my teenage years which everyone knew in my family. My uncles aunts most of them. They always labelled me as a scared paranoiac guy even they once told somebody that I was sick and had some mental issues but it was long back. Since then I am so worried that they will say this to everyone cz ai don't want to be labelled as one and I am now completely ok. I am married now andd I am so anxious whenever my wife is with them that they will tell her too about this. It will surely affect my peace of mind cz i don't want my wife to think about me ai was mentally unstable even if as a teenager. I am so scared that in their casual talk they tell her cz the always make fun about people. This anxiety kills me. Should I be worried? |
Question: I don't like my older brother. What is wring with me? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 04:52 AM PDT Im 34 and my brother is 43. We used to get along a long time ago then we just stopped getting along i think it just had to do with me growing up and realizing my bother is actually kind of a jerk. He would always antaginize me make fun of me and then when i would get upset and yell at him or cry he would tell my mom i was crazy and over reacting to his jokes which i admit i am sensitive but he was relentless and i just wanted him to stop. He would also boss me an my mother around and and i just think hes a rude, judgemental, arrogant, jerk. One time I wouldnt do something that he asked me and we got into a physical fight because i refused to get him some coffee so he berated me until i hit him then he hit me back and i ended up with a black eye and i scratched up his face.I lost even more respect for him after that as I was 27 when he hit me like that and not a child. I dont know what to do, but everythign he sayd and does just bothers me hes visiting right now and has told my mother that the reason why im rude to him is her fault because she never taught me to respect authority to which i told him i dont respect his authority because respect is earned not given and he never earned it from me that hes an arrogant judgemental mean jerk. I don't know what to do any advice would be great. |
Question: My dad kicked me out? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 02:58 AM PDT My parents divorced when I was 9. Both remarried, but I don't like my stepmother for reasons I won't disclose. I got permanently kicked out my dad's house for saying something about it. We both said nasty things to each other. What should I do? |

Question: Why am I always irritated by my parents? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 08:30 PM PDT Even if I don't have a reason to, it's just the way they act that gets me so freaking annoyed. And it makes me feel bad because I just can't help but to have an attitude despite all the nice things they do. Why am I feeling this??? |
Question: I feel so let down by my parents? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 08:17 PM PDT I was trying to impress my dad and I put lot of effort in to it and I don't feel appreciated by him or at least he didn't respond as I expected him 2 and I feel so disappointed how to think positively I'm feeling so low |
Question: Is my mom going through a midlife crisis? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 08:13 PM PDT Okay, my mom is 39 years old. She's been hooking up with my brother's "university mentor/professor" the guy is 25 years old. Basically a couple of years older than me and my brother. (My brother doesn't even know this). I found about this after I caught him in her living room in his briefs! Which she ended up admitting having a sexual relationship with him a few months ago. Then she has been going out every Saturday out with her friends to bars and dressing more "sexy". It makes me think that maybe she is going through something. She wasn't behaving like this last year and the years before. |
Posted: 13 Oct 2018 06:35 PM PDT My mother has all sons. |
Posted: 13 Oct 2018 06:35 PM PDT Should I avoid the women so my uncle's kids don't dislike me? Their mother plays them at times of conflict. |
Posted: 13 Oct 2018 06:31 PM PDT The sister has no redeeming qualities. |
Question: Bullying and no privacy in my household? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 06:08 PM PDT I'm a 23 year old woman living at home with my dad and my 21 year old brother. We're all really close, but it's gotten to a point where i have no privacy as a woman and they seem to need to know every thing about what i'm doing. My brother kind of teases me most the time and he mainly means it as a joke but sometimes it's like he needs to upset me to make himself feel smarter and just better in general. I've always been really open with them and they have become used to that and expect that know, which i understand, but i'd like to set some boundaries. The thing is - i need to be able to set boundaries without talking to them about it. Because i have tried that, and they don't take me seriously. How do i demand some privacy and respect as a woman in a way that would actually work? (btw i can't afford to move out yet.) just as i posted this - i realised it's most likely because they both still see me as a little girl and not an adult. my brother treats me like his little sister that he can bully. |
Question: My new boyfriend won't let me talk to my family? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 04:00 PM PDT So my new boyfriend stopped letting me talk to any of my family or friends. He took my iPhone away from me and even changed the password on his phone to keep me from using it. When I asked him for my phone back he told me that he sold it. He says that he's just doing it to protect me. He's much older than I am and more experienced in relationships so I want to trust him, but I really miss my mom and my sisters. I was going to sneak out to visit them two days ago but he locked me in the bathroom and braced a chair up against the door so I couldn't leave. I haven't even been to school in like two weeks. I borrowed the neighbor's phone and called my mom to pick me up but I'm really worried about what he's going to do when I eventually go back home to him. Is this normal behavior in a new relationship? |
Question: Why did my mom not try to get me and my brother back from Child Protective Services? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 03:41 PM PDT What happened was right when me and my twin brother were born, child protective services took us away right out of my mom's arms and I'm just wondering why after all these years my mother never tried to get us back or contact us. I am out of child protective services now because I'm no longer a minor. I understand if she couldn't but then again I didn't see a reason why she couldn't. |

Question: My parents are so ******* toxic and I want to die :)? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 02:44 PM PDT |
Posted: 13 Oct 2018 02:23 PM PDT I knew a woman in High School who had muscular dystrophy. She would sleep around with many guys who could not get girlfriends. She was very promiscuous. After High School she got pregnant and had two children. Both of them inherited muscular dystrophy. Her husband, who also had muscular dystrophy, died and she remarried and had two more kids who also inherited muscular dystrophy. Recently I saw her obituary and saw that she had died at the age of 50. She had been pre-deceased by all four of her children. The oldest lived only to age 25. Was it wrong of her to bring so many kids into the world knowing that they would have such short lifespans? |
Question: Should I stop trying to be a better sister, aunt and mom? Posted: 13 Oct 2018 01:29 PM PDT No matter how much I reach out to my family with birthday wishes, phone calls, emails, gifts I get nothing in return from them. Not even a phone call. I am at my wits end and ready to just cut ties all together. |
Posted: 13 Oct 2018 01:11 PM PDT I pay all the bills at the house. I normally watch AHS once a week with my kid. This week, she told me to go watch it in my own room. I told her my TV wasn't working and we would just have to watch it in her room. She turned off the TV so that I couldn't watch it. Then, she pompously pulled out her iPhone and proceeded to watch it on her iPhone. What would you do if this happened to you? |
