Question: Who should pay the bills in a marriage? Posted: 19 Oct 2018 04:33 PM PDT So I work a maximum of 15 hours a week and my husband works 40 hours a week and gets paid 2.5 times more than I do hourly. He pay the rent but I pay for almost everything else I'm so stressed out and behind but help me because he has his own bills I'm so stresed our because I can't afford a sitter and I only work on his days off or when I can find someone to watch my girls. It's just not enough and I don't know what to do help |
Question: Need relationship advice? Posted: 19 Oct 2018 02:45 PM PDT I know i just asked this question, but I'm asking more to it so you know more about what's going on. I have been with my husband for over 11 years, married for 8 years. He just recently came home from being in jail for 9 months. This is not the first time he's been in jail, plus I've spent over $7k just in homes because of him. While he was gone, i started having feelings toward someone else. I never tried anything with the other person, just talking and smiling at each other, but once my husband came home, my feelings for him (my husband) started to change. I dont feel like im in love with him (my husband) anymore. I want our relationship to work, but i keep dreaming or thinking about the other guy. I dont know what to do especially when my husband and i have 2 kids together. Please help and please dont be mean |
Posted: 19 Oct 2018 02:38 PM PDT Is this a common thing with alcoholic spouses that they walk out even though the alcoholic has agreed to go sober? After he got out of rehab his wife left him. He did have one relapse but got back on track fast. |

Posted: 19 Oct 2018 11:24 AM PDT I'm not talking about everyone I know a woman who met her second husband in her first husband's funeral. I mean in general it is much more common for men. Also why do men (and women) tend to marry younger after their 1st marriage? |

Question: Ladies: Did you hit the wall without finding a husband, and have regrets since then? Posted: 19 Oct 2018 09:24 AM PDT What were your 20's like? Did you party like you would be young forever? Were the good men all married when you started wanting a family? |
Question: Why does my wife always jump to conclusions? Posted: 19 Oct 2018 06:39 AM PDT My wife has the uncanning ability to hear three or four words of a conversation, assume what the rest of it is, and then go directly to the end and start an argument because, she feels, she's not going to like what you have to say before you say it. Last night I get a call from my / our oldest granddaughter. She's 9. The child of my god-daughter before my wife and I were married. Anyway, several weeks ago my daughter informed me of a "donuts-for-dads" event at their school coming up. Her and her 6 year old brother attend the same school. My granddaughter was calling me last night to remind me that the event was in the morning. All my wife hears was "Ok, what time again? 8 AM? Alright, you know I'll be there." After a little more conversation we hung up. Right now my truck is in the shop and as convenient as it can be, my wife told me yesterday that she had taken the day off. The minute I got off the phone she lit into me like I had already asked her to change her plans and that she was tired of doing that for everyone. Several weeks ago me, her and her 23 year old son were in the car and she informed us that she had cancelled her eye doctor's appointment that Sat because she felt like someone would want her. No one asked her to do that. She just assumed and cancelled her appointment. Yes, I was going to ask her could I borrow her car to run about 5 miles down the road to our grandkids school to attend donuts for dads because their dads couldn't make it or they were too sorry to attend. I've gone to several donuts-for-dads events over the years and I love to see the look on my grandkids face when I walk in. The thing is this. My wife assumed I was going to ask her to change her plans for the day. When I asked what she had planed for that early in the morning her answer was, "nothing really but I was probably going to get my nails done about 9 or 9:30. The donuts event was only from 8 to 8:45 so I was gonna be back home well in enough time. She loves to play the martyr and claims to always give of herself for others. Had my truck not been in the shop I wouldn't have had to ask to use her car for less than an hour. Yes, I've discussed this with her but she still does it. The other day my wife even got upset with me because I didn't let her know that the gas was running low in her car and she's the one who drives it. As a good husband is suppose to do, I'm suppose to go out in the driveway, crank it up and see how much gas she's got and remind her to put gas in her car or, OR, take it myself and put gas in it. My wife tends to think that car stuff is man's stuff and women shouldn't be bothered to worry about gas and oil changes or stuff like that. |
Question: I don’t like my husbsnd’s friend? Posted: 19 Oct 2018 05:55 AM PDT His friend hangs out with us every weekend with his girlfriend. His friend stayes over at our house with girlfriend. I explained to my husband, that it is inconvenient. We do not have a cleaning lady, and I have to clean other bedroom every time he leaves. But my husband cannot say no to these people. I got to the point I want to leave my house and not spend weekends here. Who is right and who is wrong here? What should I do? |
Posted: 19 Oct 2018 05:25 AM PDT Big words for a really dumb guy right? But let me explain before you answer: Delusion appears to be needed to believe that "love" is more than just high doses of dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin. Clearly you can get these neurotransmitters without ever "falling in love" with someone and just knowing that the act of committing to someone, regularly touching them, and regularly laughing with them will serve its purpose. But that delusion of believing in love seems to be the motivating factor to do those things. And don't judge me for looking at things extremely logically/scientifically; you don't know my past that lead to this. So yeah, believe in love despite it being EXTREMELY irrational. The conformity to Christian norms appears to be what primes the mind and the heart (limbic nervous system) for the delusion of love. Everything about Christianity appears to be love based (well, everything but that God fearing garbage). So it appears to me that conforming to the ideas and norms of Christianity will result in less thinking overall and more living in the moment since you don't have to think everything out (which is considered overthinking by all of you since you already conformed). The existential escapism seems to be absolutely necessary. While having down to earth discussions about the cumbersome realities of every day life can help make it much easier to be successful; it seems to be extremely boring and depression inducing. Not many people can handle it (hence Netflix) |

Question: Husband or mother? How do you choose?!? Posted: 18 Oct 2018 10:26 PM PDT About a month ago my mom ended a violently abusive 12 year relationship. Back story: She hasn't been working for the past 5 years and has very little money saved. I just got married 2 years ago and moved in with my husband to a 3 bedroom home. I allowed my mother to move into our home last month with my little brother to help them get out of where she was due to her situation. My husband and her had a great relationship prior to her moving in and is now threatening that I need to choose between my mom and him or he wants a divorce. How does someone choose between family?! She's not on drugs and she is trying to find a job. I don't know what to do - I can't throw my mom out on the street with a child and I also don't want my marriage to end. What would you do? |
