Question: Am I in the minority being that I find social climbers to be societal parasites? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 05:36 PM PDT For the life of me, I can not figure out how some people have so many friends, admirers and followers, especially when they're shallow and self absorbed. I know of this woman who is constantly name dropping and telling everyone she knows celebrities. She runs in circles with a lot of social influencers. The type of people who post photos of themselves traveling all over the world on instagram and follow people to get them to follow back only to unfollow them right after to make it look as though they have far more followers than they do. The people who charge $6500 for spiritual retreats telling people they can change their lives and "level up" if they follow the program. Yet the reason they are rich and able to travel is because they have people paying them that much money to basically do yoga, drink tea and talk about their life plans. They're basically self serving con artists. This woman is so self absorbed that she live streamed her wedding and was answering comments on Facebook while in labor at the hospital! She was literally saying "the head is showing, any minute now" with her followers anxiously kissing her *** asking for updates. To me that is so pathetic and obnoxious. Yet people kiss her *** and treat her like a celebrity, she's "social media famous". One of my male friends says she is the most genuine and sweet women he knows...are people really that naive and blind to the fact she is a money hungry/attention craving narcissist?
Question: Do people touch the butt to comfort? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 05:12 PM PDT I saw a tv show where someone was laying down on a bed and another person put their hand on their butt to kind of comfort her. do they?
Question: My sister has been acting differently? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 04:56 PM PDT Is it just me or has she just been acting really fake or something. So , I'm a year older than my sister. our childhood she was everyone favorite, they were always mean to me it's sad but my family was meanThey would buy her food and toys and not give me anything. Or tell her not to share anything she has with me. I've always been shy and quiet. She has always been outgoing and loud. As teenagers , I caught her talking to my bf and she had him break Up with me cause she told him lies about me behind my back. I was very stylish and school smart so everyone like friends or people I know would call me beautiful and I was popular. On the other hand she sometime got picked on her hair and I would always stick up for her. She would pick her friends over me. If me and her friend didn't like each other she would pick her friend. After high school I had a baby but i make decent money I have my own car apartment and I'm going back to school this fall. I laid off school for a year. she went straight to college but she never liked school she dropped out and got her GED I would always tell her if I can do she can do it. Ever since she went to college she think she is better than me or something. She doesn't even call me talk to me ore act as if she doesn't know me when I done so much for her. Everyone call her the college girl and looks down on me but I think I'm doing one hell of a job. I'm only 21 she is 20. She told her friends she is visiting her brother that's it no one else.
Question: How to repair a friendship? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 04:47 PM PDT So me and my best friend had a disagreement and we haven't spoken for almost a week. It was my fault and I apologized because I wronged her. She then texted me that she needed some distance and she thought that our friendship was fake. I have other friends but it's weird not speaking to her. How do I fix our friendship because I miss her and we've been friends for so long just to separate now.
Question: How is my friend who was bullied succeeding? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 04:07 PM PDT She is now joining clubs and sports a team. She is now far more motivated. I thought bullying does the opposite. It is irritating!
Question: Anyone whose feeling lonely? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 03:33 PM PDT Why am I so lonely? Sad? Depressed? How can I be normal? Happy? Gave good relationships? So many questions I asked here but I've found the solution. A balanced life of things you enjoy, friends, work, health and exercise. Being a 22 year old student who works 2 12 hour shifts at the weekends with no time to play sport (which I love), missing loads of nights out I became very isolated and felt lonely, saying "sorry I can't do this because I'm working/studying/other" eventually the offers became less and less. I hurt like hell at night which is why I want to say this worked for me. I got up and cleaned my room and organised everything, I started eating healthy and exercising. I soon realised my old friends do this stuff so I got myself a driving license and a car and I asked my friends if they wanted to go for a run with me. We'd eat after and it wasn't long before that year+ gap was filled. I invited them over to watch champions league, they invited me over to watch the boxing at the weekend. Now I'm so happy. So what changed? I am healthy, in shape, have a good social life again and I sleep like a baby and it was surprisingly easy. I'm confident which goes a long way with other relationships in my house, with family and meet lots of new people. I have a long way to go but I said if I can help anyone here by saying organise your life more, make time for friends and even out work, study and life you'll feel happy. Dont stress yourself just be organised.
Question: Is my friend actually retarded? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 03:15 PM PDT I have a friend who thinks way to highly of himself, he's studying computer science at the very prestigious Redlands university. He recently told me that he doesn't need any type of work experience because he's smarter than me and he was "able to learn things on the fly". I'm just curious if he's suffering from retardation cause I don't want him to get into the real world before it's to late and no one hires him :(.
Question: How to be included by friends? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 01:59 PM PDT Im currently a sophomore in high school. I met this group of friends about 3 weeks ago which are nice but never include me in out of school stuff. The reason I think is because they are still knowing me. How do I speed up this process. How do I include myself?
Posted: 06 Apr 2018 12:29 PM PDT I haven't been in school these past few weeks but last week I tried messaging my best friend and after she ignored me several time I got worried ( she going thru some crap at the moment as well) so I like spam her and she replies " i'm fine, I just need space " so I am like ok then my other friend the next day asks if me and best friend have been in a argument and I'm like no, try messaging my bestie get ignored, next few days I spam her with messges I even dropped a box full of good food of at her house while she was at school, she ended up messaging a few days later saying again she just needs space and she ok, i am like phew got it . Then she blocks me, and like any person I am like wtf i thought i did nothing wrong so again I messgae her like wtf? And she replies" i need space and your not giving it to me, I need time to be myself and enjoy time with lots of friends including you but not if your not gunna accept how I want to be in and out of school" i was confused but just said ok, and haven't messged her since that was last saturday. But how does someone suddenly need space from someone... we on easter break now so I thought maybe we'd see each other but I don't know. I am kinda pissed that when i was worried in the first place she didn't just answer, i mean she made everythibg worse. 😫😫
Question: I blocked my ‘friend’ and she found out? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 11:09 AM PDT I blocked her because she was rude and mean, but I was added to a chat the she was also in. She found out that I blocked her and she has messaged me sarcastically asking me about it. What should I do?

Question: How to get my parents to let me travel with my friends at 17.? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 08:47 AM PDT I'm 17 and so are my friends. My friends and I are wanting to travel to Silver wood Amusement Park this summer for 5 days. We have already planned everything out including the money, whose car we are taking, and the dates. Literally, everything is planned out. My friends are already approved to go, and I've already pitched the idea to my parents but they refuse to think about it? I've tried to tell them that this trip will show how responsible we are as young adults but they won't let me grow up. Summer is coming up fast. Please give me advice. :(
Question: My friend at college is competitive to me? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 08:07 AM PDT When i pass a lesson that she does not pass she get very angry and she insults everyone She is a loser that cant pass lessons at college and if i achieve something better than her she gets very angry and she wants me to feel loser like her
Question: Who is this Russian model with a bass guitar in her photos? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 04:03 AM PDT In about 2009 one of my friends sent me a picture of a Russian woman. She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen so far and of course I have lost all data from that winchester since then. There were several photos in that series. In the pictures there was a sofa in a well-lit roomand the lady sat and laid on it. She wore a gorgeous dress with flower pattern, and had a Fender jass bass with her. In one of the pictures she laid in her back and held the guitar horizontally on her. I also had her name back then and found some other photos of her. She had some very common first name like Nadia. She was slim but not way too much skinny and brown hair (maybe a little bit blondy). I have spent hours of my life searching for that picture in the last 9 years but now it is time to ask the community. Please do not hesitate to post any possible photos that might be the one. :) Regards, Benji
Question: Should you invite your best friend to a family meal or event? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 02:07 AM PDT
Posted: 06 Apr 2018 01:24 AM PDT He is honestly one of my best friends in the whole world. I love him but like a brother and as a best friend. Recently he told me that he has been in love with me for a long time now, and we shared a kiss (i honestly wanted to find out if i felt anything but i didn't). I told him later that i was curious if i would feel anything after the kiss but i didn't feel anything and that i wasn't interested in a romance. Ever since that kiss, he wants to kiss me again and hold my hand (nothing other than that) even though he knows i don't feel anything for him romantically. This has happened the last few times we have hung out. So today i finally told him this is getting old, and that he needs to stop. He said that he would respect my wishes....but I'm concerned he will try to hold hands again and want to kiss. Of course I will stand my ground, but i would NEVER wish to end my friendship with him over this as he is a wonderful friend in EVERY OTHER WAY other than this issue. Some have suggested that if this continues that I SHOULD end the friendship. I want to know of other options other than ending the friendship if his behavior continues.
Question: Why Would My Friends Do This? Posted: 05 Apr 2018 10:57 PM PDT This is going to take a little bit to explain but just bear with me While out bowling with my friend who was moving the very next day, I get a call from my sister saying that there are 2 people at the door who want to see me. I say that I'm out and I can't come home at the moment So earlier in the day I get a call from my friend Jessica saying she wants me to hang out with her and a few of our friends, I said sure but it has to wait until I'm done bowling. After some running around with my bowling group I head home and wait for my friends Once they arrived, we were sitting watching TV when my sister yells from upstairs that my dog looks really cute onmy bed. So all my friends go running up and I start to walk up to my room. And what I saw will forever change my relationship towards that group of "friends" My room was completely trashed. They put jars of peanut butter everywhere (I'm allergic to peanut butter and I was disqualified from joining the Army because of it). Everything was thrown around and nearly all my various belongings were on the floor. My bed was taken apart, all my shelves and dressers were moved and my posters were all sideways. I cannot describe how betrayed I felt. The worst part is that in the heat of the moment I did not even know how to feel or what to do. I wish so much to be able to go back in time and actually speak up more. So why would the people I'm closest to do this? I have NEVER even dreamed of doing anything like this to anybody.
Question: Is it weird that I feel most of my old friends are kinda changed? Posted: 05 Apr 2018 10:08 PM PDT Like sometimes when we are hanging out all they do is take pictures continuously for their aesthetic feed on instagram and do their makeup for like forever. They are calling me and some others hoe in a casual way as if hoe is such a chill word to say.I am not saying that taking pictures and doing makeup is a bad thing because I also do it but excess of this bothers me.One time I invited them to my house and they were like We re not gonna click pictures today,we re so tired,we just wanna chill for real .After a little bit time they started taking pictures, height of hypocrisy.Sometimes I wish we would watch movies,do prank calls, dance like crazy to groovy songs, have a good conservation like we used to do when we were young. But now something feels lost like I feel I don t even know them anymore and that I need new friends.Am I a bad person by telling all these things here?

Question: Am i a bad friend? What should I do? Posted: 05 Apr 2018 08:15 PM PDT part 1: a few days ago, my 'friend' (friends A) had her birthday and a bunch of us wrote her nice notes and put it in a jar and gave it to her. A little backstory, most people in our friend group are extremely irritated by friend A because she always micromanages everything and pretty much ruins the vibe whenever we do something as a group cause she gets upset about something. anyways, the person who organized the gift said that she had brought up doing it as like a joke months ago, but friend A kept bringing it up, saying that she didn't want us to do it, but like she kept bringing it up so we assumed that she wanted it. she was happy with it. So now, another one of friend A's friends, let's call her friend B (who wasn't involved with the note giving) created a chat of a few people and brought up the idea that they should buy friend A a 170 dollar camera lens and split the cost. I initially was not invited to this chat because friend B doesn't like me very much, but I heard about it because a couple people in the chat complained to me about having to spend money when they had already done something for friend A. Let me just say, friend A is a little delusional about her photography skills (i have this photo on my linkedin account that i like, but she asked me why i didnt use one of the photos she took of me because the photo she took was "actually good"). Anyways, I was just now added to the chat. CONTINUED BELOW:

Question: Was it messed up what I said back to my classmate? Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:54 PM PDT She and I were talking about stuff. She told me to sneak out late in the night to go to a beach party she was going, my friends were going as well. I said "hmmm I don't know, maybe not" then she snapped and replied "Oh-my-god, grow some balls and just go, ya?" And I quickly replied, "Ya, why don't you grow some t*ts?" (Her being flat chested, I just thought of this) then her jaw dropped and she looked a bit down. I felt bad.. and she ignored me the rest of the class. Is was just a joke!
Question: Bestfriend problems? Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:49 PM PDT My best friend and I have kinda been drifting apart or have sensed her being me to me a little bit more. Since spring break is over we have been switching our seats in everyclass. I have two main friends in my clases her and this other person so it always un even and one is left out. Our teacher let us pick our seats so we could choose where ever we want. Her class room is set up by 2 so everyone has a partner. The other friend had sat with someone else which lead to her having to sit with me and I could tell she wasn't to excited to sit with me cause she was never planning to sit with me she kept calling our other bestfriend. Now my problem is in math class she changed our seats and I know it because I was at the office to help out and she told me she changed them today and I got th back table. However She said do you want to be there by yourself or have someone. I chose have someone and because she said I was a good student she let me choose I chose my bestfriend but now I'm thinking she might not to sit with me cause we are sit with each other in the other classes. If she finds out I told my teacher to put her there then she might say why would you say my name? What if she gets annoyed that we sit together everywhere? Idk what to do😨😥
Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:10 PM PDT my friends mum is quite strict and doesn't allow her to do much. I get that but its really annoying sometimes because she doesn't even ask somethings because she thinks she knows the outcome when she hasn't even tried asking. anyways, our friend group is suppose to be having a sleepover one night then going out to town on a bus then having a second sleepover. my friend (with strict parents) also has another friends birthday sleepover the next day but she doesn't want to sleepover because she isn't really friends with the people going. so she says that she won't be able to do the second sleepover and keeps making excuses for not getting the bus. I personally think that its because of her strict parents because I know she'd love it plus we have been planning it for weeks and she all of a sudden changed her mind ( I think because she asked her parents and they said no). but she will completely ruin the plans we've had for weeks just because she's scared to beg from her parents. I'm really annoyed and I want to keep our plans, what do I do? should I ask her about her parents or should I just find a way for her to come and not use an excuse to get out of it? I feel mean forcing her but I need help!

So I met this guy who is doing work on my truck and he asked what I did for a living and I panicked, got ahead of myself and said I was a real estate agent. Now he's asking me to help him find a condo and I have no idea what to say lol I definitely regret having said that. What is a good excuse to tell him or what should I say? |
