Question: Is the third date too soon to have sex? Posted: 01 Feb 2017 03:09 PM PST First date was at a coffee shop talking few hours. Second date we watched 4 movies and both slept in my bed. We cuddled and kissed but did not have sex. On Friday, I'm visiting his place. I like him and we get on well , I really want to have sex with him. Is 3rd date too soon or OK? |
Question: Should you give second chances to family members? Posted: 01 Feb 2017 02:17 PM PST My brother was physically and verbally abusive to me when I was a kid (7-10). My mom kicked him out and we moved away. I m now in college and I ve visited with him a few times in the past few years. He seems better, but he acts like my mothers actions in kicking him out were unjustified, and hasn t spoken to her much since. He emailed me today and said he s moving near where I m living and would like to meet up.. Basically he wants to reconcile and have a closer relationship. I don t trust him, but I don t know if rejecting him is the right decision either. Sorry for the long read. Any answers appreciated. Thanks, Lacy, for your input. I think you're completely right. He was a seriously messed up teenager and my mom had him in with like 3-4 different counselors in just the span of his high school years. Since then I don't think he's had any counseling. I feel bad rejecting him, but I feel like I know that's the right thing to do. I guess that's what I'll do. Thanks again. |

Question: Just overhead my grandma badmouthing me? Posted: 01 Feb 2017 10:49 AM PST My grandma just came from our country to the U.S. 3 months ago. I overheard her telling my aunt that she is not too comfortable living with us, because no one spends too much time with her and I apparently complain about so many things that she does. Having said all these things, I would like to clarify on what she meant. Both my parents work full-time, and I am a full-time college student, and work part time (13-15 hours a week). When I am home, I am either studying, reading, or relaxing with the little time I have to myself. Don't get me wrong, I do spend time with my grandma and even make her lunches or dinner when I have free time. (She doesn't cook, but can microwave what my mom and I cook). I understand it's not ideal spending time alone, but she was brought here to get better medical care and us working helps to pay for medical bills and medications (the portion her insurance doesn't cover). For the first 2 weeks, every time she came to bed (we share the same room) she would slam the door, and I'd immediately wake up. So I asked my mom if it would be possible for her to ask my grandma to shut the door gently. After that, my grandma broke 2 of my plates (both of which I had since I was 11 years old), so I politely told her to please be a bit more careful when handling chinaware. Honestly, I adore my grandma and I understand a bit of what she may be going through but I do think she's being a bit unfair when complaining to my aunt about us. Any advice for this situation? Thank you for the advice so far. I hope you believe me when I say that I do not take her presence for granted. I do spend time with her, but there are also specific academic priorities that come with taking 5 or 6 college classes that take up a lot of my time.. |
Question: What should you do if you hate where you live but someone you love doesn't want to leave? Posted: 01 Feb 2017 09:41 AM PST Been living out of hotels for the last four months w/ our daughter, our things are in storage, and now my partner has cold feet. He says his job pays him well and he doesn't have another lined up. Yet, his job does not pay adequately for the area which is obscenely expensive and ugly/gross to boot. I desperately want to leave. Super depressed. He could easily get another job, yet the problem is that he really likes the one he currently has. We are living paycheck to paycheck and I hate it here with all of my heart. I mean that I want to move to another state...I don't hate the hotel. |

Question: Is this normal, any advice ? Posted: 01 Feb 2017 05:42 AM PST I text my partner 2 days ago and without any reason they read it and completely ignored me? They are still online and posting things, I already posted this a few hours ago but I never asked for advice on what I should do. I don't want to text them because the last thing I want to do is to let them know they're getting to me. I don't want them thinking they're effecting my daily life. I just find it quote unfair to me as I didn't do anything wrong. Also I do not mind if they do not want to talk to me but they could have aleast talked to me about it instead of completely ignoring me. I also find myself asking this question as I have no one to talk to about this so please be nice. if anyone has advice on what I should do it'd be appreciated. |
Posted: 01 Feb 2017 05:18 AM PST I've recently been diagnosed with Leukaemia and I've been lying to my best friend about it. I lied and told her I was fine and just made up some lame half *** excuse for everything. You probably think I'm a bad best friend for not telling her but she's like a sister to me. She's only 18 days older than me but she acts like my older protective sister. She worries more about me then I do myself and I'm afraid that if I tell her she won't be able to handle it or she won't treat me like me. That and she will probably be a little pissed that I've been lying to her, specially since we promised to tell each other everything. I just....I don't know how. How the hell am I supposed to tell her when I know she will flip out, that's just how she is. I mean do I tell her? I can't keep lying, she's starting to catch on, I'm a terrible lair. And if I do tell her then what do I say? |

Question: Would you take your kids and move somewhere where you barely know anyone to start fresh? Posted: 01 Feb 2017 01:07 AM PST Or is it best to stay close to families? I left my family (with my kids) to go live with my boyfriend. He and his family are very welcoming and patient. I am blessed to meet them once in my life. My boyfriend and I both have kids. Before coming here i know exactly what I'm getting myself into. And I wanted to experience it. I've realized it is hard being a step mom to other kids. I bathe the little kids, I feed them, I tried to make things equal. Overall, everything is still hard. We both work and barely get to see eachother. I get to see our kids more than he does, it feels like theres so many things on my shoulder. And we're not even married yet. Having 5 kids around the house, ( he has 3. I have 2. ) responsibility, cooking, cleaning, discipline the kids is getting too overwhelming for me. I think he feels it too. He think that maybe one day I might leave. Maybe he's right. I don't wanna lead him on. Life now is overwhelming in our situation of just dating and living with eachother. Besides, if I cant handle it now, what makes me think i could handle it later? I dont wanna turn back to my family because its kind of a embarrassment. I want to look forward to go live with my uncle and cousin 3 hrs away, but same state. Should i move back or move forward if I ever do leave? |

Question: Family member acting badly (please help)? Posted: 31 Jan 2017 10:20 PM PST My mother had taken away the facial tissues I had bought for the family, and hidden it away somewhere in the house, and then ordered my father to buy more facial tissues (hence costing more money). Sad to say my mom is a very spiteful person and it is quite difficult for me and my father around her. I need to use the facial tissues (bought from Target at a discount), yet she refused to hand them over, saying that she is using this to teach my Dad a lesson (I was like..What the heck?!). I am tired of this stupidity, sad to say my mother is not a reasonable person. May I ask, what exactly is she trying to do by taking away the facial tissues? I am sorry if this sounds crazy but that is what she likes to do. :-( |
Question: Is it wrong that I feel unwanted? Posted: 31 Jan 2017 08:59 PM PST Everything started 3 years ago when I met the girl of my dreams. Long story short, we broke up before I went to the desert for 11 months (I didn t want her to go through all the bs) but I m home now. Lately she barely responds to my messages, she doesn t talk on the phone, and she s never able to come out for a date or even to talk a little. I know very well she stays at home, I know her family and she posts snapchats of her at home playing with her niece and nephews all day, don t pull the "she s cheating" card. I know lately she s been stressed about work but she s not giving me any attention or making any time for me and I m willing to give all of my time for her. I just want some advice, I ve been feeling down about the situation and I haven t been able to talk to her about it at all. Any words of wisdom is appreciated. |

Question: What do you think is worse: Trusting too easily or not being able to trust anybody? Posted: 31 Jan 2017 07:32 PM PST By trusting too easily I mean putting your trust into somebody within days of meeting them, and by trusting nobody I mean not fully trusting anybody no matter how close they are with someone. |

Question: Can I be fired for getting a virus on work PC? Posted: 31 Jan 2017 01:12 PM PST Today, I unintentionally managed to get my work PC infected with a malware. I got notified my IT department about it and reached my manager and IT guy. The situation was well handled and in my view, it didn't cause further damage. The security investigation was closed and I got warned by the manager to be more careful. Long story short, the whole situation was really bad, I felt and still feel really stupid. The worst part is that my boss got notified about all the hot mess I caused. He's away from office and I am tremendously afraid of the day he returns and found out what happened. This frustration is killing me, I feel really bad and ashamed of the whole situation. |

Question: My fiancée is scared of guys? Posted: 30 Jan 2017 11:13 PM PST My fiancée was abused from 14-19 (her current age) by her step brother and now she's afraid of guys, including me and our roommate. Anytime we move too fast or touch her, in a normal way, she jumps or flinches. I know she trust us but just want to reassure her she has nothing to be afraid of when it comes to us and I know that takes time. I just want to find a way to help her calm down around us, any suggestions? And she is seeing a therapist. |

Question: What am I required to provide for visitations? Posted: 30 Jan 2017 10:01 PM PST Judge ordered standard visitations on my 1 year old daughter. I really feel that she is too young especially since she always cries when he picks her up. But this weekend is the first time she is spending a night away from me. He gets her friday-sun. He has yet to pay any child support. I told him everything she is going to need like diapers, clothes, milk ect. He said he was going to call cps on me for neglect if I don't send her with everything she needs. I didn't want him having overnight visitations because I don't trust him and she is too young but the judge granted it but I don't feel like I should have to care for her financially at his house and he needs to take on some responsibility. What do you think? |

Question: What happened to a prince's siblings if said prince became king? Posted: 30 Jan 2017 04:00 AM PST back in the times of monarchy: what if a prince had a brother or sister? would they not be princes and princesses too? only one could become king/queen right? but they are all royal blood, did they suddenly become no longer part of the royal family if the other sibling became king? if not, what were they? certainly not princes since princes were the sons of kings, right? |
