Question: Over a year since I was shunned, my neighbor calls me out of the blue.? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 05:24 PM PDT So, I was getting along with some neighbors of mine 2 years ago. I would help them with things around their house and trying to be friends with them. After some comments I made about my dog, which they considered inappropriate as well as some negativity I had toward some of my other neighbors who were not nice or considerate to us, they decided not to deal with me any longer. I was always good to them, but was apparently being shunned. Within about 6 or 8 months, we were moving and never spoke to them again (though I did try a few times only to be ignored or rebuffed. So, here it is 8 months later and he calls me out of the blue and says he's been thinking of me. He asks me how I'm doing and how my family is. I was taken aback, but remained polite until he got off the phone. How should I handle it? Should I just write them off and ignore him as I had for about a year? Or, should I consider his advances genuine and give them another chance at friendship? Is it even worth it at this point? I'm not sure what to do. What are your thoughts?

Question: Does everyone hate loners? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 04:59 PM PDT I just got a hint from several people that pretty much told me "nobody likes loners" (which I am one, only because I have no friends, and The more I try to meet people the more I get pushed away) I just read about a guy sitting at "their" lunch table alone, and apparently he was "an outcast" and "a dumb loner" and they were going as far as to making fun of YouTube videos that he makes. I just don't see why, it's bad enough that people like us don't have friends, but do you really have to make it that much worse for us? Do you hate loners? Or think they are stupid? Please answer with full honesty
Question: My friend no longer wants to drink at my house because of my brother. What should I do? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 04:57 PM PDT We always drink at my house. I told her that my brother had a huge fight with my mom. He tried breaking down my moms door and he start throwing stuff around in his room. My friend has always known that my brother is like this. Yet she still came. I m confused why now she doesn t want to drink at my house. Like there the same chances of him yelling and throwing **** around when she came over all those other times. So whats the difference now? When I told her she said "that is scary" I don t know what she thinks will happen to her. She knows perfectly nothing will happen to her as long as my parents are there. Am I being unfair or is she? I just don t get what has changed. Nothing has changed. I can t drink at her place because no one will be able to pick me up and I can t sleep over because I work the next day. I just feel like she is being a scary cat.
Question: What Should I Do? 10pts? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 04:34 PM PDT So we made plans a few times to hangout and she has ditched me to hang out with this girl who she claims she doesn't like, or finds annoying. So now i see that they are hanging out when she was suppose to be meeting me a few hours ago. Like she did this a few times , and the other girl doesn't even like me. And my friend always talks **** about her , but yet she hangs out with her. LIke i don't understand. advice?
Posted: 07 Oct 2016 04:19 PM PDT Me and my friend got into an argument. It lead to us removing each other on social media and not speaking for a little while. Eventually, we sat down and talked about it, made up with each other, and things were back to normal. However, when I went to re-friend them on social media (Snapchat, Insta, etc) they never added me back. When I brought up the question via text, it seemed, avoided. What would you say, how should I go about?
Posted: 07 Oct 2016 04:14 PM PDT a girl who i've been friends with since elementary school is acting really fake. whenever we are in the same class at school she sometimes leaves me to be with "the popular people". also, she tends to call other people "her best friends" even though i know for sure they would never call her their best friend. it's also annoying how when she teases me about stuff i'm fine with it, but when i tease her about stuff like about a guy she's been texting, she gets defensive and angry. should i call her out on this? i don't want her to get mad and i still want to be friends with her...

Question: I don't know if i should go to this party or not? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 03:55 PM PDT there's a house party tonight at this girls house who i just started becoming friends with and she invited me. 2 of my other friends are going and they asked me to go to. all the people at that party are considered the popular people and my two friends that are going are friends with them and I'm not. i got invited but I'm scared to go because i don't talk to those people and I'm afraid the people there are going to be mean to me or whatever cause i never go to parties or talk to that group of people. what is your honest opinion of what i should do? im also nervous cause i feel like I'm not gonna fit in with that group of people and just be awkward and alone the whole night
Question: How to handle the relationship? tomorrow night!? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 03:52 PM PDT for ease of telling the story, we will call my friend "john" -- what im trying to consider is how i should address the situation for tomorrow night, which will be our third homecoming. we do most things as a group, and especially during the tail end of last year and up until summer. ( ive been told im a very passive person .) over the summer of this year though, john started to hang out with this boy ( his personality is fine but hes been expelled teice so--? u can guess), from our own grade & another that graduated this year. most people portray them as "*****," but i understand u can say that and totally still be friends with someone.i tried talking to him this summer, which unsurprisingly he ignored, what bothered me was when i found out that he wasnt hanging out with our other mutual friends ( mostly of boys)... when it comes to how people treat others im a little oversensitive,so i was annoyed-- more so when school began again and they accepted him back as if he hadnt abandoned them for the summer?" to sum it up, thereve been a lot of incidents w john that his friends continue to forgive him for-- sucks how he changed? so i thought it was funny that he invited himself into the dinner etc, also mentioning that no one should "be themselves" around the date hes bringing-- almost positive that the dinner + homecoming event will be painful as far as giving john a wide berth, & i hate giving up on people but if ur not going to acknowledge someone? give him a wide berth??
Question: My friend is in a big big trouble. I need help!? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 03:50 PM PDT If anyone can help me with this trouble? A friend of mine sent her photos (private ones) on snapchat to me and her one other friend. The photos were not even saved. We saw it and deleted it asap. Now the photos are leaked. We all cannot understand how is this possible. The hacker is messaging her on instagram using a fake username and he/she even sent the same photos to her in direct msg to show her that the photos are actually leaked. Help me with this people!
Question: My best friend smokes and I am really worried? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 03:32 PM PDT My best friend is 15, he is a guy, and he smokes. The thing is, he is so not the type of a guy to do that. He is super friendly, fun and he comes from a rich family, so he is always really reserved and posh. But a few weeks ago he told me, that throughout the summer he started smoking, cigarettes, and I was shocked, because I never thought he would be able to do that and I see no reason for him to do that, because he has no reasons. I am really concerned about him.
| Question: Can you suggest some social hobbies? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 03:17 PM PDT Change in circumstance has me in a boring town with no friends, my only real hobby (other than spending all day online) is going to the gym but that's not really a social activity - any ideas for social hobbies? | Posted: 07 Oct 2016 02:38 PM PDT I have a friends that has so many problems, but she makes me feel like **** talking to her, if I help she gets mad, if I don't she gets mad. But I don't want to leave her alone because she needs some friends that care about her. But at the same time I don't like to be around her. I can't tell her to stop treating me so badly because she's super sensitive. I don't know what to do. |

Question: What do you think of this situation and what should I do? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 02:20 PM PDT Ok so at school today we were playing a game and were told to get in circles then when it was my turn we were going around and some girl said that I'm ed. This made me confused in the game and I was acting confused. People were even looking at me with disgusted faces. I have the girl in some of my classes and I always see her giving me disgusted faces when she sees me doing a good job and she looks happy when she sees me doing a bad job in every classes I have with her. So I act dumb and confused when I see her giving me a disgusted face when I'm doing a good job or when she sees me doing a good job. This hurted my feelings and made me feel bad about myself. I'm in high school. What do you think of this situation and what should I do?

Question: Do I need to end this friendship? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 01:46 PM PDT I have had a friend who I met when I was about 11 and we have been friends ever since (we are both 26 now). However for the past couple of years I have felt like we are growing apart and he is holding me back in a lot of ways. One of the things that probably bothers me the most is how different we have become. I like being active (playing football, golf, weight lifting, etc.) whereas his idea of a good time has changed over the past couple of years and he is now much more inclined to spend almost every hour either gaming or watching TV. Now do not get me wrong, if that makes him happy then he should keep doing that. The only problem is I do not enjoy that and it seems to be all he ever wants to do, even if I ask him if he wants to go do something else. Another difference that has occurred between us is that I like to look immaculate when leaving the house and he is more laid back in what this concerns. At the risk of sounding arrogant, he does not posses my level of intelligence which does at times put a strain on the friendship. Should I end this and find friends more suitable to my lifestyle? P.S. we used to be a lot more similar, which is why we became friends
Question: Friends constantly message me, how do I not seem rude about this? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 01:37 PM PDT My friends constantly message me, random sh*t too that I don't care to answer. Then my boyfriend messages me, but he doesn't constantly message me which is great. Plus I have work to do, and then my mom nags me about stuff, and I just can't handle it anymore. I want to turn my phone off, but I have to have it on incase of emergencies. I don't want to answer texts anymore they're annoying!! Does that make me seem rude? I feel like my mind is constantly being tugged back and forth and my mind is constantly hectic

Question: What does more mature mean? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 01:27 PM PDT My friend and roommate's friend said she has noticed in the last year that I'm more mature when it comes to Facebook. I guess like regarding my posts and comment. Does that mean I was immature prior to that or still mature but not where it should be? My friend and roommate also said that it could very well have to do with this 15 year old boy that has been a part of my life for like 6 months now and this kid and I have like a dad and son relationship. She said maybe it's because of him that I've matured on Fb. Why do you think that could be?
Question: How rare is true friendship? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 01:23 PM PDT So I have always been selfish, care less and not a people person. I never required friends before high school and never really had friends prior to it. But you NEED them in high school! So my first day of highschool I get to my first class and sit down next to the first guy I see. Good choice to, I considered him my best friend for a full year until I got sick of him. He however was indeed a peoples person and introduced me to a bunch of people who I got to know over the aforementioned year. One dude was kinda similar to me and ones my former best friend dropped out of school we stuck together and got pretty close over the following 3 years. I'm talking 8 hours of school and 2 hours of Skype every night exept for Sundays. It never got boring, ever. He even took me in when my mother kicked me out a couple of months ago. I had a serious argument with my mother who I hated already so no big deal, but when my family life sorta ended there was just one person I could call: My best friend. I told him my mother finaly went crazy and he asked: So what now? I responded with: Well your all that's left and asked him if I could stay at his place for a couple of days. This was not long ago.I'm 18 and he just turned 18 today. So... My question is: Exactly how rare is friendship like this?
Question: My friend has a black eye? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 01:13 PM PDT My best friend has a black eye and is coming in with constant injuries and has been since year 7 (now in year 11) she was crying today and the teacher kept asking what was wrong and stuff but she never tells anyone not even me. I have never been to her house and she always stays at mine most weekends and she seems happy when she is there but during the week when we are at school and she is at home she doesn t seem happy and is crying and injured all the time. The teachers and I are really worried but we don t know what to do. Have you got any idea what might be going on and what I can do about it ?
| Question: I have no friends and no social life. Help!!? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 01:06 PM PDT I have absolutely no friends. I have no hobbies or anything, I ve tried to find some but always failed. | Question: My friend caught me lying what do I do? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 12:59 PM PDT So my friend asked me to come over and I said yes at first, but then my other friends asked me to hangout with them and I said no at first but they kept bugging me and they convinced me to go with them. So when I went to hangout with my friends and told the other guy I had a doctors appointment. Then he caught me at Starbucks when I was supposed to be at a "Doctor s appointment". I feel really bad for lying but I didn t want to tell him I ditched him to hangout with my other friends. |

Question: What to do when you have a problem with your classmates? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 12:41 PM PDT Last year was my freshman year at college , I met my new classmates for the first time and I was happy , then they started hating on me for no reason but they kept asking me for favors and also backbiting me , saying harsh things to me and so on...it was hard but I learnt to ignore them and focus on myself with the help of few good friends too. But this year things got off limits it became unsupportable and really bad their level of hate and hypocrisy has evolved to level 100! It's crazy !! They do all sort of things now they say stupid childish things in front of the professors just to make me look bad. I can see the hate in their eyes! I didn't know what to do and I've asked them multiple times if I did anything wrong and the answer was always negative but they keep this bad attitude towards me! I don't know what to do! I've began to question myself am I a bad person? Should I change classes? Should I stay and fight back? I'm quite lost!! I need to make a decision! What would u do if u were me?
Question: My birthday is in one month but I have no friends. Should I even bother with a party? ? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 12:40 PM PDT *Sighs* oh the joys of being an awkward introvert. I'm turning 16 in a month and everyone makes such a big deal out of the whole sweet 16 thing but I don't have any real friends and I'm not even a party person. Does it matter? The only "friends" I have are fakes who have been plain rude to me in the past. Should I even bother with a party? Lol. I'm not emo, I'm just shy. But okay
Question: Lost my best friend after switching to her school? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 12:27 PM PDT My best friend encouraged me to go to her school because it was closer to my house than my other school, which was very far and so I did. When I switched, she didn't hang out with me because I didn't have friends and I looked like a loser but she stood up for me whenever someone was rude to me. Everytime I said hi to her she stuck up the middle finger and walked by but she'd still talk to me and she said that it was only a joke so I didn t care and laughed it off every single time. Now I made friends but apparently they were her friends and when I was walking with them she called me and i stuck the middle finger up thinking it was a joke but she got very upset and yelled at me in front of the whole school. I tried explaining that I wasn't trying to act cool or steal her friends like she thinks I was but she didn't listen. I went to class late so I could talk to her, I texted her and I asked her friends to tell her that I was sorry but she still doesn't care and is ignoring me. Now, I lost my best friend and it hurts because we were so close. How else do I gain her forgiveness?
Question: Are all high school guys like this? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 12:14 PM PDT I am the only girl in my AP Calculus class. My classmates are all my friends and are great guys. We have a lot of home work so we sometimes gather at someone's house and do our homework together. This time it was my house. After we completed the homework, my mom served all the guys fresh homemade apple pie and ice cream. They loved it. We usually rotate whose house we go to for doing the homework. However the guys ask me if we could go to my house again for the homework. That is OK with me. I just thought they liked the pie and ice cream my mom made for them. Then one of the guys told me the real reason they wanted to come to my house. When mom served them pie and ice cream she wore her Daisy Dukes. Are all high school guys like this that they are horny for someone twice their age?
Question: Girl crushes affecting my social life? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 11:58 AM PDT I'm a 15 year old girl in high school, and ever since elementary school I've had fixations, i guess you could call it, on other girls. In elementary school, there was that pretty and popular girl and I'd stare at her and think about her a lot, and wish I could be her/be friends with her. I remember being starstruck and like "omg she's so pretty". In middle school, i went to a camp and the assistant there was like an HS junior, and she was SO pretty i got really nervous and quiet whenever she was around me. now i'm in high school and this is starting to affect my social life. i'm super shy around pretty, popular upperclassmen whereas other girls in my grade have no trouble making friends with them, but whenever im around them i can't bring myself to talk to them or look them in the eye because i'm afraid they'll think i'm weird or not want to be friends with me. every time i have a successful conversation with them i internally get excited about it and think about it. the same thing happens with me when i talk to other popular and pretty girls in my grade when i don't know them well - i get nervous and feel EXTREMELY self-conscious. this doesn't happen around less popular girls - i've noticed it's mainly just around older/same age girls i admire/want to befriend/want to be them. That's the thing, i want to befriend them but i'm afraid of attempting to make that connection because what if they don't like me? Am I lesbian or just super self-conscious? How do I get past this? oh yeah forgot to mention: i can't imagine myself making out with them that's kind of gross to me but i also have had crushes on guys and couldnt really imagine myself kissing them either... i don't really have any sexual experience at all so i don't know whether i'm lesbian or not also i've started to like dirty scenes in books and such but i attribute that to my hormones. and i've never like looked at a girl's chest or butt and like gotten turned on or anything.. but that's also never happened with guys, except i like abs lol
Question: Need advice on how to end a "friendship"? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 11:41 AM PDT so theres this girl that goes to my church, and for almost 10 years she has been like my stalker. she is obsessed with me. she wants to wear the same things as me, have the same interests, play the same games, even talk the same and think the same as me. she even changes her viewpoint on things because she thinks it will get me to like her more. Over the years her mom and my mom became friends and I was forced to be friends with her because otherwise her mom would become furious with me. I just cant take being friends with her anymore. we would be friends for awhile and then stop, then make up, and then the cycle would repeat. Last yr, I tried hard to be friends and have a good attitude about her but I just cant take it anymore. the only time we see each other is at church and she constantly needs to be with me. she's my shadow. I have tried ignoring her but then her mom would come and have a talk with me to get me to change my mind. when I would get like this we would stop being friends, but then started again, because I tried my best to reason with her and explain that I didn't want to be friends, but then she would cry hysterically and run to her mother and then her mom would get mad at me, and the only solution was to act like we were friends. u cant reason with her. I have tried ignoring her but it wont work. Idk what to do but I need to end this friendship now or I will explode. could you guys maybe give me some advice? (sorry if this was kind of confusing) THANK U! oh and I should mention that im 16 and shes 12. I hate the fact that there is a 4 year age difference between us because it only convinces me more that we are nothing alike. she is constantly shocked at things that I do, like when I curse or talk about sex, she flips out because she doesn't think that way, and then she tattles to her mom and then I get in trouble. I cant be who I am with her.

Posted: 07 Oct 2016 11:25 AM PDT I guess I'm just not meant to really have any friends. Every time I try to talk to someone they always seem irritated and not interested in talking to me which makes me feel like something is wrong with me. I always end up feeling down and lonely again. I probably should stop trying I'm probably meant to be alone I guess.

Question: Should I go to a party at my college alone? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 11:17 AM PDT There s a glow party coming up at my college ( an HBCU) soon and i think its a cool theme so I would like to go but I don t want to go alone. I wouldn t be alone exactly because I would be going with my sister but since were always together for me it just feels like I m still by myself. I have social anxiety and I could see myself going and thinking that were the only ones there that s lonely and without friends and end up leaving five minutes after getting there. I ve had a hard time making friends in school so I m trying to get more involved and meet people but I m scared that I might be setting myself up for failure. My school is small so everyone pretty much knows each other and have their cliques. I think people may see my sis and I as antisocial but really we re just shy and introverted. I don t want to go and just be standing their awkward while everyones having fun. Also I probably wont dance because I dont really like dancing in front of people. But I still enjoy going to parties and listening to the music and stuff but I like to atleast have friends to go with. Should I go to the party?

Question: Paying for a friend to come on a trip with you? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 10:36 AM PDT I make $220/hr at my job. I want to go on a trip and I invited some friends. I know they all make between $10 and $20/hr. I want to pay their way because I know they work hard and money causes them stress. And, I just want them to have a worry-free trip. I invited them and picked the location. So, I want to pay. What is the socially acceptable way to offer to pay?

Question: Is it right that my friend got offended when I said to her that we talked "vulgar"? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 09:57 AM PDT I was trying to introduce her to a new friend but she find it awkward to visit her home and would rather see her first on a caffe, I said okay maybe I'll check first if your and her personality are match (because she sound so hesitant), I'll check if she's okay with you because we talked vulgar and then she exploded. She said, I'm so offended of what you said, I'm too old now for this ****(she's 32, I'm 24) and I don't need a friend bla-bla-bla !!! (And she kept talking, not listening to my explainations/defense) Well I said we talked vulgar because she tend to call me "slut, whore, we talked about s*x (we're married), she said to me that he's husband called me pornstar wanna be, and she called my husband pedophile in front of me on my bday party Well I got offended with her words but I just ignored it all because I think it's her personality and that she's just really talkative that she uses every word she can find, and now that I said to her a single word to describe the way she talked to me she found it offensive right away ? And for the record : I'm not a slut/whore, I was a big V until I got married with my one and only bf which is now my husband I'm short, that's why I dress up short dresses (4"11) so again I can't be a pornstar My husband is not a pedophile, we are 17 years apart but I was 21 when we met (and he looks like 28 years old, compare to most men of his age) She's the one who initiate to talk about our s*x lives most of the time, I just follow.

Question: How do I make friends? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 09:33 AM PDT I have got friends and I want to meet more people but I'm horribly shy and awkward. I always smile at people if they look at me but I feel like I have to laugh at everything they do to come across polite. I don't want to be a loner in my lessons and I haven't really found the knack of talking to new people. I have self confidence issues and feel really embarrassed and paranoid that someone's talking about me behind my back. does any one know how to not be so self conscious?
Posted: 07 Oct 2016 09:32 AM PDT Apparently, my roommate made plans for me to sleep in someone else's room without telling me. 🤔🤔🤔 How do I address this without being rude? I'm obviously irritated and angry by this. I'm not leaving my room so them two(boyfriend and girlfriend) can have a sex palace. I didn't get student loans for this. The thing is I'm too nice, so people think they can walk over me.
Question: Did he want to see me? Posted: 07 Oct 2016 08:19 AM PDT He was saying this because I kept asking him if he would meet me.
