I'm a groomsman in a friend's wedding. It's his second marriage and he is in his 50s; I'm in my 40s. The wedding invitation says to wear "whatever makes you happy" and we groomsmen are told to wear dark jeans and a white shirt, and the couple will get purple jackets and ties for us. I don't have dark jeans and would never wear anything less than a suit at an event like this...but since we're told to wear dark jeans, I get a pair of Levi's (inexpensive and I can wear them around the house) and just go with the flow?

So personally I don't have many friends. I have a twin sister that I mostly hang out with. I don't have work friends either. I'm scared about having a wedding because usually they are grand and have many people. On my boyfriends side he will probably have way more people than me. I would just have my family (which is small). It's just honestly embarrassing and I feel like everyone would ask where all my friends are. And I only have like 2 people to be bridesmaids. How should I go about this in the future?
