Posted: 13 Jul 2019 04:47 PM PDT So this happened to me several years ago. I became very ill and was chronically ill for years. The once outgoing person that I was ended when I became ill with a chronic debilitating disease that wasn't visible to people's sight, but it made it very hard for me living day to day. I could barely work, which left me too poor to hang out and do things with my friends. They would call and see if I could go to their parties and to hang out and I either simply couldn't afford to do anything or I just didn't feel well enough. Most of my friends just dropped off the face of the earth, and others even dropped me as their fb friend. And this didn't just happen to me with friends, this happened with my family as well. Even though I would tell them how sorry I was and I explained to them how difficult my illness was making me, most of them still dropped off the face of the earth! Is this really how most people are? Selfish and uncaring? And btw, this happened with almost everyone I knew (I have a big family, used to have dozens of friends of varying ages of people in their 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's. |
Question: I honestly can't tell where we stand anymore, if we're together, or...? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 04:04 PM PDT I'm a guy. Been best friends with the same girl since childhood (Our parents were old friends) I'll call her K. We've always been close/trusted each other and K looks out for me, sometimes more than I'd like. She's super loyal, but sometimes she speaks for me or makes decisions on my behalf, thinking she knows what's best for me. She usually does, but she can be kind of stern when she believes she's right. We're basically inseparable. My parents actually think we'll wind up married someday, I've overheard them. A lot of people mistake us for a couple when they first meet us, and I've noticed that K never corrects them. She also tends to be judgmental of other girls I talk to, disliking them for one reason or another. In general, we don't have a lot of boundaries.Sharing a bed when we stay overnight, making each other lunches. She doesn't mind changing in the same room as me. I didn't think much of it until one morning I woke up while she was in the shower - and hadn't bothered to close the door. So I guess she doesn't mind if I see her naked? But it's not like she's that free with her body. She tends to dress modestly at school - never even wears tank tops except around me. Did we just like...become a couple without me noticing? We were already planning on rooming together in college, once we graduate. I wouldn't put it past K to just decide that we're better off together, and start living life as my girlfriend without any input from me. I don't know what to think? |
Posted: 13 Jul 2019 01:53 PM PDT I texted the orthopedic doctor I work with that I have a disc bulge that's moderate to severe and May see him with my ins. He replied ok, are you ok? I said the chiropractor just told me after looking at my mri. A bit worrisome and he replied which part the mri or that you went to a chiropractor? I said the mri results lol then later texted him I just got the joke good one lol(thought he was joking meaning chiros aren't real docs) he didnt reply to that. Later I got a call missed call from our office which I found strange so I took a screenshot and sent it to him saying this is so strange that I got a call from our office then got another call it was just automated reminder for my appt. I texted him nvm it's for my appt. he didn't reply to me at all, I thought he was interested but since he didjnt reply I'm wondering if it's because he's upset that I went to a chiropractor and not him given his text.I feel low for texting him and not being replied to. If he were interested he'd say something right? |
Question: Should i give up on this music partner who does not seem comitted? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 01:50 PM PDT i have been trying to put together a musical duo, i make the music a partner sings and helps with writing/formulating the vocal melody and lyrics. Now i have found a person, good singer, not that close by but appears to want to be part of the 'band' . The only niggle i have is there are huge spaces between our sessions and i want someone who is sending music, lyrics and ideas back and forth. Here is an example of the type of communication that goes on... Person says, oh i am going on holiday next week, fine have a great holiday. So i left her to it, and finally when 5 weeks had passed i text her saying, hi hows it going, had some chit chat back and forth then said do you still want to do this, i wont be offended if you have found something else or had second thoughts. she completely ignored that statement and said i will get back to you at the weekend and we can arrange something, so weekend comes and in pops this text saying how about the 1st weekend in August? FYI that is 3 weeks away. i feel like she is stringing me along and hoping i bin her off but still turns up for the rehearsals ... any ideas what i should do because it really is not inspiring me in a musical way at all... by the way, i dont know this person from adam and we are both married so no s3xu4l tension exists... |

Question: I don't understand my friend. Does the way she acts sound strange? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 01:45 PM PDT -sometimes I won't talk to her for weeks, and she'll talk to me in a way like I just talked to her yesterday -I've known her for 5 years -I didn't talk to her for like 5 months one time. So I removed her on one of my social media sites. Then 5 minutes after I removed her, she sent me like 10 messages asking why, acting angry, and saying how I'm never going to leave her -about 3 years ago I talked to her everyday. Now I talk to her about once a month -one time she said "you're stuck with me for life. You know your place. You know why too haha". What does that mean? It feels like she acts like we have a close friendship, but then other times it seems like she doesn't pay much attention to me. I don't really get it. |

Posted: 13 Jul 2019 11:51 AM PDT I had to make my answer short to fit the words so i will explain it here my older brother used to be a very happy person who lived his life normally but oneday he were joking with his friend and his friend sit down at him and from that day my brother had a hard time breathing and became depressed, worried all the time plus he became worse when my dad died he started to take medication but nothing helped him Sorry for my grammar i rushed it |
Question: Is being 27 and hanging out with your parents too old? Lol? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 10:48 AM PDT I do have plenty of friends I talk to and hang out with so my parents aren't my only best-friends but I do enjoy hanging out with my mom and dad quiet a lot, is there anything wrong with that? |
Question: Does MS13 accept white people? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 09:34 AM PDT No I don't want to join MS13. |
Question: Where can I meet a girlfriend? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 09:33 AM PDT I'm 21 years old and a guy. I've never had a serious girlfriend. I've dated here and there, usually a co worker or friend of a friend but nothing has worked out. I just don't know where to meet more girls. I'm either at work (I work 40 hrs) or at home. I do have a car. Any ideas? I need to be where girls around my age are. I don't go to school so that's a disadvantage obviously. I'm putting my foot down. I feel like my life is totally awesome, I just need a girlfriend to love and complete it. |

Question: Did I do the right thing in regards to this cute worker at Burger King I like? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 08:24 AM PDT So yesterday was the second time this cute worker at Burger King has waited on me. She's really cute and I know her first name from her name tag on her work shirt. Her and I have never really talked as I was busy placing my orders each time I saw her. I wanted to add her on Facebook but I didn't as it may creep her out. I found her profile on Facebook, I recognize her. She knows nothing about me. I'm dying to talk to her and learn more about her. I sent her a friendly casual message on Facebook yesterday but I don't know if she will ever see it. Given her and I aren't friends on Facebook, my message may go to a different mailbox. |
Question: Friend wants an apology? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 08:23 AM PDT So a few weeks ago my parents weren't home and I had friends over. I told one of my friends who had rolled a joint to wait with it till I come back (weed is illegal where I live, imagine cops showing up at my place while I'm gone). Went to the gas station with another friend to buy snacks (we were gone for 20-25min). I come back, said friend is smoking a joint. On my terrace. After I explicitly told him to wait with the joint. Ended up kicking him out, obviously. Now he wants an apology, almost a month after it happend. His arguments are: 1) It wasn't my weed so I have no right to be mad. 2) I told him not to smoke the joint he rolled while I was there. The one he had smoked was another one he rolled after I was gone. Do I actually have to apologize for anything? I explicitly told him to wait till I was back. It was clear. Futhermore, he now accuses me of being a bad friend, a liar (?) and that I was wrong and had never told him not to smoke. (I think that if someone tells me to wait with a joint till their back, that would include ALL joints?) |
Question: Can I ask out my sisters former friend? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 08:06 AM PDT I'm a guy and I'm 21. So recently I got one of my sisters friends from high school on my Instagram. Their 18. The two no longer talk. I think this girl is cute. I've met her briefly before, she was my sisters friend. Can I ask her out? How can I do it? Should I ask my sister first? |

Question: Shoul I avoid these friends? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 06:29 AM PDT I felt drain and bad after meeting them on Sunday. They were talking badly about a guy who didn t have a job last year and said he was a loser. He got a job now at a very good company and they were laughing and said he got a silly job and he won t go far in life. He had an offer to move to a different state but his parents are elderly so he didn t take it up because he has to look after them. They said he was a loser for this. Also I have an Asian friend who is good friends with me and they were like they don t know how I hang out with Asian people and that they scare them. I found this rather narrow minded and racist. They met my Asian friend and acted fine around them but now they say this. Being around them really got me down. Am I right to now avoid them and make better friends? |

Question: How do you get to know people? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 03:10 AM PDT hi everyone. wondered what is best ways to make a good looking friend in a small town and also how to make a few normal friends some in same town/not far and some a small distance away so you can go on trip and stay there or in a cabin and go see them. wondered because you see photos of people you know with their friends and people with someone and you just want friends you hang around on and off. if you dont have your own van to be able to tow and pay for a site or stay in overnight stop depending on wether you need to use the aircon or high load 240v appliances what other options are there. if you have a few and cant drive after where could you go and what accomodation options are there. theres a shed not far where guys go and do go there do bits and peices and the nice old guys could have grandkids. volunteer at a school and they do happy hour and wondering wether it might be worth asking the principal there what the go is with it then have a think about it. what are the exact steps with girls ranging from approaching them to talking to them then getting one and keeping it as long as you can. when is a right and a wrong time and place to approach them and how do you talk to them. also what are exact steps from approaching people and making normal friends. in the copper coast there doesnt seem to be much on unless you organise them yourself. what options are there that arent far. how do you get more events happening in copper coast. l |

Question: Why is this woman so controlling towards me? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 02:19 AM PDT I became friends with this older woman at my church. She is in her fifties and I am twenty one. I have noticed that she is very controlling, and tells me what to do and sometimes this upsets me because I feel like she gives me bad advice. She has just broke up with her boyfriend of six years. There was this guy I liked in my group at church and one night when I got drunk i told her I liked him. I said he messaged me and asked me to hang out, and showed her the message and she told me he didn't like me, and was just being friendly and that I shouldn't date anyone from church and focus on myself. One time I was texting my friend and I saw she was glaring at me, then after the service she asked me who I was texting and told me I shouldn't be texting a guy. She can't have children, and is past that age, and she told me after getting drunk that I should have a one night stand, get pregnant and then give her the baby. She kept telling me that the bar man fancied me because he gave me my drink for free, and said I should go for him instead of a church guy. When I'm at church helping out I see her just stood there glaring at me. It feels like I can't speak to anyone else in the church she always finds me and speaks to me the entire time She also gets angry with me. If I say something to upset or offend her, she will shout at me. I'm walking on eggshells in case she loses her temper with me and starts shouting at me Why is my friend so controlling towards me? |
Question: Should I stay away from this woman? Posted: 13 Jul 2019 02:14 AM PDT I'm in my twenties and there is this woman who goes to my church, and she clings onto me. She is in her fifties and has just got out of a six year relationship. She always comes to find me after church and speaks to me the entire time, and doesn't let me speak to anyone else. If a guy comes up to speak to me, she ends up shouting at him and asking him to leave I went on a night out with my friend who is also in her twenties, and the older friend knows my friend and she ended up texting her and coming out with us. The older woman kept passing me drinks and telling me to drink them. I got drunk and then opened up to her about this guy I liked who was in my group at the church and I told her I thought he liked me back, because he sent me a message asking to go to an event with him. I showed her the message he sent me and she told me he didn't like me, and that he was just being friendly and that she would have sent someone else a message in a friendly way to just try and include them and make them feel welcome. Then the older woman walked me home and gave me a lecture telling me to not date any men and to focus on myself and God. Then when I got home later, she texted me and asked me if I had drank the last alcoholic drink she gave me. This upset me because I'm pretty sure he did like me because all the other signs were there, but my older friend convinced me he didn't so I ended up being cold with him and now he has a girlfriend. Should I distance myself from this woman? |

Question: Why do people ignore my feelings? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 09:50 PM PDT For as long as I can remember I've been titled "Funny," "tough," and "smart." If someone is sad I do everything in my power to make them feel better, and lighten the mood. I try to make everyone feel happy. I notice when people are sad. If I'm ever sad, am I noticed? No, of course not. I stay quiet and obviously look sad until I have to talk because I want to add to a conversation or maybe because I'm a loud mouth. I guess no one understands that I am sad at some points. No one cares. What do I do. School starts in about a month and a half, and I don't want this to happen like it has for the many years I've been in school. I can be actively crying and no one will care. |
Question: Was I taken advantage of or am I making a big deal of nothing? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 09:11 PM PDT I got drunk the other night with some close friends, one of which had a thing for me. Everything was going good and I ended up getting plastered. I woke up the next morning to messages asking me if I remembered the last night. Of course, I didn't. Then someone tells me I had sex with said friend that had a thing for me. I would never do anything with that person sober and I haven't been able to quit thinking about it. They were sober and I was drunk. Like drunk drunk. Falling, slurring words, dancing drunk. They told my friends not to tell me about it and that they hoped I wouldn't remember. The person keeps telling me it was consensual but I can't help but feel weird about it. I don't remember what happened, All I can remember was puking and then going home. I can't even see this person without getting sick. I still don't know everything that happened. I'm not sure if i'm just being dramatic or if something actually is off about what happened. Opinions? |
Posted: 12 Jul 2019 08:49 PM PDT Okay, short and nicely. I have friends, but lately we have been talking less and less, and Im out less and less. I want to ask to hang but they dont take initiative either so I dont know if they even wanna meet. I've never been with the popular kids, why? There got to be a reason, and this thought ***** me up. What is wrong with me? What have I done wrong? Why dont they like me? I cant be myself anywhere, because People excpect me to be this person overreacting to everything and being interested in them, because of insecurities I never talk about myself. I dont think anyone would care if I said anything. I feel that if somebody were to kill me, nobody would stop them. I feel like I Will end up without friends, because maybe I have this horrible personality and I just cant see it myself. The popular kids stare at me A LOT. And I didnt use to give a **** but now that my friend group is dissappearing and I'm barely out of my house, let alone withh friends, I do care. Something must be wrong with me. Too weird, too boring, too shy, too out going, or just really really ugly? I never open messages, snaps or texts because I have anxiety to Come up with a good answer so they Will stay interested and not just stop talking to me. Im sick of caring, but Im scared that if I dont care I Will end up with no friends because maybe Im a weird *** person? I have heard about People ending up without friends, and Who knows if thats me in the future? Im terrefied. |

Question: Is it normal to have a conversation about life with best friend’s gf? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 07:24 PM PDT To start things off, all 3 of us are best friends, no I do not have feelings for her whatsoever. We're basically like brother and sister.... but just between us two we had a deep convo about life and how we were/are depressed. Is that normal? Like I said, I don't have feelings, I would never do that to my best friend who I call brother, and she would never do that to him.... I guess it just felt good for someone to finally understand for once |
Question: I think i like this guy but he is my best friend?
