I am a man whose classmate in 9th grade was very belligerent to me, as if she hated me for no reason. I'm in high school and I have a friend, let's call her Amy. Amy invites me to hang out with her and some of her other friends sometimes. Two of these friends are boys from another school. They always seem to avoid me and my other friend, Haley. They always sit at separate tables when we eat and they never play games with us. I am 22 and I didn't have any friends during my teen years. I rely on my mother for emotional support and she helps me with most of my chores. I feel like she is the only one who cares about me. Hello! My sixteenth birthday party is in exactly a week from today. I've been planning for some time and am sticking with a bohemian, outdoorsy theme. It'll be on my deck with fairy lights and lots of flowery touches! I've ordered a few things like favor bags and have gotten some prizes for games, but I need some more ideas and input from other people. It'll probably be easier to follow if I list out the questions so I'll do that :) 1) What should I put in the favor bags? On the bags it says "A Sweet Thank You" so I kind of want to do a play on words and put something sweet inside. Originally I was thinking a brownie or big cookie or a few macarons (which were too pricey), but then I remembered one friend is allergic to peanuts. Traces of nuts are okay for her to eat, but nothing that directly contains peanuts. Also, would something sweet be enough or does it seem too little/cheap? 2) I need game ideas! I only have "Who Knows the Birthday Girl Best" and truth or dare so far. I had an idea to make my own jeopardy: A Blast from the Past (2003) vs. Current Culture (2019), where I have trivia from both years and the pair who wins gets a prize. I need more games you could win prizes for though and that fit into my theme! 3) There's a 30 percent chance of rain/ a storm the day of my party.
