Posted: 20 Jul 2019 05:09 PM PDT I have a pattern I noticed, I make friends or cool with someone - than they do something I don't like or is disrespectful, i stand up for myself or treat them the same back and then they snap and we're not friends. I use to have worse self esteem and confidence and kept my friends and was cool with every one - for some reason my self esteem got better along with my confidence But then I lost my friends or not cool with people as much any more since I feel better about myself. Why are people like this? It feels like the only way to keep friends is allowing them to be rude to you or devalue you a little which now I won't allow or give them an excuse. People just can't respect others and value them and accept that and be friends - it's like they wanna be better than you |

I hung out with 1, and we got close , and then I found out she's friends with 2 so we made plans to hangout. 2 invited me to her bday party shortly after (she has a twin sister) and I became close with the girls that she invited to this party. But then I started noticing they wouldn't invite me anywhere especially since I'm close with 1! They would all hang out together and wouldn't invite me. I finally mentioned something and We all went to the beach yesterday however the water was super cold so I said to 1&2 can you guys hang tomorrow? They both said "idk I don't Think so" and I don't think I can... of course I was on Snapchat watching stories ... ALL of them are together again AT THE POOL, I slid up on one of the girls stories (1) and I said "oop" and she left me on open. Like they said they probably couldn't hang out... also when we were making plans to go to the beach (2 & 1) was like begging me to invite her twin sister because it would be "rude" if I didint. So is it not rude that none of them thought to invite me? Should I text (1) and tell her I'm kinda disappointed because I asked if she could hang out and she said probably not. when they are nice, I really like them but at time she like this I dislike them. He said that if I didn't pass it (it's an online thing) he would take away my laptop and phone for the first semester of the 9th grade. Problem is, I only had half a month to finish an ENTIRE YEAR of school! Even worse, since I only failed one course, I didn't even have to take the course in the first place. It was his decision for me to take this unnecessary course. I see it as EXTREMELY unreasonable to withhold from me my ability to contact friends outside of school. I could understand him taking away my laptop for a semester, but my phone is going too far. How do I talk to him about this and convince him not to do what he's saying he'll do? Please help!! |

He and some other of my friends had been hanging out twice without inviting me, or letting me know (We usually hang out together). While they did nothing wrong, I wasn't in a good place and opened up, saying I felt isolated, but that I wasn't attacking them, I just felt alone. He proceeded to interrogate me on why I felt this way, and said he shouldn't be responsible for my feelings, and that my insecurity had been annoying him. He wanted a break. I had been wanting a break from him for two weeks prior, since he had an anti social episode and told me he didn't care about people's feelings, and didn't want to have any friends suddenly because he was 'bored' I had been annoyed with him for a while because he can be condescending and has admitted to being controlling, and knows he has mental issues he refuses to get help for. Him blowing up at me hurt, but I wanted to know if I was in the wrong by being upset, so I was oddly relieved when he responded. I'm not sure I should take this from him as a friend any longer, and I know he's not going to apologize for intentionally trying to hurt me, because he always has to be right. He's incredibly argumentative and I don't really like confrontation, although we have had talks and heated discussions in the past. The worst of those felt justified at least, but in this case I was just opening up and he went off. I'm not sure how long he wants to break, but I don't have anyone else to hang out with, because everyone is busy or has no transportation, like me. |

Back in october, before me and Brian met, me and oscar were a thing for about a week, we then decided to just be fwb, and we continued being friends with benefits, for a course of about 3 months. Then since March I wasn't interested in being fwb anymore, so I made excuses each time that oscar wanted to meet up. He finally understood. Point is, I eneded this fwb situation with Oscar about 2-3 months BEFORE I met brian. Flash forward to now, me and Brian seemed to be doing good, texting everyday, hanging out, etc. Until recently I've seen that brian has been hanging out with his guy friends a lot lately, including my past fwb(Oscar), Since a week ago, Brian has been acting strange with me, like leaving me on open. He then told me he's been busy lately, but that he's alright. Then he completely ignored my next message! I'm so heartbroken because I know there's a reason for this. Kunti was my sister and babli and sunita was friends... So 2 years before. In oct. I was preparing bday surprises for my boyfriend.. And i bought two expensive shirts for him.... So just one day before his bday i search my shirt for packing but couldn't found it... Then i realized it was stolen.. And i was noticing that even someone stoles money from my purse.....and all my friends started blaming my bestfriend(namita) for this...the bubli started blaming like she come to your house when you are not there etc. .. And i brokeup with namita....we had a very bad fight ..... And after few months i found that even my purse was missing which was gifted by my bf .... But i was scared of telling anyone.. Now after two years i came to know that bubli was the thief... I had doubt on her so me and my sister always try to watch her activities and when we checked her bf's fb account we saw his photo in same shirt... I lost my bestfriend just bcoz of her. . And i can't tell her bcoz she knows all the secrets of me and my sister. And the chances are higher of having a worse fight. So i want to avoid it.. But don't want to continue friendship with her.. I came into the college with a friend from highschool and we just kinda stuck with each other through the first semester because we're not very good at meeting new people. When second semester came around we rushed a frat and both got bids. I didn't like the long nights and hazing so I dropped but he stuck through it. He now spends all of his time with the frat and won't be rooming with me next year. I made a couple of friends but I started dating one of their girlfriends and now they all despise me and just last week me and that girl split up. I'm going into my sophomore year with no friends and I just don't know how to make true good friends anymore. I just want to enjoy college so I'm not miserable there please help. |

I rarely ever did hang out with a main group, like i dont even care if it was 2 or 3 people. Im trying to get everyone to hang more before we go to college, but no one responds, and im the only one to ask it feels like. Ik they dont hate me and that they are ignoring me, but how can i just go about trying to get everyone together and finally feel like i was able to hang out and do normal fun things i never really experienced? Also, there are probobly like 6 in my friend group, and when we hang we always have fun, but its so rare that we do. and usually we are always doing trips and not doing basic stuff like sleep overs and such |

I broke my wrist four years ago. I never heard from her for SIX MONTHS. The only reason I heard from her is I sent her a text acknowledging her sister's birthday because she's deceased. This woman ONLY sens text messages, and calls when she wants, but I can't call her because she won't return my calls. She sent a text once saying she doesn't return my calls because we will talk too long. Then just say after a certain period of time you have to hang up!! She has sent me text messages before saying I'll call you tonight but she never does. Even with text, she lets a lot of time go by before responding back to me. Now I just let a long time go by before responding back to her. What amazes me is she'll say in a text sometimes this is from your best friend. She's not my best friend, it's funny how she thinks so. (How could she possibly think that?) I've written her off pretty much & she doesn't even know it. She's supposed to be coming into my town in several months, not to see me, but to see a relative. She'll want to stay at my house because she won't have to pay for a motel. I'm going to tell her I'm too busy & doing something else. She's asked me before to drive a two hour drive to visit her relative so she won't have to drive. The answer is NO!!!! |

She is in her fifties and has just got out of a six year relationship. She always comes to find me after church and speaks to me the entire time, and doesn't let me speak to anyone else. If a guy comes up to speak to me, she ends up shouting at him and asking him to leave I went on a night out with my friend who is also in her twenties, and the older friend knows my friend and she ended up texting her and coming out with us. The older woman kept passing me drinks and telling me to drink them. I got drunk and then opened up to her about this guy I liked who was in my group at the church and I told her I thought he liked me back, because he sent me a message asking to go to an event with him. I showed her the message he sent me and she told me he didn't like me, and that he was just being friendly and that she would have sent someone else a message in a friendly way to just try and include them and make them feel welcome. Then the older woman walked me home and gave me a lecture telling me to not date any men and to focus on myself and God. Then when I got home later, she texted me and asked me if I had drank the last alcoholic drink she gave me. This upset me because I'm pretty sure he did like me because all the other signs were there, but my older friend convinced me he didn't so I ended up being cold with him and now he has a girlfriend. Should I distance myself from this woman? |

It was before my exam, I hoped he'll support me but he's disappeared. Neither he turned up when I wrote him about the death of my father. After several weeks of wait I thought that he wanted to abandon me and wrote him that I'll let go if he doesn't want to be there for me. He's never written back. He has a very stressful job, now I think maybe he's just been busy? Was I wrong to expect him to be there for me? Why is he not replying? Should I wait or try contacting him myself? I have no way to contact him other than by email so unless he replies I won't know what's really going on. What should I say? Or should I not contact him unless he says something first? But I wrote him already about letting go, could he give up because of that? I could really use some advice. Thanks for reading! |

He doesn't express his feelings to anyone and when he's by himself, there's a difference between of how he acts alone vs when people are around. He also wants to get out of the state so bad because of conflicts with people in the state he is in and he's trying to find a way to find himself and have a distance away from people. I want to still be friends with him but I don't really think that cutting people off is necessary. I do respect his decisions as well and I don't know the reason why he doesn't express himself. How do you guys feel about this? |

I kinda feel annoyed and resentful towards them because I feel abandoned and sometimes I'll text in the group chat and they won't respond, they go out with other people and make an effort, but with me they don't try and it brings back the thought that people don't actually want to be around me. Am I wrong for wanting to cut them off completely so it won't hurt so much? |

| Posted: 19 Jul 2019 06:55 AM PDT so basically i was at his house and we were playing on the computer and he has a pet toad and i really want it because have no pets and so basically he let me hold it and the next morning it was time for me to go home so when my friend was in the bathroom i took the cage with the toad in it and started to leave his house with it and i started to walk home and my friend saw me and yelled at me asking what i was doing and i ran away from him with the toad cage and he chased me and i screamed at him to leave me alone and ran to my house and he continued chasing me screaming and i took the toad out of the cage and let it go in the forest and he started crying saying i had no right to do that so i grabbed the empty toad cage and threw it at him and it smashed. he went home crying and now he doesn't talk to me anymore and i'm sad |
