I m 14 and am currently on vacation in Porto for 1 month and 11 days with my grandparents on my dad s side. I ve been here for less than a week and I ve started to have really bad homesickness. I call my mother and brother back home but I feel worse after the call ends. I came here to Porto with my grandparents so that I could see all my family here again and so I can have a break from my brother s tantrums, however, since I speak very little Portuguese, it s hard to communicate with my family here. Most of my days here have been spent by seeing family and feeling like an outcast because I don t understand what everyone is saying when my grandma speaks with the family for hours. I thought that I would enjoy my vacation because when I had first come to Porto 7 years ago, I enjoyed it very much. I really don t know what to do here or how to make myself feel happier during my vacation. I don t want to tell my grandparents how I m feeling because they were really happy for me to be here and think that I m very happy to be here too, so I don t want to make them sad. Any advice would be very appreciated

Okay so, i am homelesss, but am not entirely poor. I live in hotels, but my mom had to get medical things done in a different country so her family in that country paid. We are here in that country currently. So my mom and dad talk over the phone and all and she brings up where hes staying. He talks about they no longer fund for the hotel and they put him in a shelter, and it costs money to stay there as he has a job. My dad refused to stay there, as he says he'd rather stay in a hotel. But, my dad being the way he is, he DECIDES TO LIVE IN HIS CAR. And take showers at the beach. My mom broke down crying, as she cant help, as she was certified by a doctor to not work due to medical issues she cant control. Wtf am i gonna do???? I have a dog, and a sister, and my mom. HELP!!!!

I posted a similar question to this one, but this one is an update. My mother is emotionally, verbally, and physically abusive towards me. Sometimes, she rubs/touches my thigh and butt, and when I ask her not to, she'll say, "I'm your mother, I can do whatever I want to you because I love you." If I'm leaning in for her to give me a kiss, sometimes she'll lick me and she knows I don't like that. When I ask her not to do that, she'll say the same thing as above. She always wants to kiss my neck, and that makes me uncomfortable. Our AC broke, and I was in my room, wearing a long t-shirt without any underwear, and she lifted up my shirt, and that made me uncomfortable. I want to talk to someone at my church about this (because they all think she's a sweet old lady) but my mom told me that people shouldn't know what's going on in our home, and that if I tell our business, it'll come back to haunt me. I'm 20, but what if I tell? I have nowhere to go. I don't live on campus anymore, and I can't afford to live on my own. My mom was abused when she was younger, so maybe she doesn't know any better. What do I do?

my dad lost his job about 4 months ago, so now he just sits on the couch all day, drinking beer and watching tv. he makes a lot of weird noises. whenever i come home from school, i hear my dad in the living room farting and groaning. he always makes a mess when he tries to help. like a few weeks back he offered to cook dinner. he just tossed a chunk of meat into a pot filled with beer, he threw a baguette into the oven and lit it on fire, and firefighters had to come to our house. once my laptop couldnt connect to the printer, so my dad put beer bottles in the printer cartridge and smeared lipstick on my laptop keys, it took me over an hour to clean it up. he also wears denim short shorts and disgusting girly tanktops when we go out. and he's really fat. he weighs almost 300 lbs and he sits around all day drinking beer. he never bothers to exercise or go out for a walk. he's also really annoying and disgusting. he makes my sister wear a diaper and pacifier at all times, including to school. he also constantly asks my mom to breastfeed me and my siblings. oh, and last week we were washing our van. my dad smeared lipstick all over the seats and stuffed diapers in the engine. and right after my brother finished washing the windows, my dad spread peanut butter all over the windows.

we were at the gym yesterday, and my dad wore a pair of denim short shorts and a slutty white tanktop. he was drinking beer while rolling around and farting on the basketball court. several people stepped on him, kicked him, and laughed at him, while he screamed "gah gah gay gay pee pee poo poo!". then, at one point, we decided to go swimming. my siblings and i went into the bathrooms to change into our swimming clothes, while my dad took off all his clothes and dived into the swimming pool with a beer bottle. then he peed and pooped in the swimming pool while bellowing "gah gah gay gay pee pee poo poo!" on the way home, he was driving at over 100 mph, he was drinking beer while driving, he almost crashed into a huge garbage truck, and he got 3 speeding tickets. he even knocked over a porta potty and ran over a construction worker in there, who shrieked in pain. when we got home, he drove the car into the garage and knocked the other car out, then he knocked over several shelves and several cans of gasoline and paint, and he also ran over our lawn mower. so what the heck is wrong with my dad?

She is narcissistic and says cruel things to people. even insulting her autistic nephew behind his back. I am an adult so not a kid in a sibling spat. I am 32 and my sister 26.

We don't see his adult children though as a result. This uncle is mean.

Couple years ago I went to visit my family. My cousin who was like my best friend acted indifferently towards me. I even overheard her ask my other cousin to not ask me to come along with them to a store they were going. When I left to go back home she didn't say goodbye. I'm trying to figure out why she acted that way towards me and I can't find the answer.

im 15, and my mom is a little overprotective of me. she won't let me go out with friends, and she doesn't let me stay up past 9:30 during the summer. whenever we go out, she makes me hold her hand. she's paranoid about me getting lost. she still makes me sit on a booster seat in the car, and every day when i come home from school, my mom carries me on to her lap and makes me sit on her lap in front of her computer when i do my homework. i feel its really awkward and uncomfortable. she put a tracker on my phone so she knows where i am when im at school. she also tucks me into bed at night. she even sings me lullabies! and she still makes me call her mommy and when she talks to me, she's like "oh, sweetie! let mommy help you with your biology homework!" when we go out on a long trip (usually for one over an hour), she makes me wear diapers because she doesn't want to stop at a rest station to let me use the bathroom. sometimes if i'm stressed out, she comes into my room and breastfeeds me for about 20 minutes, and then puts a pacifier in my mouth. and whenever i get a small injury, such as a bruise or broken wrist, she puts on a wheelchair and pushes me around on it

All the cheap state universities in my state cost 7k per year not including housing, and they are making me go to one of those schools so I can get a job and pay my way through.

his mother never brings him to the doctors .his friends helped him get insurance. so he could go when he was sick.she even told him when he dies she will not bury him.should we bring him to a lawyer.If the mother or sister was awarded to get his check,isn't he suppose to be living with them.

We all have our problems, so does my dad and even including me, but my dad keeps on getting into my problems and I get really frustrated. Basically i have my friends sister with me due to her mom cycle of going homeless every other year they stayed with me before the mom had money but wouldn't help to buy a 1 thing of tissue on top of that the kids wouldn't clean up u would go to work and school and come home and clean up behind abled bodies fast forward they went homeless again and she called me and ask if her daughter could stay with me for the summer i told them NO (mind you i live 5 hrs from them ) so than a few days passed and they called an said she was coming for a week and i also said No not now but they claim she was already at the bus station and had her bus ticket hours after waiting for her to arrive to my home i called her mom phone to realized i was BLOCKED. I knew than something wasn't right. Fast forwards its been almost 3 months since she has been here her mother sent her 200$ but put it in her hand supposed to be for food to feed her and things she need instead she blew it on resturant food and starbucks now while i been coming out of pocket with everyting pads,food , i have 3 kids i provide for and i like to take them put i pay for her as well she never say thank you she doesnt want to clean nor babysit nothing she is 16 so i been giving her a pass because of this but i feel like her mother is using my kindness because she hasn't tried to give me any thing to assit with her and my grandmother says i am being used

My sister is autistic and most of her friends are 12-13 year old girls. She relates to them and acts more like them. However her peers don't take it lightly. They'll call my sister out for hanging out with middle schoolers. Some think she's asking for trouble because she might be falsely accused of being a bad influence on the younger girls. My sister is pretty upset about the negative feedback. I get that other kids her age may not like her, and she's just different from them. But there's no need to be cruel or mean.

My uncle is retired and he has a cabin and he wants my aunt to move in with him but my aunt refused to because she's still working and she doesn't want to live in the woods. My uncle is not a city person. He hates the crowd and he just wants to spend most of his time alone and with my aunt and he loves hunting. I guess age has to do with it because he's 70 now but my aunt is just 59 and she's not going to retire soon. She wants to work for at least 5 more years. This is one of the things that they've been arguing about. My uncle comes over to my aunt's house every two weeks or a month or it depends because he only comes over when he has a doctor's appointment. So how do they work this out? I just want to know if someone of you here are in the same boat as her.

So I'm a 16 year old girl and my mum is reallly embarrassing especially when my friends are over, when we come in she'll always ask if I've done my homework, if I haven't she'll make me do it whilst my friends are over before being able to do anything else. She also if I answer back will take me off to the spare room for "a word" where she will tell me off loud enough for them all to hear. She says I have bad behaviour but I think she just enjoys being strict?

She just told me that I would be allowed to do more then she does this! she keeps making me loose her trust but this made me loose all of it.
