So just now I was fighting with my sister because I was talking to my dad and my dad asked me about her and I showed her to him. Shes gets aggressive and i end up sitting down. And then she slaps my phone out of my hand and keeps calling me a whore to my dad, while slapping my phone out of my hand. I give her my phone and she walks away, and i retrieve it back. My dad is 87 yrs old and lives out of state. He is healthy and with a sharp mind. I used to call him more often before but lately call him one or twice a month. There has been some friction between my sibling and I. My sibling lives at home with my parents. We are both in our 40's. He does this every time I feel excited about something and I want to share it with him. Instead of sharing my excitement, his response to me brings me down. I feel that I can't be myself with him, that I have to edit myself before saying things aloud or express my self in a subdued way. He wasn't like this before. Maybe deep down he is taking sides among his children which isn't right. If my sister and I have issues, it is between us alone. A parent should not create a feeling of insecurity among his children. Out of the blue he'll praise my brother's son on how adult sounding he is and that he has an exceptional mind. My son is the same age as this boy.

I mean jaw to the ground disgusting. Dirty dishes, dog hair, soap scum, mold, mildew, dirty laundry, cant eat at dining table, cant use living room because fiance is a hoarder. Two of the times they have filed for divorce. I am the niece of my aunt so the uncle is an uncle by marriage. The have three children. Both sons turned out normal but the daughter has a whole lot of baggage. So is this a halfway common marital situation or is 7 times separated incredibly rare? This is a long story but i am going to try to make this as short as possible. I am a 40 year old woman living alone with very serious life threatening medical issues that started about 5 to 6 years ago. It's literally been in and out of hospitals, surgeries, and medications due to some serious auto-immune diseases and other issues related to the auto immune diseases. I moved away from home about 10 years ago but I have always been the one to contact my mother for birthdays, mothers day, holidays. She NEVER calls me and never communicates with me other than a fb message MAYBE once a year. I would tell her to please call, but she just said that she wasn't a phone person (even though she never communicated with me in anyway shape or form anyway). When I started getting sick, she didn't change. I would inform her of my medical issues so she knew what what was going on. I should point out that my mother is a NURSE PRACTITIONER. This means she is kind of like a medical doctor. Even though she is in the medical field and I am her oldest daughter....she still NEVER called me to see how I was doing....nothing. So, I stopped putting in all the effort about 1 year ago, I stopped calling or communicating completely. She finally got the message something was wrong, and decided to call me on my birthday (which she hadn't done in years). She asks me why i stopped communicating with her, and I tell her why. She get's defensive, blaming me for everything. What should i do?

My mom and dad had a nasty divorce 10 years ago, and my mom got 50k, and the house from him. It's a large house. My dad added a deck with an onning, and he also added a car port. He put a lot of work into it. Anyway, my mom just had to have the house, so she fought him for it and won. Well, she doesnt upkeep it at all. There is moss all over the roof, the yard is overgrown, and the siding is rotting away, than she gets depressed, and drinks, and says that the house is too big to handle. I want to tell her that she fought for the house, and made a big deal about it, but doesnt want to put in the work to maintain it. I just think what she did is disgusting. My mom doesn't allow a friendship in 2 cases: if there's a big age difference (being too little or too old), or if I only know the person through social media but not real life. So she literally just walked into my room with a swimsuit, which is pretty much the same as just bra and underwear. I was like "What are you doing?!?" She was like,"I think I left my phone charger in your room." Then she bends over right in front of me to look for it, and walks around to check all the wall plugs, then she's like "I guess it wasn't in here after all." During this whole situation I got a huge b0ner and couldn't even talk straight. I forgot she was my little sister for a little bit. Then I snapped back to reality and remembered she's my sister, then felt super gross about myself. What's wrong with me? SMH! I can never look at my sister the same. She's really grown a lot. I've been with my partner for three and a half years now, we're a gay couple. His mom has vascular dementia and I've known her since the first day and bonded with her a lot as I took care of her especially when his dad was with terminal cancer. Because of her condition, she needs assistance to bathe and he does this by going in the shower with her and scrubbing her from top to bottom and I didn't find this weird at all because after all she can't even mover her arms past her chin. Now, he recently did this thing that totally freaked me out, we even had a fight over this. He decided washing his underwear every time he finished with her in the shower was too much of a hassle, which in my opinion it isn't. So he went ahead and started showering her naked, no underwear. I found this completely outrageous and it made me extremely uncomfortable especially because I have to aid him to get her in the shower and I witness a lot of touching between his parts and various parts of her body. I don't fuzz over it anymore, but I still don't like it and try not to look at when all of this is happening, as a matter of fact, I try to get out of the bathroom as soon as possible. He tells me she's his mother and she has dementia, that there's nothing wrong with it, but she's aware enough to know when someone is naked. So what do you guys think about this? Is this normal? PS: He doesn't like taking showers with me. Did it once and then never again IN THREE AND A HALF YEARS! Thank you.

My mother in law has said on a number of occasions over the past couple months that she is not talking to her sisters. She left her ipad with my wife today and a message came in from one of the sisters. My wife scrolled up on the chat history and as it turns out they ve been talking all along quite amicably. We fail to understand why she would make these statements if they are clearly untrue.

Gonna try to keep it short. When my dad very unexpectedly died when i was 17 my life changed forever. He died as i was in the waiting room to see him so the last time i saw him was his lifeless body on the bed and my family crying surrounding him when they showed up. I still think about it today, i was in so much shock i barely cried. Fast forward a few months after my 18th birthday me being stupid with my cousin, i have a bad acid trip to make a long story short, felony arrest but disorderly conduct and another summery offense conviction. Met the girl of my dreams shortly after and we have an amazing relationship until her parents no longer care for me, to this day it's a mystery. Started off loving me but then hated me. They wedged themselves between us until we resented eachother. Ended really badly. Plunge into depression. During this time my family plans to move across the country to a new state where extended family lives during my final year of highschool. Me being depressed but not talking about it, middle child and with my family up and moving i never graduate highschool. Tried to live on my own, lasted about a year eventually came back with my mom. So here i am. No father, 20 years old, criminal record and no highschool diploma, severely depressed and no idea what the **** to do. I just wish i had some guidance or a male presence in my life. My dad left several rentals including his house. anyhow, my brother got power of attorney and transferred all of dads annuities, bank accounts and properties into his name own name. Since my dads death, my brother has said, "there is no will and everything is in my name now". its been over two month since my dads passing...no will filed in Probate and the Banks are trying to talk my brother into selling the houses and investing with them.
