His ex girlfriend is about to give birth to his first child in a matter of days. She got pregnant when they were still together, he broke up with her a couple of months before we started talking. He told me she told him she was pregnant around the time when we started talking. He only told me about 6 weeks ago because he said he didn't think he'd get a chance with me if he told me right away and he really wanted a chance with me. He's told me things are completely over with his ex, that they didn't get along after a while and the breakup was mutual, that he is committed to me, only wants to be with me and wants a future with me. The baby will be staying with it's mum, he said he will only try to get custody if the mother stops him from seeing his daughter which could happen. I don't have very much relationship experience let alone experience with something like this. We have talked about it, but not a lot. I know this situation might be difficult at times. I have a lot of trust in him though. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice about how I should deal with the situation, support him with becoming a dad, or anything that I should ask him? |

I am 1/16 black and he's white however in Alabama they have the "one drop rule". One drop of black blood and your considered black. I love him so much but I have never in my Life experienced so much backlash. I mean from the looks we get, to his friends being extremely rude.
