Question: What are the odds my daughter will see her old classmates again? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 04:32 PM PST We recently left this town in Northern California to move to Canada for my husbands new job. We won't be coming back to California again. But we are wondering how likely my daughter will come in contact with her old classmates. They are all Americans and live in California. |
Question: How to ask her to be my friend? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 04:08 PM PST I know it sounds petty but there's this girl who's super introverted but we've finally started talking in the changing room whenever we finish p.e (never during it though) how can I just simply ask her if she wants to be friends or hang out because although I get nice pleasure out of our random chats it'd be nice to be her friend full time. Although I do fear she'll say no |
Question: Did anyone else sit alone at lunch during High school? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 03:59 PM PST I'm in college now, but I did; did any of you do so? |
Question: I’m confused with my friend? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 02:51 PM PST so i'm friends with this girl from 7th grade i am currently in high school and i have a lot to say so please stay with me i get happy when i talk to her and stuff we never hung out outside of school but we had this bond in 7th grade and i'm in freshman year and she is in my class. she will look at me from across the room and we joke from across the room about an inside joke all the way from 7th grade and i send her snaps every once in a while but she never opens them until 2 weeks later but she will not open my snap and send streaks to me though even when she doesn't open them but i'm thinking it's because i send her something so i'm back at the top of the chart for her to accidentally send it to me. i'm just confused because most of the conversations we have is starting when i talk to her and i'm just confused are we friends or not because she will be my friend one day and then not talk to me at all another. i only have health class with her and im scared when the marking period ends and when we have gym we will never talk again but i feel like we could be best friends if we just talked more i don't know how to get it to the bond since 7th grade should i leave her or try to keep fighting she's the person that made me feel "special" and just left me in the dust and is coming back. what do i do i'm a teen i'm not sure if i'm over analyzing everything someone just help me please |
Question: Is it true that India is a horrible country? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 12:32 PM PST That's what my friend said. But she never been to India. I always wanted to go there. Is she right? |
Question: Could this married woman like me? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 11:14 AM PST So I have been texting and video chatting with this woman I met on Facebook over a year ago. We live in different states and she's married. She's been unhappy in her marriage for some time. I've given her a lot of advice but nothing seems to be working. She said her husband is selfish and neglects her. I mentioned marriage counseling to her but he didn't seem interested based on what she told me. She had mentioned marriage counseling to her husband and it didn't go over well. So a couple nights ago we were texting and she told me that I'm a very sweet guy and that I'm easy to talk to. She asked me about masturbation too and we talk about sex sometimes. I told her that she's gorgeous and that she has a lot going for her. She's a hardworking mother who takes good care of her family and she's smart. Her and I are very open, we talk about pretty much anything. She said that if I get my life together, we could be together in the future; this was after I asked her if she saw something between us. She's been really good to me in the past. She has given me a lot of life advice too in regards to being happier and more independent. I went to college, got good grades and graduated; I'm just a shy homebody. I'm 28 and she's 24 so we're close in age. |
Question: Gift for two female coworkers (in their late 20s and roughly $10 to $20 each)? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 11:11 AM PST So this is my last week of work before I move out of state, two of my female coworkers (in their late 20s) are throwing me a little potlock and making me homemade food. What is something cheap and platonic between 10 to 20 dollars a piece that I can get them to say thanks. I was originally going to get a nice meal for everyone but told then unexpected things came up and could no longer do so, they decided to make me something instead. I have a hard time letting others do something nice for me and was insistant on helping out but started thinking that was rude of me so instead I will get them a little gift but unsure what I should get because I don't really buy gifts for people outside of my friends and family. Sorry that was a long story; I have anxiety and overthink things. |
Question: How should I cope with homesickness and loneliness? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 10:44 AM PST I am a freshman in college at a school 1300 miles from my home town. The first couple weeks I was here were hard, but I think that s how it is for everybody. I slowly adjusted and made some friends over the first month. I have some kids from my high school that go here so I was able to meet people in there dorms that I liked. I never really clicked with the people in my dorms though; they are all "hardcore" partiers and seem like fake friends. I was still homesick (I would cry once every week or two), but I pushed it to the back of my mind because I thought all people felt that way. Then thanksgiving break came. Break itself was awesome, coming back to school was not so awesome. Almost immediately after returning to school I was miserable. I was hanging out with my friends that I made here but I felt sad and lonely even when I was with them. I got back from break about 2 weeks ago and my feelings haven t changed since returning. I cry at least 3 times a day, but I can t pin any one reason on why I m so sad. I ve been talking to my mom about it, and have even seen a therapist. I also have talked to my RA about a roommate switch because my roommate situation is less than ideal. I know that I need to prioritize my. I would just like some advice on how to cope with this perpetual sadness until winter break (2 weeks away), then maybe a couple ideas on how to be more positive after break. Should I consider transferring, or taking a leave of absence? Please help. |
Question: I feel like my friends are leaving me behind? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 10:01 AM PST I'm 25 years old, a graduate student, living in a small apartment with my boyfriend. I have 4 close friends who are all married and 3 of them already have kids. They have their jobs and own homes. I feel like we no longer "connect" like we used to. We'll have a conversation about life and sometimes I feel left out. They'll talk about getting home from work cooking meals for the family and all that. While I "cook" instant noodles and sandwiches since that's all I can afford at times. When I talk about college or struggling with my boyfriend's med school thing. I feel like they can't relate and just decide to ignore me and talk about their families instead. It's just a weird feeling that I don't like. Do you think I'm overreacting? |
Question: My mom won't let me take the train home or ask her friends to drive me anywhere!? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 08:49 AM PST I'm 20 years old with Autism. Because I have Autism, I still can't drive. I'm currently visiting my friend who lives an hour away from me and staying at her house. I was supposed to go back home today. My mom was going to come and pick me up today, but she called me this morning saying that she won't be able to come and get me until tomorrow and that i'll need to stay at my friend's house an extra night because something came up today. I was expecting to go home today, but my mom just had to CHANGE everything, and I hate change! I like when things go as planned! I have a lot of my own money and could easily get on a train home, and I can pay for my own train ticket and everything, but my mom told me that I can't do that! All I need is a ride to the train station! My mom has a really good friend who lives in the same town my friend does, but she won't ask her friend to give me a quick ride to the local train station because it would be "rude". First off, HOW is it "rude" to ask a friend to do you a simple favor like drive your child with special needs somewhere? My mom thinks that hanging out is the ONLY part of friendship. That's not true! Friendship also means being there for each other and doing each other favors, NOT just hanging out with each other! I've told my mom that her friend isn't a true friend if they consider it "rude" to ask for a favor, but my mom told me that I was just being silly! My friend also has special needs and can't drive, so I can't ask HER to drive me to the train station, and her parents work until late at night, so they can't drive me either. She doesn't have any siblings either. Please help me! I want to go home! I miss my parents, my dog and just home in general! I also miss my bed(I have had to sleep on a couch the entire time I was here)! I am so upset! My mom will ONLY ask her IMMEDIATE family to do her favors, NOBODY else! She won't even ask her EXTENDED family, like her cousins, for favors! |

Question: What is this GIFT my friend gave me? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 05:41 AM PST It's a customized metal sheet that magnets to a clear glass thing, both are about the size of a sheet of paper. The magnet piece has a personal picture on it, the glass is atleast an inch thick and you see the picture through it when they're together. What is it, what is it for? |

Question: How to avoid people on your birthday? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 05:39 AM PST My birthday is in a few days and I am upset with everyone. I don't want to see anyone I don't want gifts or to fake that I'm happy to see them. Should I just turn off my phone and lock the doors? I shouldn't have to explain to people that I want to be alone on my birthday. I know they will be offended if I tell them. People usually come over without asking. (They've done nothing wrong. I'm just depressed with life and people in general and want my space.) |
Question: Why would a man tell a woman she doesn't need to be on birth control? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 05:24 AM PST I asked this guy if he wanted to be friends with benefits. He said yes but I told him that I need to be on birth control before we have sex. He keeps saying I don't need it. And that he'll use condoms. I haven't met a guy who has ever told me this. It doesn't make sense to me. It's fine if he wants to use a condom but condoms break. I think I should be on birth control for extra safety. |
Question: I need help with this please? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 05:18 AM PST Does pushing someone away mean having them always call or text you first and you not putting in any effort to do that anymore? |

Question: What should a guy do for a girl when she's sad ? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 12:36 AM PST Me and my friend were watching a movie she started to cry for no reason. The movie was kind of sad. How can I help her feel better ? |
Question: I am obsessed with everyone’s else’s business. Why? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 12:25 AM PST To my best friend I always ask really personal questions. Is that ok? I also ask somewhat personal questions to many other people. Is that ok? I have a desire to know my friends personal lives instead of just being able to go out and enjoy time with them. It's annoying to myself but hard to not be nosey. Is this normal or what can I do? |
Question: Is he embarrassed? Why is he ignoring me? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 12:20 AM PST A guy friend of mine and me tried to have sex the other day but he was struggling to get it in because how painful it was for me. I wasn't really wet, so that could be it. It's not my first time but when you haven't had sex in a while, this is what happens. We stopped because he released in the condom and didn't have another one. So we ended up sleeping after. I woke up before he did to charge my phone and he woke up a few minutes later and just stares at me. We work together too, so he kind of made it awkward by not saying anything and being weird. I tried to forget what happened and casually said hi, he says hi back but doesn't further the conversation. Although he doesn't say much, I do catch him stealing glances at me. Which is weird as heck. Is this because I sucked in bed (since I couldn't get wet) and he's disappointed? |
Question: I found out that my best friend smokes weed once a week and it really bothers me. Why? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 12:14 AM PST I've never tried it but he told me he smokes it alone about once a week just to 'relax'. Why do you need to smoke weed to relax? Is this normal or should I find a way to help my friend? |
Question: How can I help my friend ? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 11:25 PM PST My friend and his partner are trying to have a baby but it's not working for them. He recently came out as a transgender female he thought since he now had female parts he could have one they tried through a surrogate mother but she had a miscarriage. He's really upset about it he said that they probably weren't meant to have kids since nothing is working for them. How can I help him feel better ? |
Question: Should I quit some clubs so I can have more times for my friends? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 11:18 PM PST I'm involved with 20 things in college and I do things for my friends but it's hard for me to bond with them because I'm so busy. |

Question: My friend keeps duct taping my mouth? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 10:03 PM PST When were chilling he sneaks up on me and places tape on my mouth and he goes gotcha but its getting annoying and he keeps doing it and sniffing my hair. Like wtf. What is this about??? |
Question: How to punish my roomate his hair stinks the room up? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 10:01 PM PST He stinks. He stinks so bad. Im a junior and ive never dealt with something this bad. I think im going to punish him by making him sniff his pillow for 30 seconds a day. He apologized and said he thought he fixed it by changing shampoos but ik he didnt. This lazy stinker. He has short hair and it stinks. |
Question: Is it rude to constantly ask for rides? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 10:00 PM PST I'm 15 and currently in high school. I ask for a ride home from my friend once or twice a week. I live on the way to her house so its not like she's going out of her way to take me home (it might add 20 seconds while I'm getting out of the car.) There's no bus to my house because I live within a mile of the school but it's still a 20 minute, uphill walk with no sidewalk. I feel bad when I ask for rides but it's been below freezing lately. I'm not old enough to drive myself or use uber. How would you react if a friend in a situation similar to mine constantly asked you for rides home? |
Question: Outgrowing high school friends. How did you transition? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 09:42 PM PST I feel bad because I've outgrown long term high school friends. They kind of just got knocked up and settled. The thing with that is I've had to be the only one who visits them, even when I didn't drive I always took buses, trains, taxis. I've moved away and didn't hear from them but I was also very busy and distracted with new curiosity for a new place to live. I moved back and they all drive, and their kids are a bit older. I've been the only one to try to arrange plans by giving ideas what to do, especially involving their kids. I don't expect it to be just the 2 of us anymore. Am I being too irrational to think it's unfair they don't arrange plans with me just because theyhave kids. Is it safe to say we're just not on the same page anymore? and it's okay to part ways if distance has changed us. I love them a lot but I need to surround myself with people hungry for life. It saddens me they won't agree to do simple kid friendly stuff like baking, going out to lunch, or one time so suggested a pot luck. Do people become parents and only like other parents? ☹️ |
Question: Should I go on a school field trip if I have no friends? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 09:08 PM PST My class is going on a field trip this Friday and I really wanted to go, but I just found out none of my friends are going. Last field trip we had I went alone and ended up hanging out with a teacher. Which is embarrassing as hell. No offense to my teacher of course- but you know. I think I might've cried, I can't remember but I do know I felt like crying the entire day. Long story short- it sucked. Thing is, this field trip is like super in my element- and I was really looking forward to it! But I don't want to be alone all day. Also, my school is super tiny, so I have like 20 students in my entire grade- and I am friends with like 1 of them. And she isn't going. So what should I do? |
Question: What do I say to my grieving friend? Should I give her this present? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 08:55 PM PST Please help, I am really big confusion. My best friend lost her dad 4 years ago and it is getting very close to the anniversary. I have always looked out for her and always have told her that she can talk to me about anything, it's just hard on this topic bc I don't want to push any buttons. I don't want to make her worse. But I had this idea to give her this yellow box with yellow things inside and it would say "this box won't take the pain away but just to show that there is sunshine in every day" and leave it at her house. But I just don't know if that is right to do. I have heard it would just be emphasizing his death and making it worse for her but I want to show comfort and care. Please help. Do I stick with the idea? And help me with talking to her |
Posted: 05 Dec 2018 08:52 PM PST I've never had any friends. Never gone to any parties, never celebrated a single birthday, never been to a club, restaurant, etc with anyone. I know it sounds incredible but thats how it is. You can imagine the pain and sadness i feel. I have money, I would pay people to be friend but I've never known how to do it. As you can see my life is ruined. I feel I should just kill myself, but I'm afraid. What can I do? |
Question: Why does she linger around me sometimes? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 07:02 PM PST There's this girl whom I see sometimes. Recently, I have seen her a lot around my campus, and she seems to follow me, but I'm unsure I was walking towards a vending machine and she came out of nowhere and followed me. Then when I got to the machine, I noticed there was no one around but her she then sat at a bench behind me and lingered for a couple of seconds? Do girls follow guys they like, and do they linger for a while around that guy especially when the two are by themselves? |
