| Posted: 05 Oct 2015 07:12 PM PDT I caught up with an old friend; he's a wonderful guy; he is highly intelligent, positive, upbeat; really nerdy and top of that pretty wealthy (didn't know that until now); He said he was warned it would be hard/nearly impossible to hold a relationship with his job... but he has talked to me about his wish to get married someday, and that he wants to settle down with someone, and just be in one place after the 4 years are up and he can stay in one location. He always tells me how pretty I am, texts me all of the time, calls, and always wants to video chat. He said he'd love for me to go visit him; and he'll pay for all of my expenses; my flight, my stay, anything I want... he said I could stay at his place but I don't have to sleep at his place if I don't want to, he'll pay for a hotel for me to stay if that makes me feel more comfortable... this guy is really just wonderful. Very tempting for me to want to WANT TO stay in the same place he is, after all he lives so far and I'll only be able to see him in person when he has days off. But this man; he's the type of man I'd love to marry. I don't know if sleeping at his place will make him think less of me; obviously he'll love it. But I wonder how much respect he'd have for me and if I would be discarded as wife material. He hasn't asked me to be his gf; but it seems like were dating. How do I proceed? Tips? Suggestions? Anyways, I needed a second, third, etc opinion about a guy liking me or not. So, there is this guy that I've know since 7th grade(I'm in 8th now) and we have been ok friends. During my 8th grade year, which is this year, he was getting me all pissed because he was saying stuff like are you going out with him(me closest guy friend) you guys are always hanging out. It would be other stuff too just to piss me off. When I got to that point to where I wanted him to shut up, I got my banana and accident poked him in the eye with the end of it but my intention was to pretend to hit him in the face with itππ Then after that, we didn't talk for a while. But today, he started talking to me like normal pretending nothing ever happened. He was asking me questions like what type of music do you like, or what do you like. Stuff like that and at P.E, he helped me do a pull up by putting my feet on his shoulders lol. His close friend was also teasing me and him about us going out and stuff. And after school, he asked if I wanted to walk him to get his bike and I was like," sure." I want to get him stuff for his room to remind him if me and also just stuff he likes. So far I've thought of framed pictures of us and I saw a DIY on pinterest to make Star Wars pillow cases. He likes video games, star wars, south park, and wrestling/UFC. Any ideas? |
| Question: Breakup Advice Needed? Posted: 05 Oct 2015 06:52 PM PDT I was in a relationship with a guy who I truly believed was "the one." We took the step of living together, and it was great.We adopted a dog together. We rarely fought, and we were both incredibly happy. He is 24 and I am 22. We spent a weekend apart, and as soon as I left he told me that he couldn't wait to get back to our home together and to be with his family. He told me how much he loved me and missed me. Then all the sudden he said he was unhappy and didn't see a future with me. We ended up breaking up, (he with me) and I moved out. It's the worst pain I've felt yet, and I'm so confused as to how his feelings could change so suddenly. |

When we got there a guy( he was friends with my 2 I went with friends)said 'hey' to them and I guess me bc he was only staring at me. When a couple's song came on he asked me to dance. When we were dancing he ask me some stuff about me like how close was I too my friend, what was my name, what I was majoring in, how old I was, ect. But I notice the more we talk and the longer we danced he was slowly was holding me tighter and he was also slowly moved down my back like right above my butt. What does that mean? And when the song was ending he asked how old I was and I said 19 and he step back and looked at my face and said'really? No are you really' I was shocked that he did that in the middle of the song and dance floor and I said'Yeah' confused. And then he asked me 'how old do I look?' I said'I don't know' and said' guess just give me a guess' and I said the samething and he said' I'm 21' but he said it really sad or disappoint. What does that mean? And does he like me or something? When I was leaving the party, he shook my hand and then went in for the hug but the hug seemed longer than a normal hug. And the next day my friend told me that he told her that why did I leave. And then he told her that wanted her to 'hook it up' as in he wanted to hang out with me or something but want her to make it happen. |

| Question: I Like a Girl and she's a Year Older? Posted: 05 Oct 2015 06:50 PM PDT I'm a Freshman in High School and I'm in Front Ensemble of the marching band. There's this sophomore girl that plays marimba and she's so cute and I like her so much. But I don't know if it would be weird if I asked her out since she's older. She's also super shy and I see her talking in a group and I go over there and she seems to talk a lot less when I get there. Can I get some advice? Thoughts on asking her out? |

This means that we can choose to be happy regardless of our life's circumstances. I find this hard to believe. I mean, yes we can look at the good in everything, but sometimes the bad is just too overpowering. For example, I'm unhappy because I have no close relationships with anyone. I have no friends. I believe this unhappiness comes from this circumstance, not because I'm choosing to be unhappy. As humans, I think we need close relationships to be happy. I'm not sure that I can just choose to be happy. |
