My closest friend, however is very strong-willed and will not let anyone change her mind or argue with her, or she'll get mad at that. Lately, she has been hanging at with the "druggie" kids in the back of the school parking lot and drags me along with her. They all expect me to act like them, but, as I said before I am very image-conscious and am someone that strives for good grades and such in school. I feel like my friend is getting dragged down, but she won't let me try and help her. I really want to keep her as a friend because she's really an awesome person, but I don't want to hang out with the people she has been. I get a feeling they don't like me or want me to hang out with them either. What should I do? Please, I need help. |

We spent almost every day together working attending the same University. Once his GF broke up with him, I told him how I felt but he was already talking to another girl and didn't feel the same. He wanted to stay friends but I told him I needed time away. We didn't talk for weeks but then he had some challenging stuff come up. He didn't have access to technology so I sent him letters because despite how awkward I felt, I wanted him to feel supported. We went about a month of exchanging friendly letters. I was put in a similar scenario and we wrote to each other then. After I had technology again, we were texting. He had moved on to a new girl but was tentative about talking to me about it because he didn't know how I would feel about it. I realized that I had ruined everything. Our friendship would never be the same. I cut contact completely - unfriended him, stopped answering his texts, etc. I felt terrible because it was like I was punishing him but I just couldn't stand the idea that we would never be the same. I wrecked it. It's been over 2 months since we've talked other than some business hum-drum. And I want nothing more than to have my friend back now, awkwardness and all, but I don't know how to start that conversation or if I have the right to come back into his life. Eventually it was too late my friend left because she bought him a ticket to Washington state. She promised to tell his mom when he arrived but she never did. She deleted all his social media accounts, she disabled her cellphone so it says "you have reached a non-working number", and my friends cellphone has been "off" or God forbid something worse. We all used to be best buds, our entire +150 person class, during 8th grade. Now that most of us are freshman, everyone changed. There are friend circles, no more big group, and I feel like I'm the only one who didn't change. And in the group of friends that I'm closest to, they start to shun me for hanging out with other groups. The real problem is that my close group is starting to ignore me. We'll stand in a circle, talk a little, and somehow I always end up outside the circle, and no one talks to me. They ditch me for each other, play pranks on me cause I'm too nice to do anything back, and make everything awkward when I try to talk. But about a quarter of the time they treat me decently. All I wanted was to spread my time evenly between all my friends. It doesn't help that I have no classes with my best friend, who is the leader of the close group, and mostly does the picking and joking. Are these people really my friends? |

Posted: 05 Oct 2015 01:30 PM PDT I saw my friend hanging out with other people when she always told me that she was busy because of the SAT. She was busy with SATs and I believe it but seeing as I've been asking lets hang out, she would have atleast made a hangout day together when she was done. I wouldn't have minded if she did since school, she sees those guys more often. She doesn't know what she did wrong. Should I explain to her what she did wrong or in your opinion, you don't see where I'm getting at either? Thanks! Automatic 5 stars for whomever's answer I feel a bit satsified with. I asked her to hang out with me several time before. In my opinion, I think that when someone asks you to hang out, you should atleast set a hang out day. I mean, I understand she would hang out with other people but she didn't even bother to say hey lets hang out. I'm always the one asking to hang out and that's like once a week since we don't see each other at all after I moved to college. |

| Question: Why are men so mean where I live? Posted: 05 Oct 2015 01:20 PM PDT Like I may crack a joke one day they are laughing the next day they get in my face and ball me out. They seem to try to bully me for inexplicit reasons. They call me girly guy gay and male beotch.They are around me for a while and then abruptly start trying to get stuff started or bully me. Some people let cat out of the bag and said they do this because I am indifferent than them. I started to hang solely with females and that is it. I got a female oriented job and don't have any problems. One random guy started to bully me yhat worked there and I talked back to him and he ran me into a corner and tried to fight me. I was crying and shivering. I got in touch with the managers who were male there and they retailited rumouring around that I wasn't a man. Why are guys like this where I live? They don't reason with. People keeps telling me it is because they see that I am indifferent than them. They are all white, they look like normal people. |

It is because of it takes me time. Last time i hd friends were 6 years ago. I met two brothers. I became best friend with one of them. We had good times. They spent almost every weekend in my place. Suddenly i got insomnia ( sleeping disorder). It was just because of family problems. I left my family as a child soldier. I saw many horrible things on my way to Norway. Anyways after i got insomnia, my friends abondoned me. They dont even answer my fb. After all i did to them. Once one of them came to me on summer because of his mother told him to pay for rent. He had nothing. I gave him everything he needed. But now after the got their job he is acting i dont even exist. I am feeling lonely. I learned my lesson. The question is that i am to bad to find a good friend. It Is not easy to find a friend. What can i do? |

Like, she puts on pure green eye contacts even though her eyes are blue and has dyed her hair blonde even though he natural is black. I'm getting so extremely furstrated with her! I've known her literally since we were 6 and it upsets me so much that she's trying to turn into someone she's not just because she wants to fit in with the popular crowd. Like, who cares?! All this time I've been trying to keep my mouth shut out of respect, but now she's telling me she wants to have a plastic surgery for her breasts to get bigger as well as her lips. And she's 18 years old. These people usually don't end up in a good place, and I'm getting really worried. What should I do? Tell her parents? |

I wanted to test her to see if she's really my friend or if she just wants to use me for money. So I texted her and said "I have a bad reception. Call work and tell them I'll be late" she refused by saying "I don't understand why I have to call them" So should I stop talking to her since she's obviously unreliable? Why do I want to hang out with her if I can't count on her? |
| Posted: 05 Oct 2015 12:58 PM PDT I went to some country to spend vacation, and before going back, I thought of buying a certain kind of sweets (which are pretty well-known in that country) to give to my younger cousins. I actually went out of my way just to get those sweets because I knew my cousins would love those. When I got back home, I actually went out of my way again just to pass by my cousins' place to hand over the gift. They were indeed really happy about it, but when their parents saw the sweets they said that they appreciate it but then they returned them back to me. At first, I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't. I asked why, and they answered that the kids have been having too much sugar lately. I guess I really just tried to understand that, and moved on. But deep inside, I was really affected. I mean, they could've just given the sweets to someone else instead of returning it to me and making me feel like I wasted all the effort. It makes me feel like I don't want to give them stuff anymore, but I don't want to be like that, just because of what happened. So would you get offended if you were in the same position? Is what I'm feeling justifiable? I'm not planning to do anything about it. I'm just curious what others would feel. Also, at least this served as a lesson to not buy sweets for them next time... even if it's imported. |

Posted: 05 Oct 2015 12:54 PM PDT So, I've been best friends with this girl for about a year now and in the last month or so I've started to dislike her. We're roomates so I'm always with her. I'm afraid we've started to morph into the same person, we are both equally smart, we look alike, talk alike, like the same boys, even our families are exactly alike. However I often feel that she's like a better version of me, she's slightly fitter, nicer , brainier, more popular, skinnier, get slightly more boys. She knows this and I know she thinks I'm fat when I'm average and she's stick thin. It's like its a competition between us and shes always winning. But what I hate about is she's the kind of girl who drops her friends just like that for a boy. At the moment she's dating my friend who is already in a relationship. I tried to tell her not to push my friend into cheating but she doesnt care even though she looks desperate and people are saying shes disgusting behind her back. I am so upset by this we're not talking and she's mad at me because she thinks I'm jealous Basically I've had enough of her and her drama. And I was to stop being her best friend and more of a casual friend without there being a confrontation or fight. This is difficult to do because we live together, if anyone has any ideas please let me know xx |

Not only that, but she treated my best guy friend like crap when they were dating and even after. Lots of people don't like this *****. I am the kind of person who could get a certain vibe from new people and it ends up being true, and doesn't dislike someone without reason. So I have a friend going into high the next year and became friends with her and is still friends with my ex best friend. One day when the three of them were hanging out the ***** messages me on Instagram desperately asking why I don't like her and acting all innocent sayin that she never did anything to me. I didn't give her an exact reason because it really bugged her. She stopped messaging me and a week later my best friend messaged me to patch things up between us and we did. My younger friend sat with me and the ***** and a couple other people at lunch and the ***** said something really rude to me but I said nothing except gave her a look of death because if I said something I would've lost it. My friend didn't stick up for me and no one said anything. When me and her were alone I told her that it was rude and she didn't think it was which I think is ****** up cause friend are supposed to stick up for each other. We don't sit with the ***** anymore, but I think she is mad that I am friends with my younger friend and ex best friend again. Help with revenge! |

I've noticed that I tend to be happier when we're fighting over something. Also, I met a guy recently and wanted to spend some time with him. They basically told me "Sisters or the Mister" as in I couldn't be friends with them and him. Then they sent me a hate note that landed them in In School Suspension. I've been hanging with him since we were about 17. We are 21 now and I'm starting to think he might be slow or something. I mean he's real book smart but he's real dumb at real world things. He acts really arrogant but if you retaliate he acts like you are bullying him or something. I know for a fact he's real insecure because he used to be bullied a lot , plus he's even told me he's insecure a few times when he was drunk but it what really bothers me is how dumb he acts. For example one time we were at the bar and we all have a system where someone buys a pitcher and when it's done someone else buys the next round and so on. Well when it was peters turn he rolled his eyes and said that we owe him. Then the next day he texted all of us and said we all owe him money for the pitcher. Wtf? He had no problem slamming down beers other people bought. Last night we went to his buddy's house and we were talking about this girl we met at a party. Peter said that I was really socially awkward around her and lecturing me on how I shouldn't be so nervous around females. I honestly wanted to hit him because what really happened was the complete opposite. I was the only one talking with her. Peter was the one acting weird. He wouldn't look at her when he talked, he was stuttering, and Was all red and shaky. I feel like a dick but I honestly feel like I wanna hit him sometimes. There has been other incidents where he busts on people in a joking way but if you do it to him he gets all mad or almost starts crying. Like one time he busted this dudes balls about a receding hairline so the other dude made a short joke about pete. (Pete is short) and pete screamed F U and ran out the front door like a kid. |

| Question: Why does no one seem interested in being my friend? Posted: 05 Oct 2015 12:03 PM PDT I just started college about a week ago and I feel like everyone has a best friend or a group of friends except me. I've hung out with people here and there but it seems like I always have to take the first initiative. For example, if I text them to do something and they'll say yes but they never text me back after or ask me to do anything. People have told me to let friendships happen naturally and just live my life and let it happen. But it doesn't seem like it's working. It's just I've never had a best friend before and it'd be nice to have one at my school which has more than 60,000 students. |

| Question: Can someone tell me what you think is going on and should I tell my friends? Posted: 05 Oct 2015 11:54 AM PDT So my next door neighbor Watches kids for a couple of my pretty good friends a few days a week. So About 3 weeks ago as I was getting ready to leave I noticed that there was what appeared to be a social worker on the front porch talking to her 3 kids individually and taking notes on a clip board and then she went in the house for about an hour then left. Everyday since that day there has been 2 women who come at the same time everyday in seperate cars with carry bags that appear to have a bunch of papers hanging out. They go in for about 30 mins and then my neighbor, her children and the 2 women all leave together then come back for about an hour and then they finally leave. This has been everyday for about 3 weeks. Can someone tell me what you think is going on and should I tell my 2 friends. She usually watches thier kids on the weekends so they would have no way of knowing this has been happening? |
