I had a difficult time growing up. I lived with my dad, and we didn't have much. When I was 7, my uncle was homeless so we let him move in with us. That was when he started touching me. Almost right after that. I'd be sleeping and he'd come in at some time around 1. I'd cry, but quietly. It went on for a month maybe. Not that long. There was one night, where my uncle was in my room, and the door was a little bit open. I don't know if my dad saw anything but his footsteps were nearby. He was in a weird mood the next day, my dad. He kept taking me out to eat, and when we finally got home, he insisted that I slept in his room with him. The next day, my dad told me he was going to take me to Disney. I was really excited. We lived in Florida, it was nearby. He insisted that my uncle stayed home. My dad was a huge smoker, so was my uncle. When we left my uncle was on the couch asleep. After our day at Disney land, we found out that the house had completely burned down, my uncle with it. My dad asked me if I wanted to go to the funeral. I said no, so we didn't go. Did he... Do this? I mean, what does it look like?

When I was a kid my mother always told us that our Dad who she divorced didn't want a relationship with us. I took this very-very personal. Now I am like obsessive I will lose other family members as an adult due to their feuds with my mother who is a very critical person. I broke free of my mother's insults when I started high school and got close to my Dad. I am now in my late 20's and my mother and her sister are fighting. Admittedly I've gained a lot of weight and I've gotten fat. I'm a 17 year old girl and within the past year I went from 120pounds to 162 pounds. And I'm only 5'3 so I wasn't too skinny before. Now I have a jiggly fat belly that makes all my shirts tight. So today I went to a family cookout and my aunt who I hadn't seen in 2 years was there. She flew in from California a few days ago. But when she saw me, (I was wearing a tight thin dress that wasn't flattering at all) she looked at me and said "why!?. You're so young!" And went up and grabbed my belly fat. Feeling her hands sink into my belly flesh with no resistance she knew that I was just fat. Not pregnant. She looked shocked at first, but she didn't take her hands off my belly fat. In fact she jiggled my belly and made fun of me for the fact that she is in better shape than me, despite the fact that she is 62. Now I have to admit that I used to tease her before she moved to California 2 years ago about how she had saggy skin and that she look so old. But does that mean I had it coming? I mean feeling her hands sink into my belly fat made me feel pretty powerless and small. But I'm sure it didn't make her feel too good when I was making fun of her appearance. So, I ve had a secret relationship for over 5 months now and just this week my parents caught me with my significant other. Of course, parents being extremely over protective gave me a long lecture and forced me to break up. Being the obedient daughter I have been taught all my life, I did as they said. Currently we are friends and he apologized to my father saying that we will remain as friends until we both have finished our education and my mother is aware that we are only friends. However, I told my mother I had to work on a group project at the library today and she let me go. I even told her before that my ex was part of my group so I have to work with him also. I'm 14, and he's 7. He acts and looks like he's 4. This kid literally acts as if he is special Ed. (No offense) I sometimes just wish this ****** would leave and not come back. And it's not even like "oh I can relate to that my brother gets me in trouble" No this dumbass ******* takes pictures of my other sister (9 years old) in te bathroom and slaps her butt and takes his tiny privacy out in front of her. And he pissed on the ground twice ON PURPOSE.Once while my sister was using the bathroom and another time (recently) in the garage floor. My ******* dumbass parents don't even listein to me, my mom actually gets mad at ME for telling her. My dads coming home later and I'm going to tell him too, he's probally gonna give him a talk again and then my brothers gonna do some dumb **** again. OH WAIT and that's not all, he once grabbed a knife was getting close to my sister to pretend stab her and I dropped him on the floor taking the knife away from him and slapped the **** out of him. I know for a ******* fact if I did that they would probally would of sent me away to my other dad. Also he stole 70 dollars from my mom and lied about it, she took it back. My husband is 23 and in the army. For a while now his mom always asks for money and whatnot to help her pay bills/whatnot. I'm not against helping out and what not but its now a regular thing and she doesn't do anything to help herself. My husbands 30 year old brother lives there still rent free and doesn't even have a job. It aggravated me so much that I told my husband to stop giving her money. So he hasn't and thinks we should feel bad when I don't! She pays his brothers legal fees(he's into heroin and drunk driving), housing for the place she owns beside them and his utilities/food. I just hated seeing her take advantage of my husband who hasn't lived at home for a couple years now and we are young trying to have a good savings for trips in the future or if we ever decide to have children. Does that make me a terrible person?

My dad is 66 years old, nearly 67, and the past few years, he had been blowing his top off. It started 3 years ago when he yelled at mental health counsellors who I was seeing. He was quite aggressive and nasty. Since then, he had talked like this to other people. He had told people off, made aggressive commands and name calling. He had a go at me once and called me a moron, and I am his daughter! I don't know if it's because he's getting older but I've seen older people who are happier than him. I'm just curious because there's this one girl at my school (she's a sophomore now) and she's always hooking up with random guys, taking drugs, smoking weed, and drinking. And her parents are the "rich" stereotype- they give her everything she could want, but they are never around. I don't want to talk about this is my family or anyonwle else. My parent's daughter (that thing isn't considered a sister to me) and I don't get along at all and that THING calls me names (*****, brat, and many more) so I say something back. We aren't in school right now, but when it starts back, I'm going to "disappear." I don't like school and I know I will never like it after middle school. I am 21 and the only son in the family. My mother adores my sister and basically worships her. She is 29. My other sister is 23 and she is dumped on by my mother all the time. I am not sure if my mother even loves her or not. I would guess she loves her but does not like her. Due to the disappointments my sister has caused my mother didn't talk to her for a year (now they talk but only at Christmas and maybe my sister's birthday and they only seen each other once in the last year). All conversations about my mother's kids are about the wonderful accomplishments of my mother's oldest daughter (the 29 year old sister). Once a day a comment will be made of the disappointment and hurt my 23 year old sister has caused. As for me I am the "other child". I am not bad or disliked but also nothing special about me. I just don't come up in conversation. My mother was agitated when she learned I took my sister (the bad one) to a baseball game. I spend most my time with my Dad and his family when with family as my mother's parents have died. My parents are divorced and the "golden sister" has a different Dad. So how do I handle this and what is causing this? Is my mother a narcissist? She has a niece with issues a lot worse then my sister that is dumped on and my mother is nice to her and seldom says anything bad about her. I should add my Dad suggested my sister who is the bad one might not reflect well on my mother since she has caused some trouble over the years (nothing extreme) whereas my oldest sister is a very sweet child and was always unique and an excellent student so she never reflected poorly on her mother or father (my mother's ex).

My dad was diagnosed with Polio at the age of 2 and is disabled from the waist down. He can still walk with a limp and his disease is not that bad anymore. He is 60 years old and has a very bad drug addiction. He still smokes cigarettes and a lot of marijuana. I remember seeing him on the balcony smoking a cigarette and few hours later I asked him when was the last time he smoked, he said yesterday. I am not that mad about him smoking but I have lost all trust in my Father due to his countless lies about smoking. He said his cigarettes were no regular cigarettes and were medically prescribed to him. The next day I look in his sock drawer to find Timeless Time cigarettes (these are just regular nicotine cigarettes, not medical). He also says he would never do anything with the drugs that are illegal and only medically prescribed to him. I look in his other drawer and see countless marijuana seeds and a bag of the actual illegal substance as well(he doesn't have a permit). He has bad mood swings when he is off the drug. This causes him to treat me badly and I don't know when he is actually himself or not. I tried to confront my dad about the situation and asked if we could have a serious talk, he said ok. I asked him why he is smoking so chronically and why he lies about it to me. He then started screaming at me and said he didn't want to talk about it anymore. ALL I WANT IS A FATHER THAT IS CARING AND I CAN LOOK UP TO. How should I confront him?? NEED HELP I miss the real him

My mum really seems to hate me recently, she is constantly picking on me and just being rude to me. I know she is having issues with my dad at the moment, but the problem is that she is trying to involve me and I don't want to be apart of it, I tell her this and she accuses me of not caring, I sit there and I will listen about all the issues but sometimes it gets tiring and as her child it isn't exactly pleasant to listen to. I had a baby several days ago, my first one. The natural labor was difficult and I ended up with stitches. For baby birth my husband and I invited my mom and brother to visit us. We paid for their plane tickets and all the expenses. Right after the delivery my mom became very bossy which I understand. We did need some guidance but it became way too crazy. She never allowed me to sleep during the day in spite of me not sleeping in the night with a newborn. She just kept repeating that back in time women gave birth in the field and continued working so it's not a big deal. As a result my stitches broke from constant cleaning, cooking and running around. Also the major issue is that she calls me very offensive names if I do something not her way. I didn t have milk the first three days so she told my brother (who is an adult) that I have meaty **** instead of my breasts and I can't feed the baby. She also said that she will take away my mother rights because I can t produce milk. However, I got my milk the next day and I have plenty! She also calls my husband bad words and it makes me ashamed of such a behavior. The last time she called me a ******* rat I told her that she is the rat herself. I can t believe I said that..I love my mom but I can't take that anymore. She called me names before but for god's sake I am 30 and she still treats me like this. She is in my house and rearranges everything. She moves the pictures, furniture and does whatever she wants. My brother doesn't help at all. One time I asked him to throw away dirty diaper and he refused because it had poo inside. I am not trying to make them work for me. In fact I constantly trying to take them out and find some entertainment but I am pretty busy with my newborn. My mom wants to leave earlier now because as she said she has nothing to do. I do not want her to leave but at the same time I can't be treated like this. I tried to talk to her but she keeps ignoring me like she doesn't hear...Any smart advice would help. I have a friend she gets jealous sometimes but she hides it and acts like she doesnt care. Once i asked her why she does that she told me she actually freaks out and she always worries if people know that she's jealous. she doesnt know why but its like when she shows people she's jealous she will show them that she wants mercy and so they have to act good to her? Psychologicaly i dont understand that she preffers to act like she doesnt care than showing people she really cares she lost lots of friends because of this. Once her father was sick none of us knew that she was really sad but when we asked her what is wrong she just said "my dad is sick" like she doesnt care. I'm a 20 year old guy. My mother died when I was 2 so I was raised solely by my dad, maybe that's got something to do with it. My dad is the most important person in my life. I feel like an asshole because I doubt I'll ever love a girl as much as my dad. When I have kids that'd change obviously. She said how inconsiderate her daughter and her husband are (they don't clean up after themselves and only gave a day or two's notice before coming). She then complained about the noise when they visit (they have two kids) and compared them to an aunt of my mother's who my mother regularly insults (she used to compare me to that aunt of hers when I was younger). It is the aunt of my mother's who my Mom told me was "annoying and tacky" when we saw her at a funeral over Memorial Day Weekend. So is this normal for a mother at my mother's age (62) to do about her own daughter and the daughter's family? I was offended because my mother is their mother and even though I agree my sister is a little absent minded sometimes it is family. I began wondering what she says about me when I am not around and she always is complaining about my brother's wife and sometimes my brother.

My dad left my family at a young age and from there I don't trust anyone easily. I don't even trust my mom with my life.. I want to trust people but I'm scared of getting hurt. When I do trust people, I only ever seem to get hurt over and over. I contemplate all the time as to why we even trust at all. The only person I trust is God but that's my religious viewing but I mean people around me in my daily life like friends, people I meet, family.. Is there any advice you can give me to learn to trust people again?

Long story, short: I won t be able to see him on father s day so I need to get him a gift! Problem: He doesn t really use anything. Prior to this discovery, I caught him masturbating in the living room. I'm 18 and i live with my parents still. I'm the only child and i live with my mum and dad and our 6 year old German shepherd dog, he's a really big fluffy friendly dog. I love my dog a lot but whenever my girlfriend comes round my house my dog goes crazy for her and as soon as she comes in the door, my gf and the dog just cuddle and play with each other for like 10 minutes. My parents are getting divorced.. as a teen, it's pretty bad, I've seen my lawyer once, and I currently live with my mom (my dad moved out about a month ago), he filed for divorce on March 24th. I've seen my dad twice since he moved out, just recently, on Sunday afternoon, I did not talk to him, I do not like him. My mom says, I need to decide who I want to have custody of me. It s hard to put this in one question without explaining... but let me start off like this.... Hello, my name is Brooke, I am a christian, who is 19 years old and lives in a house with a very strict Christian mother. The house is owned by my very sick grandfather who is also a very strict christian. The reason I bring up the religion is because I want the house we are living in. Im 17 and about 27 weeks pregnant. Due to reasons i live with my grandmother, dad, brother, and my other sister. My grandmother is constantly fighting/arguing with everyone in the house except me, but i cant barely take it much any longer because I m scared its gonna continue when my baby is born we cant move out because of financial reasons, and im at that point were i do not know what to do. My older sister has been coddled her whole life, as she bullied me, abused me and disrespected my right to be so much as acknowledged for being alive! Somehow, due to her extreme competitive nature, she has become very successful in her career working for the government. I don't think it's all that surprising that in spite of my being smart, I've had a harder time landing a successful career because I've had an extreme emotional toll taken on me being put in the shadow and always told that I didn't matter as much as her. We could never talk about my successes around her, because that mught upset her. Even my parents made the excuse for her that she never got over not being an only child- we're 2.5 years apart- that's disturbing that she couldn't get over it at that age. I have 2 choices, I can hide my successes because if she finds out, she intentionally goes out of her way to outdo them and make herself look better, and that puts me down. Or I can say who cares, she is she and I am I and join the playing field. It's hurtful when she outdoes me because she only does it for that reason- to be better. And I can never have my moment to shine. But if I hide it, no one knows what in accomplishing and I get no recognition whatsoever. What do you think?

Hello, so here is how it goes. Yesterday my dad was very drunk, I had to go to the bar and take him home, first he didn't want to come out of the car and he almost made a car accident, so when we came home he started to be very aggressive. He told my mom that she is a whore, my sister a ***** and myself gay. He called us very bad words. When my sister broke down crying on her knees, he said to her cry more you little *****. And he also hit my mom later. And then I got out of control and started hitting him really bad. And later he wanted to attack me and my mom, my sister calmed him down somehow.
