Posted: 08 Apr 2019 02:12 PM PDT Me and my step sister and brother was sleeping in the living room I was sleeping on the floor while she was sleeping on the couch because I had no space while I was sleeping I put my arm on the couch. Posted: 08 Apr 2019 01:54 PM PDT For 75th anniversary of Dday, I have some friends in military who invited me to come see them before they jump. They're only expecting me, dad would be a bonus but original plan was just me. My sister and I have never been close, always fought as kids and I just moved in w dad to get away from sister and mom. Suddenly this trip is next week and my sister wants to go bc "daddy never tells his princess no", so she tells him she wants to go cuz she knows I dont want her to.. She constantly mocks the way I interact w others, shes 17 w no job and screams until we entertain her, she already comes every weekend and takes all my days of peace away and Im tired of it. She always picks at my strings til I hit back, then suddenly plays victim.. So dad says I "cant be mean to her" and he cant say no, so either everyone's coming along or it'll be just me... I only wanted dad coming along to take turns driving so do I just go alone if I can't stand my sister being there and I want to ENJOY this trip?? |
Question: How do I convince my mom to let me stay at home alone for a week? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 01:25 PM PDT I'm 17 now and my mom is still adamant about me and my brother (who is 13) staying at my grandparents house, she says she doesn't trust me to stay alone for a week. It would be ok for my brother to stay at my grandparents but I don't really want to as I am now a young adult and I should be able to stay at my own house overnight. I also wanted to use the opportunity to get some alone time with my girlfriend without anyone getting in the way. Can someone give me some advice or points that I could bring up to my mom in order to let me stay home alone for a week? Thanks for any answers. |
Question: My mom doesn t believe me when I say my stepdad inappropriately touched me? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 01:12 PM PDT I ve had a stepdad for a really long time (since 5th grade) and he has inappropriately touched me since middle school on and off for a few years up until I was 21 when I finally had enough and told my mom about it. She believed me at first and maybe she still does but she s still with him? Her excuse is that he says I provoked him and teased him and that I was always asking for it when that is absolutely not true. I hate him. Why does she buy that bullshit? It s so hurtful to me that she would even think i would do that? I was also a child when he started being weird and gross with me. He has never molested me but just has inappropriately done things to me. I just want answers because my coworker also has a very similar story where her stepdad said the same thing and her mom believed him. Why are some women so naive like this and can t even believe their own children? It baffles me. |
Question: How can I tell my mother not to over use the power bank? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 01:10 PM PDT So I have a power bank that I only for emergencies considering the fact that power bank over use can cause it's battery to degrade. Even though I keep saying this over and over my mother still insist that I use it to charge my phone even if it is not necessary need. One thing I am worried about is that she making it a habit like if she keeps getting me to use it even when not need it there will come a point where she may want my to use it everyday causing faster battery degrading. I have seen power banks degrade from over use. |
Question: Am I correct to feel angry about this? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 01:04 PM PDT I just quit a job that made me absolutely miserable. My dad pretty much called me a baby, saying that millennials think we are suppose to be happy 24/7 and that we have to be miserable sometimes to make a living. The thing is, that I never asked to be born. I dont think I'm obligated to live the way he wants. |
Question: I can’t stand my mother smoking cigarettes? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 12:42 PM PDT My mom smoked cigarettes when she was growing up, but quit for 21 years. But, when she started dating her boyfriend who smokes, she started smoking again. She only smokes in the garage or in her bedroom, but my car is parked in the garage and my bedroom is right across from hers. So, both my car and my room end up smelling like smoke. I hate going to the store or restaurant with her, because she always interrupts whatever we're doing to go outside and smoke. It makes me not even want to go anywhere with her. If we go anywhere together, I have to drive us in my car because her car smells so terrible and is full of ashes. I hate walking outside with her while she's smoking because it's embarrassing and I hate the smell, so I have to walk like three feet ahead of her. I try to hide it from my friends, but she makes no effort to hide it. She left multiple packs of cigarettes in my car, which I had to explain to my friends when they rode with me. It hurts my lungs and throat, and when she's smoking in her room I always wake up feeling sick. I woke up due to a nightmare that something was on fire, and I frantically hopped out of bed and checked my flat iron and candles thinking that something was burning, but I realized it was just my mom. She just tells me that she'll quit eventually and if I have a problem with it I can go live with my dad. It just hurts that she's so inconsiderate and would rather have me leave than just stop smoking. Does anyone have any advice? |
Question: Am I wrong to be angry? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 11:08 AM PDT My mom passed away. In 2012. She owned her home and lived in one of the apartments. And my little sister. Lived downstairs. We all shared in caring. For my mom. When she was sick. When she died my little sister stayed with everything. For 6 years mom's apartment. Remained. Untouched. And my little sister said to me and mu older sister. That we will clean out the apartment. Together. And we can take. Some of my mom's belongings with us. But I just heard that my mom's apartment. Is empty. Where did all her stuff go. I don't care about the house or the money. I just wanted a few things from my mom I've waited 6 years. And now everything is gone. Am I wrong to lash out in anger towards my sister. My oldest sister is also. Angry. We feel that we been pushed out. And have no right to anything. Is it wrong. Just because she pays the the mortgage now. I'm suppose to not. Be angry about my mom's stuff cause they make me feel like. I'm not suppose to be angry |

Question: Why can't my father understand that I don't want to be a rich man like him? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 10:18 AM PDT I live in a country where doctors are rare so they are considered rich here. My father is a very successful doctor makes 250k per year and he wants me to be likw him but I'm not smart enough. I live in a mansion, I admit that I'm spoilt and my father never let me get a job because he says people will start wondering why his farher makes money but he let his son work and says if I need money, I should just ask him. Right now I'm 18 in 12th grade and I'm having problems with studying, I just can't get enough grades. I told my father, just let me get out of this country and let me have an average job and he says that I will struggle being poor with an average job. I told him that I have no problem living in a small apartment and have an average paying job and a good family in the future, I don't want more. My everyday life is go to a small private school with only 150 students then go home study and the gym and sleep. I wish I had the life of a normal teenager, I want to have a job after school, I want to have my own money so I won't ask for my father's permission to buy something, I want to go to a big public school full of people. I don't want all this luxury. I just want to commit suicide. |
Question: Why are my parents like this? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 09:53 AM PDT example=when my dad comes home and my bigger brother asks why you didnt buy aything? he says im so sorry i forgot say with fear then when i ask my mom to buy cheap snack/food then tell my dad to put it on steps i will come and pick myself he frowns like basically wants to say i will kill you peice of ****. if by being bigger others will treat you good and by being small they will treat you like **** then this is some stupid cruel world |
Question: Should women have rights? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 08:54 AM PDT hi guys i am new online and somewhat bewildered. why will women be treated the same as men? what can be done to fix it...i would like help pls |
Question: Is it normal for me to have a white cousin? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 08:41 AM PDT I'm black and I have a white first cousin |
Posted: 08 Apr 2019 07:59 AM PDT My teenage sister usually acts normal now, except her way of thinking is a little different. My mom has always called her weird and said people will laugh at her if she thinks that. My sister feels she cannot trust my mom. Over the last few years, she's been coming home less and less. She tends to find older friends too, and hangs around them a lot. She's also stopped talking to adults at school, because she knows that if the teacher is worried, she'll get the counsellor involved (who'll call my mom if it has anything to do with home or safety issues). The counsellor does worry about her safety, because she's hanging out with older kids and has no open communication with adults at home. My mom seems to have the belief that she can change my sister. If she could, it wouldn't have taken 16 years to do so (my sister's age). It's causing all these problems with her and the school. |
Question: How do I convince my parents I m independent enough to keep my phone upstairs? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 06:35 AM PDT So I m 17 as of the past february and ever since I got my first cell phone at age 12 I ve had to leave my phone downstairs on school nights. However more recently I ve noticed that on weekend nights when I listen to music I have a better time dozing off than without music on a school night. The extra alarm benefits me as well, since it s louder but doesn t murder my ears like my main alarm. My parents are sticklers about my electronics use because they think I ll grow extra limbs or something from looking at a screen, when they (adults) do the exact same thing even on a night before a work day. I really just want some advice on how to convince my parents that I m not an irresponsible little 12 year old who stays up all night anymore. Any advice would be fantastic! - Skyler B. |
Question: Did my aunt accidentally food poison me? Posted: 08 Apr 2019 03:39 AM PDT She use to take out rice pudding from fridge and leave it out for one hour instead of heating it in microwave or on stove. I was vomiting a lot afterward. |
Question: I feel guilty for hating my mom? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 11:05 PM PDT i'm 16 at the moment and live with both my parents. to make a long story short, my mom is a casual alcoholic, and throws temper tantrums when she comes home drunk. one recent example is the other night when she told me to go **** myself because she has "cancer". found out the next day that she didn't have cancer, and just made it up to make me feel bad for her. she's done this for as long as i can remember. she can be a good mom at times, which is why i'm conflicted. i probably couldn't be on my own without her help, but i also can't stand to be around her because i hate her for everything that she's done but i also feel bad for hating her because of all the good she's done. i know this is some tea i should be spilling to a therapist but they aren't really my thing. just need other people's perspective on this situation |
Question: I want to dress more feminine what should I do? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 11:02 PM PDT I'm 14 years old and I've always been more of a tom boy, my parents thought I was a lesbian but I am definitely not, I don't want to be a tom boy anymore, I don't want to play sports anymore, i'm done. I've been looking online for clothes and I want to buy some but I would probably have to wait until my birthday which is in July, I want to start being more feminine like wearing makeup, dresses, skirts, and all that good stuff. Even if I put my hair down they see it as strange because I always have it up or in a beanie, haha. Should I tell my parents about my idea or should I just order the clothes without them knowing? i'm so tempted to paint my nails but I know when I go down stairs they will give a weird comment, they are so used to the old me. |
Posted: 07 Apr 2019 10:25 PM PDT My mom thinks that yelling at my 10 year old brother and my 15 year old sister will make them stop their bad behaviour. Frankly, she displays all the bad traits that my siblings have developed overtime. My mom does lie and sneak around to get what SHE wants. She is very judgemental of other people. The kids are often criticized about their clothes, grades, friends or appearance. Yet she's surprised that the 10 year old has a habit of lying to get what he wants, and the 15 year old is a "mean girl" in high school, who criticizes other girls her age. Since I don't live at home anymore, and I'm away at college, I can gain a new perspective as an "outsider". She wants her younger children to be kind and successful, but she acts the way that she wouldn't want them to act. I don't think that she realizes how my siblings learned their bad habits from her, not from someone else.. |
Question: Why won’t kids stop talking about pee? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 08:51 PM PDT It's been months. My 14 year old daughter and her best friend seem to bring it up in nearly every conversation. They're very vulgar about it, even making it sexual at times. Should I be concerned? Scratch that. I already am. How do I make them stop? They don't seem to be into peeing on each other, they're only into the abstract concept of pee. I've never seen anything like this anywhere else. Please, if anyone has any ideas on why this is happening or how I can stop it, respond. I am begging you. |
Question: Can my 12year old brother get into legal trouble for saying racist things online? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 08:22 PM PDT He only did it as a joke. Nobody at school knows, because he is doing it on a video game with his online friends that don't know him in real life. My brother and his online friends must've said something pretty serious, because a stranger threatened to call the police if he won't stop it. Since our parents know nothing about technology, I went to ask friends if they can track my bro down. They said that his smartphone has an IP address and that people can. He's really scared right now. Based on previous incidences, our parents have tried to not get involved at all when things like this happen (which makes the trouble worse) |
Question: Am I wrong for not attending my grandmothers funeral? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 07:00 PM PDT My grandmother passed away suddenly last week and her funeral is on Monday. I feel really bad because I had not seen her in years, but we would talk on the phone once in a while and she had been trying to get me to come and see her, but I did not go because I did not want to see the rest of the family. I stopped coming around to see the family years ago, because I was tired of them judging me for the way that I lived my life. They judged me and thought that I was a weirdo because I did not live my life like theirs I did not want to deal with that so I cut all ties with the family. My grandmother was a good woman and she never judged me on how i lived my life, but the family was always at her house so I avoided going there because I did not want to see them. Her funeral is Monday and I don't feel comfortable attending since I have not seen all of them in years. And there is family there I would rather not see again. I feel angry at myself because I did not see her before her passing, so I feel why go to her funeral to see her now that she is dead. I don't want my last memory of her to be in a casket. Do you think that I am being selfish by not attending her funeral? |
Question: Why does family member have a problem for me to make or have an income? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 06:41 PM PDT Come from a money boasting, superior acting family. for some reason they have a problem when it comes for me to have my own money from them. They have an issue for me to get a job. Then go around a job to do self employment kinds of things, they still have an issue, but oly have an issue when money is involved. Idk why they are so money hungry but have an issue fpr me to have form of income to suppprt myself. they have an issue for an adult to grow up and be independent, do they see one having their own income as independence? How to deal with people like this? Excuse the typo and grammer |

Question: I don’t know if this is emotional abuse or if I’m just being over sensitive? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 03:27 PM PDT My family has an average of 2 big fights a day. We're never at peace with each other and I think it's because of my mom. Today when I was in my room there was a fight downstairs. I heard my mom yelling "Rachel just needs to calm the **** down!" (I'm Rachel) All I was doing was sitting in my room. At dinner, when things were silent as usual, I asked them why they blamed it on me and my mom just told me to shut up. Stuff like this happens daily, this was just the most recent. Am I being too sensitive or is this a serious problem? |
Question: My mom thinks i'm too "preppy"? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 03:24 PM PDT I'm an 18 year old girl and I buy my clothes at places like Abercrombie and fitch, Ralph Lauren, and Banana Republic and sometimes at Hollister. My mom says that i'm "too preppy" because I don't dress like the people at school, I live in a pretty ghetto neighborhood where everyone tries to dress all gangster and stuff, it's scary and I do get made fun of for the way I dress, my mom says I act too "proper" too. I think maybe she's just trying to protect me because of where we live but it hurts when she makes fun of me, I like the way I dress. What should I do about this? should I start dressing "ghetto" just to please her and everyone else around here? |

Question: Why does my family ignore me all the time? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 02:58 PM PDT I'm 16. I feel like nobody cares about me at all. Sometimes I'll try to talk to them or tell them excitedly about something that happened and they'll just pretend they didn't hear me or just ignore me when they know I'm talking to them . It hurts so much. And today my grandmother was outside our house and I was upstairs and I needed to ask her about something I couldn't find so I called her phone and she picked up angrily and then hung up and I called back again and I think my younger cousin was trying to pick up the phone but I heard my grandmother yelling "don't answer it" I feel so hurt like I don't matter to anyone at all :( I don't even do things to upset them I stay in my room most of the time because it's clear they don't want me around and I'm a burden to them. Why do they hate me so much ? |
