My little brother started crying out of nowhere I don't know what his problem is he's not really little he's 5 years younger than me but I still call him little he acts like a kid half the time. For the past couple months they constantly yell at me or curse at me for no reason, and after they say sorry and they're just stressed. If I ever try to say anything they say that I'm ungreatful and get more mad at me. (Even though I recognize and vocalize how lucky I am and that I'm thankful for them) After they either say I need to stop being sensitive or they say they're sorry and it won't happen again. It's gotten to the point where I'm always extremely anxious. If they even call my name just to tell me something I get sad and stressed. They walk around the house cursing constantly. Whenever we go out in public people always compliment my sons look and don't say anything to my daughter. Its the same with my friends and some family members .They'll dote on him and sometimes exclude or ignore my daughter. I think this will have an effect on her self esteem.

Last day, Sunday I was at my Aunt's house, and there was alot of family there. My 3 cousins, etc. And all of a sudden there's this shaking, I'm wondering what's going on. The fall out is because she does not want to cut off communication with someone. My girlfriend of almost two months has been saying how she's been abused physically and emotionally by her dad for her whole life. I didn't ever come into contact with it though before this morning when I was on the phone with her. She was explaining to her family how the bus driver was treating her wrong. Her dad then proceeded to say to "quit beating around the bush and say the ******* story" as well as saying he was wronging her because she was acting like a whore. My Dad's mother told me and it is my Mom's sister. When I asked my Dad he said "Mom never should have told my mother that and don't know what my Mom was thinking telling you". My uncle married an uneducated woman, who has no formal education. She's from a rural village. And brought her to the city to live with him. We live next door to them. I'm the first born of my own family. And & I have I stand to inherit a sizeable portion of land from my grandfather as well being his first born grand child. Now this woman knows this, she has no qualifications or education to speak of and cant get a job so her and her famliy which she brought to live with her all rely on my uncle to make ends meet for them. My family on the other hand are better off as both my parents, siblings as well as myself are all working. & my mother always tries to help my uncle out. But the inheritance will go to myself and my family when my grandad passes as my parents were the only ones who were ever really there for him (despite my uncle being his first born). My uncles wife knows this. & herself & her family are always talking about me & spreading lies and gossip about me to our neighbours trying to get them to hate me for some reason. & it's negatively affected my standing in the neighbourhood as now most of our neighbours dislike me despite my best efforts to show I'm not a bad person. I've been wondering about this for awhile if someone could please help with some advice, I am a 18 year old female and ever since I was the age of 14 my older female cousins gossip to others in the family about me and gossip together about me. Why is this? I've never done nothing to them? If anything I was always nice to them and when I would have money I would buy them things. Not only that I would give them emotional support and be there for them. I was always envious of my cousin in high school and college. No one ever doubted we were cousin because we basically has the same face, except I am 5'6 and he is 6'1. I know a lot of you would harp on me for being a freeloader for my mother at age 25, but I actually LOATHE being unwilling freeloader. When I had my government internship, I had no problem with paying bills & contributing & giving my family members money when they needed it. I failed to get converted even after the hiring freeze was lifted. Now I feel useless because I can't do that anymore. I applied for 400+ jobs & only got a few interviews but I didn't get them. I ended up leaving that internship without a job. Even though I still apply for jobs, I'm not interested in going out anymore. I would rather lay down all day & watch Netflix/Hulu than to go to job fairs & apply for jobs because of rejections. It's sometimes because I'm overqualified with my Masters. I just got denied from a job at a temp agency for not "fitting what they want" even though I met the requirements of the job & removing my Masters from my resume. I got into a heated argument with my mother today because I changed my mind about going to church because I'm so angry God allowed this to happen to me. I told at my mom that I won't go to pray to God because God doesn't give a damn about my problems. How does praying work if I've tried everything & I m still in the same situation? I'm not buying it. Saturday night I spent the night at a friends house. My mother told me to call her in the morning to "check in." I was planning on doing this because I knew she would be upset if I didn't. Unfortunately, I slept in late and I woke up to my mom calling me at exactly 12:01 pm. This was technically one minute over the deadline as it was no longer the morning but rather Sunday afternoon. Shw was very upset so I profusely apologized and said I would come home immediately. My friends house is literally one minute away from where I live so I got home fast. When I got home I continued to apologize and explained that it was irresponsible of me to not set an alarm and told her that I felt bad. She was still very angry and told me that I should feel terrible about it. She explained that she almost began calling hospitals to see if I was checked in at any. She then told me she didn't want to talk to me and said I should clean my room. I obeyed and didn't come out until I needed to go to work. When I got back from work she was still angry at me and barely said anything to me. I personally think that this was an overreaction. I understand that parents can be worried about their children and it's important to call them when they tell you to. I just think that being upset over this for an entire day is inappropriate. If you look at the silver lining of this situation, I was truly only asleep and at my trusted friends house just down the road.

It's a really complicated story but I am a college graduate and I'm working a really great job and have been very independent and lived on my own since 16. My mom has 8 children I am the second oldest. For the past few years my mom has kind of lost herself. She hasn't been taking care of herself, cleaning the house, or taking care of the kids.
