Question: How can you make friends outside of school? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 05:03 PM PST I'm 14 and I am not going to school for the time being due to depression and severe anxiety. I have 2 friends I talk to regularly and hang out with but they aren't always reliable. They don't exclude me, but their relationship with each other is lot closer than mine is with them. I don't really feel like I'm close with anyone. I want to make a friend who's is down for anything and that I can rely on but I'm not sure where to meet people. |

Question: How can I tell if a person is ignoring me? How can I addess it if they are? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 03:33 PM PST Basically ive known this guy for my whole life, as we are neighbors and have known eachother since we were kids. We always talked and hung out, you know, normal friend stuff. Though, in the past year hes been kinda offline and spacey. Never really talks to me anymore and if so its just a few words. On occasion Ive been trying to talk a lot more but it usually just ends up in being two sentences and then a moment of silence before we kinda just split away. I really want to know a second opinion. Im also really worried if its because im a biological girl that he isnt talking to me (not trans or anything, tomboy mostly). Do you think he's ignoring me, or just doesnt like me. If so how can I address it? |

Question: Help: this woman just wants to be friends but I don’t think I can be just a friend.? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 12:56 PM PST She wants to hang out with me, she wants to help me find work, she offers me dating advice, and she told me about a vacant apartment in her building. She also wants to help me with my self confidence issues. She has told me she's not interested in dating though. She's even invited me to her place to talk. Now while I see no problem in a man and woman being just friends, I don't know if I'm content with being just a friend to her. She seems like a great person and I can use a friend. But her and I haven't seen each other in almost 11 years and she already knows she doesn't want to date. She was a year behind me in high school. I think knowing she doesn't want to date will bother me. I would feel like no matter what I did I couldn't get her to change her mind. A part of me just wants to feel wanted by a woman not even just sexually but emotionally. |
Question: Have i done wrong with my bff? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 10:52 AM PST First of all i would say do excuse me for my eng but i really want ur help. I met my bff during college days . i was really happy. She is just like me we share so much in common. But after few months of friendship.I came to know that she is a cheater. She was in relationship with two guys.I fought with her for being disloyal but she didn t stop. She even got caught by 1 of her bf.She said him that the guy he caught her with is actually my crush and i insisted her to check his loyalty.Though i gave her bf many hints that she is a liar but he didn t get them. She cried for my help and i did help her.She began to hide her relationships with different guys. One guy she introduced me was really in love with her.but i told her this time to choose 1 guy and to say the truth.but she was afraid to say the truth and began to avoid the guy.Unfortunatly the guy commited suicide in 2015.Its 2018 but she is still the same. One of her lover became very good friend of mine but this time i said everything to the guy .I was afraid the history will repeat if it continues like this.the guy asked her after my permission to confront her .i said yes u should ask even if it destroy my friendship.she deserves to know the truth and n0w she is really angry at me.She called me as a disgusting friend she ever met.she even said that i don t deserve to be called as friend.M i really wrong? Is saying everything details of her to him is my mistake?plz help me |

Question: How can I make new friends while VISITING a city? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 10:36 AM PST So sometimes I'll go on a "hoecation" , but my goal at times is to also create new friendships at the same time. Despite the activities I sometimes do on a hoecation I'm actually pretty shy so it's difficult to make friends. I use the Grindr app to help with hookups but I believe I could use it to make friends. However whenever I've gotten to the actual city, I'm at a loss for what I should actually do once I find a person willing to hangout. I'm not a big dancer unless it's a rave, I'm shy, and sometimes awkward lol My ideal hoecation would be to make friends who I can visit on my next trip and vice versa whenever they come to my town. In my hometown I'm terrible at making friends , same with out of town but I have an edge because I'm in a different city so I believe I have slightly less to lose so I'm not so self conscience and I'm willing to take risk cause I'm not visiting for a long time, maybe 3 nights and 4 days or so. |

Question: I’m embarrassed about inviting my friends to my house? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 10:10 AM PST So, i live in a two bedroom flat with my parents and my sister and it's quite small. My friends always invite me over to their house and ask if they could come to my house but I always end up changing the subject or making an excuse. My house isn't messy, but it's quite small and ugly. We used to live in a two story house but we were forced to move and my parents really liked this flat but I never did. I also live quite far from school which I hate but whenever I mention it to my mum she says that it's not that and that i'll be fine. I don't know what to do because my friends have really pretty and modern houses which I'm jealous of and would love to live in, but my family isn't as rich to afford a house like that. And please don't say that my friends will accept it and that they won't care, because I don't want loads of people knowing that I live in a flat as they're going to start calling me poor (even thought living in a flat isn't being poor). Is there any way o could convince my parents to move houses? Please help me! |
Posted: 09 Dec 2018 09:11 AM PST My friend is my roommate and to make a long story short, we live in an apartment style dorm, and we share a bathroom with one other girl. In our bathroom, we have 2 towel racks and 1 large hook (the type of hook where you can hang two towels on either side). I use one of the towel racks, the other girl uses the other one, and my roommate uses the hook. Every since the beginning of the semester, she has been putting her dirty clothes either on my towel or on my rack, and that really bothers. I had to talk to her TWICE about this, and I just decided to keep my towel in my room. However, since I've been doing that, sometimes I'd take a shower and forget to bring my towel. So, I started using my towel rack again, and my roommate started putting her dirty clothes back on my towel again. Her reasoning behind doing so, is because my rack is closer to the shower. We also have a 3-tier stand in our bathroom that she can put her dirty clothes on until she's done showering. So, at this point, I don't know what to do? |
Posted: 09 Dec 2018 08:32 AM PST However, neither one of us notified our parents because they don't agree with meeting people online. Well, her parents just recently found out about me. They weren't happy, and won't let us speak again. They threatened me saying, if I ever tried contacting her again, they saved all contact information, and they'd call the authorities because I'm much older. I'm 17, and shes 11. Would her parents have anything against me legal wise? Also, would I be in any legal trouble if we still talk to each other after I turn 18 even if her parents don't want us to? |
Question: My friend celebrated her birthday with everyone else except me? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 05:34 AM PST okay before anyone begins, my friend (we're actually really close friends but i wouldn't think so anymore) doesn't usually do things with her family and this past weekend she posted on instagram and snapchat of her birthday celebration. I was upset because 2 weeks ago she was literally planning WITH ME what she wanted to do for her birthday and asking which restaurants I like because she wanted something that accommodated for everyone who was going (like about 5-6 friends i think). When I saw what she posted on instagram with everyone singing Happy Birthday to her I was almost crying (i know, i know i'm sensitive) because she didn't even ASK ME. I didn't even do anything wrong. And I've noticed she tries to avoid me? I'm so upset because i thought her and I were really good friends. I literally have like no friends now. I don't understand why she didn't invite me like i really don't. We used to do everything together she would invite me everywhere. I overhead her other friend that I'm not friends with tell my friend that i'm "too sensitive" and tbh that did hurt my feelings only because my friend never shows any emotion and i'm very open about showing emotions. I guess that annoys everyone. But i still don't understand why I wasn't invited, like did I do something wrong or did she think i was going to be too sensitive? I need advice |

Question: Why are people so judgemental? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 12:48 AM PST Like when we are in a vehicle. They make make negative comments and judgments about other people walking around from far away. Just about anything you can think of. Like you dont even know this person. I understand making a remark in a fun way and laughing about it but these people go full on **** talking. I feel like they are leeches that drain my positive energy. What the F is wrong with them. |
Posted: 08 Dec 2018 11:39 PM PST When I was younger in my 20's I had friends. I seen fake friends and drama with friends. It's been 2 years since I called someone a friend. I just know people now and don't call them friends. I go out to bars every other weekend to meet people and be social. I go to the gym to work out and play basketball. I am changing it up when I go out. I just started doing that because since i'm single it's a good way to meet women if you change it up. I may start online dating. We will see becauss I like face to face better. |

Question: Am I a loser for not wanting to go clubbing? Posted: 08 Dec 2018 11:12 PM PST So basically me and some friends are going on a trip to Japan next week for 6 days. And we all were planning our itinerary discussing what we are going to do and stuff. And they highlighted that we will be going to visit the clubs at night of day 3. I told them I'm sitting that one out and staying in the hotel because I don't like the whole clubbing atmosphere and I don't really like drinking either. They were mildly irritated by that and told me that it's a clubbing experience in a foreign country and that I should just "loosen up, get drunk and maybe meet some guys there". I've been to clubs before and I've never enjoyed myself because I'm just not into it. But sometimes I feel that I drifting away from my friends just because they are always going out to clubs in their free time rather than just hanging out which leads me to feel like such a boring person and that I can't relate much to them. Am I a boring person to them? Do you think I should just suck it up and go clubbing with them? |

Question: They had to stop being friends? Posted: 08 Dec 2018 06:21 PM PST My besfriend Josh was friends with this girl from work, he has feelings for her but shes married. They were still really good work friends, they were always making eachother laugh and he obviously had respect for her since shes married. But alot of coworkers felt like they're friendship was innapropriate since shes married. There were alot of complaints because she would always smile when he was around. So the manager told them they had to stop talking to each other . It turned into a big situation that they even deleted eachother from Facebook. Like is this even fair??????????? They both look sooo depressed now, like they were only friends and people took they're friendship the wrong way. |
