Question: I'm not liking where I currently live right now. What should I do? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 02:07 PM PST My family and I just moved in the country side for the first time and the house itself is great. The only problem is the internet is horrible and all the stores are so far away (the previous house didn't have these issues) I don't think my parents care on how I feel about it and I can't afford to get my own place. Do my parents feel the same way? Will I ever get use to this country side? |
Posted: 07 Dec 2018 01:37 PM PST A family member like one parents, one of your grandparents or another family who you are close to has been in the hospital for a week or more and now she/he is very sick. The doctor has said that he/she may die soon and you become really sad. |
Question: Want to move out but.....? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 11:47 AM PST Okay so I want to leave because I feel my parents arent Fina cially responsible. Meaning we move almost every year we stay in a place for a bout a year 5ops. Then I feel things are so backwards with my parents. I helped my mom by paying for some of her tuition when she hasn't done that for me and probably never would... Also I got my own car by myself..( no help).my mom's got repoed and now I basically have to let her have my car so she can get 5o and from work which means I have to walk home from work at 11 or midnight. Most times.. It's really unfair to me. I want to move out and take my car but if I do she can't work and will lose the place and my 11 yr old brother will suffer.. I'm working on getting a certificate that will help me get make enough money to afford to be on my own. Idk Any advice ? Even now u go 5o work really soon and my mom is running as many errands as possible. It's extremely annoying. |
Posted: 07 Dec 2018 11:37 AM PST I was applying for jobs but for awhile I was sick with strep throat for 2 weeks then got a infection and now my phone is broken I will get a new one in about a week I will start applying jobs again the last time I said it to my mom she said the social security money will go down I don't know if she is using me for the money or not I have a few illnesses but I won't let them take over my life I don't have a great relationship with my blood relatives I am miserable here when the time comes for when I look for a job again will be interesting because if she doesn't give me rides it's obvious I will walk if she won't I haven't really practice driving for my license either I will test it this weekend by asking her if I can drive with her if she says no it's obvious I don't know it will hurt if she is really using me she is good at hiding it if she is there are moms who would say the truth they are using their kids mine doesn't like admitting wrongly about herself. If you don't care then why did you answer? Hehe also I bring in social security money to help pay bills you are making it sound like she owns me but she doesn't she is my mother not my owner. |
Question: How do you start a conversation with a cousin? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 10:38 AM PST I m almost 15 and my cousins and I have obviously changed. They are around my age range and are close to my older brother, as in they make jokes and stuff and text or whatever. Although, I and even they don t know what to talk about with me....so this just leads to silence or he talks with his brother the same age as him. Also this is in my bedroom for like 4 hours like usual because my parents want to meet with their parents so it s kinda forced How do I start a conversation and any examples of what I can say? |
Question: I’m so abandoned, what do I do? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 09:57 AM PST I'm a 19 adopted female, my biological family decided to get rid of me at 18 years old. They sent me to a University 5 hours away from home in the mountains and have left me here ever since. They never come out to get me even during the breaks and my birthday, they would never let me learn how to drive in high school, Christmas break is now coming soon - it's 4 weeks long but the dorms will be locked. I will be sleeping outside in the snow because I can't get a ride to where my home is. There are no buses, or taxi here in this stranded city. I put up on Facebook on several groups to see if someone would be able to give me a ride if I pay them if they are heading there already, but no one has ever replied. I don't understand why nobody likes me. I'm skinny, blonde, and I have a symmetrical face and fixed teeth. And because I'm alone, some big girls at my University are harassing me both in person and online. What's wrong with me?, I'm not deformed or disabled or anything. |

Posted: 07 Dec 2018 09:01 AM PST i want thoughts and opinions on something that just happened to me. I was fighting with my mother about something and it slowly came onto another topic. My mother is white and my father is black. My mother was quoting something and said 'n*gger', I instantly got offended and told her to never say something like that again. We then got into an even bigger argument and she said, ' i can say it they always say 'n*gger' in rap songs', i said 'as a white women who didn't have to worry about anything all her life you have no right to say 'n*gger' she replied, 'if i'm a white women, what are you?'. this question took me extremely off guard. 'am i not both? why do i have to be labelled?' i replied. and what she said next shocked me.. 'you're either one or the other'. NEVER have i ever heard words like this come out of my mother's mouth and i instantly felt tears in my eyes. As a mixed person it isn't really the best having to explain 'what you are' to everyone you meet. i'm extremely offended and not talking to her until she apologises. what is your opinion on this? is she right? am i? |
Question: Is it better to have cruel and bad siblings than not to have siblings at all? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 08:51 AM PST One person once told me this, they said that not having siblings is the worst thing in the world Losing a sibling and not having one from your birth are two different things |
Question: Should I tell my sister to stop doing this? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 08:37 AM PST I am a 19 year old guy with a 14 year old sister Lisa that I really like. I am VERY protective of her. My buddies like to hang out at my house and they also like Lisa a lot. Lisa has a lot of homework and she often ask my buddies to help her with her homework. They are happy to help as they enjoy helping her. Since they have started helping her, her grades are much better. Lisa is a very affectionate person so after her homework is finished she thanks the guys for their help, hugs them and sometimes gives them a kiss. THEY LOVE IT. It is not a romantic thing with her. It is just her way of saying thank you. My buddies just like being kissed by a beautiful girl. Now when they come over, the first thing they ask is does Lisa need help with her homework. They act like they are just helping their adopted little sister. I have told my buddies over and over that Lisa is NOT FLIRTING WITH THEM. Even so, I am afraid my buddies will get the wrong idea of Lisa's intentions. Do you think they will? Should I tell her to stop the hugging and kissing? |
Question: Is this something I should tell my mom about? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 08:35 AM PST I am a high school girl. My school is a short distance from where my mom works. Sometimes after school I go to mom's work place and wait for her to get off work in the company cafeteria. Mom is the only woman employee at this location. While I was waiting for her, I met and became friends with a lot of her co workers. They are some really great looking guys. Several of them told me "I see where you get your beauty from. Your mom is gorgeous." Some of the guys there told me "Your mom would make a trophy wife". Anyone know what that means? Is it a compliment I should tell her about? Would my mom want to hear what her fellow employees are saying about her? |

Question: Sister thinks I should visit more. What do you think? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 03:43 AM PST I come from a family of 7 siblings. I'm the youngest. We all still live in the same city. We're very close to our parents who are getting up in age. Dad is 81 and mom is 72. For years we'd always just stop by and sit with them even if that meant several times a day. Well, I would usually stop by on my way home from work a few times a week, like every other day. I recently took a job that had me working in the next state and it takes me about an hour to get home. By the time I get back to our city I've been in my car some 45+ minutes and it's starting to get dark and I'm tired so I've gotten to the point to where I don't stop by as much. Yesterday morning one of my sisters text me to say that she feels some kind of way about me not stopping by our parent's house as much now. I don't know if my mom said anything to her or if she's taking this on herself but I'm wondering how I should handle this. My sister lives in our city too but she only goes by our parent's house maybe once a week and that's typically on the weekends. The thing is this, my three other brothers still live at home with our parents so it's not like they're there alone. With my job being farther away I just don't have the time like I use to to just stop by for a visit every other day. What should I say to my sister and why would she even care since she's not going over but once a week herself? My parents do tend to rely on me for certain things. Anytime something usually needs done at the house my mom will typically call me. If they hit a button on the remote and the tv won't work she'll call me to come fix it. The other week the ice maker in the freezer stopped working and she wanted me to come look at it. Granted, my 3 older brothers were right there. It took me all of 10 minutes to figure out the problem and fix it. What should I say to my sister or should I tell her to go see them more often if she feels they're lonely now? |
Question: My husband wants me to meet his dead mother... should I? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 12:58 AM PST My husband's mother died in the winter of 1989. His family has decided to have her body exhumed and moved to a cemetery that is closer to where most of them live. He is telling me that he wants to spend time with her body and open the coffin and see her again. He also wants me to "meet" my mother in law during this session. I'm not sure how to feel about it or what to expect. |
Question: Why does my dad always come fetch me to clean dead family members graves? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 11:44 PM PST I've told him before, I don't see the point of it so why doesn't he do it himself?and then he also asks something afterward like "I think we did our good deed for today?" the dead people can't appreciate it! He doesn't listen to me. I always have to do what he wants. |

Question: Should I pressure mom to stop helping ex with babysitting? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 09:08 PM PST Mom helps ex watch 9y son, Custody is 50:50. Ex is mean and a jerk still. 7y ago when we split and she told my mom she'd take my blood if she could. Nowadays she plays "nice" in front of others to mask her usual way of being towards me. Yet my mom still helps. She says she does it for the sake my son / to be around him as much as possible before he becomes a teen and doesn't want to be around and not to help ex. |
Question: How to convince my parents to let me get a double ear piercing? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 09:08 PM PST I'm 16, my parents are chill and I'm grafeful for it, but my dad is against me getting a second set of ear piercings (I already have one ear piercing on each ear from when I was a baby). I don't see what a second piercing on each ear would do, or what difference it would make. My mom is ok with it but my dad still needs convincing. It'll be possible but not easy. What should I say or do to help sway his decision? |
Question: Do you look down on adults who live with their parents? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 09:04 PM PST Why or why not? (Assuming they're 21-22 and work full-time at minimum wage, but aren't in college.) |
Question: How to convince my parents to let me get a double ear piercing? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 09:03 PM PST I'm 16 years old, and my parents are pretty chill and leniant. They let me hang out and do typical High School things, and I'm really grateful for it. They're not overly strict, and they don't have a problem with makeup, crop tops, or my other clothing choices. However, my dad is against me getting a second ear piercing on both earrings (I already have single piercings on both earrings from when I was a baby). I honestly don't see what an extra pair of piercings would do, or what difference it would make. I don't want any large piercings, just a subtle pair on top of my already existing ear piercings. My mom is ok with it but my dad still needs convincing. I feel like he could be persuaded, but it won't be easy. What should I say or do? |
Question: Do you guys think I have really bad anger issues? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 08:34 PM PST So, I'm 19. My parents recently moved in a 20 year old man. I liked him at first but ever sense he water boarded me i had sick fantasy about me stabbing or poisoning him... For example today he was in the shower and he left the shower on for almost a hour, I tried to ask him about why is the shower on and I overheard him say tell to my older sister, tell her dumb. retarded *** to use the downstairs bathroom! She's always trying to start drama! He also said I'm disgusting and I leave pisssy juices on the toilet seat. He also talked to my parents about how my private part makes the whole upstairs smell. So, I started hearing voices telling me to kill him, that he's out to get me, that I have no future and I need to stab him and my older sister because they make fun of me all the time. Today I had fantasies about stabbing him in the dark and attacking my family members. I hear voices almost daily telling me to kill or harm people in my house... |
Question: Is my household abusive? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 07:16 PM PST Whenever we my family gets into an argument it usually culminates in my Dad or my Mom doing something really really bad. Today, my dad got really angry and he threw a glass cup across the room and then swung a chair into the wall, making a hole. He then charged at me and I had to run out the back door, shaking and crying, while my mom tried to calm him down. Two weeks ago my mom shoved me into the wall and made a mark on my chest, and two weeks before that she shoved me into the wall and made a bump on my head. I can not stand living with all of these arguments and its really ******* with my mental health. I don't know what to do, I am begging for help. |
Posted: 06 Dec 2018 06:58 PM PST I know I should just forgive her and move on. But it is very sad. She's less able to reason. She doesn't understand that I now have much greater faculty for handling myself and others. Anyway, any assistance regarding this emotional thing with a quickly aging parent is appreciated. |
Question: Is it OK to cry in front of your sister ? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 06:30 PM PST Me and my wife were watching the Reelz channel they were talking about the Gainesville Florida murders. This killer had an awful childhood which is why he decided to do murder. One part of the show that broke my heart was where they said his dad was very abusive and violent they said he tied up him and his brother and beat then nearly to death he even threatened them saying they were mistakes that they're mother never should have had them. I can't believe any parent would say that to their own kids I hate to say it but I wish his father had beaten him to death if he had he could have saved lives this would have never happened if he had were luckyour parents never treat us that way. Now because of this I'm gonna be crying myself to sleep tonight. I would never treat my kids this way. I'm a very emotional guy so whwn it comes to this especially kids or animals it hurts me. I never went through this but it really upsets me. Is it OK to cry in front of her ? |

Question: My Nana is almost 80 and my cousins dont visit her ever? Posted: 06 Dec 2018 05:24 PM PST One is 26 one is 28. I have been close with them but they just cant be bothered. My Nana is not sickly thank goodness but she is getting older I think they could try and visit her once in a while. She has done literally everything for them, including spending years in the hospital with the oldest one because he had leukemia. They only see him in July for the oldest birthday party and then Christmas eve. I was about to order their 2nd Christmas gifts but maybe I'll just give them one? I feel bad about it when they barely pick up a phone.....(I live next door to my nana in a duplex) yes I buy gifts for them at Christmas???? why wouldn't I??? the family comes over and we all exchange gifts. im asking if I could just give them the one and forget about the second since this bugs me? |
Posted: 06 Dec 2018 03:50 PM PST What should i do? His father says that is normal for his age to treat bad everybody. |
