I've been bestfriends with this one woman since we were little kids, and we have a sibling-like relationship with each other. But she now has a steady boyfriend, and we barely see each other at all anymore, since she's always spending time with her boyfriend. I honestly feel jealous of her boyfriend, since he has a stronger and much better bond with my bestfriend than I do. She's also planning to marry her boyfriend, and I'm also jealous that he's going to become an actual part of her family. Having someone feel like family to you is way different than having someone actually be part of your family. If you have a bestfriend and he or she is in a relationship with another person, there's no way that you can compete with your bestfriend's partner for the love and affection of your bestfriend. If you're a male and your bestfriend is a female and she gets a boyfriend, you're (from my experience) are bound to get pushed out of most of your bestfriend's life.

Something I've noticed whenever I ask friends to do something or hang out, they always say no. I used to hang out with a group of friends, but they all graduated and moved away and they all work now, so I want to be respectful of their time, and not be so needy. It was Spring Break this week and I didn't do anything fun. I pretty much just sat in my apartment. I went to the gym a couple of times, but that's pretty much it. It's also really hard to meet guys too, because at least in my experience, as soon they find out that you don't have a ton of friends or that you enjoy having time to yourself, they automatically think that you're a loser. I don't think I am, it's just the friends that I had moved away. I always feel like I'm annoying people if I ask them to hang out.

I saw the guy I like at a restaurant. My friends was extremely rude toward him he doesn't deserve that. One of my friends told me how he treats me is uncalled for I can tell for one he was with a group of girls He wasn't with a group of girls he was with 2 or 3 girls and the rest were guys. Than my friend said he didn't look toward us until her, my friend, and her boyfriend looked over. I asked my other friend she told me she wasn't paying attention. Than my friend told me the guy I like is gay and I have to accept that. I asked her how does she know he's gay? He expressed interests in me. She didn't answer my question she went back to he didn't look toward us until she, my friend and her boyfriend looked at him. My other friend already told me she wasn't paying attention. Lastly she told me he has hurt me more than once and it pisses her off but how she reacted toward him was hurtful to me. He hasn't hurt me in a year. Majority of the time he treats me decently. Should I be careful what she tells me?

I really need help! This happened in 3rd period and it was gym. You see I hit puberty and I really like to mess with girls. But anyway our class had to jog around the whole gym for 5 minutes. Me and my friend usually just walk cause our gym teachers don't pay attention. As we was talking we kept on staring at random girls asses as a joke. We both laughed and made jokes like "damn that's huge" so my friend dared me to fake slap a chicks butt. I was down for it cause I considered myself a class clown. So I went to the hottest girl in the gym room. She was jogging a little fast so I had to keep on catching up to her and keep looking around making sure no teachers were around. So I got my friends attention and pretended to slap the girls buns. But I got carried away and I did it a second time and a second time turned into a third time. My friend kept on laughing and so was I. But on my fifth try my arm swang but my arm whipped. What I'm saying is my hand touched her butt. I quickly put my arm down and got embarrassed. My friend was literally on the ground laughing ;(. She laughed and joked I'm telling on you. I told her don't but All of a sudden coach jumped like a f**ing cheetah on drugs and sent me to the office. My friend didn't get in trouble but I did? What should I say for them to believe it was an accident

At my school, many of my school peers are fully open about their racist views and how they hate homosexuals, transsexuals, LGBT - they like to make harsh jokes (I'm serious when I say harsh) about them constantly. I told this to my older sister and she was kinda surprised and said her peers weren't like this when she was in high school, she told me they would make jokes, but never were they harsh. The way she described her class, they sounded more accepting and more inclusive. She graduated in the year 2006, so it's been a while. Why is my high school & peers so backwards and messed up then? :/ I understand they're just jokes, but still..

This girl picks on particular older girls who wear makeup or a certain clothing style. She doesn't do it obviously, but in a subtle way. Enough for people to get the message BUT hard enough for teachers to notice. We ignore her evil eye, rude remarks, gossipy rumors in the halls. She's two years younger than us with Asperger's so everyone takes it easy on her! Truth is, she knows enough to do this and knows it's wrong, because she does it in a subtle way.

I go to Dental Assistant school Monday Through Thursday from 8:00am until 1:00pm which is a year long program. And I would go to massage school only on Fridays from 10:00am until 2:00pm. But it would take me two years to finish the massage program since i only go part time.

My best friend for three years is a vegan. I recently was talking about hunting and how badly I wanted to hunt with another friend and she overheard this and began yelling at me and threatening that if I learned how to hunt then we wouldn't be friends. What do I do? I don't want to lose her as a friend but I also want to hunt.

I did not know he is attached until one day I found out he has already a fiancé but it is too late, I have fallen for him but I did not confess to him, I think he knew I like him because I treated him overly too nice, I get the drift and I already back off and stopped treating him nice and even avoid him as I could but ever since he knew I like him but I did not confess, whenever he is on the speaker with the fiancé, he make sure I get to hear it and he talks very loud , he also makes sure I knew that he went out with his fiancé and got home Very late to show me he is enjoying his date. Why is he doing all these purposely? Like I say, I already backed off and stopped treating him nice, what is he trying to do? Isn't he mean?

And all of my female friends like me. What am I doing wrong with my friendship life? I like talking about stuff like my career projects or the happiness of my life with guys every now and then to get a male perspective, but they don't care.

I am a 21 year old college student. I need to make some money and I badly need to make new friends. I am not all thrilled with the friends I've made in college, aside from a few. And I'm no longer friends with any of my high school friends. I don't really care if the job is that high paying, but if I can meet some cool people, it would be worth it. What are some ideas?

So I have a couple of friends and we've been planning to get together so we could hang out for a long time. But recently I've had a very emotional time and I don't feel like I want to go, but I also don't want make them feel bad by cancelling so suddenly. I don't know what to do... I'm friendly and talkative depending on how much I'm spoken to, but I don't know why but my whole life when I'm in a group, people just do not like me. I'm the least liked. I've always had this problem. I wonder if people think I think I'm better than them or something. I have had people even tell me that. I don't know if it's just bad luck for who I am around or what. I feel like before people get to know me they talk to me a ton. But once the group gets to know eachother more, I am the least liked. I am friendly to people and I treat them kindly. I just don't know why it has to be this way that I end up being the least liked. It holds me back from excelling. Or at least I worry it does. I have 2 problems when it comes to befriending people 1. I'm shy and I'm always nervous about what people might think of me 2. I don't really know what to talk about or how to start a conversation naturally For example one of my coworkers chatted with me today and she seemed like she was open to hanging out. I'm 17 and in all of my life I had the problem of having no friend.I have no friend.no matter how hard I try. I feel terribly lonely. Nobody wants me for me. Not even my family. I started crying yesterday sitting in the middle of the home and my parents and two sisters saw and just passed by. And I have never cried in front of them. I feel like I want to die. i met this girl last year who seems really nice and sweet, but is the complete opposite. she used to get really mad at one of my old friends and stopped talking to her after trying to blackmail her about her crush and calling me a ***** and stuff. everyone then was walking on eggshells around her so we wouldn't make her mad. she started getting mad at me this year after she wasn't invited to a sleepover. i wasn't the one who invited the people in attendance. the sleepover was initially planned to get me out of the house because i live in a dangerous situation, but i didn't decide who was invited. my close friend decided it for me and chose people she thought i trusted, which excluded this toxic friend. she had gotten mad at me for many things that are really not my fault or completely out of my control. however, i feel like i owe her a lot, as i wouldn't be friends with a lot of the people i know now. she could make them turn against me as well. she keeps using my home situation as blackmail so she can get what she wants. is she a toxic friend? should i cut ties with her?

There's a reason I don't talk to certain members of my family. It's no ones business what happened, but people are so judgemental saying I should talk to them because they are family.

I'm still exhausted by talking to people because I am an introvert. I can't relate to people that say they're an introvert but talk all day long or even just daily online with people. Even posting one thing per day is exhausting after a couple of days because I'm making some sort of connection with someone.
