Question: Would it be inappropriate to give my personal trainer and his fiance a wedding gift? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 11:23 PM PDT He's been my trainer for a year and a half. He's definitely been the most motivating trainer I've ever worked with who actually cares about my health and fitness goals so I thought it would be nice. I wouldn't want to overstep boundaries especially in his fiancee. Which is why I ask. I was thinking maybe a gift card to something like Bed Bath & Beyond. When I asked him about a gift to someone else's wedding that I was going to, he brought up that that's where they were registered. I figure a gift card would be good for them to use for their new home. |
Question: Is my sister being an unreasonable bride? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 10:27 PM PDT My younger sister is getting married next June and I m her matron of honor. She is demanding that she has a weekend getaway bachelorette party and expects each girl to contribute $250-$300. She has 7 bridesmaids and only 2 could probably afford this budget. I am expecting my first child months before as well as budgeting her shower in April (and shower gift), whatever bachelorette party we have in May and her wedding is the first week in June (cost of hair, nails, makeup, alterations, wedding gift and her breakfast etc). I told her all the above and that I would not be able to attend/feel like I m unable to plan anything to accommodate these requests realistically. She was furious and said I m being selfish. Yet, when she planned my bachelorette party as my MOH we went to the local bar (which I didn t mind bc my bachelorette party wasn t a big deal to me, I just wanted my friends there). She said her other bridesmaids would be fine with it, but I know I couldn t afford it and don t want to come across as a *****. I even said they could go without me and I d throw in cash for her drinks, but she was so angry with me. I told her to let her friend (who is her other MOH) plan it if she wouldn t listen to me or be understanding, she is young and doesn t even pay any bills but I m hurt and frustrated.what should I do? Am I in the wrong? |

Question: Funny bachelorette mugshots? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 06:20 PM PDT We are throwing a bachelorette party for our friend and we are doing the funny mugshot photos. The cards we got have a space for us to write why we got arrested (space is not that big. Just enough to write a simple reason). We are trying to come up with funny reasons to put on the cards. Be creative and have fun helping us. There are 8 of us total. Thanks in advance! |
Question: How much can a tailor take in a bridesmaid dress? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 12:25 PM PDT My friend is getting married next April, and we are going bridesmaid dress shopping in a few weeks. Since last October I have been on a strict diet/fitness plan and have lost 70 pounds. I have 40 pounds to go until I'm at my goal, and I think I can lose most, if not all, of it by next April. So if I order a bridesmaid dress now, and lose 40 pounds before the wedding, would a tailor be able to take in the dress that much? Can I pick out the dress now and order closer to the date to see how much my weight changes? What is my best option? |
Question: Where's the best place in Milwaukee, WI to go for wedding invitations? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 12:18 PM PDT I'm looking for something nice, yet reasonably priced as well. |
Question: Bridesmaid putting jacket on before wedding photos were done? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 07:27 AM PDT We were taking photos during a cold late winter wedding outside in strapless dresses. It was maybe low 30 degrees or something. Not freezing but cold enough to notice. The best man took off his jacket and offered it to a bridesmaid who accepted his offer. Now there's pics of one bridesmaid-- only one-- wearing a men's tuxedo jacket. The maid of honor had a matching shall. How big of a deal is the fact that one bridesmaid stands out in group shots and should the bride be mad? |
Question: Is it ok to announce big news at friend s important events? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 04:06 AM PDT I have a friend who announced her engagement to guests at my wedding. Then two years later she announced her pregnancy to guests at my baby shower. I find this to be rude and annoying. Am I overreacting or no? |
