We already had 2 dates and he texted me to let him know when I wanted to do something and when I did tell him he didn't respond. Was I in the wrong for trying to initiate a third date? If he told me to let him know when I wanted to do something how could I have 100 percent initiated the date? Thanks for any advice |

He studied abroad twice in college, and is currently working in the summer olympics now for a month. He has 0 student debt and no expenses at all and his parents take care of a lot of things for him, hopefully only until he comes back and gets a full time job. Im really proud and happy for him but i cant help but feel jealous! I work full time in a corporate office and barely have time for anything with my commute, but hes living life! Its just tough when he has all these great stories and i feel like i pale in comparison. its hard to hear all of his cool stories while im just at home doing the same oldthing. How do i not feel like this? |

I won't lie, we've had some big issues and conflicting problems, but things seem to be looking up. He just came back from military training (he left in January) and my mindset has changed since then. I've adapted the idea that it's not bad to see about myself. But that was while he was gone. Once he came back, I could no longer think for just myself. He gets upset over the family drama of having a new baby brother with a 23yr difference. But I've never been quite right in the head. I've been in therapy and on meds for depression, anxiety, and PTSD for almost 5yr. I've made progress but I'm still not perfect. Ever since he came back I've been afraid we aren't right for each other. He's done nothing wrong at all, he's a great man (has flaws of course but nothing horrible). But I'm still thinking about myself. I don't want to visit him today because I'm too lazy to drive go his house. I don't want to hold hands. I don't want to perk him up when I myself am not feeling well. I don't know if I'm being selfish or creating boundaries for myself. I used to give up everything to see about the other person in past relationships, but my therapist says I needed boundaries. Are these boundaries or am I being a bad selfish girlfriend who no longer cares for him? He deserves better than that after all he's done for me. |
