Question: Materialistic if i want a diamond engagement ring? Posted: 30 Jul 2016 11:40 PM PDT I honestly don't want a huge engagement ring, but I do want a small diamond that is suitable for my tiny finger. I don't expect my man to spend thousands of dollars on a ring either, I want a small ring maybe even under 1000 which I don't feel is asking for too much considering we're going to be married for the rest of our lives. He kind of made me feel like I was asking for too much or that I was being materialistic. He makes a great living and can support us fine. He asked me what I would do if he couldn't afford an expensive ring and I told him that I didn't care about the cost as long as it was nice and wasnt super small. he then got kind of upset and kept going on about how a diamond is just compressed coal and why it was such a big deal. is it bad of me to want an actual diamond ring for my engagement ring? |

Question: Late fall wedding colors? Posted: 30 Jul 2016 05:12 PM PDT We are getting married in mid-November in 2017 and are deciding between plum with accents of other colors of purple or emerald green with accents of gold |
Question: Who should hand me off in my wedding? Posted: 30 Jul 2016 04:16 PM PDT I v always wanted my mom to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day. She s was my dad and mom rolled into one. I m not terribly close to my dad. Things have gotten much better between us and his worked on a lot, but I still feel weird having him be the one. We never even hang out. My dad over the phone has already let me know that "Your dads suppose to hand you off ya know!" & "I m walking with you right?" I don t want to crush his feelings...but I also don t want him to crush my wedding with anger & spite and sadness. What should I do? What are some options? |
Posted: 30 Jul 2016 12:13 PM PDT Is it just a waste of money? Is it to show off on how good, extravagant, rich or different someone's wedding could be? Is it to get really good presents? Is it because everyone else has done has had weddings, so why not you? To share in your joy? To get really good memories? For the experience, so you have things to talk about with friends and family? Frankly, I would hope that instead of people spending perhaps thousands of dollars on this big party, they would spend this money on more important things. charity, a new house, food, financial security, etc. So what is the REAL reason that people have weddings? |
