Question: Overseas gust invitation to a wedding - who pays for what? Posted: 15 Jul 2016 11:03 PM PDT I am living aborad in Asia and my friend U.S. invited me to his wedding next year. Just wondering who pays for travel cost in this case? In Asia, when an overseas guest is invited to one's wedding, all cost is beared by the couple. (As there are not many overseas guests invited to the wedding in Asia.) Not sure how the rule is applied in U.S. on the wedding invitation. What is general custom in U.S. on this situation? Does the overseas guest bears the travel cost? Or not? |

Question: Full fledged wedding or elope? Posted: 15 Jul 2016 03:36 PM PDT I met my now fiancee in high school in 1993, and became instant close friends. When we were in our Junior year, we became way more than friends, and fell in love with each other. After being together for 6 years, While going to college in different countries, we lost contact, without ever splitting up. As fate would get it's way, we found each other last month, and we are still in love now it was like we were apart for only a day! I proposed, on on the fourth of July, and she said yes!!! Here's the dilemma...this is both our first time engaged, we are both going to be 38 in 2 and 3 months, respectively. We don't know.w whether to have a big wedding, small wedding, or to elope!! As you would know, this is the only time we are going to get married, and want it special, and people have thrown their opinions in as much as we are confused which to do! What should we do?? |

Posted: 15 Jul 2016 10:38 AM PDT The wedding is tomorrow. I'm one of the groomsmen. They going to do the traditional boquet garter toss. There is only like around 8 of us men that are single and I already heard them and the groom (assholes) planning on letting me catch the garter so they can see a 19 year old man die of embarassment. How do I place the garter on lady's leg without making it awkward or creepy. And how do I dance with her without being flustered? |
Question: Should a plus one buy a wedding gift? Posted: 15 Jul 2016 10:25 AM PDT It's my dad's cousin's wedding, and I asked the bride if I could bring my best friend as a plus one and she graciously said yes. I asked her personally because she invited my family under my dad's name not just specifically me because I'm just 17. My best friend doesn't know her at all and so I'm wondering if she should get them a wedding gift still? |
