Question: My mom is getting on my last nerve; what do I do about her? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:39 PM PDT So this morning my mom came into my room and took a picture of it and texted me at school saying your room is a mess every day it's messy like this I'm taking $5 from your allowance. So then I called her and she pretty much said your room is a mess you need to clean it then I asked her how does my room affect you? The replied saying I don't want bugs coming in my room from you room. Then I said no bugs have come in there so far. She responded by saying well it's my house when you get a house you can have the way you want and until then I want your room clean. So am I wrong for being pissed of or is she wrong? |
Question: What to do about a nagging mother? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:25 PM PDT Im 16 and my mother is always up my behind about everything. I clean the kitchen, bathroom, vacuum, wash dry and fold clothes. And babysit my two little sisters 4-5 Tims a week for 4-8 hours. I do all this everyday (if it has to be done everyday) yet she nags me about the smallest thing, if I don't clean out the microwave perfectly. Of if I'm not finished folding when she comes home. I need help becaue at this point even her voice is starting to piss me off. |
Question: My mom is money hungry am I wrong to say no? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:24 PM PDT My mom only calls me if she wants money. I'm tired of her always coming up short on bills. When I do send her money she uses half of it on things for herself. I told her that she needs to start paying back or else I won't send her anything else. She thinks I'm a witch and now she's mad at me bc I said I'll pay it online to the company. She's a con and I'm tired of her thinking she could take advantage of me. Am I wrong/selfish for acting like this? I can't save a dime without her sniffing around my money. She owes me 300 and I'm not giving her more. I can't spend my money on things because I'm too busy taking care of her. Sick of it. |
Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:24 PM PDT He's a bad influence on my little brother and I think he's doing drugs/selling them. At least to my sister. Should I stay quiet or tell my mom that I don't want her to get married |
Question: Eating disorder, power struggle...ideas? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:23 PM PDT I have a question for parents, therapists, doctors, etc that may have some experience with children that refuse to eat. My 12 year old step-son presents a situation that I am not sure how to handle...he refuses to eat anything that doesn't meet his specific standard, and even then will only eat very little of it. For example, he will eat a small amount of pasta, but only plain with a little butter...nothing else can touch it. If a drop of pasta sauce is near it, he will refuse to eat. Hamburgers are catsup only...that's it...if he thinks he sees a McDonalds dry onion piece, he throws it away. If you tell him to eat his food, he will literally refuse to and sit there all night refusing to open his mouth. My wife resorts to giving his 3-4 specific foods all of the time as it is all he will eat, and even then in very small portions (like 3 bites). If the family has something else for dinner, she has to make his own special plate of what he will eat. The one thing he does consume is chocolate milk, like a chain smoker smokes. I tell my wife that it's not healthy, but her stance is that if it's all that he is willing to put in his stomach then he can chain drink it is he wants. Her son is also very small and although he is 12, he looks like he is 8 years old. We just had a bone age test in which it came out at 9 years old...so his poor nutrition appears to be effecting his growth. Is there anyone out there with similar experiences or can provide some advice? |
Question: My vacation is RUINED because my parents are too cheap? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:17 PM PDT So I am currently in New York with my parents right now, and I am really miserable. We are staying at a random relative's house and I am enjoying the stay. Their cooking is horrible, their kids are stupid, and they are super loud and annoying. They have to DRIVE us to destination because my parents are too cheap for a taxi or a rental car. We visited some BULLSHIT destinations and it is NOT those attractions like the Statue of Liberty, Empire State, time square, or the rock. We HADN'T visited a SINGLE ATTRACTION because my parents are too cheap. Instead, we visited every stupid family's house. In the morning, we eat the the shitty breakfast food, go to a random mom's friends house, leave at noon, and go to another one's house. AND THE HOUSES WE VISISTED ARE ONLY ON LONG ISLAND. My mom is even too cheap to visit Manhattan. We only ate at McDonald's and subway WITH HER ******* COUPONS and hadn't ate a New York exclusive restaurant. I only have 2 days in this shitty vacations and my parents are not making it any better. Btw my parents earn 120k a year. |

Question: Is it weird not to wear a bra around the house? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:14 PM PDT I have 5 siblings, 3 of which are girls, so I didn't ever really think about it because it's always been cool between us. And today it's like 97 degrees so I decided not to wear a bra and have a tank top on. I'm only 14, so my "boobs" are barley even noticeable, well.. thats what I thought. When I came out of my room my 16 year old brother kept staring at me and asks "Are you wearing a bra?" And then goes "because you should because that tank top is very revealing." ? In my opinion I think it's a but silly since, it is just in my own home and no one seems to even care but idk? |
Question: I think that my mom doesn't love me like she loves my other siblings? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:07 PM PDT When my brother would be hitting me or doing something that hurt, I would yell until someone came down. If they didn't I would scream. My mom comes rushing down the stairs to yell at me. She says to stop screaming yet my brother is hurting me. I feel like she treats me differently compared to my brother and sister. I don't know what I did to make her not love me as much. |
Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:01 PM PDT I don't think my mother knows about it. I'm not sure if I should tell her. I don't want my sister and her friends to get in trouble. I don't care if my mom's boyfriend gets in trouble. What do I do |
Question: Why is my older brother always on my little brothers side, and vice versa? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 01:01 PM PDT I legit can't think of any argument I had with both my brothers that it wasn't them against me. It's so infuriating, And they are both so passive aggressive. I seriously cant wait to move out just to get away from them. I cant take it to my dad because then we all get in trouble, and nobody likes a snitch. Plus when dad does get pulled into it, he'll often later tell me that I was in the right, and the only reason I'm in trouble is because I didn't handle it properly or something like that. But the fact that I'm often right doesn't even matter to them. They will always back each other up. They think that because I get so angry at them so easily that it puts them in the right, but the only reason that I do get so angered so easily is because they are constantly pushing my buttons, to the point that it's super easy for them to. It's like dripping water on a rock one drop at a time. Where I'm the rock and they're the water. They have slowly been wearing me out for years, to the point that there's now a grove in the stone. I honestly can't stand them. Please, tell me why they do this. Thanks! |
Question: I had sex while pregnent, am I a grandma? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 12:50 PM PDT I think my unborn child is pregnant. I asked my friend, and he said I'm a moron. Wtf do my religion gotta do with this? When my daughter and grandchild are born, should I get them baptized as morons, or lent them choose their own religion? I am of the vegetarian faith, so I was thinking of baptizing them as that, because they should watch what they eat. |
Posted: 21 Jul 2016 12:47 PM PDT I m 15 (almost 16) and my new stepbrother is 12. We've both come from some pretty rough families and are finally happy that his mom and my dad are doing well. My dad had been in some lengthy relationships before so I'm used to younger step kids, (this isn't my first rodeo) and my own younger sister as well, but this new-- must I mention permanent --younger brother is the most difficult yet. We had a good start at first-- I asked him about himself/learned him by watching and listening, and I was accepting of the fact that he liked to talk more than listen. Then as the months went by he started pushing me a little. I established myself from the start as the 'older sibling' and he was good with it for a bit, but then he started telling me I can't tell him what to do and that he didn't feel like listening to me. He tells me that he knows a lot more than I do and that I have no idea how he works. I don't act mother-hen to him, I just do what I'm supposed to as far as watching out for him, and I understand if he feels like I 'don't get him'. I can deal with him to some point, but he gets overboard. He screams and fights with his mom about my authority and tries to tell both my and his little sister not to listen to me. He goes out of his way to turn things on me, put words in my mouth when I'm trying to solve things, and make fun of the things I like. I just don't know what to do. I've started being 'bad guy' and fighting back with him, but I know that's not how you deal with it. |
Question: How can I be more comfortable with my family? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 12:45 PM PDT Im 23. I'm a funny person and very chill and relaxed but whenever I get around my family (mainly my immediate family) I freeze up. I become tense and uptight & quiet. I never feel comfortable and they're the people I have the least in common with. I try to talk to them but I'm usually overlooked and ignored. I'm usually called weird or stuckup or bougie by my relatives. No matter what I do I can never bond with them. It's so weird! Over the years my relationship with other relatives (grandma/cousins) faded away. I literally never speak to anyone. My mom only calls if she needs money and my sister only calls to talk about how much she hates my mom & dad. I wanted to call my grandma for her birthday recently but I froze up because we NEVER talk anymore. It's like they're all strangers. I moved away to go to school my family is down south and I'm in New England. When I go home it's like being in a different country. I dont feel comfortable in the whole state of Texas! How can I fix this??? Keep in mind. We NEVER talk. I'm tired of the awkwardness. |
Question: Me and my brothers fought. Who was in the right? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 12:45 PM PDT So I was watching my younger brother play the ps4, and I was holding a rubber band. I aimed it at his shoulder but it went in the opposite direction. So I retrieved it and told him to close one of his eyes so that just in case it redirected I didn't hit him there. He got mad at me and started trying to take it away so I shot him in the shoulder. It stayed there and he clamped it down with his face so I couldn't get it. I grabbed the end of it and tried pulling it free, but then I let it go so that it would smack him in the face, he would move and I could get it. He got even madder because I "hit him" and it hurt. Btw I'm 16, he'll be 13 next month, so it's not like hes a little kid. I wouldn't have flicked my 8 year old cousin. My 17 YO older brother came in the room and asked what happened. We told him and he backed my little brother up. I pointed out that it's his own fault that he got hurt, and that if he hadn't clamped it down with his face and had just given the rubber band back that it never would've happened. He retorted "Doesn't mean you should've done it" I say back "Doesn't mean I shouldn't have. I don't see the big deal, it's not like he got hurt." Him: "Should I go rip up your posters then? You wouldn't get hurt" I tell him that the things aren't even comparable, because my little brother was physically fine, but the poster would be ruined. They both argue that it's completely comparable. I eventually just left the room. So who was right in this argument? I was only going to shoot him in the shoulder once. And he wasn't shirtless, so I doubt he would've felt it. The only reason he was hit in the face is because he clamped the rubber band down with his face. If he had put the game controller down and used his hand, it would've hit his hand instead. I wasnt gonna shoot him with it again. My argument is that they overreacted, because the rubber band didnt hurt him in the first place. It stung for one second and it was over. They both seemed to think that it was equivalent to punching him as hard as i could in the jaw. I have dermatographic urticaria which makes my skin mildly swell wherever it's irritated. When I was 13, I would flick my myself with rubber bands all over my arms so that for about 30-45 minutes it would look like I had cut myself and people would freak out. It was funny. I also did it on my face because it looked weird. Mine that day was thick, versus the small, flimsy, easily breakable one that I shot at his shoulder on his shirt. Truly, he had nothing to complain about, yet he freaked out. |

Question: Am I getting abused by my parents? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 12:12 PM PDT I would LOVE to write out a big explanation for all of this, but I think bullet points would be the best idea. Please help me, guys! Mom: 1. Calls me names. 2. Tells me to die. 3. Tells me sometimes she hopes I die. 4. Screams at me in public. 5. Used to hit me a lot when I was younger for getting wrong answers when we reviewed tests. (I was like 9 or younger) 6. Takes a lot of my money for herself. 7. Constantly very mad at me. 8. Tells me she is sorry but then starts being a ***** again two minutes later. 9. Makes me do stuff I GENUINELY don't want to do. 10. Dismissive of my feelings. 11. Constantly threatens me. 12. She stopped hitting me, but she still does call me awful names and do bad stuff that is not physical. 13. Seems to care more about her tv shows then me being happy. I would LOVE to write more, but I am pretty sure you can already get the picture. Dad: 1. Barley even knows me. 2. Basically hates me, even though my sister and mom keep telling me he doesn't. 3. Always prefers to give my sister money instead of me. 4. Always gives my sister a LOT of money and barely gives me. 5. Last time I traveled was four years ago, mainly cause of him. 6. I barely even know him. 7. Screams at me a lot. 8. Doesn't seem to care about my grades. 9. Doesn't even seem to know what grade I'm going to be in. Same thing as before, I think you can figure out the rest of the picture. Are they? |
Question: How can I convince my parents to reschedule my graduation barbecue? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 11:55 AM PDT About a month ago my dad told me that he might have my graduation barbecue on the 23rd, but ever since then he hasn't really mentioned it so I assumed it wasn't happening. I didn't even tell my friends about it. Then he just came into my room and said "you know you're barbecue is on Saturday right?" I honestly didn't even know it was going on, plus in my area they say it's going to be 97 degrees outside. Personally, I HATE the heat, and everyone is just going to stay inside the house next to the ONE area that we have that has AC. And I'm bummed out because I didn't invite any of my friends, and I believe it's too late to. They dislike the heat too, so most likely they wouldn't come. Usually barbecues with my family consists of me and my cousins just watching TV inside waiting for the food to be finished, listening to the same old reggae tunes, and playing on our phones. On top of all of this, my mom and I discovered a rat nest next to the area that has AC, the area that some people most likely would be sitting in. The whole thing is just a mess. I'd prefer next week since it's going to be cooler (80 degrees) plus I would have enough time to invite my friends. Advice? |

Posted: 21 Jul 2016 11:45 AM PDT My mom kicked my dad out of our house after he found out she was cheating (Originally me and my brother were told he abandoned us for another lady.) She made him pay child support but denied him visitation. Well just today she told me that she is going on vacation to the bahamas with her boyfriend (3rd one since dad left) and we are going to stay with our grandmother. I know she is spending the child support on her and her boyfriend because when I asked about it she said she hasn't gotten the check yet (though my dad said he sent it a week ago.) She doesnt even want to buy me or my brother new shoes or clothes |
Question: How long before cigarette smell disappears in average room with open windows? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 11:42 AM PDT Sometimes I smoke a cigarette or two in my bedroom and my mom - also a smoker - can't know so I open all of my three windows when I do. I only do it when I'm sure she's busy for an hour or longer so the smell has time to disappear. How long do you think it takes for the smell to be gone completely with open windows? Also, would she even notice the smell since she herself smokes regularly and is used to the odor? |
Question: Does my cousin like me? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 11:42 AM PDT Well he's not really my cousin but our families have always told us we are cousins even though we are not related by blood.....we are always joking with each other and he made a comment with sexual humor but then he told me that if i wasn't his cousin he would look at our conversations differently... and then another day he tells me that we are not really related that there is no blood connection?? what is he trying to say? |
Question: How do I get over my parents' divorce and my hatred for my witchy mother? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 11:36 AM PDT My parents are getting divorced after 35 years of marriage. My mother is abandoning my father and me because she is an entitled witch and thinks her 65 year old over-the-hill hag self deserves better than my father. This has left me distraught and I have been unable to focus at work and have gained weight from emotional binge eating. My mother claims that my father is no longer affectionate or romantic and never pays attention to her. But she doesn't even shave her nether regions or dye her hair or wear makeup anymore so why should my dad pay attention to her? She doesn't seem to realize a relationship is about compromise. She's just abandoning my dad after he stood by her faithfully for 35 years even though he had opportunities to cheat on her with younger hotter women. He is a good man. I feel so hurt by my mother's behavior and just cannot cope. What can i do? Therapy isn't working. |
Question: Why is my older brother trying to act better than me? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 11:23 AM PDT I'm 12 years old, my older brother is 16, we're home schooled and currently my older brother only studies math and that's because our parents force him to, he's in pre-algebra and I'm in algebra 1 also studying, physics, critical thinking, and code. But ever since last week he's been trying to act all cool and happy all of the sudden, and has been mocking me for not being happy, even though whenever I see him he's either in his bedroom naked for some reason or on the computer with no expression on his face, and always brings up problems I had in the past and says I need to stop them when he clearly has many problems of his own. Anyone have any advice on stopping him from being such a jerk? |
Question: My mom still thinks I'm lying? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 11:03 AM PDT Recently my mom thinks I got some candy from her boyfriends closet at night (I didn't) It's been 2 days and she still thinks I'm lying, telling me I'm the only who could've done and one thing she says that pisses me of is she says I'm horrible at lying.. I have no proof I didn't do it but I didn't so.. Someone please help. I hate being punished and blamed for something I didn't do :( Thank you to anyone who can help me |

Posted: 21 Jul 2016 10:59 AM PDT I grew up with a single mom who wasnt the nicest, she used to hate us but overall she raised us strict, she just beat us too much. My older sister was a controlling sensitive freak, she used to not leave me alone, always yell at me, fight me, bully me. I felt so alone many times, i couldnt reach out to anyone since i was sick as a teen, i had to lay in bed most of the time. My brother hated me for no reason and put my younger sister against me. I AM 24 now and still single, live at home, depressed and ready to die. I have no friends, never had a boyfriend, i feel like my life has been wasted... |
Question: How would you feel about getting this ? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 10:47 AM PDT I lost a close instructor of mine recently, lately I got in contact with his sister and we've talked a lot and have grieved together. We've bonded through the loss of him. I want to send her a jar of 101 notes, each holds a hand written quote I specially picked out. The quotes are filled of positive words, she can pick 1 or 2 daily incase her day isn't well. Do you think she'll like it? Or how would you feel receiving it? |

Posted: 21 Jul 2016 10:33 AM PDT So about 3 years ago when I was going through puberty. I had a pic of my gmas feet (I have a foot fetish) and started to masturbate to it along with normal stuff, idk if i finished to it or not, it was a really long time ago and it was weird to me, it was a one time thing, and I haven't even been close to tempted to do it again. I Know it's creepy and weird but I Havent been tempted since. Even 3 years later. I honestly didn't even think about it until now, should I tell my gpa? I mean I can't, but this random guilt, 3 years later, is killing me. |
Question: What would you do it your mother in law did this to your child? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 10:30 AM PDT Okay guys, when I was a born I was named Autumn Marie. My grandmother (on my dads side) didn't like that name and wanted my name to be April Nicole. After I was born, she refused to call me Autumn and would call me April (like, "come here April!") when my name was autumn. She told every one of her friends that her granddaughter April Nicole was born and it really pissed my parents off and my dad wouldn't even talk to her until she knocked it off. Would you say this is disrespectful? |

She doesn't have a car, and she recently divorced with her husband. She got remarried not even a year after the divorce. She also has a 27 year old sister that has two kids with no job, and still lives with be and her parents. Is this a bad thing? |
Question: My mom is divorcing my dad after 35 years. Why is she such an entitled witch? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 10:26 AM PDT She is divorcing my dad after 35 years of marriage and I am devastated. I've always thought women were entitled witches but I always had respect for my mother. I thought she was different. But it turns out she's just like all other women! She thinks she's too good for my dad and thinks she can do better but she doesn't realize she is an over-the-hill 65 year old hag and my father is a 67 year old distinguished gentleman who could have easily left her for a younger woman years ago but he stayed faithful to her. My mom complains that my father isn't affectionate anymore, doesn't pay attention to her anymore, and that she feels like they are strangers. But my father has been good to her for 35 years. What does she expect at this age?! She can't exactly expect so much from my dad anyway because she's let herself go in the looks department. She stopped dyeing her hair. She stopped wearing makeup. And unless she leaves the house, she spends her days in sweatpants. Why would my dad want to be romantic and affectionate to a woman who doesn't keep herself looking her best? Why are women so entitled? |
Question: I m such a dick I need to learn to take **** from people. do I have anger issues? Question: How do I go about adopting my nephew? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 10:11 AM PDT His mother (my older sister) has been in and out of his life ever since he turned 1 years old. She got pregnant when she was 15 years old. About a month ago she dropped my nephew off at my place and I haven't heard from her since. I don't know where she is but I've heard she is living with her boyfriend. His father wants to be a part of his life but he will be in jail for the next five years. I work as a home health aide and I share an apartment with my best friend. |
Question: Am I doing the Right Thing? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 10:01 AM PDT So I am 16 years old and dropped out of school at the end of this year. I live with my mom, brother, and stepdad. We are poor af. I'm talking 4 people living on 20k a year, no food in the house, and utilities are always geting turned off but I dont feel sorry for myself. Posted: 21 Jul 2016 09:51 AM PDT I asked this earlier and people thought I meant that my Dad had walked out on my mother with another woman but that was not at all the case. My Dad made financial mistakes and tried to keep my mother out of the loop on it so she divorced him. Now 6 years later he has remarried earlier this summer and my mother loves bad mouthing him. I have asked her not to but she does it less but still does it every couple of days and daily when vacationing. Her passion is hating him. It hurts me but she doesn't care. So besides wearing ear plugs the whole vacation which isn't possible how do I deal with her and her family talking trash about my Dad and his new wife in front of me? When I go home they can do it all they want but when I am there I am uncomfortable. Plus, my mother tries to convince my cousins I have no relationship with my Dad but I see my Dad weekly so that is an insane lie. By "Her and Her Family" I mean my mother and her family |
Question: What causes parents to be hypocrites and teach their children one way and do the other? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 09:47 AM PDT For example I was taught when fighting with my sister as a kid that the first to say sorry wins the fight. Yet as an adult I watch my mother in her feuds and she refuses to apologize to others (my father doesn't fight with others). |
Question: Will people judge me because of the bad behavior of my family members? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 09:45 AM PDT |
Posted: 21 Jul 2016 09:43 AM PDT This cousin I don't know well is in town in August visiting her mother. Is it weird if got in touch as she is a girl and I saw her last four years ago and as kids my aunt lived out of town so I didn't know her well. I have gotten to know the aunt and her son as they have lived local in recent years. The daughter I don't know well. |
Question: Is it illegal for a brother to hit his sister? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 09:36 AM PDT My brother is 12 and I'm 14, and him being younger doesn't mean a thing. When I "annoy him" (I can literally be sitting in his room or trying to talk to him and he will say I'm being annoying.) or things don't go his way, he will hit me. I'm not talking about any sissy slaps, literally full on punches. Usually my head or arms (mostly my head). Sometimes he will even kick me in my stomach. Earlier today I was trying to wake him up but he kicked me in the side of my knee and dug his nails into my arm. If he loses in a game or I do/say anything he doesn't like he'll start to punch me and if I punch or hit him back (as self defense to buy me some time to lock myself in my room, which usually doesn't work) it just makes him more angry and he will continue to hit me. The most damage he has ever done was pain for about 30 minutes but if he punches me in the head I get a severe headache. I tell my mom but she usually doesn't do anything except tell me to stop bothering him or go into his room and tell him not to it again (like that will ever stop him). My dad doesn't try to stop it either. One time my brother got mad so he started to throw his little fit because I beat him in a game so he started to punch me and my dad didn't do anything until I pushed him back and he fell. I was the one who go in trouble. I played a prank on him and put lipstick on him while he was sleeping.. LIPSTICK! He ran into my room and started to punch me..of course I got in trouble for a harmless prank. It's never bad enough to leave bruises since my skin doesn't bruise easily. But it still hurts a lot. |
Question: What does it mean if your best friend ask if you are single? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 09:23 AM PDT So i was talking to this girl. She is my best friend for the past 7 years. I move to the US and she still stay back in my old country. We were chatting online and she ask me if i have a gf . Then i said no, and i ask her if she has a boyfriend. She stutter then she said yes but not that close to him. Why did she ask me this? I kinda like her personality, will she like me too? |
Question: I think my sister's "friends" robbed her...what to do? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 09:13 AM PDT My little sister works at McDonald's and her coworkers are all related. The manager is our aunt by marriage & all of the employees are her cousins. We're not close to her family. They're all just trouble. I told my sister to keep her distance from them but She didn't listen. They invited her to a party & she went. They all got drunk & my sis is 21 but only 5'0 & 90lbs. She ended up passing out quickly. When she woke up her phone & money were missing. She says that they claim they were robbed too. Knowing this group if someone stole a dollar from them they would raise hell! They were too calm and they knew everyone at this party. It was more of a get together. I KNOW they weren't robbed. I feel like my sister was setup. She wants me to just leave it alone but Its killing me. These animals are so cocky & annoying. They know that I don't like them & they never try anything with me because I'm not petite or naive like my sister. I just wish she'd let me take care of this. Her plan is to pretend it never happened while going to work with these big beasts everyday. Should I listen to my sister and pretend it never happened? Or should I confront these girls? Keep in mind I was the one who had to pay my sisters rent this month & buy her a new phone because of this incident so yeah im a little Angry. I always tell her to stop carrying all of her money on her at once but she just doesn't listen. |

Question: The problems with my family, any advice? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 08:33 AM PDT My family always don't respect my decisions, my thoughts, and my will. Everytime I say I don't want something, they just say you can't do that, you have to change blah blah blah. I'm not talking about big things, even small things like eat a cookie, ask somebody something, they just think I'm a loser and lazy. Which is very annoying because even my sister insult me. The problem is always there, they never seem like to understand. Everytime I was in a good relationship with my family, it just won't last long. Especially my dad. He always trying to find something to insult me or scold me. I just don't understand that why he don't want peace. It's like when everything is just fine, I was playing games, and he look at the surroundings and he just started to be angry and he told me: you are always playing games! you are hurting your body blah blah blah, why don't you ever do the housework?? this home needs to be cleaned up!! Why you always at home?? You are losing control!! See? He always turn little things into disaster. And I'm always confused, playing computer games for 3 to 5 hours is pretty normal for me, of course I would take a few breaks between the game play. And they think 2 hours for me is maximum. Anyone who ever played computer games know that this is not enough. I don't know how to deal with these problems, everytime time I talk these problems with my parents they just won't listen, especially my dad. The situation is not getting worst, but it's there. |
Question: Help!!!!!!! How do I convince my mother to let me get my eyebrows done? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 08:10 AM PDT I'm 16 years old and I have a unibrow. I hate it. I've told my mother I want to get them done but her excuse is that I'm, 'too young.' I'm sick of it and I don't feel like I'm too young, and it is affecting my self-esteem. She asks me why I don't go to the cinema or out with my friends and I always say I don't feel like it (and she knows the reason ) but I just feel so insecure. They're disgusting. How on Earth do I convince her to get them done? |

Question: Should I change counselors ? Help please? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 06:50 AM PDT A day ago I had went to a evaluation appointment. It was one of two where I basically needed to physically come in and sign papers. When I first entered the building after some confusion regarding its location, a young man sitting at a desk greeted me. He was professional in the later, however when I first walked in the office I noticed him size me up with his eyes in this weird way. After signing papers and taking a trip to the restroom, I stood before him and discussed my insurance and doctors address. While doing so, I noticed a man walking towards us, he was staring at the back of my head. He walked around yhe desk of the young man and asked him mundane things. As the young man began talking to me again the other man continued to stand there and stare at me, even though my mom was standing with us and I'm sure he knew that we were together. I honestly thought that he came over to help out but he stood there for a good seventy seconds. I just felt creeped out. I'm scheduled to go back for the second evaluation appointment in a few days but am anxious. I'm of legal age, btw |
Question: How can I convince my parents to reschedule my graduation barbecue? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 06:40 AM PDT About a month ago my dad told me that he might have my graduation barbecue on the 23rd, but ever since then he hasn't really mentioned it so I assumed it wasn't happening. Advice? |
Question: Parents are forcing me to go on vacation? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 06:37 AM PDT hi, I'm an 18 year old college student and we have a beach house at the shore. we usually rent it to family most the summer. well, I just literally just got hired for a very good job for my age ($12/hour at target) and start next week. well in August we go to our vacation house, but I don't think it's right of me to take off of work for an entire week since I literally just started. My mom and dad refuse to leave the house to me alone, though I'm very responsible and would take care of things. I'm pretty sure it's because they don't want my boyfriend staying over (which he wouldn't, I'm not "rebellious") but at this point I'm also an adult and I find it ridiculous that my mom isn't more understanding that I can't take off because of my new job. |
Posted: 21 Jul 2016 06:28 AM PDT im turning 15 in October and my siblings school starts 15 minutes later than mine and mine is 20 minutes farther away than theirs is. my moms work is about 20 minutes away from my school so we would have to leave the house really early if she were going to be on time and my step dad take s my siblings to school. would I be eligible for a hardship also I am looking into getting a job as well as soon as possible before the end of the year |
Question: Why is my department leader so rude to me? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 06:21 AM PDT She's a chain smoker, 4 foot 4 and is in here late 60s. She treats me like dirt, she tells me off for minor mistakes that every other colleague makes but she takes all her anger out on me. For instance, she accuses me of not separating refrigerated raw meat with dairy products like milk and cheese etc. The reality is, is that I do. Now sometimes I make mistakes but when I do she shouts at me. However a lot of other people in my department don't bother doing at all and she never tells them off only me. I probably get more things right than them but I get all the blame. She also rages at me for not writing down the time in which the chilled product was placed in the basket. Not many people do it either but when I forget to she rages at me. Quite a lot of double standards here. I've spoke with the manager, he said he will speak with her. She shut up for two weeks but when the manager was on holiday she was back to being a pain in the ***. |
Question: Am I setting myself up? Posted: 21 Jul 2016 06:14 AM PDT I had been seeing a 46 year old woman for about 5 months that I like and the sex is good but she's not someone I want to be in a relationship with. However, about 2 months ago I met another woman who just turned 40 and she seems to be a bit more my type for a relationship. She told me that she knows the 46 year old woman I'm seeing because the 46 year old has been sleeping with her cousin. She told me that she's uncomfortable with the situation if I continue to see this woman. It's too close for her. I told her that I wasn't seeing the 46 year old anymore. However, the 40 year old cousin told her where this woman lived and she caught me leaving there over weekend. She confronted the 46 year old and told her that we were dating. I didn't know what to say but surprisingly they both still want to keep seeing me. The 40 year old wants a serious relationship and I want her to be exclusive with me. I also want to occasionally see the 46 year old. She calls everyday and I do still like her. Am I setting myself up and what should I do now? |

Posted: 21 Jul 2016 05:46 AM PDT My friend told me that she is scared her mums suffers from alcoholism and drug abuse and her dad suffers from drug abuse as well. She told me that her dad used to beat up her mum when she was younger until recently and she's watched this from as young as she can remember. Her parents are still together. I don't know what to say to help? She told me not to tell anyone but I don't know what to do? She's 22. She doesn't want to leave home because she's too scared of what they'll do to themselves, especially her mother as she's an alcoholic. What should I say? |
Posted: 21 Jul 2016 05:42 AM PDT We have both recently moved back home to live with our parents. I love my whole family to bits but I m finding it difficult to readjust to living with my sister. We share a bedroom and she is the messiest person I know, so there is basically no room for any of my things, and her stuff is just all over the floor. I m still looking for a job so spend most of my day cleaning around the house while my parents are at work and job searching and preparing for interviews etc. But every time I clean it takes about half an hour for her to make the rooms untidy or dirty again. I keep losing my temper over it and I don t want to. Arguing with her makes me feel awful because I do love her but it s just grating on me now :( Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thank you |
