Question: What sand colors mix well together and how should we mix them? Posted: 27 Jul 2016 10:06 PM PDT My mom is having a second wedding and wants to have a family unity ceremony. The plan is to have separate sands that is poured into an hourglass. The groom has two kids and my mom has three. Should we have each side have two separate colors that are then poured to make one color or each member has a different color? Does this make any sense? |
Question: How much $$$ to put in a wedding card? Posted: 27 Jul 2016 09:53 PM PDT My boyfriend is standing up in a wedding and asked me to go as his date. I have never met the bride or groom. This is the bride s first wedding, the groom s second. How much $$$ should I put in the card? |
Question: Good wedding gift ideas? Posted: 27 Jul 2016 08:25 PM PDT My boyfriend and I care very much for elderly people and think their brains need to be protected from terrible old people afflictions. We want our guests at our wedding to donate money to an experimental cow brain program in which a tiny portion of cow brains are placed into elderly people to help grow new brain cells. Is it rude to ask our guests to donate to this? Thanks! |

Question: How much to pay my officiant? Posted: 27 Jul 2016 07:11 PM PDT We are going to ask a member of my church to officiate the wedding. He isn't doing any premarital counseling, and is invited to the reception afterward. I'm just not sure how much I should pay him? We're making donations to the church for the actual church and fellowship hall. |

Question: Having father/daughter dance but no mother/groom dance? Posted: 27 Jul 2016 01:47 PM PDT I'm getting married in 4 weeks and I am so excited to have the father/daughter dance with my dad since it's just been me and him my whole life and we are so close. My fiance and his mom are both really shy (it's all I can do to get him to dance with me for our first dance) and she doesn't want to dance at all. Will it look tacky or distasteful if I go ahead with the father/daughter dance but skip out on the mother/groom dance? |
Question: Help with anniversary gift? Posted: 27 Jul 2016 12:54 PM PDT This isn't a question about what to get her but, how the format of my gift should be. I am going to get us a book, where we write down our most memorable moments from the previous year, as well as spot for our photos of the year. We will come back to it every anniversary and add to it. Should the format be - we both write down our favorite moments, or - we come together and write down our favorite moments? |

Question: Will somebody please educate me about Bachelor parties?? Posted: 27 Jul 2016 12:28 AM PDT I know it is basically a party for the groom to celebrate his last day of freedom BUT I am a little curious about what happens at those parties? All I know is my boyfriend is going to one, and to my knowledge there will be LOTS strippers and alcohol. I would totally let him go of course, its his bestfriends party!! but I admit I am a tiny bit concerned and curious about what will happen???? lol |
