We don't have the best relationship. Growing up he & my mother never got along, I think the only reason I wasn't aborted is Jesus. I like to think I am a sweet kind person. I'm nowhere near competitive at all because we all have our own lives to live why compete. I hate being mean but of course to some I am. My cousin, sister, and I are all set to graduate together just different schools. My sister wants to be a teacher which makes my cousin super mad for some odd reason. My cousin is going to be a funeral director in May when she graduates and I plan on being a PA but still have to get my masters. My cousin is mad because I'm doing my masters. She will have plenty of money saved up, her mom and dad are paying back her student loans for her and she doesn't have to worry about anything other then rent and bills that's it. I am 18 and still in highschool while my sister is 19 and still lives with our parents. This forces us in having to share a room, which honestly I am fine with because we have done that our whole childhood. However, recently she has been very mean to me for no reason. Most of the time we sit in complete silence, she would on her labtop and I will be doing something else and so I would try to start a conversation with her. But whenever I try to she always has to argue with me or try to put me down. For example one time I tried to tell her a personal story and she got up in the middle of it and told my mom I was being annoying and talking to myself. I would never do that to her! Another thing is that she is very negative and likes to complain a lot to me, which is fine because I understand she is just trying to relieve stress but sometimes she goes to far and I try to give her feedback but she says that I should mind my own business and that I am not perfect. Like I don't already know that. Whenever I am excited about something I like to tell her but she instantly gets angry and tells me to stop being arrogant and only thinking about myself. No money to move out. -go out with friends/bf approx. 2-3x/wk. -dad has had multiple conversations with me expressing his disappointment with my behavior (i.e. going out, coming home late) -so now I don't sleep over anyones house, I come back home no later than 11:30p.m, I tell him where I am going and with whom I am going, I sometimes send him pictures of where I am and what I am doing -He is still upset and says I don't care about my life and that I am living in denial and I haven't taken any of our discussions seriously. *I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I've compromised a lot and I am trying to appease him, but it is becoming more clear that he would rather be happier if I stay home all day and not go out at all. Am I in the wrong here? My adoptive mom was borderline abusive to me as a kid. She would talk nasty about my deceased bio mother, make me chase the car down a busy street, call me names, make fun of me for being abused, etc. My son says that she left him alone one day while he was visiting and made him chase the car. I have watched her slap or hit my kids in an abusive way. I confronted her about it and she tried to accuse us of doing that. She has told him she wants him dead, etc. Again, she accused my son of being a liar and accused me as well. She also runs and tells her mother (just as crazy) that we "lied on her" and gets her mother to call and chew me out. My son swears up and down that his grandma treats him this way (bad) but she denies it and says she "resents" him for saying this. Who do I believe, a middle school aged child or my adoptive mom who I know treated me this way as a child? She always cries and or projects when you confront her about something. She claims everyone else is doing whatever you accuse her of, but never her. She tells him that she is his bio grandmother. not any of his bio grandmothers.

My Dad is always shouting at my brother and saying how much he hates him. He gets angry at him for the littlest things and he's threatened to beat him up and throw his things out of the window. My Mum always manages to stop him but the way my Dad acts makes me really annoyed and I'm sad for my brother as he's been bullied a lot at school that past couple of years and I don't know why my Dad does it. I don't think my Dad has any mental problems although he does have OCD. My Dad hated his parents growing up so is that why he's taking it out on my brother? I usually ignore her but she just keeps doing things until I say or do something. I usually don't give in. But it's super annoying. Hi everyone! A few weeks ago I bought my family a trip to the Bahamas, but my daughter Charlotte threw a fit because she doesn't want to go. She told me she'd much rather go to Tahiti or Cabo. She also said she would not be going unless she brought two of her friends I feel like such a bad mother for upsetting my daughter by messing up the vacation destination and not booking enough rooms for her friends. Being that she's 17, I want to make sure she's always happy so we keep a good bond. I don't know anything about Tahiti or Cabo, so I need some advice on both places. I'll have to choose one of those and make sure I pay the extra money so her friends can come. Or, I'll just have to be the worst mother of the year and force her to go to the Bahamas without her friends. Also, my husband really wants to go to the Bahamas and he resents me already and has since 1999 for having Charlotte. I don't want him to divorce me (he pays the bills) so should I just book all 3 to keep my sweet Charlotte and my husband Preston happy? PLEASE help me with this!! I need to plan a trip as soon as possible.

I just want to share something with you guys. I just want to vent it all out here. I'm from the Philippines and we moved here in the US three years ago. My dad used to work in Singapore. He's an engineer. The company he worked at needed some people to work on their other branch here in Texas and that's the reason why we got here. We experienced culture shock when we got here in the US but we overcame it as time went by. We have met new friends and we're now used to the environment, the people, and everything. We enjoy living here in Texas. We love the weather and the people especially our neighbors because they've been so good to us since we moved here. They welcomed us and treat us like they have known us for so long. My sister and I goes to a local community college and we're graduating this fall and my younger brother is gonna be a sophomore this fall. We've never thought we're gonna be able to live in the US but we're experiencing a very big problem right now. Few days ago my dad told my mom that his boss told him that we can't get a visa extension anymore. We were planning to apply for an extension for five or six more years but the company can't do that because of the management. I'm not gonna tell the company's name for privacy purposes. I'm just gonna give some random names. Let's just call it the GHI Company. So my dad works at GHI company. It used to be DEF and the original company was ABC. DEF bought ABC and GHI bought DEF. When me came here in the US, ABC was still the company. My dad applied for a visa extension and they told him they'r gonna process it. After a few months, DEF bought the ABC company so you know what happens. Our papers got passed on to the new management and they said the same thing to my dad. They said they're gonna process it. After one year, GHI bought DEF and the same thing happened then few days ago my dad's boss told him that we can't apply for an extension anymore because the management is f*cked up! As soon as my dad heard everything his boss had told him, he was devastated. He told my mom and my mom cried and she told us too. Now everybody in the house including me feel so sad and depressed because we're already used to place and everything. I'm gonna miss everything especially when we leave to the Philippines I'm gonna miss all the good memories here in the US especially my 10 year old neighbor. This may sound weird to you guys but I always play basketball with her like everyday. She's so active. She likes playing sports and you know what I'm gonna miss so much when we leave to the Philippines is when she rings the doorbell and asks if I want to play with her. She always do that. She's like "Can we play? Please?" She's like my baby sister and she always tell stories even when I don't ask her to. Is this what you call separation anxiety? I feel hurt when I think of leaving my friends and neighbors. Right now I'm shaking while writing this. I feel like my heart will explode anytime soon due to severe depression. Why does this have to happen to us? :( I hope you guys read this and tell me what you think of everything I said. I'm sorry my English is bad. Thank you guys! I just want to vent it all out here. I read a story about a boy who was kidnapped around the age of 4 or 5 and was found when he was 16 or 17 and trying to apply to college. They arrested his "dad"/kidnapper and the kid was sent to live with the birth parents. I've also seen a few movies, and shows (like finding carter). I know that it is wrong to kidnap, but the kids still see them as their parents.. I would imagine it being just as traumatizing being taken from your mom or dad, told they kidnapped you and then having to live with strangers.. Opinions? Let's say you found out your mom or dad kidnapped you as a child, and they were caught and sent to jail, would you be upset with them? Keep in contact?

We're having a big family reunion in my dad needs help picking up people at the airport. There are three different flights coming in. One of them is my brother and his family he has one infant and the toddler. I just got a new car and I don't have a car seat and I don't want to car seat in my car. Plus those kids are wild. My dad needs help with rides and I kinda hinted that I only want to take the adults. I don't look forward to being in the car with a screaming baby puking all over my leather seats. Who is picking up who is still up in the air but like I said I would rather pick up just the adults LOL. Is this wrong of me?

Since my mother doesn't get along with family well I often missed out growing up on family activities. I join in more now but major holidays my mother travels and I am expected to go with her (people found it odd when I did not one year). So I don't see my cousins on my mother's side s often as they see each other. The cousins like me enough but they aren't as close to me as those they traveled with as kids and did stuff with (my mother never traveled with the family and so I didn't and seldom did holidays with them). So while no one dislikes me they overlook me through no fault of their own (tradition is I am in the less involved group). I do set up something at the holidays each year now. So how do I get over the pain of being a 2nd tier cousin on my mother's side of the family? @g-----I am but how do I reach out in a way that shows I am interested as in the past I am thought of as 2nd tier due to my mother. I am not disliked but just little known.

My parents got divorced when I was 12. afterwards I always hated staying with him half the time. He's an alcoholic. All he really does is sit and watch tv and drink all day. When I turned 18 and got a car, I stopped spending the night there. I visited every few days just to sit and be ignored. Also, he purposely says things that hurt me the whole time I'm with him and tries to guilt me into staying there more. He's also a bigot, sexist, and extremely racist. I've cut all the other toxic people out of my life. He's the reason I'm not happy. The only reason I still go there is to feed my bird. And really that's the only reason I haven't cut him out is because I can't bring my bird to my moms. I don't know if I should just do it and give my bird away, or just give up my happiness to make him happy.

I am 34 weeks pregnant, my husband is military so he is stationed 1,500 miles away from both of our families. We are stationed in New Mexico, and both of our families are in Florida(huge difference!) I was just home for 3 weeks for my baby shower & to see my family. I just got home yesterday and I was so happy to see my husband, I just feel extremely upset & depressed to be so far away from my mom, dad, and 2 younger brothers, grandma, etc. My mom is my absolute best friend and I love being able to be there doing everything with her. I am so upset I am making myself sick. It's hard for me because I don't want to keep telling my husband because I don't want to make him feel like I don't want to be here with him, because if I didn't I would not have come back, I love him to death and we have a baby coming in around 6 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? Or have any suggestions to help me cope, anything I do I just keep thinking about it. Nothing is helping.

It's been over a year and since he never goes to bed until 5 in the morning, he makes noise around the house ALL NIGHT and it keeps me up ALL NIGHT. It used to be a problem on some nights but now it's on almost every night especially when I have something important the next day. He hammers, slams doors, stomps around, and does things that who the **** would be doing at 3 in the morning??? It's so bad I haven't even grown in the past year and I'm shorter than my friends. I have bags under my eyes and look ugly af in the morning, etc. By now I probably have told him LITERALLY HUNDREDS of times to STOP but it's like as if he wants to disturb my sleep. What am I supposed to do?? We live in a very small house and there's no where else to sleep. I'm at my wits end, exhausted, and it's completely ridiculous!!!

Okay so in currently rotating between my mom and my dads house. I rotate weekly. Every week I m at my dads I absolutely miserable. I hate living there and me and his wife do not get along. No wonder my bf wont have sex with me anymore. And look at how gross and droopy my breasts look? Negative of me and seems ashamed of me. Despite of what i do. Doesn't seem concern about me. If i try and talk to him he doesn't want to talk. I deal with depression and anxiety. I try and be happy but negativity doesn't help anything. I don't want to hate my dad, i care about him it just seems he hates me. He left family at a point, and if i say something about that i'm the bad person. It just seems he doesn't want me as his son. We use to could talk sometimes, but he just seems to hate me.

I am currently 18 years old, and I live with my mother. Lately things have gotten severe, to the point where I find myself breaking down at least 3 times a week. I m the only child she has and she has horrible separation anxiety. She constantly tells me that she doesn t want me to grow up and get on with my life, but then turns around and tells me that I need to grow up. I was taken out of school at 16 and I rarely get out of my home now, maybe 5 times a month. She always tells me that I m more trouble than I m worth. I constantly stay stressed and don t feel good enough. She had two miscarriages and she blames me for them both, and lately has been telling me that she wants me to have a baby so that she can take care of it. I really don t know what to do anymore. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Ok so my mum is so short tempered its annoying. She'd come home everyday shouting at us and she and my siblings are always fighting. They ALWAYS quarrel about (smth confidential). Theres never one day they do not fight. And im the youngest so all i can do is sit at the side hoping they would stop. Ive told them SO FKN MANY TIMES that its so tiring to see them fighting all the time. They cant chat peacefully as it will just end up as a quarrel. Im getting sick of this what should i do??? its not even a family anymore. Im getting so so so so so irritated i feel like chopping off their mouth when they start fighting again.

My family is ALWAYS fighting! I'm the youngest so i have no rights to stop them, everytime my mum is home, she would raise her voice at everyone in the house. It's so annoying. Even when i had a long day at school and am very tired, she would still yell and yell and yell at us. They're always fighting about (confidential) matters AND THEY CANT CALM THE **** DOWN! My mum is so short tempered is getting out of hand, whatever we do is wrong and she doesnt clarify! Instead, she would scold us etc. i've talked to her about how tired im getting of coming home to see them fight, yell all day long. There's never a day that they just dont argue. It's become a routine. What should i dooo????? Im so sick of them and when i try to do my homework, all i can hear is them fighting. It is so annoying!!!! Why cant they just stop................

My brother is 24 years off age throws a tantrum when nothing goes his way, to where he'll start throwing furniture to the point where we have to take the kids outside to the park and then get the police involved and they're telling him if they get another call about him they are just going to take them to jail for disturbing the peace because the neighbors are also complaining about the noise he is causing, and my grandmother can't keep dealing with this because he's mad at her because he's jealous of everything other people has and he doesn't, like for example I brought a some converses for 19.99 and he's getting jealous because he wants it, but my grandmother had bills and a mortgage to pay and he just doesn't care also he was to go to Miami so since my grandmother works at the airport she can put him on a plane for free, but now he's showing her hotels that's $300.00 a night for 5 nights because that how long he want to stay out there, now this isn't for business or anything it's just that he's jealous because I been to Las Vegas with some friends on my birthday and so he thinks he's entitled to do the exact same thing I did and my grandmother told him too if I was to jump off a building he'll probably want to jump off the building as well, but also I forgot to add is he doesn't work and isn't even trying to work but let he don't mind picking out $1,000 to $10,000 jeans, belts, shoes, hats, etc...... An get mad when he can't get it. Please help guys, thank you. :)

She's an annoying ****. all she does is drink and steal MY money that I've saved up Myself for college!! She stole 400 dollars from me cause she cant pay her own damn cell phone bill. I can't wait to move out in a month. How do I tough it out until then..? Even my boyfriend has noticed how rude she is to me. ever since I turned 18 6 months ago, she is a straight up ****

Long story short my dads been in the hospital a few times recently and was hoping he could just die already. Don't judge me because you don't know me or my situation. My dad is fat, out of shape, and I think almost 70 (I'm only 17). He has a weird twitch when he gets angry so I was hoping if I could get him angry enough (not hard to do me being around gets him pissed) maybe he could just have a heart attack or something. Any ideas that don't involve murder or me being in legal trouble are welcome.
