I want to come over with my best friend down the shore, but I know my step-dad will say no. I'm even afraid to ask him without him throwing a fit. He says no to almost everything I ask him. He is never open minded and never admits he is wrong about something. My mom always says to not ask him about something because "he is in a bad mood", but doesn't give a **** if i am. He will say yes once in a while but mostly no.

Hes 4 and everytime im smiling and happy and say 'lets go outside and play' or 'were gonna go watch a movie its your favorite' or anything else thats 'fun' he acts upset and says 'nooo' and runs off to another room or away from me, i have to go ask if hes ok' and hug him then he says smiling 'let me go' then I have to pick him up smiling cause he wont walk. I feel like hes spoiled with too much attention...?

I'm really heart broken right now!!! I stood up late last night and woke up late getting a call from my grandpa saying he needs me to help him move some stuff and noticing my keys were missing!! So I look for them and couldn't find them, then I asked my dad where the keys at and he said he had to sell it!!!!! We got in a huge argument and he said he had to sell it because we were broke and I'm 17 so i know theres nothing I can do as a minor .It was a 2002 Ford F-250 that my aunt and uncle bought me when I got my license and it was in THEIR name bc they payed for it and I haven't told them yet and I'm scared what's gonna happen?? I'm so heartbroken and that Was my dream truck for years!! My dad said he's gonna try to get me a new car but I want NOTHING from him and if he gets me on behind my back I will rev the engine until it blows and bleeds oil and leave it there for someelse to take care of! What should I do??? How can I appoach my aunt and uncle about this?? my aunt and uncle payed 15k for it and they were the ones that OFFERED it to me and my dad has been pawning and selling things for over 7 years!! My aunt did know about that. Btw my dad said he sold it to a friend of his. Is there a way i can get it back? He sold it when I was still asleep!! 😒😡 My AUNT and UNCLE were the only ones that payed for it!! My dad did it behind their back

I a few months ago she let one of her friends move in with his because he was tired of living with his sister. Maybe a month or two after he moved in his daughter and her boyfriend moved in. They were cool when they first moved in but now him and his daughter is just being jerks. (don't want to get into specifics) Basically yesterday turned into a big fight, he got mad over some stupid **** my 11-year-old brother did, my mom told him she didn't like how he was acting, his daughter made fun of my mom's divorce, I called her a **** and joked about her boyfriend cheating on her, now they are fighting, and now my mom wants them gone. The problem is is that they are receiving mail at our house, so we can't just kick them out. My mom was told she had to give them an eviction notice before she can kick them out. Is this correct? The reason I ask is because I am worried about them breaking and stealing stuff. Someone has already poured oil on the keyboard of the computer in the living room, and one of our xbox controllers magically disappeared this morning. I am just worried about them stealing stuff and/or trying to hurt either one of us or one of our pets (They have all expressed their dislike towards our dogs and cats, as well as my pet rats) and it just makes me worry. My mom has told me to record anything she says to me or my brother while she is not home and to call 911 if one of them does anything to warrant it. Sorry for the rant. Just really need to get it off my chest. tl;dr- How should my mom go about kicking her roommate and his daughter and her boyfriend out if they are all receiving mail at our address. She was told she needs to serve them an eviction notice and that is what she is planning to do. I just want to know what this entails and if this is correct for her to do or not.

I HATE MY MOM. She is so emotionally abusive towards me. She yells at me for things I did not do, I have severe depression, even though i havent gone to a doctor for it but i can tell i have it, but she tells me that I have no reason to be depressed and that I'm faking it???? She is one of the reasons I want to kill myself. I can't stand being here. She turns things into an argument, and when i CALMY try to defend myself she goes off calling me disrespectful and annoying. I want to live with my father so bad. He never yells at me like she does. He is usually gone, he works at a construction company and is also a part transporter. But, I'm 17. I m pretty close to my step brother, and my other step brother I had in my life for two years was ADHD too (although we got in many arguments) He s 8, and I m 12, and sometimes I cannot stand him. I can handle him being hyper, but I can t stand the way he talks sometimes. He can be so rude to my mom, and she just takes it. His father doesn t do anything either. And sometimes he talks rude to me, too. And all I want is an apology. One time I used sarcasm (thank you for helping me making the couch) and he replied with "thank you" instead of sorry. He was being rude to me and my mom just now, and she took it without saying anything, and he didn t say sorry to either of us. Since I was taught to always be respectful, and basically do the opposite of what he does, it makes e extremely frustrated that he acts the way he does. We have to share a room together, btw. I have a young 8 year old sister. (In her mind - she's nearly at the end of highschool, since I am.) Keep in mind my mother recently got surgery, and my sister does not respect that. She'll go onto calling her names and get amusement out of watching her suffer in bed. And saying things like, "they should have killed you." Although i did next to nothing to her, she is quite jealous. I did not notice it, it was several family members and friends to point it out to me. Always giving me long admiring stares, attempts to dress like me, carries purses, etc. This has processed and has got out of control. To get "revenge" on something I supposedly did, she'll take my expensive makeup, clothes (that don't even fit her), EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE RINGS and perfumes/lotions. She'll then go on and hide them in her closet.And most of them are never found. She makes it a cycle at 5:00 in the morning to come and take it when my mom and I are sleeping. She's even threatened to kill me, and I will occasionally get deep-scratches and wounds from her. She'll even point large things at me such as baseball bats but never bring herself to actually do anything. I'm yet to do anything in return - which is why I am asking for advice. She has been tested for mental disorders, SEVERAL TIMES. She has spoken to counselors before, etc. They all state that nothing is wrong with her emotionally or physically.

Question: As an adult living on my own, What are polite but dismissive ways to respond when my mother objects to where I am going or who I am seeing?

When my mother objects to stuff like that I am going to a party with my cousins on my Dad's side of the family instead of her uncle's 80th birthday in Wisconsin then how do I respond to diffuse the situation? I am 31 so obviously I can do as I wish but my mother will not be happy with my decision as she is divorced from my Dad and sees me as favoring his family. My two kids are normal. Both are adopted and one was born drug addicted so was harder as a baby but is normal now. However, they are not perfect. My brother's kid is your dream perfect child for some reason, almost to the point that it is weird. My other brother's kids are a mess due to divorced parents issues. So when my mother mentions mine as "in the middle" how do I get her to see them with the same respect as the perfect one of my brothers? I fear she will think one day they are as bad as my other brother's older teen kids.

Her other man has been with her and I give a handshake but nothing more as it was a particularly tragic divorce for the family and this man's involvement likely caused it (of course I could be wrong). However, I am close to my cousin's who saw him as a step-Dad and they love their mother so I wondered as a gesture of forgiveness do I send a condolence card or would that be like excusing her infidelity? So, my mum started smoking a lot recently ( i mean, she was a smoker already but now she does that a lot lot more) and what gets me really angry is the fact of my dad not doing anything! When I was between 10 and 17. He spat on me, he has beaten me, he slapped me in the face, he insulted me, humiliated me in front of neighbors, mocked me, laughed at me, all of those for MULTIPLE uncountable times. I never got the LEAST affection from him, NEVER. He bought enough food all the time for all of us at home. We always ate well and we still do. He humiliated me so much that now I've got a VERY low self esteem, I have no friends at all, no girlfriend, I'm always sad, angry, wanting revenge, I'm always like I have a big hole in my heart. Note that he NEVER ever made any apologies or whatsoever because he's sort of 'too proud and too manly to do it.' I wanna show this bastard what's manly me too. What can I do? I never talk to him already. My mother says I should talk to him because he supposedly 'always brought food.' They say in the Internet that when a boy doesn't get any father affection or worse (getting rejected). He turns to seek affection when he grows up from males. That's what's happening to me, I'm attracted sexually and emotionally to males. I'm 22 years old. Still living with my parents because I have no choice. I'm at the university. I am almost 14 years old and my mom used to call me swear words all the time, and she even stuck up her middle finger at me in front of my best friend. But now she just grounds me for stupid things. Literally 2 days ago, we went out to eat, and then I got dragged into the store for 3.5 hours. I pointed out whenever we left the house this summer it ends in a 3 hour trip to the store and she says "IT JUST WORKS OUT THAT WAY." Then the next day, she told me to clean a wall, and I said "Okay but the dogs need to be cleaned." So my mom responds "IF IT BOTHERS YOU SO MUCH WHY DON'T YOU CLEAN THEM?" They haven't been cleaned in 1.5 months, and I asked her how she would feel if I said that to her, she screams it's not a comparison, and I shouldn't be asking stupid questions like that. Than in anger I said "Don't say rude things to me and I won't need to compare." Then she screams "I WILL SAY RUDE THINGS TO YOU." and I got grounded for 3 days. Also my mom is a christian, and in the bible it says don't bring your children to anger, but she has said children can't feel anger, and if I act angry, it disgusts her that a child is pretending to be angry

Ok so I have just messed up big time and know for a fact that I am about to get a huge talking to about it. Ok so my grandma passed away 9 days ago and as we are indian the funeral was a few days ago amd then in a few days we will scatter the ashes. Today, at about 3:20pm i was in my bathroom on my phone and looked up and saw something a very bright white colour, however it didnt hurt my eyes. When i looked up i saw it exit my room through my window immediately and for minutes afterwards i saw a few white sparks in my room. I have a mundir (hindu praying thing) in my room aswell so maybe that has something to do with it? Is this my grandma trying to contact me or something completely unrelated? Thanks

In regards to my family, it seems like all the ones married or in long term relationships had to and consistently put up with cheating, lying and disrespect. Some younger members of my family who seem to follow the steps of those adults are in relationships with people that they argue with alllll the time. I feel like that's childish and indicative of needing to grown up when you argue over little things ALL the time (I was in puppy love before and we did this all the way until we finally broke up for good). I never imagined love to be like that, and don't have a problem moving on if I don't feel respected, etc, esp. after expressing myself. Idk why people around me are so content with settling (they also have kids early, before the age of 23, and little education - just saying). Am I expecting too much to not want to be lied to, disrespected (verbally) or cheated on just to find love? Are they just stuck in a bad cycle? ***I'm an adult (younger than 30). linkus86 : You seem cynical. and that has nothing to do with the question posed here. I'm the youngest of 3. I work, go to college full time and have my own place. My older siblings depend on my parents. Any money they get, they spend on drugs. My brother lives with my parents with his girlfriend, rent free(when I lived there I had to pay rent). My parents even take care of his child for him. They will give him money and expect nothing in return. Then there's me... they help me out, but I have to pay them back. I don't mind paying them back, because I'd feel wrong and bad for not, but it makes me upset they don't expect it out of my siblings... After I graduated, I didn't even get a congratulations (i'm the first to graduate college), they just expected money from me. I feel sort of taken advantage of here. Is that the case? I understand parents wanting their children to work for what they have and what not, but they should instill that in all their kids, right?

So my dad always shouts at me a lot when I want to EAT something, I am on a good diet so I don't see what the problem is. But whenever he shouts at me, I start crying and then he shouts at me for crying. Sometimes I rip my hair off to ease off my anger. It works. But I just want to know whats wrong with me? Why do I always cry? I just wish I could shout back at him. But I cant, I couldnt... Please help me :(

My sister is in hospital and has been for a few days now after having 4 seizures. But right before she starting having seizures she was telling my mum that she was forgetting how to speak but my mum thought she was lying and said she is being stupid. Do you think she was actually telling the truth ?

I m 18 and my parents got divorced when I was 7 and I always go to my dad during august over the summer and this year we are going on holidays away to a different country but my dad told me a few times to get money off my family for the holiday as he has no money, I don t work yet I m still in school so I don t have my own money other than what my mom gives me, I m really worried because he seems so nervous or something and when I go over to him I m scared to tell him that I don t have any/much money. I find it very annoying and unfair that this is the case, I think that he should be the one that saves up to have money for the holiday instead of putting the burden on me, it would be different if I had a job but I don t. I don t know what he expects me to do and I don t think this is fair because the money I occasionally get from my family I need for my own personal expenses such as going out with friends, I don t get much money and what I do get I need for these expenses. It worries me so much what will happen and I don t know what to do. This is always a problem, when my brother and I go over to visit him he always complains about not having money and we don t do anything or go anywhere we just sit there it gets very boring because I have to be there for a whole month

I have a young 8 year old sister. (In her mind - she's nearly at the end of highschool, since I am.) Keep in mind my mother recently got surgery, and my sister does not respect that. She'll go onto calling her names and get amusement out of watching her suffer in bed. And saying things like, "they should have killed you." Although i did next to nothing to her, she is quite jealous. I did not notice it, it was several family members and friends to point it out to me. Always giving me long admiring stares, attempts to dress like me, carries purses, etc. This has processed and has got out of control. To get "revenge" on something I supposedly did, she'll take my expensive makeup, clothes (that don't even fit her), EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE RINGS and perfumes/lotions. She'll then go on and hide them in her closet.And most of them are never found. She makes it a cycle at 5:00 in the morning to come and take it when my mom and I are sleeping. She's even threatened to kill me, and I will occasionally get deep-scratches and wounds from her. She'll even point large things at me such as baseball bats but never bring herself to actually do anything. I'm yet to do anything in return - which is why I am asking for advice. She has been tested for mental disorders, SEVERAL TIMES. She has spoken to counselors before, etc. They all state that nothing is wrong with her emotionally or physically. I do have live footage of her twerking and cursing as-well. I do threaten her with showing this to a relative, however, she does give a sh't.

I have been seeing two women for the past couple of months. My bday party was this weekend. One woman (JJ) she expressed wanting to help me celebrate and I told her that we would have a good time together. The other woman (LJ) got mad when she saw I was there with (JJ). She created a scene twice. (LJ) tried to start a fight with (JJ) and she threw a drink on me. Me and (JJ) walked off and we continued to enjoy our night. I went home with (JJ). (LJ) is still calling and texting and I talked to her and told her that she was crazy. She said she was mad to see me with another woman. Surprisingly, they both want to keep seeing me. Should I keep seeing the crazy one that started a scene at my party or should I keep my distance for a while?

I will start this by saying I am 15 and my cousin is 26, back during Spring break my parents went on holiday together and left me at home and my cousin looked after me for the week. He kept asking me if I wanted to hang out, see a movie, go swimming etc but I just wanted to stay at home on my Tumblr, One day I slept till 5pm and he asked if I was feeling ok, I told him to f off and leave me alone to sleep, I rang my mom and asked her to come back early and my cousin is annoying me, she told me "he is family" and I said "That means nothing to me" he must of overheard because he never spoke to me for the rest of the week and even went home without saying goodbye. Now during the summer vacation all of the cousins (there are about 9 of us, ages ranging from 15 (me) to 30, the cousin in question is one of the only not going as there was no room for him, since the holiday was planned in May he has removed us all from all social media and changed his cell phone, he is avoiding all contact with us. Is he being immature? Esp considering his age? He blocked contact with me and all the rest of the cousins after he found out there is no room for him on our family holiday, he can't go and has since no spoken to any of us.

I am a mother of two boys, one is 21 the other is 18 FTM. My younger son is the baby of the family and He is very close to me and his father. He is a virgin, he works part time and goes to school full time he plays lacrosse on the men's team. My old son has recently been spending a lot of time with my younger son, at first I was so happy to see my boys becoming close but now I am worried my old son is influencing my young son in bad ways. My older son got a girl pregnant and he avoids seeing or helping with his son. My old son can't maintain a relationship and is constantly going girl to girl. He also tends to talk about them inappropriately at inappropriate times. Recently my younger son has been act different he always is in his room with the door locked or out with his brother and friends. He doesn't want to spend any time with me. I've also caught him twice trying to bring different girls into his room. What should I do? I want my cute and sweet baby boy back.

I just came back from vacation in China, and also visited my aunts and my cousin. I only got to see them for a few days, because they were always working. I had so much fun, but now I m back in the US, and I miss them so much. I would always feel so happy around them. I wish I could go back and see them again. I don t think I ll be able to go back next year. I have no motivation to do anything, half because of jet lag. I m incredibly sad, and I dont know what to do.

I really need some advice. My mother and father just came back from a long trip and she came home furious. She kept complaining how no one eats her food when my big brother, my little brother, and I all ate. When my father stepped in to tell her that we already ate, that just made her even more furious. She started to warm all the leftovers forcing him to eat it all. She's a crazy person! Luckily, my father didn't listen because he knows better. She screamed at us telling us to all sleep at 10, which I don't mind but we did nothing wrong. My brother who is almost 20 got furious as well. He didn't do anything wrong, he always eats the leftovers and takes care of us. He asked her why she was so angry and that he did nothing wrong. She of course didn't listen. I might've talked back saying of course in an annoyed way when she told us about sleeping at 10. She called me and I started to tell her how sorry I was for not eating enough. I said this because I'm scared of my mother. She is very violent, I thought she changed but apparently she didn't. Why is she acting this way? I'm tired of it. I truly am and I don't want to deal with her random mood swings.

Long story She is my older sister. She will be 26 I am 24. She is way too involved in my life. We both live at home. She works twice a week, I work sometimes 43 hours a week. She has a bunch of friends who love her. For example her friends will not go to parties if she's not there. Goes on vacation every year and will not look for a full time job or finish school and she only has 1 class to go to get her associate's but all she wanted to do was party(obviously you can tell my resentment here) i love the fact she is popular I just cant take the laziness. I have no friends, have a severe personality disorder, but am taking a great medication that helps with the black and white thinking, suicidal thoughts and rage. Im really upset with myself because if I were taking abilify when I were younger I would have totally graduated college and have my dream job. Here are the things I want to convey to my sister. Most importantly please get yourself a full time job, she says she wont find one until after she comes back from vacation. I've heard the sane excuse last year. She could literally do the same thing I do until she reaches her goals. And another thing please stop bugging me about my life. Part of the reason why I have no friends is because my sister will literally block my friends on my facebook, she goes through my phone, and threatens that she will talk to "these people" I call "friends" instead be friends with her friends yet she wont let me talk to her friends.

It s summer, as everyone knows, and my school starts up again on August 16th. I have no money. I have quite the story about why that is. In 1997 when my older sister was born, our mother and her father wanted a divorce. It went on for years and there was custody battles and things, so when my family stated out we were already $31,000 in debt. Since then, we ve done nothing but get more in debt. My mother went to college in 2011 to try and get a job, but once she actually had her teaching degrees, she had a pain problem. She had bad neck pain and had a neck surgery. Then after that she had 6 shoulder surgeries, and is going on her seventh. We ve been badly in debt from all of that as well. We pay bills and have only had a little danger of losing our house and water/power, but sometimes cannot afford food. My dad also has to work 16 hours every day just to keep that up. My sister left our house the Thursday after Easter in 2015 after a seemingly minor fight with my mom. My sister had gotten a speeding ticket a while back and never told my mom (who pays car insurance) about it. So naturally, my mother was upset, and my sister blew it WAY out of proportion. She made it into some big crying screaming mess for no reason! She ended up saying she "needed some time to think" and stormed out of the house at midnight and drove to her dads. The following Monday, she came back and talked to my mom. (Continued in updates)
