Question: Some dude trying to make fun of me? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:37 PM PDT There is this dude that blocked me on insta but I didn't. He was an old friend. I put motivational videos and he once in a while comment with laughing faces and silly stuff. Like hahaha omg hahaha are you sick. I look great. He look skinny .. that's it. He blocked me because he thought I look like **** he said I don't want ur friendship anymore **** off and crap talk. So why is he trying to bug me? I didn't do anything wrong to him. |
Question: Should I tell my friend that people are spreading rumors about her? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:34 PM PDT I am good friends with someone who all of my other friends hate- I know crazy situation. Anyway people are spreading so many rumors about her and I don't believe them, at least I really don't want to. I feel like she has the right to know so should I fill her in? I also know that if people find out I'm the one that told her about the rumors, I'd get in trouble and have people mad at me. These are my options: A) stay out of it completely- it's not my business or responsibility. B) tell her what's going on- she has the right to know C) ask her if rumors are true in a way she won't suspect people are actually believing and spreading such things D) take matters into my own hands to find out if the rumors are even remotely true Or any other alternative options you guys have for me. Thanks :) |
Question: How can I rebuild a connection with a friend? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:31 PM PDT Okay,so I have a friend who recently graduated from high school, and we haven't spoken since her last day of high school. I was unable to attend the graduation. However,as I previously mentioned,we haven't spoken since her last day. During the time she was still in high school,we were very close. She was there for me through my anxiety and depression, and was really the only person who would listen to,relate to,and comfort me. I won't go into details, but she helped me get through some terrible emotional storms. But,we haven't spoken in a while, and neither one of us has initiated conversation. I would like to reach out and rebuild the connection though, but I don't know what to start the conversation with. We have no connection except for social media right now. I would have to message her,but I don't know how to start the conversation. I don't want small talk, like "how are you?" and such. I would like a genuine conversation. How could I start it? And any tips will be greatly appreciated. :) |
Question: Someone I know gets really upset whenever I don't tell her the littlest things.? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:29 PM PDT This is not really a question but who cares I don't like telling people my secrets even if they were my closest friend I'm 13 years old I have a friend who is 11 and she expects me to tell her every little thing. But it's just really annoying |
Question: What's the best way to start over when it comes to friends? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:18 PM PDT I had a panic attack for the first time very recently. I didn't know what it was, so I went to the doctor. My doctor explained it to me, and recommended that I remove any sources of negativity or stress from my life if possible... Even if it comes from someone I believe to be a close friend. That's when I finally took a good hard look at how much give and take there is in my friendships... Most of them, it seemed, were using me. Most of my friends were drug users. I'm not. I wasn't sure if I really wanted to cut people off, but after I watched one of my closest "friends" get arrested for nearly shooting a baby, I realized this was definitely not the kind of crowd I wanted to be around. For the record, I wasn't there, I showed up after the fact and only saw him getting taken away. I didn't even know he had a gun. But now that I've cut these people off, I have only one friend... One friend who doesn't even live here. My stress and anxiety is much lower now, and I've definitely improved, but I don't know what to do. I've known everyone for years... I don't even know if I could make new friends here simply because of the group I was with. Should I try to meet new people here, or should I move to where my now only friend lives and start over? |
Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:15 PM PDT I told a guy- if you want to meet up I'm free next week. So let me know. He said- definitely. I'm not sure if he said definitley to wanting to meet up, or definitely to letting me know when he's free... Do I have to further pursue and ask which day he's free, or does "definitely" imply that he's gong to get back to me with that info? |
Question: How can I get people to stop telling me my name is weird? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:03 PM PDT some people keep telling me I have a weird name and its really annoying. I don't care what people say, but it just gets annoying to hear, because its from the same group of people. how can I get them to stop? my name is Hasti |
Question: How to stop being such a nuisance to everyone? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 05:03 PM PDT I feel like a nuisance to everyone. I can hardly keep a friend. In the group of friends that I've hung out with for 3 years, I'm losing that connection with them. I've joined sports and tried to make friends, but I always just feel excluded in the end. If I try to speak, someone just talk over me. To my family, both of my sisters hate me. My parents are divorced so I never really talk to my dad anymore. As for my mom, she hangs out with my 6-year-old sister and basically ignores me. I just don't know what to do anymore. Advice? |
Question: Is it okay to have friendships with older people? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 04:56 PM PDT I had a friendship with a former classmate of mine. I'm 25 and she's in her 40's. I'm fine with having both friends around my age and older because I don't care when it comes to having a friendship. Apparently, her and her husband decided it was best to not be friends with me on the phone or Facebook anymore because she don't think we have anything in common but two things, minus the age difference. I think we have more than two things in common honestly, but it sucks. Does anyone happen to have older friends? |
Question: How do I get old people to make a decision? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 04:53 PM PDT I volunteer at a nursing home and every Tuesday an ice cream truck comes for a couple hours so we wheel them out and they never know what to get. I'll point to everything on the menu and they keep saying no to it all. Also these people usually don't talk they just shake their heads or point. How do I know what they want if even they don't know? |

Question: How to get revenge on the people who stole money from my grandfather? Question: My best friend is turning into her brother? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 04:21 PM PDT I love her, but she's acting like her brother a lot. She's homeschooled and dresses like shes 7... she's 13! She's too much like a child and i feel like she is holding me back from being the person i want to be. I know she has no mean intensions but I dont know how much longer i can deal with it! |
Question: Throwing a house party at a model home? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 03:55 PM PDT So me and my friends (juniors) have been trying to throw an absolute RAGER with at least 200-300 people coming soon this summer, and everything like people and all that will easily fall in place but we really need a house and a friend of mine said there's an area with these really nice MODEL homes nearby in an isolated and literally nobody lives them or is near them so no one would be disturbed (cops likely wouldn't have to be called). Could we use one of them for the party? It isn't likely cops will show up but I'm aware that if they do it would be bad, but as long as their isn't any surveillance could we pull this off? I don't want any stupid life lectures on how I shouldn't be doing this, I just want actual help and advice from preferably fellow partiers that know what they're talking about. Thanks |
Question: Friend Snapchat question? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 03:46 PM PDT Okay so one of my good friends (school friend) ALWAYS sends me pictures of the same one on her story and selfies of herself. It's getting really annoying cause I'm getting so many notifications that she snapchatting me. Idk what to do lol. Also, what does this mean? Why does she always send me pics of her selfies and the same pics on her story? I'm so confused lol. Thanks |
Question: How to deal with being lonely at school? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 03:46 PM PDT So basically my best friend moved to a different school over the summer. We had this group of 6 when she was at our school but she was the glue to this group so all of us kinda split apart and I'm alone mostly because I stayed neutral in all of the fights and never picked a side so the two sides stayed together separately and I dont get along with any of them very well. I have this other really good friend but she's barely in any of my classes and we don't see each other often. So I'm alone in highschool which has been very hard since we have a extreme power driven principle who is ridiculous. I went from the outgoing funny person to a loner in one year and basically I have no close friends. No matter how hard I try to convince my friend to move back (she literally just transferred to a school that isn't even an hour away) she won't and is already becoming more distant as she gains more friends. So is there anyway I can deal with this for the next couple years? |

Question: Scared of fighting(defense) is taking over me? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 02:51 PM PDT so im almost 13 and im in middle school. im really insecure, i always take people's pain as in i deserve it and because im afraid of ruining the relationship. my best friend is being really cold and selfish around me for no apparent reason just because she got really comfortable.and that happens to every relationship i ever get into. therefore i dont really talk to people at my school anymore im always the ""mean ignorant kid""so i dont hurt myself im really being mean but i feel it at heart that its wrong its not me. its only because im always the one who takes the blame in a relationship im awlays ignored and looked down on . its just that i cant get my confidence to rise and stand up for myself its that im afraid of loosing people, ... my mom is the one who killed mh self esteem saying that im never good enough , and that thougjt was always in my head since i was 6. im really dealing with a problem which made me a bad ignorant person so i dont get hurt . is there anything i can do to encourage me to stand up for myself? |
Question: Why did I get more burnt than my friend who is super pale? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 02:35 PM PDT So we went to an amusement park today from 11-4 pm and basically my entire back and face are burnt. Meanwhile, my redheaded friend who is super pale, and burns super easily didn't burn at all. We both did not wear sunscreen, and we both were wearing the same type of clothes. How is this possible? We're both white. Don't know if that matters at all but hahah. |
Question: I'm tired of feeding my roommmate? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 02:30 PM PDT We just moved in yesterday. I bought all the stuff for the house because she is broke right now. I bought her something to eat earlier today. I told her we could go in on a pizza and she said she only had 3$ so I would have to pay for most of it. Then she changed it up and bought a mountain dew with her 3$ instead of putting in with the pizza. I'm just really annoyed right now. Am I overreacting? |

Question: Am I right to be upset that my best friend is hanging out with my abusive ex? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 02:16 PM PDT OK so my best friend and I have been friends for about 6 years now (since I moved to my current state/city) and she hated my ex the whole time we were together and told me repeatedly to leave him. She was right that I needed to leave and after 2 years of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse I finally had enough and left. He still didn t stop though and police got involved multiple times. During this whole time she knew everything that he did to me. She was the only person I felt comfortable talking to about it. Well fast forward 3 years and I m with my fiancé and we have a 1 year old son. Since having my son she started blowing me off about hanging out (he s an exceptionally well behaved baby boy rarely cries in public.) and I happen to on Facebook that she has been hanging out with my abusive ex instead. I could care less who she hangs out with but she s been lying to me about going to hospital and things like that when she s actually with him. I just feel really upset about it and I don t know how to take it. It feelseems like she s siding with him somehow and that what happened to me didn t matter. Am I wrong to feel this way? I just don t know.. |
Question: Help ASAP Please Warning: confusing? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 02:12 PM PDT so today my friend received his exam answers to go to a new school and he failed in 2 subjects which he needed so bad to get in...now he s applying for resits so if he passes he will get in if not he won t. so once I told my friend she will get 50 on her marks and she did and y other friends on 60 and she also did. to get in he must get from 4-5 (those are marks) and you can get between 4-7 if he gets higher than 5 he fails. it s been a day and the numbers 5 and 6 keep going round my head and am afraid those are the numbers he s going to get because this isn t my first time thinking of my friends exam mark and every time I did I guessed the exams mark right. does this mean he s going to get those marks? confusion I know |

Question: Is manipulating, lying, hurting someone feeling, trying to protect your friend? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 02:10 PM PDT My mother told me my friend might trying to protect me. It seemed like my friend was trying to manipulate me into believing her and not the facts, she hurt my feelings I told her she didn't care she kept doing it, and she was lying to me. Is that a way to protect a friend? |

Question: Am I wrong for getting upset? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 01:38 PM PDT My friend/co-worker ignores me a lot while I'm talking, or she interrupts me to go do something while I'm talking. For example, she will walk away from me and go and do something while I'm talking, and today, I didn't know she was reading an email because I can't see her while I'm in my cubicle, but I was talking to her and she totally didn't hear what I was saying to her. I get that we're at work, but she never seems apologetic about it, and it frustrates me to no end! I just think it's RUDE. Especially if I'm supposed to be her friend. And she doesn't do this to anyone else at work. She gives everybody else her undivided attention. So I got pissed off and didn't talk to her for the rest of the day. Was I wrong for getting upset? I just feel like people should treat you the way that they want to be treated. |
Question: My best friend and I are going through a rough patch... What should I do? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 01:28 PM PDT My best friend and I (he's a guy i'm a girl) we used to be really good friends, we were really close, but lately he has been acting as if he doesnt want to be friends anymore, hes been acting like i dont matter to him, like im just bothering him all the time.. If i don't start conversation lets say text him first or call him or in person if I dont go up to him he wont make an effort to try and talk to me... So i have to text him first, call him, basically do everything just to talk to my own best friend and even then im always talking trying to get him to actually have a conversation with me and he just pretends to listen or ignores me or when we are texting he just reads the message and never responds.. He wasn't like this. We used to talk for hours and now I basically do all the talking trying to get him to even make some contact with me. Yes I have talked to him about it I expressed myself I was completely honest and he got mad... He actually got mad at me for being honest, we didn't talk for weeks, and even after I told him and was honest I was the one who had to go crawling back to him and "apologize" (even tho i did nothing wrong) just to save our friendship. And whenever I DONT talk to him he just gets mad at me, like if it bothers you so much why dont you make an effort to talk to me? Im just so sick of it... What should I do? |

Question: Could my friend lose his job? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 01:22 PM PDT My friend is a prosecutor but he's recently learned his wife has a criminal record. She's changed her life around but still keeps in touch with her family (a lot of them still run with a bad crowd from what I understand) is he in danger of losing his job? I should also add that his step daughter's bio logical father is a ex-con. So I'm a little concerned interaction with with these sorts of people might be unavoidable. |

Question: Did I get high or affected by this? Please help me! Answers? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 12:57 PM PDT OK so yesterday my brother brought in a few of his friends and bring them all to the basement and shut the door. I didn't feel like it was my business to go down and check on Them so I just waited until they left. When they left, I went to the basement and right when I open the basement door I smell the odor of weed and right then I went up stairs to ask my brother what him and his friends did down there. He finally confessed that one of his Friends had A big bag of weed and was giving it to the other friend. So I guess it was like a drug deal, anyway I don't like getting high at all because it scares me and I have bad anxiety and the last time I smoked weed I got a really bad panic attack so I never go near any type of weed. But now my brothers friends probably put weed on all the surfaces of my basement, so now I can't go down there anymore because I might touch something and then put my fingers in my mouth and then get high or get buzzed. I'm really scared and I don't know what to do, do I go downstairs and clean the areas that they were in, I know this sounds stupid but I guess my question is even if they did put weed on the surfaces if I touch them will I get high or affected in anyway? What if there are little crystals from the weed left behind and I accidentally touched one of the crystals and then started eating something and I ingest the Crystals??? By the way, I have a very low tolerance to weed and I have not smoked in over two years |
Question: Explain her reaction? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 12:56 PM PDT There was this one girl who got bullied at school. Another girl was giving the bullied girl a dirty look behind her back, then I started laughing. The bullied girl then got really sad for some reason. Why did she get sad? |
Question: Why I do not like to meet people that I have not seen since long time? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 12:56 PM PDT First of all I'm an introvert person and I feel depressed to meet new people I always keep distance and I depend on myself on everything even emergency and never ask for a favor or let any body help me for free even if I have done a lot of favors to people and they owe me and not only that I always gift people stuff without any occasion and invite them to restaurants and never accept any body's gift or sharing in expenses I'm very close to a few friends but I'm wondering that those people who used to be my best friends a while ago why I don't like to see them again or get along with them as if they did something bad to me and they are done like the ex(s) ! May be because they didn't follow up with me or I keep on changing so they are something from the past knowing that I spent with them good days and hang out with them very frequently and I had a big feeling towards them why not anymore like if I see one of them in a certain place I would flee out to avoid him/ her ! |
Question: How do I say "no" nicely? Don't want him to come but friends keep asking? please help!? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 12:42 PM PDT I'm a college student who is visiting my parents for the summer. My parents will be selling our house soon so I have been helping them around the house. We have a swimming pool that was often used as a hangout during high school so I invited my friends from high school to come over tomorrow to swim. I am traveling back and forth between my home state and the one where I go to school at so this is one of the last times that we are going to be able to use the pool before it goes up for sale. I keep in touch with 4 friends from high school so those are the ones I invited. However, they keep asking if it is okay to invite a guy named Jared over tomorrow. All of us and Jared went to high school together but they were the ones who were friends with him while he and I were never even acquaintances. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with him, I just don't know him. I don't want him to come because I don't know him however I don't want to come across as exclusive, uptight, etc. If I say no I could see my friends saying things like "I wish Jared was here" or "this would be more fun if Jared was here" making me feel bad. This is the second time they've asked if he could come. How should I deal with this? Should I invite him just to keep the peace (even though I don't want to)? We haven't seen in each other in a while so I don't want things to be awkward or intense. My friends always do this. what should I do? If i say no, how should I word it nicely? Thanks! |

My family wants me to be a veterinarian or nurse, and make good money.. But the thing is, I really want to be an auto mechanic.. I want to work around cars, and especially restore classic cars, It's my dream.. but whenever I bring it up or start talking about cars, people shut me out and say "you're a girl, and girls don't belong around cars, go be a waitress or something meant for women." ... I don't have many friends, but I have 2 female friends and a boyfriend.. My 2 friends think my passion is strange, but they accept it, and my boyfriend thinks it's different, but it's awesome. He and I talk about cars all of the time, and we both have a passion for them.. I just hate how my family won't accept it.. and It is difficult for me to find a place to work because it's usually guys working there, and they don't like hiring women..I have so much knowledge and love for cars, so it's frustrating that people don't accept it.... any advice? Question: What do I do with this problem? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 12:11 PM PDT I had really bad anxiety from problems I was having. Those problems were over, but I was still a bit anxious. My anxiety had led me to be antisocial this past year. I can't keep a straight face and I feel like every person I meet, I ruin a chance of making a friend and make an enemy instead. I move my face a lot and I look like a snob. Like I do that nose twitch that looks snobby. I have a supportive family, but not any close friends. my brother got a new roommate who he will be living with for a year. His friend came over and I was not able to look friendly due to my anxiety. I talked nice to him but I felt wierd due to my anxiety. Did I create another problem now, or should I just be like whatever because its my brother's life not mine. I would not have acted this way if I was not anxious. I realized I was having PTSD. but now is this a problem because it is making me feel anxious again? |
Question: Would it be weird to go visit a random elderly woman I talked to at Wal-Mart? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 11:53 AM PDT We spent half an hour talking to a woman at Wal-Mart today. Her dial a ride was an hour late and she was sitting out in the heat. We offered her a ride but she refused multiple times. But she told us the crossroads she lives on. Would it be weird to try to find her house and visit her? She said she doesn't have anyone to talk to and she reminded me Sooooo much of my late grandmother. |
Question: How can I fix a awkward friendship when my friend won't talk to me? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 11:46 AM PDT |
Question: Did I get high or affected by this in any way?! Please Read and Answer!? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 11:45 AM PDT OK so yesterday my brother brought in a few of his friends and bring them all to the basement and shut the door. By the way, I have a very low tolerance to weed and I have not smoked in over two years! |

Question: Why do most people love drama? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 10:22 AM PDT It seems most people can't be happy unless they are complaining about someone. I have been a loner for most of my life because of this. I'm just sick of human beings being so full of themselves. Weather it be at work, college, or even friend groups someone is always talking about each other. For example all my buddies girlfriends talk **** on each other constantly like calling each other ugly, slut, skanks and stuff but around each other they are "best friends". My buddies do it a little also just not as bad but they still do. A few weeks ago I have been just avoiding people in general because I realized people probably do the same to me. It's like if you don't like someone don't hang with them and if you have an issue tell them so they can fix it. |

Question: Is he getting feelings? Please help!? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 10:06 AM PDT Here's some background: My ex and I became FWB (friends with benefits). We broke up about a year and a half ago because of college and distance and him being afraid I would hurt him. We only dated for a few months, but we broke up still liking each other. Recently we talked about hanging out, and he asked if I wanted to be friends with benefits, and I was totally cool with that because I don't want a relationship. Anyways, he came over to the house I was house sitting for and we talked for about 3 hours. We just caught up with each other. The entire time I could tell he was really nervous. He kept playing with him hair and like nervously scratching himself and stuff. He put his arm around me while we talked and he just stared at me (like he was really truly interested in what I was saying). He was laughing almost overly hard at everything I was saying. We ended up making out but neither one of us wanted to take it further because it wasn't my house and we both felt bad. But he said he wanted to see me again and we made plans to see each other next week. However, he immediately texted me when he got home. And we're still texting now. I'm kinda nervous about it because I'm not sure if he's catching feelings again or not. Is he? |
Question: My friend told everyone lies about my brother's death? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 10:04 AM PDT So I came back to school yesterday after a break for grieving. To find out that my friend told everyone 1) my brother died of cancer and I didn't want to tell anyone for years because I was ashamed 2) at his funeral I apparently made her run up to the open casket and run back. 3) I told my little sister that my brother ran away because he hated her. She's a childish person who I don't want in my life but she won't leave me alone and I'm still trying to clear the rumours |
Question: My best friend called me a snob? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 09:42 AM PDT I'm 15. So yesterday I was talking to my best friend about what we did lately as I've been away, in Brazil with my family. I told her how we set up a pool and I went swimming of course. Then shopping, ice skating and to see a movie. Then my daddy surprised me with a puppy. She got mad and called me a snob. I never meant to make her react that way. |
Question: What do I talk about with an elderly person I've never met before? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 09:40 AM PDT So I'm gonna be visiting a couple people in nursing homes whose family's haven't visited in over a year just to keep them company and talk for a couple hours I guess it could also be called volunteering I'm not sure but I've never met them and I'm meeting with 2 people just to visit with. What do I talk to them about? Also, will asking about their family upset them because they obviously never visit And keep in mind this will have to last for at least an hour |
Posted: 13 Jul 2016 09:31 AM PDT I am good friends with someone who all of my other friends hate- I know crazy situation. Thanks :) |

Question: How to become preppy and popular before high school starts? Posted: 13 Jul 2016 08:35 AM PDT Okay so I need help before high school starts. I'm going to be attending one of the most exclusive private all girls schools in my state(south) and I'm very excited because it's been my dream school for a few years. Recently I started going on my Instagram more and I realized that a lot of the more popular girls in my school are friends with girls all over the city in different private schools. This didn't bother me but now that we are all going to be going to one school next year I want to fit in to that friend group. Now the popular girls at my school are very nice to me and comment things on my Instagram posts like "You're so pretty!" and "Ur my goals omg!!" and just things like that. That always made me feel popular but the problem is that I'm actually pretty shy. I'm not bad at conversation, just bad at starting it. Now all these girls know each other from volleyball (which I've heard is a preppy sport) and so I wanted to do a sport to help me fit in. However, I'm not competitive and sports bore me to death. So I decided to take up another activity that's defined as both preppy and is something that I've always wanted to do: ballet. I also have a boyfriend who is very popular that I've been "dating" for 2 years if that means anything. I'm also taking all honors classes next year. I just need help on how to be as connected as these girls, how to make myself part of their clique without being sporty, how to make friends and be popular, and how to be preppy. Thanks :) |
