Question: What would you think in this situation? Posted: 02 May 2019 04:01 PM PDT Back in August, a guy was working at my job's store, training to be a manager of a different, nearby location. We'll call him John. John ended up being at my location until early October, so just less than 2 months. During that time, we got along really well and he actually flirted with me hardcore. He is married, 41 years old and I'm 28. When we first started working together, I was single, but then I started dating my fiance a few weeks later. When he found out I was seeing somebody, he started acting so odd. I made a comment to him about something and he told me that's why I should be dating men and not boys. My fiance (who was just my boyfriend then) gave me two hickies and John made a big deal about it. He also teased me about where my fiance (again, just my boyfriend then) took me for dinner the night before. He basically told me I have a great a** and he did/said some other things that lead me to believe he had a crush on me. When he left, we became FB friends. We don't really talk on there or interact on there for the most part. Sometimes, he'll post something and I'll comment. One time recently, he deleted a whole post that I had commented on, but it might not have been related. Anyways, his mother passed away recently and my mom passed away in October. Because he hasn't been at work due to being out of town, some of our people have had to go work over at his store. I sent him a message this afternoon saying again, that I was sorry and that I was praying for him and that I know how he feels, so if he ever needs a friend to talk to who understands, I'm here for him. He replied "Thank you. I thought about you." What does he mean? |

Question: Is it weird that me and my friend like to fart around each other? Posted: 02 May 2019 02:23 PM PDT We're both guys (I'm 21 and he's 19). We've known each other since i was 4 and he was 2, so we're close like brothers. We're so comfortable with each other we don't mind letting a rip next to each other, and we find it funny and kinda enjoy doing it. Like we'll just spend an hour having a farting contest for no reason. Can anyone explain this?!?! |

Question: I’m lonely and no one likes me? Posted: 02 May 2019 01:47 PM PDT i'll try to make this quick. i'm the one girl who sits alone in class. who doesn't talk to the others and has no friends. i have one friend in school but she's not in any of my classes. there's a few people i know will let me team with them if we need to work in groups but they completely disregard the fact that i'm there and i feel like an annoyance they had to take in out of pity. i'm sick of it i just want to talk and make friends but i can't. it's too late no one wants to bother with me anymore i ruined things for myself by being so quiet when school had only started and everyone got into their friend groups. |
Question: Can I make a complaint to the school and ask for a formal apology? Posted: 02 May 2019 01:15 PM PDT I am the head boy at my school, me and the headgirl are close friends. She recently told me that her drama teacher said to the class behind her back that she didn't deserve it at all and after the teacher found out the headgirl was told, she began being bitchy towards her. Me, the headgirl and our deputies insisted her parents come in to speak with the member of staff to ask for an apology seen as though the headgirl was deeply offended (I've been good friends with her for over two years and she definitely deserved it). What can I do to help her? |
Question: Was I overreacting to this??? (Best Answer)? Posted: 02 May 2019 01:00 PM PDT I rode a taxi with my younger brother this morning (he's 16) and he rode in the front while I rode in the back. Initially the driver seemed pretty cool and was talking a lot to my brother about the new avengers movie. I had my headphones in the whole time but I wasnt playing anything so I heard their whole conversation which seemed normal but the guy kept making physical contact with brian. It started with like playful nudges to the shoulder,, tap on the chest, ruffling his hair. Then he patted his leg playfully. He kept doing that but it was more like his thigh, but eventually the pats turned in to him holding his hand on my brother's thigh for extended periods. When I noticed that I had him pull over and let us out and called him a perv. He just took his money and left. My brother didnt really seem to get why I snapped so maybe I overreacted because they were just talking about movies but it seemed like he was borderline trying to grope him. When I spoke to my brother and parents about it, he admitted that he thought it was weird and he was uncomfortable but he didnt want to be rude because the guy seemed nice. My parents seem torn which is making second guess how I reacted. |
Question: Should I leave my best friend? Posted: 02 May 2019 11:54 AM PDT We are young women in our 20s. We met in the beginning of 2018. Things started off amazing and we hit it off immediately. We shared every detail of our lives together. We both really loved and appreciated each other. However in august of last year, she met a bf. Since then, we went from meeting once a week to once every 3 weeks. I got her a really nice gift for her b day. But on my b day, she gave me an ugly eye shadow palette. I felt like she just randomly plucked something from the drugstore as if she didn't really care. For Christmas, I gave a nice gift and wrote her a meaningful card. She looked really forward to receiving my gift but she didn't get me anything. She wasn't ashamed that she didn't give me anything either. At first, I didn't mind it much. Back then we used to meet up at cafes, restaurants. But now, its always me traveling all the way to her house to meet up with her and do NOTHING except to ramble about our lives. This went on for about 5 months until I'm getting bored. We do nothing together anymore. She has not given me anything valuable since bullsh*itting my b day gift. Her most recent effort was ordering a cheap seamless delivery meal online for us both. Now, she keeps asking me if i want to travel to hangout at her house. But im not too sure anymore. She clearly enjoys my company and wants me to be by her side but i don't feel like she is invested into our relationship. All her energy is sucked away from her boyfriend and his friends. She knows that I really needed someone to attend social events with. But she never mentioned that she wants to go with me. When I really need help, she gives advice but never physically actually does anything to help me. All she cares about is her obsession with her bf. |

Question: Do you agree with my professor or am I just being too sensitive? Posted: 02 May 2019 09:53 AM PDT Music has always been my passion and I've been playing my instrument for 10 years. I'm now in my second year of college and I've decided to join a few music ensembles at my university. I've received a scholarship from my university's pep band, I'm in their concert band, and a brass ensemble. Because I'm in those ensembles, I have to take private lessons (which I've never done before until now), and my professor has a bad habit of comparing me to the other musicians. He tells me things like, "I never want to sound like you/have your tone" "you don't even compare to the others" "you need to be like this person" and he always looks down on me. For example, during my freshman year, he gave me the "mini" version of my instrument because he thought I couldn't handle the "real" one, even though I played the "real" one all throughout middle/high school. Then, when someone messes up or is out of tune, he automatically thinks it's me. I know the solution would be to just practice more, but that's not my point. My point is that, everyone comes from a different background and you can't compare people just because they play the same instrument. Some people work more than 1 job, some people have illnesses that others don't know about, etc, so sometimes practicing is the least of their concerns. |
Question: Do you think I gave my freind good advice? Posted: 02 May 2019 09:27 AM PDT I got a call from my friend Alice who wanted to meet me for lunch. She had a problem she wanted my advice on. At lunch, she told me her son in law (her daughter's husband) wanted her to loan him some money. She had already made him 3 loans and he had not paid any of those 3 loans back. She wanted to know if she should make him a 4th loan. I told her this is a VERY TOUGH situation. She should probably consider the 3 pervious loans as gifts as the odds are VERY LOW they will be paid back. I told her I think the best approach would be to tell him that after he paid back the previous loans, she would consider making him a new loan. I told her to be prepared from a bad reaction from him and also possibly from her daughter. If there are grand children involved, be prepared to hear you will not see your grand children again. I told Alice to think very carefully what she wanted to do. I predict if she made another loan, there will be a request for a 5th loan in the future. I hope I gave her good advice. Do you think I did? |
Question: Is my friend being rude to me or am I just being too sensitive? Posted: 02 May 2019 09:23 AM PDT friend at my university and she is in my group of friends with me. Sometimes she says things to me which make me question whether she views me as a lesser person than her. I remember when we were applying for placements and I got the placement straight away and when I told her she rolled her eyes and said 'you got it and you only applied for one placement.' Another time I was in the group and mentioning that I like to wear feminine clothes and dress nicely and she rolled her eyes again and said 'you would wouldn't you.' Note: she dresses a bit like a Tom-boy and never wears dresses. Other times she's always asking me whether I have started my placement. I have other hobbies besides my uni and I am a musician. When anyone ever talks about this with me she goes silent and changes the subject. I was with a group of friends the other day and we were all talking about our favourite foods and drinks I suggested red wine and one of my friends said 'you're a joke' Was this a rude thing to say or am I being too sensitive? |

Question: Don't you love to spy on and observe foreign neighbors in your neighborhood? Posted: 02 May 2019 08:23 AM PDT I'm a white guy, male 31 with an appetite that people thinks is quite unusual. I like to spy on neighbors if they are foreigners, not American neighbors they're boring. Foreign neighbors have this animal like nature and They look like animals. I watch Mexican people in their natural habitat, or Brazilian or Italian or Puerto Ricans, or Colombians. Africans are boring as they sit by themselves in their house and burn insence. They are always high, and getting high. But those Mexicans, how animalistic they are. They always walk around delusional as they don't know they are being watched by a white man, and being observed and taken notes by him. |
Question: How would you protect your friend? Posted: 02 May 2019 08:21 AM PDT One of your friends like a person, the person comes to a restaurant you and your friends are at. You never met this person your friend likes but you know this person has hurt/upset your friend (not badly, little disagreements and misunderstanding) but they always worked it out. Would you be encouraging your friend to talk to this person? Would you threatened to hurt this person? |
Question: How do I confront my friend without it being awkward? Posted: 02 May 2019 08:16 AM PDT i have two best friends, christina and tiana. christina has always been best friends with this guy, greg who was like in love with her. i always thought greg was cute & christina always told me that he wanted to get with me. tiana and greg also hooked up previously. so last semester christina told us that her and greg were finally going to try being a couple. time went on, she said her and greg weren't working so they decided to stay friend. while they were "together" she would show us text messages between them and tell us about their conversations and arguments... so over the break greg kept texting me to hang out and i obviously said no. when he asked why i was like because you were with christina? and he goes what, me and christina never hooked up, never had sex, never tried being together. we eventually found out that christina had lied about the entire thing, made her own text messages, etc. she literally went to measures to fabricate this lie. greg & i hookup lowkey but i am tired of keeping it a secret. how do me, tiana & greg go about confronting christina? it's just going to be extremely awkward and embarrassing for her because we all know she lied. |

Question: How can you stop having suicidal thoughts?? Posted: 02 May 2019 06:31 AM PDT I've been having a lot of suicidal thoughts lately. A few months ago I took a bunch of pills trying to take my own life but just ended up getting really sick. Nobody knows about that but it helped me realize that I'm capable of going through with it. I almost told my teacher but I got scared he'd tell someone and they'd lock me in a psych ward or something. I've been trying to be a man and tough it out but I wondering if there's a way to make the thoughts stop without involving anyone. Besides the obvious, going through with it. |

Question: Why does my friend try to discourage me from dancing but then copies me? Posted: 02 May 2019 03:22 AM PDT I have a friend. I have known her for about a year. She decided to message me ever since I took up dancing as a hobby and we now go to classes together. I once took a few photos of myself dancing in a studio, and she messaged me instantly after asking how I got photos like that and she told me she wanted me to take photos of her doing exactly the same thing. Then, the next week when I took photos of her doing the dancing, she was getting frustrated and said 'how did you manage to lift your legs so high in your photos?' Then after she accused me of not taking them right because they weren't like my photos and she got upset. She will also insult me and my life choices at the same time. If I say I have gone to a progressing class she will message me and say 'I'm surprised they didn't kick you out that's meant to be for advanced dancers' and she will say 'maybe you need to get some shoes that fit you' Whenever I post any photos of me dancing, she never supports them or likes them, but she always views my posts. Sometimes she will message me after seeing my posts and she will then say 'you're photos have made me want to go out and buy dance clothes' or she will say 'your photos make me want to go to class.' Why does she never support my posts, but always wants to criticise me and copy what I am doing? |
Posted: 02 May 2019 02:55 AM PDT I have noticed a disturbing trend amongst young people they act like Instagram is the most important thing in life. Snapchat as well. If they aren't getting likes, they are depressed and only care about their image on social media. They craft some fake life for their fake friends to see they've never met in real life. It's sad They go out to dinner with their family and they are more worried about what sally is doing on instagram than talking to her family. |
Question: How can I hide an initiation burn mark?? Posted: 02 May 2019 12:55 AM PDT I just joined a new house and am still in initiation, last weekend during a party I had to get my mark. I was pretty drunk at the time so I dont remember much of what all happened but its still super sore now. They gave me an ointment to put on it called mebo an I think thats helping. Anyway, where the burn is, is on my upper arm and its small enough that if i wear a t-shirt it covers most of it but if i move at all you can notice it. I've been wearing long sleeves but already people have been making comments and asking why im wearing long sleeves when the heat is back. I have to visit my parents this weekend and I'm worried they'll notice but there's no way I can wear long sleeves the whole time without them knowing something is up. How else can I hide the mark without drawing more attention to my arms. |
Question: Always ruining my opportunities.? Posted: 01 May 2019 11:08 PM PDT I have this one friend who was recently brought in my friends circle this year. She grown attached to a certain friend in the group and doesn't want to do anything when the certain person isn't there or be next to anyone else in the group. The friend that she has grown attached to is getting pulled away from the group by her day after day leaving the rest of us uncomfortable. I'm unable to talk to the original member of my friend circle now that the imposter will always completely butt in. Every opportunity I do have with her or the talk to her or to just hang out and chill with her is alway ruined. I just want for everyone to treat each other equally but that's too much to ask for. The imposter doesn't know what she's doing wrong and if i confront her ill never hear the end of it. Any suggestions ? |
Question: I think I am being used for my ssi? Posted: 01 May 2019 10:23 PM PDT ok so for over two years now my friend and I have been living with my aunt and my cousin. my friend also has two kids one of which also gets paid ssi. when we first started living here we went to the ssi office and they told us that we were to give her no more that 245 to live here. now all this time she has been charging me 435 and my friend 700(because she gets more). when we say something about it she tells us that if we have a problem with it go back and live on the streets you all would be homeless without me. on top of all this everytime my cousin loses her job for whatever reason she charges us 100 more each. i don't know what to do or even if i feel right doing anything because she is my aunt and i don't want to end up homeless again please help |
Question: I feel like I’m being used by my friend? Posted: 01 May 2019 09:38 PM PDT I have this friend that I've known since freshman year of high school. We are now seniors, and we've always been in the same friend group. Recently she's been asking me for rides to and from school, and I've done it whenever I can. However, she gets mad when I can't drive her or tell her the night before, even when she's told me five minutes before I was ready to leave and get her that she doesn't need a ride. Recently, she asked me advice about what to do about someone she doesn't want to be friends with anymore. I asked her who and she wouldn't tell me. She said the problem is this person is friends with everyone she's friends with, and I found it odd that she was asking because at that point we had two weeks left of high school and it's not like she would see that person anymore. We're going to the same college, and I feel like she's talking about me. Which I honestly didn't think she would go that low as a person, but maybe I was wrong. It just makes me really sad because I try to put in max effort into all my friendships, and I always feel like I'm eventually just thrown to the curb like I don't matter. It makes me feel really terrible about myself and I don't know what to do |
Question: My mom is my only friend? Posted: 01 May 2019 09:16 PM PDT Since childhood I have been very close to my mom. Sometimes i feel like she is the only one who cares about me. As a child I often slept with her and took showers with her. I stopped doing that as I got older but I still tell her everything. I don't keep secrets from her. Sometimes I treat her more like a friend than a mom. But I am 21 and I have never had any friends my age, not even during my teen years. |
Question: DOES SHE LIKE ME? DOES MY FEMALE BEST FRIEND HAVE A CRUSH ON ME? URGENT (IM FEMALE TOO)? Posted: 01 May 2019 09:14 PM PDT I've known her for a year. We are so close. We both daily say how much we love each other and all. She's hugged me before and said "you're mine and ill love you forever" or "ill be there for you forever no matter what" etc. She's said too that she loves me more than she does herself. I don't know how to interpret this. we are both girls and in our 20s and very close. She is hetero though . She has said it (and also I know for a fact she has crush on this one guy) but the way she acts to me sometimes makes me wonder. she always says she loves me so much abd is always hugging me. she said once how she'll always be tjere to protect be and she also has said I'm very pretty. |

Posted: 01 May 2019 07:05 PM PDT So i have done some soul searching on who i am, i realized that im a introvert but in a different way. i have no desire whatsoever to have friends, or even talk with my family all i want to do is listen to music, go out for walks, and play video games. I decided i dont care about people, i dont care enough to talk to you, now if you came up to me and started a conversation i would gladly talk to you untill the conversation is done but i never care enough about people to want to talk to anyone. My desire is to be smart, i want to invent something that will change the world, i want to invent something just so i can say i did it and i know that i dont care if that gets in front of me and my family or friends. i want to do what i want even if that means losing contact with e veryone. am i a bad person for this? |
Question: What do you think my friend meant by this? Posted: 01 May 2019 06:52 PM PDT I found a cat a couple days ago, and have been trying to find the owners. My friend texted me, and asked me if I was gonna keep it. I said no (because I already have 2 dogs, and a cat) his reply was "you should just kidding. One animal is enough work" I assumed it was a typo, so I asked him what he meant, and he said that he didnt mean anything by it, and that hes sorry. Usually when he mis types something he tells me. I thought maybe he was mad that I wasnt gonna keep the cat, and said he was sorry. Am I overthinking this? |
Posted: 01 May 2019 06:44 PM PDT we are both in our early 20 s, we re college friends at art school and roommates. For the most part, we get along really well, and we both don t have many other friends. I ve gotten used to the fact that she takes some things more personally than others. For example, a couple times she has submitted her art for a show or competition, and when she doesn t get in she gets really upset for a week and bitter at the judges. I know it sucks to get rejected, but if you re guaranteed to get in, is it really a competition? For some of these shows, I have also submitted something alongside her and been rejected too, but I m expected to comfort her. I feel like I m always tiptoeing around her and making sure i always flatter her, and never provide friendly or constructive criticism. If I do, she doesn t get ANGRY, but I can see that she gets cold suddenly. She s a nice person and she s kind to me, but i get the feeling that she does not think as carefully about what she says to me as I do for her. She has no problem calling me out when I make dumb mistakes, which I m okay with in a friendship since it s fun to laugh at yourself, but if i did the same to her, I know she would get mad at me. How do I equalize our respect level? Should I try to get her to loosen up and stop taking herself so seriously? Or should I try to ask her to take me more seriously? Is it possible I m just being insensitive? |

Question: How can I stop feeling anxious over seeing my ex-friend at school? Posted: 01 May 2019 06:20 PM PDT I used to be really close to this girl in high school and would tell her everything until we began drifting by the end of senior year. I'm guessing it was because we both changed and she got a boyfriend so she spent time with me less. She goes to the same college as me and we still occasionally say hi when we run into each other. I kinda resent her for not putting in as much effort as I did into our friendship. But at the same time seeing her around school makes me feel guilty as if it was my fault the friendship faded when I did try to reach out to her one the last time. Lately I've been avoiding her and dropping whatever classes I happen to find her in. I don't want to talk to her again because as I mentioned, we no longer have things in common. She doesn't say hi to me anymore so I'm guessing she got the message that I don't want to talk to her. I really do try to act like she's a stranger but her presence creates this huge elephant in the room that makes me feel anxious and awkward whenever she's around. I just want to stop feeling resentful and guilty towards her and move on. |
Question: What does it mean when a guy wants pictures? Posted: 01 May 2019 06:03 PM PDT I told this guy I was going to leave him pictures at his job. And now he's asking me where are they. But why is he asking me this? We already had sex just once. |
