Question: How could I answered this question without making my wife mad? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 02:47 PM PDT My wife and I were at her mother's (Linda) house. My wife was showing me the family photo album. In it was Linda's pictures as a swim suit model. Wow, was Linda great looking and had a figure to die for. I told my wife "I see where you get your good looks. Your mother is gorgeous ". Linda heard me and came over and hugged me and said "You made my day". My wife asked her mother if she could still get in the bathing suit she had on in the pictures. Linda said "Yes, they still fit". My wife ask her mother to put one on so she could get a picture of her now in the swim suit. Linda said she did not think she should do that as the swim suit was too revealing. Linda turned to me and said "You would not like to see me in a micro bikini would you"? Every guy reading this knows what the truthful answer is but I can not say that. Wives, I would like your opinion on how I should have answered without making my wife mad. |

Question: What to do, short tempered parents? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 01:30 PM PDT I live at home with my grandmother and my father, I don't have a mother, I grew up with my grandparents and my fathers only been in my life for 4 years because he became disabled and had to live with my grandparents. I'm a young adult now, about the age when I can start moving out.. but I feel like my father hates me, I've never been ill behaved, we barely talk actually.. and when he does talk to me it's only to scream at me, "you left your f*ing skis at the doorway" and then I'll explain that's because I was going skiing in 10 min but he'll keep going for hours.. Today we were supposed to get the dogs nails cut, i asked him if we were still going and to say that i was concerned that they were getting long.. his response "what the f* do you think, and if the dog bites anyone I don't have money to pay for medical bills" Our dog is scared of having the nails done and can get aggressive but he did say we were going today.. these are just a few examples.. any chance he gets.. he completely hates me |

Question: My dad being unfair what to do? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 12:14 PM PDT So I'm 21 years old, I live with both of my parents. I have a brother who is about to be in Elementary school in a few months. I have been doing everything around the house from cleaning up the whole house, to teaching my brother to cooking. To help out. I am not working because my mom doesnt want me to work until my brother goes to school. I always start my day around 11:30 am because I like to spend 2 hours to myself because I am watching my brother and doing stuff around the house until 10/11 PM. My dad tells me why does it take me 2 hours to get my day started when I do 'nothing'. I have no breaks during the day unless its eating time. But I'm constantly doing something. My dad doesnt see it because I'm not working and thinks all i do is sit in front of the TV and go on my phone. How do I fix this? I've been trying to move out to get out of this situation but now is not the right time due to expenses. |
Posted: 04 Apr 2019 11:31 AM PDT im a twelve-year old girl and I live with my parents and brother. my father always cusses at me and calls me bad things and tells me everything is my fault. he makes me feel so worthless. he threatens me a lot but he hasn't hurt me that badly. my mother also yells at me for no reason and hits me when she's upset. i dont know what to do. is this abuse? thank you for your time. |
Question: Should you return the same hate toward the people who gave it to you? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 11:00 AM PDT To clarify the question more, I'll use what I'm currently trying to understand with my own family. As a child, I witnessed a lot of domestic violence. My dad hit my mom, my two brothers hit their wives, and my brothers have always threatened to cause physical harm to me as a child and even now in college sometimes. Weird to say this but I used to believe that I would happily die from my brothers. If they were to cause harm to me, I would never do it back. However, things have changed and I've realized how much of my negativey and anger comes from. Ever since I went away for college, I started realizing my own flaws and how they could've resulted from. Now that I'm trying to grow as a man, I'm having difficulty getting along with them because I don't ever want to cause the same pain to my significant other or children (thinking of the future haha). How can I show someone love when all they taught me or gave me was hate and violence? Do they deserve it? I find myself asking these questions but would like to hear from others. |
Question: How do I go about telling my housemates to not touch our food? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 10:52 AM PDT I'm currently rooming with my boyfriend, whilst the rest of his family lives in the house. I'm pregnant and get cravings for silly things like popsicles and ice cream. We've had a problem where when he buys this stuff for me, his siblings and cousin will eat it and I won't even get a quarter of it. I'm tired of it but I don't know how to go about handling it. We both are non confrontational and it's not our house so it feels like we have no say. (It's his cousins house but his cousin doesn't pay bills or for food, the parents do, he's 27 years old.) I need advice. My boyfriend and I are not making enough money to move out right now so that's not an option. |
Question: I don t want my kids calling their father s mother Grandma? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 10:49 AM PDT Not sure why but she s never gone out of her way to have anything to do with them. Never calls or gives them anything. When my husband suggest bringing them over she always makes excuses. My husband and her don t have the best relationship either. I asked my children to just refer to her by her first name because it s so weird to call this woman they hardly know grandma. Right or wrong? |

Posted: 04 Apr 2019 09:28 AM PDT My wife acts like she's scared of Our son she rarely ever raises her voice at him, she lets him get away with way too much nonsense. My wife was like " what do you want me to do beat him up" I was like " do something". And she was like " then I would be in jail."Today he walked in the house and was like " you're not gonna like this but it's my last day at this job. I'm quitting because I'm too stressed. I have an interview for another job ".. I was so freaking livid at my bastard son who wanted to quit his high paying job. He wants to work at a burger place downgrading from the office job he had. I don't understand why he would do this. He owes me $4,000 because I used all of my tax money to pay for his car and now I won't get my money back because he quit. But I honestly think he's lying about quitting I think he got fired because he called in too many times. He's called in like 6 times in just one month. He's only been at that job for two months they probably got fed up. Nobody likes to work but money isn't falling from trees so we all have to suck it up and go to work on time and consistently. I told him he's not allowed to drive our cars anymore for any reason and I took away his video games but he doesn't seem to upset about that so I need to make his punishment worse. Our son has a tendency to lie a lot. Plus he had our car yesterday and didn't come straight home after his dentist appointment like We told him to. I told my son not to quit his job and He does it anyway |
Posted: 04 Apr 2019 08:21 AM PDT Originally my mother asked for my step sons address and said they (my mother, sisters and aunt Bella) then somewhere along the line plans got changed and they were sending my wife and I gifts. When I found out they were shopping for us I told them we don't want grandpa and grandma gifts and instead send it for my step sons baby. I am upset because my wife and I always give to my sisters grand kids when they were born, for bdays and xmas and she has 3 kids. We were not talking with her son (my step son) for a while because when he was home he was not motivated and he moved to Houston, TX. and now has a good job. Then they got flooded in Houston during that hurricane and lost everything. My wife and I jumped in with out help from anyone and helped them out and got them back on there feet. Now they had the baby and we went down to see them and we are talking and on good terms. I am not sure what to do about my sisters being so cheap and not understanding. Out of respect for my wife they should give a little something something correct? We never asked for anything when my step son lost everything. My sisters daughter is going to have 1 year bday party for her daughter (my sister grand kid) and we don't know if we should go or go and bring a present for my sister instead of the baby? Are we right and how should we go about this? |
Question: Would you say my brother is Evil at heart? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 07:42 AM PDT Hes 10 years OLDER than me. All my life he has been enabled by my mother whenever he speaks nasty to me and always gives me an attitude. When I was young, I had fat issues and he made fun of me. Always body shamming me and it seems as if my mom invited other family to do so as well. When he was really big like a gym guy, he would occassionaly hit me and not the way most brothers do. He would come home angry about his job and then take it out on me. Mom always said, "ill talk to him. But YOU need to be the bigger person here." Or she would just go, "Oh stop." whenever he was calling me fat. I'm 37 and due to financial set back, had to move back with my mom. My brother NEVER left and now has no friends really. His first girlfriend was a fat girl who wasnt cute at all and SHE dumped him on Valentines day lol. This was when I was about 12 or so. To this day he makes threats, talks shyt, mumbles under his breath. Last year, a girl who lives next door called the cops on him because he was harrassing her all because she didnt want to talk to him. 2 nights ago he told me that he wishes I died in a car accident that occured almost 20 years ago. He has no job and 3 years ago, I got him a job where I work. This was after the summer he tried to come at me with a knife. Because of my mom who was verbally abusive all my life and physically from my ages of 4-20, and would allow my brother to act as "back up" for everything. I never had a girlfriend in my life because they always made me feel like im less than shyt. Im currently still eomplyed at the place and finishing a degree. Ive also been through alot of verbal abuse society has given my due to stigmas and such. I know my living situation as a 37 year old is funny and patheitc at the same time but I know I dont deserve my brother being the way he is. I wish I never had a brother. I got him the job because I took pity on him. Now that MOST of the family has passed away, alot of them were the same as my mom as it seemed to run in the family, I am sorry that they were uncomfortable during theeir last days but in a way, am happy they are gone. 2019 and then on, Im a ruthless mother fcker. |

Posted: 04 Apr 2019 05:57 AM PDT A few years ago my son, then 28 lost his wife and baby in an accident. Obviously that was an extremely difficult time for the while family. You never truly move on from things like that. Eventually my son did find someone new and they have dated for about 18 months. I am very close to his girlfriend, which I really cherish, and she confided in me. My son has been very firm about not wanting to marry again, which she accepted. But he has been very hesitant about having children. She feels like time is ticking. She is 30 years old and would want children in the near future. Which is perfectly understandable. My son still suffers from trauma since the death of his wife and child and because of that I think he fears having to go through something like that again. I would hate for him to end up alone and regret not having children, a partner and a family when he has the chance. He would be a wonderful father who has much to teach and plenty of love to give. I don't want to stick my nose into his relationship business but at the same time I think he is standing in his own way. His girlfriend is a wonderful woman who has been very patient and understanding, given the circumstances. But she has legitimate concerns. Should I try to speak to him? Maybe even my husband can help? Or would that be overstepping? |
Posted: 04 Apr 2019 05:03 AM PDT My 22 year old son moved out to a house he bought his girlfriend moved in shortly afterwards which we don't approve of. He says it's essier for them to live together since she doesn't drive but I don't care it's still not ok to live together before marriage. They are sinning and we would never allow our daughter to do that. I have expressed the fact that I don't like him shacking up multiple times. My son was like " this is the happiest I've ever been in my life." Now he comes over from time to time but it's mostly to get his clothes that my wife washes for him because he doesn't yet have a washing machine. I feel like my son only calls when he needs something. He's so in love and attached to his girlfriend and he's only worried about her. I told my wife " the ground breaking news is he only cares about that girlfriend" because she was so upset when he didn't bring her birthday gift.my wife was like " I'm going to get him I can't believe he would forget to drop off my gift." We even bought him a refrigerator for his new house but he only calls when he has problems like he called the other day because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with his car |
Posted: 04 Apr 2019 04:49 AM PDT She is so cruel she bosses everyone. She won't be around her nephew who is autistic cause she says "he makes me uncomfortable". I avoid this sister whenever I can. I consider her a narcissist. Meanwhile, our mother will enable her and has turned her into the monster she is (she being the sister). She spies on our brother via Facebook all the time. I have to see her Sunday cause some out of town relatives are here. I may have to see her in a few weeks at Easter though I am hoping to get out of that. How do I act when seeing her like this weekend to avoid falling victim to her narcissism and cruel behavior? For example, if I take pictures of the family that will be over she will bitc.h at me. I hate her like a little kid hates their sibling. My mother hates some of her family at times so I figure it is okay. |
Question: Why do family conflicts infect many family members more then just the two in the conflict? Posted: 04 Apr 2019 04:37 AM PDT I have an aunt that has been abusive emotionally to her family. In her immediate family the children are adults but one of the three has turned out rotten. In the extended family, my aunt's sister (another aunt), has become consumed with animosity towards the bully sister (my aunt) and towards her their mother (my grandmother) for not backing her and having favorites among the daughters. When I see that aunt, the one who is mad at the mother and bully sister, it is the only thing she discusses. It consumes her like a cancer. On top of that my Dad, the brother-in-law, has become bitter about it though my mother tries to play peacemaker (her family role). I myself feel very nervous by it all. So why is it that when there is a family conflict it poisons every member? |
Posted: 04 Apr 2019 04:31 AM PDT Coach Simon: Yes, all his in-laws know the horrible liar and arrogant man he is. Black death · My mother gave birth to me not my Dad. In case you didn't know, men can't get pregnant. |

Question: What do I do about my useless son? Posted: 03 Apr 2019 10:08 PM PDT He is 27 and never even had a job, but has been to multiple interviews, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Subway, Walmart, and the local grocery store and other restaurants that we have in town. He can't even drive around the subdivision without running over the curb or into somebody's car or mailbox (thank God he hasn't hit a person or animal) so we have to drive him everywhere/anywhere. He walks around talking to himself and smiling, and stares at random spaces, seemingly without any actual focus. I'm 99 percent positive he's never had a girlfriend, and he's without doubt a virgin. He never had any friends in school, and he obviously doesn't now, because he's always at home. My nephew tells me that girls, or should I say young women, these days, are attracted to men who are physically fit, have a full time job that pays AT LEAST $50,000 a year (of course, the more, the better), are assertive, aggressive, and can completely take care of their women (excepting the radical feminists, those crazy c*nts). I just want my wife and I to finally have the house together, alone, and I want my son to have a life too. Why don't I just kick him out? I feel like that'd be accepting failure as a parent. I know lots of kids are taking longer to move out and be independent, even past my son's age, but my son has never even had any kind of job! He can't even drive in a straight line, literally! |
Question: Would you miss 8th grade graduation for a oncne in a life time vacation? Posted: 03 Apr 2019 09:52 PM PDT recently, my family has won a trip to italy, greece and croatia. this is amazing, however i would have to miss my 8th grade graduation ceremony due to the unchangeable dates. in my opinion, it's worth it. i would be going with my mother, and as my parents are divorced, my dad thinks it's a terrible idea and is fighting it qute hard. is it worth it to go on the trip? is 8th grade graduation even that big of a deal? |
Posted: 03 Apr 2019 09:35 PM PDT If someone came to you and spread rumors about your sister to you, wouldn t you come to your sister and tell her about it? Would you keep it to yourself? Question: Should i ditch school tomorrow?? Posted: 03 Apr 2019 09:33 PM PDT so, long story. my dad dies a few years ago. he spent his whole childhood in a coastal city called carmel in california. i live around 3 hours away. i have been in a huge fight with my mo the last couple days and have just felt super overwhelmed with school and fiends and the fight and basically just need to get away. I want to go to carmel tomorrow and just hang at the beach i used to always go to with my dad and go to the bagel shop and the streets we always walked. i have a full tank of gas and 30 bucks on me, which is all i will need. is it worth it to risk making my mom even angrier and going, since we never talk about my dad and i miss him a lot, or should i just play it safe and go to school tomorrow? i have no tests, so its not about missing a test or anything. |

I feel bad for saying it and not thinking it through. |

Posted: 03 Apr 2019 03:21 PM PDT I went on a first date with a guy yesterday and I was uncomfortable at first but everything went great. He was so sweet and a real gentleman. But during our date he had this terrible scent on him that smelled like wet dogs, his clothes appeared to be worn out with stains on them, he had this white stuff all over his mouth, his facial hair did not look groomed or cared for. He appeared to have a heavy smoker because his gums were black and teeth looked like they've not been cared for. All of this made me not want to touch or be close to him. Despite the hygiene problem and his appearance he is an amazing guy. I want to date him but I can't bear the thought of being intimate with him in any way. Should I keep this to myself? I really don't want to hurt his feelings |
