Question: I’m the happiest I’ve ever been but I feel like I’m leaving people behind? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 05:25 PM PST Over the past year I've really come into myself and grown to be a lot happier and enjoying life so much more than I was, I love my friends/ job etc.. however there's some people who I used to consider my "best friends" who I've started to become more distant to? I still do things with them and talk regularly but I can't help but feeling I'm just dragging them along.. don't get me wrong I still love them to bits but I just feel like they're more distant |
Question: Why did ex bf randomly block me? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 05:15 PM PST He never blocked we've been broken up for over a year, here and there i tried to get back with him but I never pestered him. This morning he randomly blocked me from phone, and viber messenger. Last I contacted him was a month ago, I asked how he'd been since I hadnt seen him in church for a month he replied hed been busy and said thanks for you checking in hope you're well too. I'm actually driving to Glendale now to do grocery shopping. I aid well if you have time and would like to meet let me know :) he said it won't work today, I have to rush back to pick up dad, take him to alteration which closes at 5 and is in opposite direction i just said okay. Then he asked what is new from grad school? i told him and he said very nice, very good, good for you and I didn't say anything else. So the convo was good and was beginning of December, we have had worse conversations but he's never blocked me and if he did after a heated argument later that day unblocked me. The only things that's crossing my mind is I was on a singles site yesterday, where I also met him and I told him i usually don't log onto sites like that today was random that i met you. But yesterday I logged on and a guy was new and had my ex bf's age, exact height and name was wide_shoulder which also my ex has. This guy messaged me asking to talk on messenger i said ok but we missed eachother so he messaged saying sorry i missed your message here is my number text me lets talk tomorrow and I responded saying we don't know eachother yet so I cannot move onto texting already. So the only thing that happened was that which actually explains perfectly since this morning right after i replied to him at 9:30 am, my ex blocked me at 10 am?? Wth??? He also always stares at me in church, comes out with me and says hi and when I tried going back he said I'd hurt him etc and I guess he was trying to make me earn to get him back the asking to meet up was after that and him coming down the stairs constantly saying hi, staring at me, winking at me. What the hell does all this mean??? Why would he out of the blue block me? And especially after that singles website incident? |
Question: What do you do when you’re incapable of making female friends? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 04:35 PM PST It's so hard for me to make female friends. I'm the coolest woman you would ever meet. I real and I never stab anybody in the back. I don't get why people switch up on me so quick. One minute we are great, the next they blow me off. There have been times girls wouldn't invite me places. They would say their not going somewhere, and end up posting photos with them there. Females choose friendships with other women over me. I don't get it. |

Question: Does she not want to be friends anymore???? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 02:28 PM PST So something has been bothering me alot lately. Im a dude and i had a really good friend from work. We used to talk all the time, and she really enjoyed my company. She would always look soo happy when we were around eachother. Well sadly someone who works on our floor made a complaint saying that we spend our whole shift talking and not doing our work. Since we have different managers, her manager told her its best that she doesn't talk to me anymore or else her job could be in Jeopardy. One of my friends told her that i really want to speak to her, but she said " i would love to talk to him but everyone is watching me, so i want things ti calm down before we talk. " I used to see her all the time in the hall, but now she just sits at her desk really quiet. She still said HI to me in the hall on Thursday when i saw her. but i noticed that today she said absolutely nothing to me. She wouldn't even look at me. I past her in the hall but she waa just looking down at her phone. Plus i kinda gave her a dirty look. I felt kinda sad because we have always been good friends at work, but today we were strangers. Does she not want to be friends with me anymore???? Is it over?? |

Question: Would you consider this person to be a bad guy? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 11:00 AM PST Tyler: He became a marijuana dealer so he could make enough money to impress his former high school buddies(that he had crushes on) who turned their backs on him, once Tyler made a lot of money selling ounces of marijuana he was able to get back on good terms with his old high school buddies and treated them out to meals at good restaurants as an apology for not being a highly sophisticated person like their other friends were, once Tyler made more money selling marijuana he took them out for road trips and trips to the mall. One day Tyler found out that an another old classmate (Colton) who he disliked got arrested for child molestation in the first degree it inspired Tyler to give up selling marijuana and realized he was in the wrong for doing so, Colton raping a child inspired Tyler to find peace with himself and to make better choices in the future, Tyler also realized that having lots of high status friends isn't everything and decided to cut ties with them and to focus on his true friends. Tyler also wanted to be his old self again and to focus less on other people for his happiness. |

Question: How do I deal with bullying/teasing about coming onto someone who didn’t want me? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 10:05 AM PST On NYE a very popular older boy (I'm in high school) kissed me or maybe I missed him? I was really drunk and can barely remember but all I know is we ended up in the bathroom and I took of my clothes and he took off his trousers. He ended up backing out saying he didn't want me and left me in there and my friends (who I'm not that close with so can't confide in) found me naked and helped dress me. I was sobbing at this point not really knowing what was happening (I was VERY drunk). I was crying and crying and pretty much everyone there knew. Now a lot more ppl who weren't even there know and I start school again soon and I know that I'm going to be teased and called desperate for it bc he's a popular boy so he doesn't get any blame. I just don't know what to do - I've been crying over it for weeks and can't tell anyone. I'm not a popular girl and don't have any best friends to lean on. Thanks. |
Question: Do you find this as disgusting as I do? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 09:56 AM PST I am a college student. In one of my classes we were told to do a class project the would "Enhance our knowledge of the world". We choose a project that was a test. The athletic director of the college, a guy, had an opening for an assistant. My classmate Betty is very flat chested (A cup). We had Betty apply for the job. Betty has an A grade point average. She has volunteer coached several college sports teams and has been a player on several college sports teams. She had a resume that detailed all her sports experience. Betty's interview lasted one half hour and they ask her many questions about sports rules and the sports teams she liked. She answered every one of the questions My classmate Nancy bought the biggest bra she could find (G cup) and stuffed it with tissue. She wore a blond wig to the interview for the job. She wore a sweater that showed off her big boobs and she wore Daisy Duke style shorts. She had no resume and no sports experience and no interest in sports. She had a C grade point average. He interview lasted 5 minutes and mostly considered of whether she could work on weekends. We all learned a great lesson from this and it really enhanced our knowledge of the world. Nancy got the job offer. I think that is disgusting. Is it legal to discriminate in hiring because of boob size? |
Question: Is our friendship over???????? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 09:56 AM PST Im a guy, and im good friends with this girl From work. We met last year and we get along great. She works as a secretary, and i have to deliver documents to her once in a while at her desk. We work on the same floor, and we always joke around. But someone put a complaint to a supervisor saying that she spends her whole shift just talking to me and not doing her work. But she always does her her work, and i talk to her for maybe 15 minutesmax. She was told my her supervisor that she is not allowed to talk to me anymore or else she could be fired. I have a friend who works near her, apperantly her personality has changed alot. She told myp friend that " she would love to talk to me but she is being watched right now." I worked near her today for 10 mins, but she didn't say a word to me and she was just concentrating on her work but she looked frustraited so i never said anything. Is our friendship completely over???????? |
Question: Should my friend apologize? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 08:34 AM PST I recently got into an argument with a good friend. She and I said some equally rude things to each other, but in the end it was a petty argument. So after a day or two I reached out and apologized through text. I told her i was sorry for what I said and that I was out of line. She replied with "Thanks for the apology." That just made me angry. Is it weird that she didn't apologize too? We both said mean things. Should she also be apologizing or am I overthinking it? |

Question: What is masculine and acceptable when it comes to the behavior of a 23 year old? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 07:21 AM PST For some reason most people question my sexuality with just a look at me mostly men but women seem to like me. I am not gay but even my father tells me "your mother has you like a girl" when he asks me to hang out and party because I prefer to stay home or choose not to go certain places. I wear regular fit jeans and because I do crossfit my clothes never seem to stay loose fitting.I also wear stud earrings and a superman/Clark Kent design of glasses. |

Question: Sorry flowers for russian? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 07:05 AM PST I have a Russian neighbor, a woman in her 50ish, and would want to apologize for the noise we made last night. I already know I can't give an even number of flowers. And I read yellow is about divorce and red roses would be too intense. So could I give her white tulips, say 9, 11 or 13? Any suggestions? |

Question: Why do people say trust is important in friendships? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 06:11 AM PST I feel it sounds good in theory. In practice however, I cannot trust most of my friends (I trust only a few select ones) but that doesn't mean I am not friends with them. I feel friendships are based more often on self interest rather than trust. And trust to me develops only in long term, not in short term friendships..... |
Question: Someone defriended me because of my age? Posted: 06 Jan 2019 12:29 AM PST So I'm 20, almost 21. Female. I just moved to another state for a fresh start. On the second day I met a really cool woman at a coffee shop and we hit it off instantly. She didn't look a day over 28 but it turned out she was 35. I didn't tell her my age, not because I didn't want to, just because I didn't think to. After only a few days of hanging out I met a lot of her friends. We started hanging out almost every day and we were starting to become close. This had all happened within a few weeks. So I remember the last night we hung out, we were in my studio apartment and we were talking, I don't remember about what. Somehow the topic of our conversation became about age. Then she asked me, "By the way, how old are you?" "Twenty," I said casually, like it was nothing. I thought it was nothing. But apparently it wasn't. Her eyes widened and she started talking about how I was too young to hang out with her and how I didn't have enough life experience to hang out with her. She said I was still a baby and too young to hang out with her. After that she just left and I haven't heard from her since. I find this odd because I don't know how an age difference is this big of a deal. In my opinion age is just a number. Where is she coming from? |
Question: How to deal with eating lunch alone in high school? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 11:59 PM PST I eat lunch alone every day because I have no friends. When I'm done eating, which takes less than 5 minutes, I go to the restroom. Then I stand near the courtyard waiting for lunch to be over. Every day, I have to stand there for 20+ mins because lunch is thirty minutes long. All the tables in the courtyard have "cliques" that sit there. I hate when people walk by and see me just standing there like an idiot. My classmates think I'm weird and don't want to be my friend. |
Question: Would you ignore someone if they ignore you? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 11:54 PM PST Would you do it if they ignore you so they can see how it feels to be ignored ? |
Question: How do I deal with this? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 11:12 PM PST I have a very complicated life. I've known my friend for 2 and a half years. I've been in love with him for almost 2 years. I had no intentions of developing feelings for him, as he wasn't my favorite person for a while. He knew how to push my buttons, but I was always attracted to him since the first day I saw him so I think a lot of my anger towards him was sexual tension. Anyway, I know his wife and kids and they love me and I love them and I respect the situation. I don't think my friend nor his wife knows how I feel about him, although I think they both have an idea that I'm emotionally attached to him. I have a boyfriend now and we've been together a few months. He's met my friend and his wife a couple of times. The first couple of times, my friend didn't seem interested in speaking to my boyfriend other than shaking his hand and saying hello. Another time, they managed to talk about what they both do for a living, but that was it. My boyfriend recently told me he thinks my friend's wife is "hot" and when we didn't see them last weekend, my boyfriend said he missed my friend's wife. He thinks I dislike my friend's wife and that's not the case at all, but him thinking she's hot made me even more jealous of her (which makes no sense, since I'm dating my boyfriend and she's not lol). My boyfriend even referred to my friend as a "b*tch" because he was telling my brother he thinks "this b*tch's wife" is hot. How do I deal with my jealousy over this woman? We're in our late 20's, my friend and his wife are in their late 30's. Do you think my boyfriend suspects my feelings for my friend and that's why he's messing with me? I have given no reason for him to suspect these feelings since I barely ever talk about my friend. |
Question: Which one of us is bigger? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 10:10 PM PST |
Question: Do you think this is odd? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 10:05 PM PST I have this friend who I've known for 2 and a half years. I wouldn't call us "close" per se, as we don't speak every week nor do we see each other every week, but when we do get around each other, there's a bond. Well, he's married and has a family and I've always respected that, of course. Last year, he and his wife took his kids, myself and my mom (as well as another couple and their kids) out for lunch for my birthday. Him and his family and the other couple and their family normally do that anyway, but this time he included myself and my mom since it was my birthday weekend and he paid for everything. When we were all sitting down, he first said he was going to sit next to his son (who was on the other side of the long table), but next thing I know, he sat down right in front of me. I've seen two photos of him with his family and some friends at the same restaurant, at the same table (they always get the same table in the private room) and in both photos, he's sitting next to his wife, but when we went, his wife was sitting on my side of the table, 2 people down from me (so not near him). Do you think it's odd that when I go to lunch with them, he wants to sit close to me, rather than her? This has happened a lot in the past. For instance, we used to work together (we both work at separate places now) and whenever we'd both be off early and would be grabbing a meal at work before we both left (as well as a few other coworkers), he'd ALWAYS sit next to me...no matter what. One time, I was on lunch break at that job and he knew he wouldn't have time to take a lunch break, so he grabbed something to eat real quick and sat at my table with me (just us two) despite there being many other tables that were open. I MIGHT be overthinking the situation, but these are things I've picked up on over the time I've known him. He just seems to want to be near me in a group. No, I'm not the wife LOL! |
Question: Why is someone treating me this way? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 09:44 PM PST Ok so I work at a retail store and I used to be good friends with one of my workers. We would play video games, we could cut up and joke. But for some reason, he just stopped talking to me and barely tried to acknowledge me. I don't recall doing anything to upset him. And since then we have distant ourselves. And last week he called the department I was working in and I answered and he just hung up because I wasn't someone else who was working in that department he was friends with (which I'm also friends with them too). It's been almost a year and he's still doing it and I don't know why he's still acting that way when I never did anything to make him mad in the first place. |
Question: Why do people dislike me? How can I get at least some people to like me? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 09:34 PM PST I was bullied from K-12 and a little bit in community college. When I started my first job a few months ago, I thought everyone was cool with me but then I find out that almost all of them went to a party without me, even one of the other newer employees. I've never been to a party in my life and I'm 20. Also guys I'm interested in never like me back. Ive had a relationship longer than 1 month but I met them all online. I just feel like I'm wasting my life and I'm not happy. I want to be like everyone else and I want people to turn to or interact with. I also have adhd unfortunately. I know it affects things but I've seen people with worse adhd have friends and partners. Confidence, picking the right people, and being friendly like everyone says is not cutting it. Especially confidence. As long as you don't complain about everything it doesn't matter. Also how anm i supposed to pick the nice people when nobody seems to be genuine. So how should I be to get people to stop disliking me? |
Question: Question for non-religious or liberal? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 09:17 PM PST You meet a friend who you've never been closer to. They have certain strong views that you very very much disagree with but you are very close with this person. The other person very much wants to be friends with you. They know your views and are willing to put their views aside so it won't hurt the friendship. Would you be able to ignore these views or would this influence your friendship? |
Question: My friend asks for favors a lot. Please read.? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 09:07 PM PST I have a friend and she asks me for soooo many favors. Just this month, she has asked me to watch her cats while she was away fro a week and to take her daughter to school for 4 days this week. She also invites me to her all girl get togethers and although im flattered that she includes me sometimes i just dont want to go because i have nothing in common with the women that go to these. I say im not going to go and my friend gets upset about this and starts questioning me about why im not going and how come i didnt tell her sooner. I feel that im frends with her mostly out of guilt and obligation. Please help. She also has really high standards for me and i feel like she judges me all the time. For instance i was single for a while by choice and she kept trying to set me up on dates. I feel she doesn't respect my choices, because they are no the choices that she would make herself. |

Question: He wants a relationship but I don't? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 08:33 PM PST I developed a crush on my friend's friend for a while now. Long story short, she planned to introduce us by inviting me when they were hanging out. We became very good friends instantly cuz we got along so well. I never wanted a relationship with him. It was one of those crush where I just wanted to get some and dip. 3 months of constant hanging out, he told me that he really likes me. We went on couple dates and last week slept together. I could tell he wants a relationship so I didn't contact him since and he texted me saying if he has done anything wrong and what is our status since I completely shut him out. What should I do in this situation? I am 23 and he is 22. |
Question: A co-worker of mine asked to see my penis.? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 08:22 PM PST Do you think it's ok to show a female co-worker my penis? She and I get along great at work and have hangout before. The other night she asked if I would show her my penis. I'm 16 and she is 15. She says she has never seen one before and hopes I will show her since we are such good friends. Should I do it? And is it ok to ask to see her breasts in exchange? Since I've never seen a topless woman in person. |
Question: What do I do about my annoying friend? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 07:53 PM PST So I only have a few friends, and one of them is the most annoying. So, she hates when I give her any sort of advice. When she is confused and doesnt know what to do, I tell her and she gets mad. Also, she tends to ask me if I'm mad which is one of my pet peeves. If I say yes (I only say that when she is throwing a fit) she leaves me alone. If I say no, she keeps asking and saying things like "I know you are" until I'm annoyed. And then she gets mad at me and acts like I was being rude to her. If she knows something bothers me, she does it. If i do something that bothers her (something simple like sipping through a straw) she yells at me to stop immediately. She also thinks shes nicer than me and gets mad when people call her conceded or selfish (which she is) she gets mad at them. She tends to say she hates me when shes mad. Sometimes she gets physical and has left a few scars on my arms. Please help me! I dont want to leave her because my mom would get mad at me and I would not have any real friends. (Ps she has bipolar disorder and anxiety) |
Posted: 05 Jan 2019 07:36 PM PST I completely cut off this friend with no explaination. She was a bit of a gossip queen and sleeps around with single guys and taken men. She became friends with my ex who emotionally abused me and she knew about it. Funny thing is how she never told me about becoming his friend because she is gossipy and she completely avoided telling why they are friends. What's your thoughts/opinions on "friends" like that? I don't trust her. |

Question: Should I be feeling some type of way or am I just looking to far into this ? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 07:11 PM PST So I consider a tight group of friends family. I will do for them as much as I can when I can if need be. However I have one friend who I asked for a huge favor regarding to be a cosigner on something. I understand the risk he takes on it. I even told him we could make a legal binding paper that I would be responsible if anything was to happen. He denied me and as hes told me before, that when these situations arise he dosent use emotions in it. Which I can respect and understand fully cause I need a cosigner to family f-ing me over. I get some burnt him in the passed and that's why he leads the way he dose. However when he needed a place to live I shared my room with him for him to crash. I gave up the room to him when he would bring chicks over. I borrowed 150$ from him once and paid him back the next week as agreed. So it's not like I'd burn him and hes just signing on an lease because my credit sucks he has to put up no money I even told him I'd pay him. He knows I'm currently going through a rough living situation and yet he seems to just blow me aside but when he needs something I go above and beyond. I am butt hurt that someone I called my brother wont help me out. |
Question: Should I move on from my group of friends? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 06:51 PM PST So my friends and I would often have parties at my house over the weekends and everything was fine until I found out they were hanging out without me. Now, I wouldn't really care much if it happened maybe a couple of times but now they hangout and have fun and don't even bother to ask me if I'd like to hangout. I've been friends with a couple of the people in the group and my best friend since elementary so it really confuses me. The thing that really upset me is when I went to the hospital due to a seizure and they asked me how I was doing and if I'm okay but then went on to ask when I would be free to have something at my house. That just shocked me coming from people who I've known for a long time. After this they have still continued to sort of hint at when I'll be better so they could come over. The biggest thing of all is that the person who I'm closest with in the group didn't even bother to send me one text asking if I'm okay. I clearly see that they aren't good friends but how do you just move on from people you've known for so long? |
Question: Is she sad because of me???? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 06:48 PM PST Im a guy, and im good friends with this girl From work. We met last year and we get along great. She works as a secretary, and i have to deliver documents to her once in a while at her desk. We work on the same floor, and we always joke around. I make her smile and laugh all the time, all my friends like her because she has an amazing personality. But someone put a complaint to a supervisor saying that she spends her whole shift just talking to me and not doing her work. But she always does her her work, and i talk to her for maybe 15 minutes max. She was told my her supervisor that she is not allowed to talk to me anymore or else she could be fired. I have noticed that she always looks bored and sad just sitting at her desk. More than 2 weeks ago she deleted me from facebook, that way people think that me and her dont talk anymore. I have a friend who works near her, apperantly her personality has changed alot. She has become very quiet and she always looks upset. We used to be good friends but now we act like strangers. My friend adam told her that i miss talking to her and she said " i would love to talk to him, but my supervisors are keeping a close eye on me, so i want things to calm down before we talk." Does she miss having me around??????? Any advice????? |
