Question: Is Disney Circle going too far? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 02:03 PM PST I m a 19 y/o still stuck living with my parents for financial reasons and they just recently bought the Disney Circle device. Disney Circle has the power to moderate and restrict internet to any device connected to it regardless of who owns it. As an adult I feel my privacy is being invaded by this device and as far as I m aware there s no way to remove myself from the programs dictatorship. Have my parents gone too far? Is there a way to free myself as an adult? |
Question: My mom is trying to set me up for failure? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 02:02 PM PST My mom has already made it obvious that she's putting me out as soon as I turn 18 but she won't let me get a job so I can support myself when the time comes. It's like she wants me to depend on her for the entirety of my life so she can rub it in my face that I was once codependent. My bio dad is in prison and she rubs that in my face too. She says I'm just like him and I'm not going to amount to anything in life. My grades are dropping because she won't let me sleep because she's constantly making me babysit all hours of the night while she goes out drinking. She always tells me to suck it up when I try to express my feelings to her. Skmetimes I jmagine myself killin her while she sleep or just beating her in the head until she understands the pain I go through everyday because of her. She treats my baby brother like a god and me like ****. I've put bleach and roach spray in a cup of her alcohol when she told me to fix her a drink but I backed out of it because my baby brother loves her and I don't want him to go through the pain of losing a parent. I've considered suicide but i have so many things that i want to see. I can't keep friends because she doesn't let me do anything or go places because she thinks I'm going to get pregnant. I want to die like really bad but then I don't and then I think about killing her but then I feel bad for my baby brother. I don't know what to do. |

Question: How do I tell my parents I have a boyfriend? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:58 PM PST I'm 20 years old and I live out of state for college. I've dated guys previously but never been in a serious relationship. Untill now that is. We are still in the honneymoon face of our relationship and but I think it's time to tell my parents. The problem is my mom has cero pokerface and is probably going to start planing our wedding as soon as she hears the news. Persionally (and I'm sure my boyfriend would agree) I don't see myself geting married untill after graduation which is still 4-5 years away. On top of that I am counting on a "my baby's growning up" cryfest of apocalyptic proportions. No mater how I tell them I can also count on my dad being extreamly awkward and pulling an embarasing "dad joke" about my boyfriend, my childhood or when he was our age. (This will of course continue for as long as we're all alive) It could be worse, I know. But; How do I limit myself from this awkwardness? Right now I feel like my best option is to tell them by carrier pigeon. ;) P.s. I'm going home in 2 weeks. Do I tell them then in person, when there is no escape, or before then in the hopes that everyone has calmed down? |
Question: Do you have any closely related family you haven't spoken to in over a decade? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:57 PM PST I have a brother I last spoke to in 1998 when out mother died. I am wondering how common this is. He was a toxic person so I just stopped contacting him after she died though there was no formal fight. Also my mother had a sister she had a fight with and never spoke to again (the sister didn't even come to our Mom's funeral). So I have a set of 3 cousins I don't know (last saw them as elementary school kids). She had a brother she seldom spoke to but did occasionally. He came to her funeral so I returned the favor when he died 3 years later but haven't seen any of his children since (that was in 2001). |
Question: I can't stand my mom? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:55 PM PST Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything she has done for me and care about her, but I'd be much happier if I lived away from her, maybe just visit her every now and then. You might think I'm a heartless bastard, but imagine, when I'm alone at home I get to play music pretty loud, cook, clean and have a very positive, relaxed mood. When mom comes home, if it's friday and I've cleaned around, first thing she will do is find a spot I missed and start complaining about how I can't do anything right. If she asks me for help and I do something not like she wants me to, she will get very mad, even for the slightest mistake. Let's say I'm cooking, she will get in the middle of what I'm doing and tell me it's not right or will want to do it her way in a rude manner. She always finds a way to embarrass me about little things, and she says that I act like I'm 7 because I'm too emotional and everything she does or says really gets to me. Even when I'm having a casual conversation with her she will find a way to criticize me. Am I the problem or is she? What do I do? talking doesn't help |
Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:53 PM PST My mother is not close to her family and so growing up I was not allowed to see them at holidays. I was used as a pawn as my mother was blinded by her anger and hurt. Now as an adult I reach out to her family and some years they accept a visit but other years they don't. I think they see me as a 2nd tier relative (nice but not that close so not a priority). The rest of her family gathers. My mother does not go (she is polite at weddings and funerals but makes no effort to her siblings and their families otherwise). So here at Christmas I feel great hurt if it is a year I don't see them. I feel that shame and hurt that I felt in childhood when my mother wouldn't let me go. During the rest of the year I can move on better but at Christmas the hurt is felt daily if a year where I don't see everyone. How can I get past this? What do I do about these hurts? |
Question: Mom doesn't want to talk to me, am I wrong or is she the problem? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:46 PM PST A few days ago it was my graduation, for which I wasn't very excited at all, because I was having a normal conversation with mom in the car and for one reason or another I started explaining to her that I am overly emotional and little things get to me easily, but it's because when I'm angry I don't do anything and let it bottle up, so when I watch a movie, even the smallest emotional scene will make me cry, or I'll have a meltdown for no reason. She then said that she was afraid of how I would do on my own because I keep acting like I'm 7. I just said "thanks" sarcastically and shrugged it off, but it ruined the night for me. Today she asked why I was so serious, which is nothing new, and she started saying that I'm too negative, then I told her maybe it was because somehow she always finds a way to criticize me when I'm just striking up a casual conversation, and reminded her what she said to me two days ago. Then she started saying that I have a "bitter memory" which is a saying I can't translate from russian, and that I only remember the bad things, then she said "I think I'm just not going to talk to you at all, go talk to your friends" and it hurt me so much, because I was the new girl in school and don't have any friends. She always does this, when I clean the whole house and she comes home, first thing she does is complain because I missed a spot or something, even when I help her, she will go off on me if I do the slightest thing wrong. She also always embarrasses me |

Question: So i don't love my dad anymore and i'm 15 and i just made this crazy dream? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:37 PM PST : basically my mother (who's a narcissist, im not making this up) killed my dad and i even found his arm in our garden...so she hired someone who looks like my dad and has kind of the same voice (but it's an annoying voice.. ) as him but is not my dad. i mean that would explain everything right? that would explain why i CAN'T love my father anymore. and basically this ''imposter'' doesn't know me.. so all they do is sit around the house all day, pretending to know me, pretending to LOVE me, doing the same actions everyday...going to the same places... oh but sometimes he also tells me he has ''friends'' and that's why he's going out. i also found out where he keeps his condoms but i bet that's just so i don't suspect anything. (and all of this is actual reality fyi , except the killing).. but he's old now ... i mean he was younger when i was a kid ..a little kid and that would explain why i can't know for sure if he's my dad.. because it's easier just to just make me forget about him and replace him with some kind of robot.. do you think it's that easy to get away with murder? |
Question: My mom yells or talks a bit rude to me when she is using FaceTime/talking on the phone!!!? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:29 PM PST If I ever go up to my mom and she's talking on the phone or on FaceTime she acts a bit rude to me. For example if I went into my parents room and she was talking to my cousins she would get all loud and make it seem like I was in trouble by saying sentences with unneeded curse words like always. (My parents such as my mom, always uses curse words in EVERY sentence unless she is talking with an adult/someone she doesn't know very well) Also there are many times when I would be talking to my cousins on the phone and my mom would start saying things to make it sound like I did something wrong and in trouble for it. Should I just ignore it? If I don't ignore it and say something to her about it..let's just say I would get in "trouble". My parents don't let me speak my mind about a lot of things and if I try to say something they will say I'm talking back and I would get in "trouble". What should I do?!? |
Question: I hate being the ugly sister? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:23 PM PST Ok so I have an older sister she's tall, in shape, she has curves, her hair is straight and brown, she has rose cheeks and I'm the complete opposite.I'm short, I have a big forehead, acne all over my face,I wear glasses, and I have rough damaged hair (its colour is hideous)my brother is very handsome as well i try to not think about that but whenever I hang out with them, people always say things such as"Are you adopted?"(I'm not),"Omg your sister looks sooo pretty and you're so different" or "I can't believe they're your siblings"or "Why is your sisters hair so glossy and yours is so damaged?" like all the time and it really brings down my self esteem what can I do for people to stop saying these things to me |
Question: My dad has anger issues? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:01 PM PST I love my dad I really do, however he is a hypocrite. He often belittles others who can never admit they are wrong. He has an explosive temper, has very little patience and never thinks his behavior is wrong unless he thinks it is. One time he put his hands on my mom and I stepped in to intervene. It was then he realized that he was wrong but obviously he doesn't think so because he will make comments under his breath about it. I'm not happy how I handled it I got right in his face and screamed get your hands off her. I was really frightened he would do something more. I know I could have handled it differently and I've been told so by others because they judge me for it. People excuses ( mom included) that it's because he has diabetes. He clearly had issues before because he tells us stories all the time about how he would fight a lot with people. He threagents to take away my sisters phone break up her and her boyfriend when mom isn't around. How do I get my dad to realize his behavior? |
Question: Getting feelings that no one loves you.? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:59 PM PST I'm younger than my brother by a few years but I've always known that I'm a daddy's girl and he's a mama's boy. Whenever we fight, my mom always blames me & when he does something, she never yells at him. She says she loves us equal but I know she loves him more than she loves me. He always makes jokes about my weight, how I look, mostly ignorant things. If I can't do something right, he goes on about how I'm useless or worthless. But I never show that it affects me but it does, my mom never defends me the way a mom should. The only person I feel loved by is my dad, someone who's never hurt me the slightest bit in my whole life. He's never heard him say those things to me and I doubt my mom has told him. I feel like he's the only one who sees me as me and what I'm worth. Whenever they say things like that, I get teary eyed & I hate crying in front of people, especially when I'm getting yelled at . |
Question: Parents not letting me on gamebecause of a missing REMOTE??!? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:56 PM PST I BARELY ever watch tv in my room.My dba mom wont let me on my game because i cant find the other remote. How do i convince her to let me on!? And how tf do i find a MISSING REMOTE THAT HAS BEEN GONE FOR DAYS!? |
Question: How do I make my sister stay the f*ck out of my room? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:53 PM PST She's older and she won't listen to me and barely my mom. She keeps going in there to see my pet guinea pigs and won't ask me. I can't leave them out of my room because our heater doesn't work but we all have space heaters in bedrooms. |
Question: Is my brother abusive? Can siblings even be abusive? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:39 PM PST My brother always threatens me. It used to be things like "You wanna get punched?" Then he started saying "You wanna get hurt?". Yesterday he said "You wanna get stabbed with a pencil?" He also always lies about stuff he does to me to my parents. He also says "Theres something wrong with you" (like in the head) whenever I fight back. He also hits me sometimes. He also abuses our cat by picking him up when he is sleeping and stuff. He also says stuff to me like "Stupid idiot." and just "Idiot" sometimes. This really hurts me because I already have a low self-esteem and I m scared of failing out of classes. This just makes me think I m not supposed to be in advanced classes. It makes me think that I m supposed to be in the classes for kids who are special ed. He goes to college in 4 years. Should I just stick it out? Or should I tell someone? Is this abuse? Or am I just overreacting? |
Question: What would happen if i left home as a minor? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:37 PM PST I'm 17 and I'll be 18 in 2 and a half months. my mother has always beat and punched me and my sister growing up. My boyfriend knows about it and he doesnt like it but last night my mother punched me in the head repeatedly in front of him while my step dad watched. 2 years ago my mother was arrested for domestic violence on my sister who is now moved out. My boyfriend is 17 and he told his mother about my situation and she welcomed me to come live with them. She called the sheriff last night and asked him questions.I'm in the state of Georgia and i want to know if I will be able to leave for a justifiable reason they want me to be able to leave tonight so there isnt much time the police cannot return me to a home where they know i get abused and am unsafe right? We are going to call the police and have them come stand by as i get my things and leave |

Question: Got in a fist fight with my dad? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:25 PM PST Before you throw me under the bus, just hear out what I have to say. I got home a little less than a week ago and the music was LOUD. He is always listening to music even when I am sleeping. So I SCREAMED with all of my voice for him to turn it down, and no not to be rude, so he could even slightly hear me in the first place. Then he threatened to punch me in the face, and I didn't say anything except be kinda rude and walk off. Then I went in and made myself a sandwich and he "play fought" me and started waving his armpits in my face because his gross *** doesn't wear deodorant because he thinks hell get cancer or develop it. So I screamed at him not to and he didn't so I pushed him off me into the wall and I am a little taller than him (I'm 5'6 and 15) and he tried to slap me but I just basically grabbed them and it escalated into a fist fight and I won (I work out a lot and am on the swim team) and he wants me out of the house but I can move in with either my grandma (his mom but she's really young only 55 and she can understand why I can't stand him) or one of my aunts. Can I get in any trouble for this? Keep in mind he is an absolute narcissist and is a conspiracy theorist and is gross humor and extremely vulgar and is basically a 12 year old inside of a grown mans body. And he has bipolar. And he wants me to be like him and even made my first name after HIM. And b4 you call me a bad kid I have all A's and a job and try to AVOID him instead of being rude. |
Question: What is with my mom appearently so desperate to seek my privacy? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:11 PM PST When i I use my phone or laptop and my mother breaks into my room, she will look suspicious and usually said "Take off your headphones!!!" In Spanish. I get nervious when she comes into my room so i tend to act weird, even if i didnt watch anything innappropiate, but she alwaye thinks im suspicious so she told me to do things to get in my way. Why though? Any thoughts? |
Question: I dont want to live with my mom anymore. How do I get out? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:09 PM PST My dad recently died from cancer and I don t want to live with any of my other family members. My mom s been like, "brainwashing" me into not trusting anyone but her because my mom had a fight with other family members about financial stuff when dad was still around. In short, when dad got really sick, everyone wanted to see him and talk about life insurance and what plans he had for me and my mom. My mom thought they wanted to steal life insurance money and other stuff. My mom s been influncing me into not trusting anyone, not even my friends, teachers, and adults etc. I don t want to live with her anymore how do I get out? I m 16 BTW with no drivers License |
Question: Is my mother being unfair? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:06 PM PST So, I m the middle child of my household. I have an older brother who can do almost anything he wants, he is an adult so I find that perfectly reasonable. But, my younger sister can do what ever she wants as well. I have a huge problem with wanting pets, but the pets I am allowed to have are always living in great condition. This Christmas I wanted a snake for Christmas, my parents don t have anything against snakes but they blame me for not being able to take care of my current pets. The only reason they do this is because they don t buy me food for them even when I tell them I need food a month in advance when I see were getting low on food. Yet, my sister on the other hand gets any pets she wants when she wants. And most of the time they end up under my care because she refuses to clean there cages, feed them, have social interaction with them at all. And my mother is considering getting her a dog because she cried. And, she also got a fish on my birthday for free when I had to pay with the money I just got. And, that fish died to neglect when mines still kicking after two years. Is there something I m doing wrong? |
Posted: 03 Dec 2016 11:46 AM PST I was talking to my professor about college and how I'm scared I'm not doing well, she said "Silly girl, you're the greatest role model in his class" aside from the conversation subject, is it bad that she called me silly girl? Did I make myself look bad? |

Question: Does it seem like foster care is a plausible option for me? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 11:15 AM PST My family is a bit broken, but I've always considered myself extremely fortunate for my family. I live with my mom, grandma, uncle, and 2nd cousin and i mean life was fine except for that my mom was never really around that much (not her fault shes a doctor) and she loves us a lot she just doesnt take care of us; i mean shes trying her hardest but i think she must have depression or something. I mean I was okay with this( i just ignored my mom basically but gave her love) up until i was about 13. Id always been depressed but then i was starting to be suicidal. i cut everyday and when i tried to kill myself when i was 14 my mom flipped. now im 16 and my mom had taken me out of school i havent talked to my friends since january (i mean i can text them but i am only able to do that recently) my mom is constantly yelling at me and calling me names and im more sucidal than ever. I love my dad but im not allowed to live with him and id rather not go live with my aunt and uncles because depression is very looked down upon in my family. foster care sucks but im heavily considering it... but idk when i say idk i mean like im ignorant about foster care and idk if id be eligible for it |
Question: HELP! Was I wrong for doing this? Who owes the apology here?? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 10:57 AM PST Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I found out my brother, who is in college, has bed bugs because he had rashes all over his arm. So when I found out, after we went out to eat (we ate at a restaurant) I wouldn't let him come back in my home because i'm terrified of getting bed bugs. He told me that I made him feel bad, and my mom got very mad at me. I wasn't trying to make him feel bad, but I cannot deal with bed bugs. I already had two bumps pop up on my arms the day after Thanksgiving and i'm wondering if I caught them from him because he hugged me, plus my arms have been itching after this too. And I think I spotted a bump on my leg too. My husband said he hasn't had any bumps or itching and I have. So while I did feel bad for treating my brother that way, I am also upset that he didn't even say anything about having bed bugs until AFTER he came into the house. He later said that he did not actually see any bed bugs but his roommate may have. Now i'm wondering if he may have scabies because what other bugs cause rashes? I'm terrified of getting scabies, and have been reading up on it last night and know how hard they are to get rid of. I feel bad for treating my brother that way but i'm also upset with him for hiding his condition with us. I did try to make amends by buying him bed bug spray. My mom told me I shouldn't have reacted that way...she even let him sleep in her bed at her house to prove a point. Do I owe my brother an apology or does he owe me one? Yes this is definitely a real question. My reason for buying the bed bug spray is because, like I said, he is in college, and does not have any money and is not working...my family pays his bills. So if he does have bed bugs, he's been unable to treat them. I went and bought him spray to use because he didn't have money to buy his own, plus we gave him new blankets, sheets, antibiotic ointment, etc...that was my way to try to make amends for making him feel bad, but he put my health at risk! I do NOT have any mental health issues! I am just very concerned for my health. |
Question: My family won't let me grow up? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 10:53 AM PST I'm 13, a teenager, but my family won't let me act my age. Last Christmas I told them I don't believe in santa, because I'm a teenager and he's obviously fake, and they won't accept it. They try to pretend he's real even though they know I'm grown up and don't believe that stuff anymore, and I haven't believed for a long time. Well my grandparents want me to get my picture taken with "Santa" at the mall. I'm 13...going to take a picture with "santa" at the mall, which is meant for the 1-10 year old age group. Help me. I want to act mature and they won't accept. |

Posted: 03 Dec 2016 10:38 AM PST I'm 17. and yes I know you can't legally move out until you're 18 but my mums always making me feel depressed she never says anything good. She expects me to be stuck at home and yells at me if i don't come home before 4. I do most of the chores in the house as shes not in a fit state to be doing any chores, yet she still yells at me just because i want to spend a little time with my friends. I'm not at college or anything, i've decided to start an apprenticeship instead, my interviews on monday and i've been told that if i were successful i'd be finishing very late like at 8. I don't want her to ruin this for me. So far my lifes been pretty miserable because of her. she's locked me in the house for 2 years when i was 13 and social services were involved. I then developed social anxiety and depression which i still have. I wasn't able to go on a public transport without slightly peeing my pants. I've now had enough, i know shes just going to ruin my chance at starting an apprenticeship so I want to leave. does anyone know how? |
Question: Having a miserable life because of my neighbors. What to do? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 10:27 AM PST I have former neighbors that continue to follow me were ever I move just to spread malicious gossip about me. They have been saying that I am stupid and that I am a hypocrite and a racist which I am not. The problem is my cousin knows these former neighbors. My cousin and I don't get along and she has told them private conversations and private secrets that I told her when we got along. Such as I went to a psychic and she told me I needed a cleansing which I didn't believe. I moved in my recent neighborhood about a year ago and everyone starts laughing at me and calling me stupid because these former neighbors have told them to start a fight with me. I don't know what to do because everywhere I move they are going to know where I live because of my cousin. I love my aunt and I have told her about my cousin but she doesn't believe her daughter could do this to me. My cousin will know where I move because my mom talks to my aunt everyday and she is family, I couldn't keep my address away from her. People in the neighborhood always making negative comments without even knowing me just because of my former neighbors gossip and the conversations I have had with my cousin before. I was laid off my job in June and when I told my aunt about it , my cousin told my former neighbors making my recent neighbors now I didn't have a job and now they make comments at me like get a job. I am tired of people making comments or knowing about my life. What should I do? |

Question: Should I be concerned my 4 year old doesn't believe in Santa? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 09:51 AM PST She made a comment that Santa's not real and the elf on the shelf is fake. I've been telling her santa comes down the chimney and bring presents if your a good girl and I asked her if she wanted me to take her to see santa and she didn't seem interested at all. Noone has told her he's not real so I'm not sure if I should be concerned or if my daughter is just very logical and realizes it on her own |

Question: This question is for grandparents: Our 11 year old granddaughter is, well, a brat.? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 09:34 AM PST My son and her mother are divorced and mom lives with new husband far away. My son has her in the summer. He sees her as a child that is being raised to be one of those Gotta have it or else kids. I send her gifts and she never, ever says thank you, or she asks me why I would buy her THAT when she would rather have THIS...kind of attitude. I chat with her on FB at times and even there she is rude. What to say to a granddaughter I don't see very often about her attitude towards me and granddaddy and towards her father? |
Question: Are my parents abusive? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 09:33 AM PST I think my parents are abusing me but I m not sure. There s never been any type of physical violence except for once my mother grabbed me by the jaw so I would listen. Mostly it s just my mother and stepfather emotionally abusing me. At first I thought it was because I did something wrong, but when I looked back I realized that they were only yelling and screaming at me because they know it makes me feel bad. They always shame me and make fun of me, call me fat, ugly, *****, smart ***, etc., call me "mean" or "nasty" when I try to defend myself (and saying that I m delusional, exaggerating, or that they never said or did that), and giving me unrealistic responsibilities such as doing all of the laundry and making all of the meals for my family (I m 12). My real parents are divorced so going to live with my dad and step mom is an option. Please I need serious advice. |
Posted: 03 Dec 2016 09:24 AM PST Today in the morning I was putting my clothes in the laundry basket and then she started yelling on how I can't wash my own clothes and that I'm 18 and I told why you yelling and she kept going on a rant and I yelled at the top of my lungs, which actually made her stop I thought she would've got physical but didn't. I went back to my room to sort my clothes out and now I hear her crying. Ever since I could remember she always had mood problems and is sort of bipolar. Now I'm afraid she might try hurt herself or something what should I do? |
Question: How can I help my brother through this? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 08:50 AM PST My younger brother is now 18, in his last year of high school. He has never had a job in his life. My brother has been going out a lot lately and smokes weed quite often. This results in him sleeping as soon as he gets home from school and then going out late at night after all of us go to bed. He is barely finishing high school, and doesn't go often. He is the laziest person i've ever met and he shows no drive. He is also obnoxiously selfish and only thinks about himself. My parents are frustrated with him and tried to offer him therapy but he refused. He is the youngest of 3, I'm the middle and I have an older brother who is in the Air Force. I guess this all started when he started hanging out with a certain group of friends and then my family picked up and moved so I figured it would end because he was given a fresh start, but it picked up as soon as he found the kids that smoke weed. I dont know what to do anymore. I can't just sit by and watch him do nothing with his life. What can I do for him? |
Question: I need advice on what to tell my 6 yr old step daughter? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 08:42 AM PST So in a nut shell I have a step daughter 2 of them actually the oldest is 6 an for the last yr or so she has been telling me an her dad (my husband) that she has a boyfriend...I know there is a little boy in her class that was very sick in the hospital that her mother took her to visit a few times so that is who she is referring to she has told me an my son (her 4 yr old half brother) that it is her boyfriend an that he has stayed the night with her at her mother's house an all this which very well could be lies I'm not sure all I know is her an my son have been acting...honestly perverted towards each other like kissing on the lips in secret my son was ashamed to tell me is what makes me feel like it wasn't sweet an innocent an also have been caught in sexually suggestive positions that make me uncomfortable...so my question is how can I ask her if she has a boyfriend or talk to her about some of the things she's doing with out offending her or having her tell her mama I was being unfair to her? |
Question: Relationship problems with my mom? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 08:27 AM PST So my fathers a real douche and was super abusive. I begged my mom to leave him at the age of 4. The finally split when I was 13 but he keeps dragging us to court and refuses to sign the divorce papers. Anyway I don't want to live with him but I don't want to live with my mom either. I'm 14 now and I raised my younger brother and my older sister who have a number of mental problems- because of this my now 11 year old brother would punch me until he left bruises, scream he hates me, tell me to kill myself (i'm already suicidal I might add) bite me, scratch me until I bled etc. This is because my mom works from 4AM til 2PM everyday sometimes on the weekend. (My dad don't pay) So my mom does nothing when i'm all bloodied up when she comes home. Even when she's home my brother acts like my dad, he screams at video games and gets so angry hes broken windows, thrown chairs etc.She does nothing. My sister uses her mental issues as an excuse for everything- including taking care of my brother or doing the dishes (shes almost 17 btw) My moms is never home because she's at "work" or going out with her "friends" She later admitted it was so she could see her boyfriend- who she lied about and said was a girl from work. She lied about how they met, his age, everything. THEN OF COURSE she ALWAYS invites him over! AND HE BRINGS HIS 14 YEAR OLD SON WITH THE MENTAL CAPASITIVE OF A DORKY 5 YEAR OLD she never asks me how I feel and only vents to me then makes me feel guilty when I bring it up |
Question: Why does my girlfriend always think I'm attacking her 2 year old son? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 08:27 AM PST Like today I asked her if after work she would like to come home and take a quick nap and then go to the jewelers for her Xmas gift and then go get her son. She said " I can't just leave him somewhere! This isn't a place I can just " leave him" I never said I wanted to leave him, I was trying to tell her it would be quicker if we could just go and come back to get him. Her mom does the same thing, like I accidentally dropped one of his cups and she freaked out on me and got very mad. I've always been good to him, taking him out to eat and to play..... I don't know why they always treat me like I'm against him or attacking him. Help? |
Question: What are nice general Christmas presents for women ? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 08:19 AM PST I am going to buy some people in my boyfriend'a family Christmas presents. I don't know everything that they like so what are some nice presents that I could give them ? Thank you for answering. |
Question: My mom doesn't stop yelling at me and I am confused crying I can't take it anymore? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 08:06 AM PST She always does this and it's exhausting she thinks everything is my fault |
Question: Ladies would you do this? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 07:54 AM PST I will be leaving soon to go to my sisters house to watch my niece while my sister and brother in law go shopping. Since I am just going to her house and coming home later this afternoon I am going to drive barefoot and leave my shoes at home. I hate to wear shoes unless I have too and I don't need shoes to drive my car or at my sisters house. |
Question: Why does my mom get so mad when I talk about my problems? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 07:39 AM PST Ok I can feel she gets mad everytime I do ever since that one time she was tired of hearing me complain. She complains about everything everyday so I don't as much as her at all, when I was telling her thinking I have IBS a long with stomach pains she said I never heard you complain about that. I hide a lot in ever since she yelled at me she could at least be there for me like I'm always there for her I am about to stop though if she keeps acting that way. Why did she even have kids in the first place if she won't be a mom? At least she could of adopted me. I want to slap her everyday. @Gert you're basically calling my mom one to then because I don't complain as much as she does at all, she complains about EVERYTHING yet yells at me for it she is such a hypocrite sounds like you are one to. |
Question: So i don't love my dad anymore and i'm 15 and i just made this crazy dream? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 07:32 AM PST : basically my mother (who's a narcissist, im not making this up) killed my dad and i even found his arm in our garden...so she hired someone who looks like my dad and has kind of the same voice (but it's an annoying voice.. ) as him but is not my dad. i mean that would explain everything right? that would explain why i CAN'T love my father anymore. and basically this ''imposter'' doesn't know me.. so all they do is sit around the house all day, pretending to know me, pretending to LOVE me, doing the same actions everyday...going to the same places... oh but sometimes he also tells me he has ''friends'' and that's why he's going out. i also found out where he keeps his condoms but i bet that's just so i don't suspect anything. |
Question: Are my parents deliberately putting me down? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 06:41 AM PST It feels like my mum and dad are intentionally putting me down, particularly when I'm searching for jobs and considering careers. Just yesterday, I was looking for jobs and throughout the whole time, they said things such as "you'll never get that job in a million years", "you're too good for that job, go for something easier" and "if I was the boss there, I would make sure you'd be banned from the premises". I've always wanted to be a marine biologist or forensic scientist. Science is actually my best subject and I always get A and A* grades (not bragging by the way, this could probably be necessary in this question). I'm in my second year of A-levels and in my first year I took Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. In Biology and Chemistry, I received A-A* grades in the exams, and in Psychology, I got an A in 1 exam and a B in the other. I've also applied for 5 universities which offer Marine Biology courses. However, my parents keep saying things like "You'll never get into that university in a million years", "That university is too hard even for that smartest of people" etc. It feels like they're deliberately putting me down. Do you think they are? |
Question: How do I get my Mom not to hurt me on Christmas this year? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 06:21 AM PST She usually hurts me because she is too mad at family to let me see them. |
Question: My mom brings me down? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 06:17 AM PST My mom is a good mom I guess but It doesn't feel like that. My dad recently died so she's been trying to stretch out more and easily becomes offended- but even before he passed away I still felt the same way, now it's just stronger. I'm 14. I think from getting older I just want independence. I've always felt independent at a younger age. I always did things by myself (because other family issues years ago made me become this). The fact that I don't talk to my mom about my problems when I'm upset makes her mad. Especially now, that she barely allows me to go out. It's my first year in high school. My family all ready stole childhood away from me forcing me to grow up at a young age, I just want to enjoy it my 4 years before adulthood. I admit, I've been upset lately. I don't talk to my mom as much, and that's the way zi like it. Just being able to go in my room, do homework and such in peace makes me feel comfortable and happy. But the moment I ask for something, or ask her to take me to practice it's "how can you expect me to do stuff when you've been giving me you're a** to kiss. You're being a selfish brat. Stop being lazy." I've been hesring those words from her for 6 years. I hope you guys can understamd why I want and need seperation from her. I do belive she's a good mom or wants to be- but now I'm jhst at a point where her presence makes me upset. What should i do |
Posted: 03 Dec 2016 06:10 AM PST I was so embarrassed. My Dad is an alcoholic and showed up DRUNK on Thursday at his father-in-law's funeral. Everyone was commenting as my step-mother is Italian so everyone is in everyone's business. I get so embarrassed when he does this. He was drunk at Thanksgiving apparently also (I was with my Mom so wasn't there). Even my Mom's brother who is an alcoholic wouldn't show up drunk for a funeral at 10:30 AM !!!!! How can I get him to see this and maybe get help? |
Question: I have answered the maximum number of questions? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 05:30 AM PST I can't answer anymore questions, do I need to ask questions more often so I can get more points so I can answer more questions? |
Posted: 03 Dec 2016 05:18 AM PST There was a sub. and I put my name on the attendance sheet. She called our names and then looked for me and since she didn t see me, she basically said that I wasn t there and she put me as a cut. Then I came home and my parents asked me about it and I told them I was in the bathroom while she called and sent up the attendance sheet. Do you think I m gonna get in trouble? I m so scared because I ve just gotten out of big trouble and I don t wanna get in trouble rn because Christmas is here and next month is my 16th Birthday. Question: How close to your family (immediate and extended) are you? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 04:29 AM PST I'm close to by mom and brothers. But I've never really been close to my dads side of the family. I was kind of close to my grandparents, but they have both passed away. I'm kind of close to my moms side of the the family, but not as close as we used to be. As time has gone by, we don't see in person as much or contact each other as much. With my cousins (age range from 24- 52), most have spouses and kids of their own, plus jobs, so they are busy with their own lives. Some of my cousins live out of state, so it isn't as easy to see them. And when my grandma passed, it seems like we see each other less. We still keep in contact through Facebook, but it's not the same. Maybe once or twice a year, someone may have a little party. Like around what would have been my grandma's birthday or just to get together. |
Question: How to confront sister about her being a horrible roommate? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 01:29 AM PST Alright, so I'm 17 and live at home with my mom, sister, and my sister's girlfriend. My sister is 24, her girlfriend 25. They are extremely inconsiderate and hypocritical and just messy and lazy. She bangs on the wall of her room if I got home late from work and am making a little bit of noise in the kitchen, but then its alright if she parties and drinks until 2 or 3am being extremely loud when I have school in the morning. She and her girlfriend treat the house like they own it when neither of them even help with the bills. The living room is literally filled with half of their junk that they never use and they are CONSTANTLY watching T.V. in the living room, using my xbox since I never have time to play it, and even if I did, they would probably be hogging the living room. So, please give me some advice on how to confront this situation and how to deal with it. my sister is 24, her girlfriend is 21*** |
Question: 6Th grade girl Say No without hearing the question.? Posted: 03 Dec 2016 12:33 AM PST It could be as simple as "Do you want a snack?" or to play a game, do a project, ANYTHING, and the first thing out of her mouth is a rather snarky "NO!". Sometimes without even hearing the questions end. Within 5-15 minutes she usually changes her mind and asked to join in, but how do I curtail this behavior? It is very frustrating and takes up A LOT of time throughout the day. Time we could have been doing the fun thing she decided to do after wasting a ton of time deciding ahebdidbt want to do it. I would understand if it was homework or chores at home etc.... But this is fun stuff! SHE GETS TO CHOOSE the fun stuff and its straight up refusal everytime. She has a hard time initiating clubs or sport activities too. I feel like there is some insecurity there but she doesn t share much. I know her family life was difficult but she is in a really good spot now. Any advice would be great! |
