Anyways I want new friends. I want to be in the popular group. Those girls aren't the mean jerks like the movies. They are just very known and nice and fun. There's like 16 of them. I want to be apart of that. There's like a few of them in each of my classes and i sit next to some. Don't tell me not to become friends with them because I want to. I need help becoming their friends because I don't know how. Like how do I act? What will make them want to become my friend? How do I approach them? How do I start talking them? And how do I join their group? My goal is to start talking to them on Monday so answer all of these questions honestly and as fast as you can |

We always tell each other good morning/ good night and have helped each other through a lot. My best friend (girl) was introduced to him through a con that we went together at and we all hung out and had a good time. Even before she met him when we would have sleepovers she would be like "who are you texting oh!! I ve seen him at school before can I have his number??" (We ve graduated since then) And I was just like uuuh and like ignored her. Since the con she still asks me for his number I don t know why she just didn t get it at the con when we were all hanging out. She s pretty and has a boyfriend and has more friends than she could ask for I don t get why she wants his number so bad. I guess I feel like if I give her his number that he will slowly start to talk about her all the time and how great she is and loose interest in me. He s leaving for the Air Force in a few months too idk I like having a friend to myself and every time something like this happens it s like she acts like she needs to get in on it too does that make sense? Also even if the ref didn't see him shove me why would I be mad and shove him back if were winning 35-0 first quarter and I just made a sack????? |

Before i went to a catholic school for middle school but i decided to go to public school for highschool so only one of my friends from ms went to this new school with me. We ended up being in different units which means we have zero classes together. School started a little more than a month ago and i still havent found or made any good/best friends. I socialize with the people around me and i try to participate in group discussions but i just cant get any. Yes i have plenty of "friends" (atleast 20) so im not the shy kid in the corner but i wouldnt consider them to be people that i could hang out with outside of school or invite over to my house... My hs has 2500 kids (650 freshmen) so the amount of options are endless im just struggling to find the right ones. I dont know if maybe there is something about me that people dont like... Idk what to do. I dont like the feeling of not having a strong friend group that will always support me because i became so accustomed to it at my old school. |

I am not like that now nearly as much (I still am a little) but I don't socialize outside of family because everyone hurt me as a kid so I assume they will as an adult. Posted: 03 Oct 2015 04:19 PM PDT Hey, so this is weird to ask on yahoo answers but I can't talk to people in real life about my feelings as it's just hard, unless it's a guidance counselor from school or something but you know their not always there. But basically I have a friend, and we have been friends for about 10 years now and I can easily say he is my best friend. Anyways I'm 16 and hes 15 so obviously were kind of growing up sense we first met each other, and the problem is he got a girl friend and we went from probably hanging out for 4-6 hours a day together to now seeing each other once a week maybe for a couple hours because hes hooked on this girl. And I don't want to say it's his or the girls fault, but IDK i've just been REALLY sad recently because he was kind of one of my few friends, mainly because I push away a lot of other people as friends because I have a little bit of trust issues because of my past. Now I'm not sad enough where I'm thinking of suicide or **** like that because I know some ****** up people who would be thinking that ****, but I've just been sad probably have cried like 4 times so far when thinking about the past we have had together. So I'm here just asking for advice because all I've been feeling like doing is just laying in bed all day. p.s. On separate occasions they individually tried to maneuver their way into getting a ride from me as well as trying to convince me to let them drive it "just down the street" a little. Of course I said no to all the asking and coaxing. This irritated the hell out of me. What is up with their behavior? I would never ask someone for a ride repeatedly or try to inch my way into someone's driver seat. What the heck is this about? I said yes and I was really excited. So she gave me the piccolo and I started playing. Then my friend noticed and she was all over me. She kept on trying to snatch it out of my hands and kept on asking where I got it. I really didn't want to tell her but I did anyway. She begged the band teacher and got the other piccolo. I'm pretty upset since she always steals my spotlight. As soon as I get something new she always has to copy me. Honestly, I'm better at flute than her and she never practices. She kept on trying to show off to people and she acted like she's played piccolo before (she found out what a piccolo was once I told her). I felt special when my band teacher gave it to me, but now I don't. I want to be the only piccolo player. I want to feel special for once!!! She always does this and it's my biggest pet peeve. Posted: 03 Oct 2015 01:13 PM PDT im a 16 year old guy, and I think i've been seriously depressed lately. i come from a nice family well known around my area (which is a small town where literally everyone knows everyone) and we lost a lot of money in the past 5 years. unable to buy a house, we've been renting and i've lived in 3 different houses this year. i know to some people these problems seem little, but for someone who has been used to stability, i'm not handling it well. I have to lie to all of my friends about my money problems, and my parents fight all the time. to top it all off, im gay and i know that nobody in my life right now would understand, so i've made the decision to never come out to anyone until i am able to move out on my own and leave my life here behind. im just really sad i guess. i mean, on top of everything else im having to deal with, its just hard to not even be allowed to be myself. so i've decided that i want to go to a good university, study film, and get a job in the film industry (hopefully as a screenwriter), and pay off my loans, and move out on my own, find a group of people i can be myself with, and maybe find someone to spend the rest of my life with and have kids. i just don't have the desire to have anyone around me know where i am (my parents, friends, sister.... nobody.) is this bad or wrong, or do you think considering my options, i should do this? its honestly the only way i think i'll ever feel happy. |

This is due to the fact that I am extremely matchure and no one else is. My school went on this stupid thing in the forest because we are studying earth science. Me and my air buddies (I have 23 air buddies plush animals) Don't like outside!! We get really mad! They speak to me. Well I'm not expossed to bring my air buddies to school so for the feild trip I stuffed them in my crotch to hide them. I only did 3 and they're small. When we got into the woods on the hiking trail, my teacher ( I'm gona call her ms. ***** *** ) told us to partner up. I had to be with this stupid girl names Sharon who doesn't even watch air buddies. When Sharon and I were finally alone, she started doing the asinement but I didnot becuase it was for babies. She told me I should do my work (really rudily) so I told her to **** off (I know 5 cuss words and I'm only 11). Then she left to find the teacher and while she was gone, it was my time to shine. I saw a pair of 8th graders and began to throw my air buddies at them as a fun prank! The 6ith graders never do fun things like that becuase they r imatchure. They 8 graders couldn't see me and one said "what the hell" so I told the teacher imeditely and she got mad and told me not to throw my air buddies bc she's asked 7 times but that's a lie she's asked 3 at most! And I had good resons every time! Why did she treat me like this? How dose this tie into puberty? |

There s this guy in my music course and we ve been hitting it off really well and Im starting to like him (as in always get butterflies when he s around) I m terrible at reading people so I don t know if he feels the same. I catch him staring at me sometimes and he just smiles then looks away... We talk almost every night till early hours in the morning, and always have a good laugh in college. He always asks me to walk home with him and knock for him on the way to college. But I still don t know! He has asked me a few times about my past relationships and whats my type... (Does that mean anything?) and he told me what his type is and to be honest it was like he was just explaining me (but I didn t say anything just in case)! Also he has a thing for winding me up (in a nice way) and no matter if someone does the same mistake as me he always points me out and laughs .... "He s adorable" 🙈🙊🙈🙊 Even if he doesn t feel the same way I will always want him in my life, he s just too brilliant! Does this mean he might feel the same way or something? please help! |

I feel like my friends don't like to talk to each other, but seem closer to each other than to me... I prefer to talk about whatever comes up in the moment, whether its what I saw on TV or what we drove by, just admiring things and simply living in the moment. But they prefer to stare at their phones until something pops up in their head.. This seems to be how most girls interact. I don't get it! It's not as if I'm chatting away either... What's the best way to interact with people so I can be closer with them |

Today S's friend (who I didn't get along with in the past, but we don't talk anymore) was getting screamed at by a girl I'll refer to as K. K isn't liked by a lot of people, she has a bad reputation with an attitude and fights. S did stand up for her friend, but it wasn't anything too big as she says. She was upset about this the whole day. Apparently, she told C and J about this but not me. I told S to be careful because she might be in danger. Now, I'm not close with K or anything, we're just on good terms (meaning we sometimes almost rarely ever talk) but I sure do know a lot about her. I told S that the slightest thing can tick off K, and that she might get her girls and gang up on S. S said that it was pretty pathetic. I then told S more about K, that her dad is in jail, her mom has cancer, and that she doesn't have a close relationship with neither of them. I can't imagine how hard that could be. What I see is that K is scared of being judged or feeling weak, so she acts tough and strong to hide it. Then, S said that she doesn't care about her. I personally don't like K, I'm very displeased with her actions. But I sure do care about her. Her well being, how her mental and physical state is as of now. I try to explain to S that it really isn't okay to think that, but it led to arguing. What she was saying was like she didn't care about K unless she was dying or gone. I am bery bubbly and witty and i can make people laugh but im not taken seriously. I look way younger that 16 maybe that's why. I feel belittled or i dont know. Maybe i have a distorted image of reality. I am mature but when im stressed or shy, i can say the weirdest things. Im always stressed. I told him that I don't really have any friends because of being bullied. Im a junior in high school, and high school has been my worst experience in life. I've been severely bullied by multiple people. They would constantly tell me to kill myself. Post on my wall on Facebook saying nasty things. Making hurtful videos about me on Facebook. I've almost been jumped twice at school by a group of guys and by a group of girls, but I was lucky enough to get away. People are always asking me why so many people hate me..because everyone does because of rumors they've heard. All of this eventually led me into a depression where I had a hard time eating for weeks. I was underweight. After the bullying, this year I decided to keep to myself. I try not to talk to anyone because I don't want to be bullied anymore. I feel that if I continue to be bullied, I'll fall back into my depression and I don't want to go back there. Since I've kept to myself this year, I havent been bullied at all. It's caused me to have no friends, but im so much happier this way. I don't feel that I need friends. I love participating in arguments and simulating a real court case sounds fun! However I've been in it for the past 4 weeks and so far I'm quite unhappy and unsatisfied. First of all I don't really know anyone there. They've already formed their own close groups of friends and I feel very unwelcome and wouldn't feel right intruding on a well-established group of friends as an outsider. No one there really talks to me and our last two meetings were very boring for me. Should I leave? If they try convincing me to stay, I'm almost certain it would be because they're short on team members and need as many as they can get, not because they genuinely care if I'm there or not. |
