About a week ago I asked my best friend to hang out and she said she was busy. I was fine until I found out she was hanging out with people who have been very mean to me in the past and compulsively lie to her and others. The two others have been very mean to both of us and I will not forgive them while she has. This is the second time she has done this to me and the first time resulted in a huge fight. I feel as her best friend she should have stuck with me instead of playing for both teams as if someone was mean to her I would dislike them too. Instead of making a fool of myself by blowing up at her I left all our chats, deleted her on snapchat, and deleted her on facebook. I don't want to be friends with someone who hangs out with mean people because she has become mean herself. I told my sister this and she said I'm being dramatic. I'm also going to college soon so I hope I will make friends who respect me. What do you think?

Me and this guy named Tom were suppose to be friends and we worked together on the same team. We were having issues on the business side of things. Tom said I can't work with you anymore Ryan. Tom took a vacation from work at the finance company we are at together so he hasn't been in the office for 5 weeks. I called Tom to ask where we stand and if we are still friends or what. He wasn't answering my calls or text messages for the last 2 weeks that he was on vacation from work from the finance company. So I showed up at his family restaurant unannounced and Tom says to me I feel like I am being harassed right now and I am borderline going to call the cops. Then I said to Tom, so I am not a friend then since I came to hash things out and you want to say I am harassing you and you are going to call the cops. Then me and Tom spoke for like 20 minutes. Tom then said I am still your friend we just need to separate our teams from a business aspect. Then Tom says I will still invite you out to family events like my birthday party, Christmas parties etc and I will go get dinner and a beer with you sometime. Then he gave me a full hug me and said would you like a bottle of water. I said sure. Tom went into the restaurant and got me a bottle of water and then gave me a second side ways hug and said are we good? We are both straight males

I'm a guy, I'm 15 a Junior in high school. I've never had a girlfriend and I've been rejected twice, once last year and again this year on the last day of school. I have CF so I'm infertile and have a 40 year lifespan. I go to gym a lot and play basketball because I'm also out of shape due to my CF and also sweat 5x as much as a normal person which is very humiliating. Anyways, all girls hate me, I always try to be nice but they hate me anyways. 5 weeks ago I went to Six Flags with my best friend Anderson and his sister Isabella and we met three people there, two girls and one guy. We had fun and they seemed to like me as a friend and liked Anderson both ways and we even hugged in the end. But neither of them have responded to me or called me and they call Anderson all the time. They hate me, they loved me for one day but then they sold me out because I'm ugly and are all over my friend Anderson. Isabella seems to actually like me as a person but I'm trash to every other girl. Why do girls hate me so much?

I m almost 15, and ever since going into secondary school (high-school) I ve become very self aware and paranoid. I try to stay positive, but I end up becoming depressed, and when I try to go out with some people I was best friends with a couple years ago, and they either ignore me or if they let me go out with them they meet people I don t know who judge and dislike me, and I m shoved out. I essentially have no friends I could trust my thoughts and worries with, and I feel as though I m missing out on life. When I hear of people I know going out and getting drunk and caught, I actually wish I could be out being stupid with them so then I could actually be liked, and appreciated, and accepted. It keeps getting worse and the more I try the more I fail, can anyone please tell me what to do? School is too much to handle without friends, and I m getting beyond help. Please give advice if you have it.

Right now I feel miserable being in the friendship. From the beggining I had a lot of issues which I got over for her. We had good times and now she seems to be incredibly upset toward me half the time even though I go miles to make her happy. When we d go shopping and she didn t wanna do her hair I wouldn t either, if she wore sweat pants to school I would with her, if she wore a dress to school I would too, all so she wouldn t get insecure. I d always bite my tongue when she d say something that I d usually fight back about. Whenever I have a good day she brings me down. Whether she means to or not she makes me unhappy. I don t know what to do. I wanna hold on, hoping the good times will come around again but I feel like they re long gone.

my ex best friend (ill call her alice) is ignoring me. we became friends in 6 grade and we were really close and everything. even though we were only been best friends for 2 years, she's one of the best friends I've ever had. we were in the same group of friends (4 other people) but we were always the closest. in the end of the last year, we started drifting apart because of lots of drama in our group. my group started to hate me or start ignoring me, and after a few weeks i left the group. they said they were ignoring me because i wasn't talking to them much but the reason i wasn't talking to them was because they were ignoring me. it was all really complicated. before i left i told them i still wanted to be friends with them, and they said they would still talk to me. i only kept in contact with two of the people: alice and another friend. basically, i left my old friend group at the end of the school year (last week of school), so we (alice and i) talked over chat. we chatted pretty often and i didn't think anything was wrong until she started to chat less often. now, theres one month more of summer and i really hoped that everything would be normal next year and we'd still be really close friends. i tried saying hi over chat once or twice but she saw the message and ignored me, and i don't know if I'm doing anything wrong? it may seem like I'm overreacting but we were really close and i really just wish we wouldn't grow apart, so i don't know what to do..

my brother is skipping to 8th grade with me, because he did virtual school. that's fine and all, but i'm afraid when he's in my grade people will like him more. my friends already like him, but still. last year when he was dual enrollment i already got crap for how " he must be smarter than me" since he was skipping even though i had the oppurtunity myself. i'm in english one, and alot of other stuff, but i feel like i will be outshined by my brother and that people would rather hang with him than me.

I lended my so called friend $130 about a month ago with the intention of getting it back. He told me he would have it on the 12th because thats when he got his check. I've only known this guy for a few months but he never gave me a reason not to trust him. So I truly believed him when he said I would get it back. He has been ignoring my texts until I texted him today and said that if he couldn't get the money then i'd take something of his to trade he offered me an Xbox 360 console, and a Wii. I havent told him yes or no yet, because I dont know the value of these consoles together.. The xbox is missing the disc tray cover, but is in good shape otherwise. Comes with all the wires and everyting. the Wii is teal and appeared to be in really good condition. But I need an outside opinion to help me decide.. Am I being impatient? Is this a good deal for me? I could sell the xbox 360 and wii for just about $130 right? Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Im a 16 year old girl. Just bored and I need something to do.

She's eight years old and her name is Marie. We live in a town in Northern France, and we are on summer break. I always play with her all day long and I notice she is never wearing shoes. She wore them to school and during the winter, but the whole spring, summer, and autumn she goes barefoot everywhere. We walk through the streets of our town, climb trees, and run through the fields, and she does it in her bare feet. She claims the soles of her feet are so tough she could run through snow and not feel it. We work a small part time summer job at a bookstore in town, and the kind man we work for has no issue with her coming into the store and performing her duties barefoot. Our families took a trip to Normandy recently, and she was barefoot the entire trip everywhere she went. I am just wondering if it looks a little weird as she does it everywhere, all the time. She agrees with me she would not walk barefoot in Paris, with all the dog poop everywhere.

I've been helping him on a project for a couple of months and we have to meet a couple of times a month in a restaurant as our offices are very noisy. We talk about our work area and I've noticed that if I say something like 'I don't like tennis, he will say 'neither do I'. He has never mentioned a girlfriend or female friend, only his guy lfriends, siblings, parents and daughter. When he talks about places he's been it is always 'I've been..' or 'I went with my cousin/guy friend'. He is telling me more and more about himself and his interests. This is the situation: Me and my friend walked by our old Kindergarten. The place is in the process of being destroyed. We instantly remembered all memories and jumped over the small fence. We found a shovel and two pieces of wood that our 5-year old selfes had stacked about 8 years ago. Now we both got one piece to keep for the memories. Now, i want to ask how to make sure that the piece of wood will never rot because if it did it would crush my soul totally. Please, help me. I have three friends and I'm the oldest out of the four of us. We've all been good friends for five years. When we were younger, I guess you could say I was the 'clown' or the 'immature one', ironic, I know. I would always act like an idiot, do pranks, and even I can agree I WAS ANNOYING! All of my other friends were into fashion, makeup, and stuff like that whereas all I did was prank after prank. I stopped doing that sort of stuff when I was around 14. Now I'm 16. My two other friends understand I've matured and don't do that stupid stuff anymore. But my youngest friend thinks I'm a total doof, and ironically I'm two years older than her. But she thinks I have no other friends, that I still make fart jokes, I don't like any 'girly' stuff and I just do pranks, that I pretty much devote my life to doing pranks, etc. which I find a bit offensive! She thinks I'm dumb. She hardly ever invites me anywhere and cancels plans whenever my other friends tell me about them. She treats them like normal people and treats me like a little kid and YET I'M OLDER ! She sent all of us postcards because she went to Key West for a vacation and wrote normal stuff in my friends' postcards, like what she did and saw, and in my postcard, she makes fart jokes because she thinks I still find that stuff funny? I just feel offended, like she hasn't realized that I've changed. Her parents also think I'm still the same as I was when we were younger. School is starting again in a few weeks and I'm going to be a junior. Ever since elementary school, I've been an outcast because I used to be very shy and quiet all the way up until sophomore year. I was always lonely, bullied, ignored, and known as 'the weird one'. No one came close to me. No one wanted to get to know me. I hated it. I actually love to talk once I can get to know someone and I like company. I was not a loner by choice. I have three 'friends' but they seem to always ask me, "Where are your other friends?!" because they have a bunch of their own! I used to do stupid things for attention, or to be thought of as funny because I was so sick of being alone. I wanted to join in conversations so I embarrassed myself and pretty much acted like a clown for attention. I regret that a lot. It made people think I'm an even bigger weirdo! When school starts, I want to join some clubs and take different electives I'm actually interested in, I want to take part in more and be myself. First of all I just move from a school which is kind of a bad society to a rich poshy kind of school. I use to get in to drug and alcohol and fight but then I turn myself around and now I am in to studying and doing many research and community service. *No judging or rude comments just advice* It makes me really depressed and disappointed to think that I wasted my teen/high school years. High school was awful and a living hell for me, I hated the school I went to and it was wrong for me. I wish I could've gone out all the time and partied and gone to raves but instead my the few friends I did have blew me off and went out without me or just didn't do anything with me. I just feel like it's weird and I missed out on so much and can never get these years back. Even now, I just wish I had a different life and don't know what to do. I feel like such a failure. And I know I'm going to make new friends in college, but I feel like my life is never how I want it to be. I've had a string of bad luck. Like for example, my ex friend said she didn't want to be friends with me anymore, my ex had sex with my once and never wanted anything to do with me, and guys that I used to talked to led me on and now blew me off and I feel so awful about it. I was going to do so much fun stuff this summer and now I can't and I'm so disappointed about it. I didn't want to waste another summer doing nothing. I wanted to go out and have fun and party. And now that is like impossible.

Sometimes when I'd ask her something through text that's confusing me, she say something like "can you read?" And it upsets me that she had said that for which I'd have to ignore. She's said that before to my face when we were doing a project where we had to read a story in French. Then she told me to explain the story to her, and when I did she was correcting what I had said and told me that I had to understand the story, and that I obviously wasn't able to read. Then she's telling me how I'd never listen to her, and pay attention to what she's saying. Yet she's the only one speaking in our friendship, and I'm the only one listening. Then whenever I don't understand something she wants me to write down for a project, she'd repeat rudely over and over. That makes me upset, because when I work with her we get bad marks because she's always telling me what to do. Then when I tell her my ideas, she'd refuse.

My company hosted a family event at a water park which had a flowrider (uses fast water to simulate surfing). My boss, several coworkers, and their families were all taking turns riding it. So, my daughter and my boss's daughter knew each other from high school and come over to watch. He lets both of them cut in line and hands his daughter a bag of his family's stuff telling her to put on swim shorts over her bikini. A little later after his daughter's turn, my daughter rides. But the force of the water causes her to lose the bottoms of her bathing suit. She was really embarrassed because everyone saw her bottomless. Then what's worse, my boss tried to make a joke out of it by saying how nobody minded seeing her "booty show." How can I make her feel better? Should I confront my boss?

I met this girl at work driving buses. Whenever she passes me going the other way she waves, usually she sees me first. Few weeks ago she was parked at a bus stop and I was coming towards her and as I checked my right mirror I noticed her waving at me, but in a slow way with a soft look at me A couple of weeks ago we met at the bus terminal on the way to the toilet and she said "hi how are you" and asked me how my disciplinary meeting went and when would I be getting transferred to her depot. When talking to me she would make eye contact without being distracted. She would then talk about her getting into trouble for speeding by management. We were talking for about 5 mins. She said she was running late and needed to use the toilet and had better go. I left to go outside and she then came out after using the toilet and on passing me to get into her bus said she had bad hay fever, again as if initiating something So few days ago she was coming towards me on her bus and she puffed her hair up but acted like she didn't see me and ignored me, so I thought i'd do the same when I see her again. So yesterday we both pulled up at bus stops on other side of the road from each other and she looked behind to see who was driving my bus and saw it was me and waved. I looked at her but ignored her. So she waved again and again I kept looking but ignored her. She then looked puzzled and waved again and I smile laughed because she kept trying and she then had a happy face and drove off.

I'm absolutely awful at having conversations with people. Whenever I talk to someone (excluding a couple of people) I'll run out of things to say after 2 or 3 sentences and the conversation will die because I can't think of anything to say. Also, when someone tries to talk to me I won't realize that they're trying to have a conversation. For example, someone might ask a question and I'll answer but, without realizing they're trying to have a conversation, I won't continue the conversation. How can I solve this problem?

In middle school I was shy and only talked to other girls and a handful of guys but the type of guys who only hung out with girls and were comfortable with them. So my gf has this really close guys friend who lives in England, where she's from. They've known each other for almost 10 years. And in 6 months, I'll be moving from the country we both currently live in. She's in England now for summer and she spends time with this friend of hers sometimes. Next summer, she is moving back to her home country where this guy lives. Since they are almost as close as she and I are, I'm starting to get worried that she'll fall for him and leave me when she moves back.
