I somewhat trusted him to give it back, but he said he "lost" it. He said he would pay me back but so far he's only made 13$. He even went as far to wear the exact same one which he said was his cousins hahaha. I'm quite lenient on stuff like this usually but this one is really obvious. I'm think if I should tell the principal or wait to see if he pays me back? I know if I report him, he'll probably cut off ties with me and talk behind my back badly. |

Posted: 07 Apr 2017 05:09 PM PDT I'm a relatively shy person, which may have something to do with it, but I'm usually not comfortable with acting like I do at home around friends that aren't that close to me. I was at a friend's house yesterday night and we were watching a movie. My dad called me on my cell while we were watching and I didn't want to disrupt them so I spoke rather quietly. My dad was pretending not to hear me (I say pretending, since there have been plenty of times I've spoken in the same tone and he was able to hear me) and began to yell at me on the phone saying that I needed to speak up because I always yell at home. The thing is, I yell around my family because I've been living with them for 14 years. If I was living with the same friend for that long, I'd probably act more naturally around her. So when my dad picked me up, he wasn't very happy at all. He said that I needed to start acting like I do at home around my friends because if I keep acting so quiet and submissive, I'll get raped or something (which is very hypocritical on his part since he tends to change the way he talks when he's talking to people in public) Do you think it's unusual to be quiet around friends? |

Should schools ban seniors dating freshmen, especially if those freshmen are as young as 7th or 8th graders? It's not illegal here in Canada and I think it's up to the parents, but some people think that schools should immediately nip it if they ever hear of ANY senior dating them. Since it's not considered illegal in our province and the parents may get upset if the school sets these boundaries, some people started thinking that all Canadian high schools and other schools that currently have younger teens should start segregating them. Mostly by sending kids to middle school/junior high or having them stay away from the older teens. We can't assume that ALL parents are good parents who care about their children & teens. Some kids go off doing whatever the heck they want . |

I go to a grades 8-12 school and this senior and I share the same teacher but different classes. He mentioned me in a sentence when he was having a conversation with the teacher and asked how I was doing and what grade I was in. The teacher immediately told him that 12th graders are not allowed to date 9th graders. Even though it's not against the school policy. Anyways he did NOT even say anything about dating me, it was just simply a question! Once a group of guys in my class started bullying other people and my teacher refused to separate the bullies because all the other tables were full of girls and she thought it would be "worse if they bully the girls". She was asked to separate the kids by the principal because so many kids started complaining about being bullied and having a teacher who doesn't care (apparently she thought it was "guys being guys"). Whenever she's asked to educate students about rape and dangers (we live in a Canadian city thats sorta dangerous), she just focuses on the girls. My friend told me she called her parents telling them she shouldn't be allowed at the mall with friends but no adults just because she's a female person...? She told her that her little brother is allowed too, but the teacher just stated that she's a girl. People find it odd because she stereotypes genders so much. Is she being sexist or is it normal? |

First she mocks me all the time and if I would say anything or if we were working together on classwork (because she is in most of my classes) she would mock me and she would do what I do for example;( if I would get my hair out of my face she would just get her hair in her face then she would get her hair out of her face but in a sassy way). I let my friend borrow my hoodie because she's my best friend, and it's just what girls do. We borrow each others clothes. My dad complains over and over again about her having it because when we were younger, I let her borrow one of my red jackets and we didn't see it for like a year so we bought a new one for me. Then it suddenly "shows up" at her house and... yeah. So now every time my dad sees her get out of the car with my hoodie on, he mentions that story in an aggravated way. He's gotten up to the point where he's not going to buy anything special (whatever that means) or expensive (he wouldn't have anyway he's cheap) for me ever again. I don't know how to deal with this situation. I feel like I've had this problem forever and it won't change and I'm starting to feel hopeless. Everybody has their own set of friends and I just feel excluded by trying to talk to people around my age (I think this is kind of my own fault for using social media rather than real life and not socializing as much in college). I so desperately want to change my aura, appearance, and how I present myself so I can get the friends I want, not some irritating dudes at my job who always flirt with the young girls there. My best friend, Bill, (also a friend of 3 years of Johnny) was not invited. Johnny even texted me "do not tell Bill, my gf says hes forbidden". Last week Johnny was looking for a few more people to fill the bus and get the cost down. I thought Bill would be a perfect candidate for a late invite. Again he was not invited. My best friend Bill takes this kind of stuff generally pretty hard (feels jaded when a girl doesnt text him back in a few hours lol). I feel as though i cannot go to the party and have Bill find out that i was invited and didnt bring it up at all. It also does not look like Johnny will extend the late invite. Then one day I heard from my friend that they were having supper together after work on the last day of work. Everyone was invited except me and 2 other friends. I was really shocked because some of my close friends who knew about it, did not mention it to me until the day before and didn't bother inviting me in. I mean even if they ask me to follow them I wouldn't. I don't really know if they all just purposely did it or not however they had to have that supper at the market near my house. Like you can choose the mall or the eateries near our work place but they chose to have it near my place. One even purposely send me a picture of the gathering and the others send me videos of them having fun after supper. I don't really know if it was on purpose and I'm feeling very annoyed at this point. I don't know who to trust, should I still be their friends or what I should do from this point. | Question: Should I move in with my friends? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 10:24 AM PDT Right now I'm a freshman in college and I'm trying to figure out where I should live next semester. Right now I'm in an apartment. I was randomly assigned to the roommates I have now, and we became really good friends, but next semester they're transferring schools. I have a couple other friends who are living in a different apartment building next semester who want me to move in, but I'm not sure if I want to live with them. The apartment building isn't as close to campus and downtown as the one I'm in now, and it's in a sketchy part of town. But then again it's cheaper than the place I'm in now. I'm also nervous that I'm going to get assigned roommates next semester that I'm not going to get along with. So, should I risk getting an apartment with people I might now get along with, or should I move in with my friends to a sketchy part of town/not close to campus? |

I thought it would be fun, and my friends were doing it. Then all my friends dropped out. And the teacher is a ********. And ever since it began, I've been so anxious and self-conscious about it. The thing is in five weeks. I know how it's going to go. I'm going to do it, be mercilessly made fun of by everyone, especially this one asshole who is the bane of my existence. He's one of the popular kids, so many will blindly follow his thoughts. I desperatley want to quit. The only thing stopping me is two things. 1. The teacher will be extremely pissed off. He'll probably speak to my Dad (who works at the same school I go to). Also, since it's not that far away, he likely won't let me quit anyway 2. My parents disappointment. I don't care that some of the few people that I talk to might be mad at me, I'm concerned that my parents will be mad. I'm a fairly **** student with a brother that outshines me in everything, so this one of the few things they're proud of me for. I don't want my reputation and respect to drop, especially since it's my last year at this school. HELP. |

After 3years of barely speaking, we finally spoke properly on Valentine's Day. During that message she sent me a pic of a valentines present that I gave her almost 4 years ago and she said that she never knew how weird it could be to go from talking and seeing someone all the time to not talking at all. then she went on to say that she wonders how things would be for us now if we had never broke up. After that she said that she hoped that I can find someone that makes me happy because I deserve it. I was quite shocked that she said that but I just said the same back to her. At the end of this conversation, she said goodnight and told me to 'stay in touch'.2 days after I sent her a pic of a place that we used to go to together asking her if she remembers it, she said yeah and she jokingly replied 'the question is, who are you with?Lol' we talked for a bit then she didn't reply after that. A few days ago, she saw on social media that I left my job and she asked how come I left my job etc. We talked for a full day, the conversation only ended when she didn't reply. Our conversation seemed as though we were close again. In this conversation, she remembered that it's my birthday in a few weeks and jokingly said that I should start thinking about 'settling down' bcos I'm getting old.I always try to get her attention on social media but it doesn't always work. Is there hope? |

He only told me. The next day my entire friend group, beside a couple people, knew. He's still not at school but today something happened. My friends Cady and Spencer didn't know about this issue, and my friend Greta told them. Cady can't be trusted with secrets and over reacts a lot. Cady is mad at me because she was the last person I told. She is also mad for another unknown reason. I went to the bathroom, and Greta said that no one tells her anything anymore and then she brushed past me and won't look or talk to me. I asked her what's wrong and she ignored me. Now my 2 friends are mad at me and everyone knows about my friends health condition. What do I do? |

It's annoying because I usually never have anyone to talk on the phone with, have girl talk with, or go out with anywhere. Girls were kind of b*tches towards me growing up & now. I would try to make conversation with girls around my age (24), & either they would snub me or pretend to be interested. It's annoying how I get along with guys better (mainly because it's older men who I share little to no interests with & how needy some of them can be). I want to change myself (my aura, looks, & how I carry myself and even my personality) desperately because I don't want to be known as the girl with too many guy friends because girls hate me as don't want to befriend me. All the females in my family don't have this problem, except me. I'm tired of being alone, honestly. |

Recently she told me she has gotten a scholarship and shes moving eventhough she doesn't want to. Her parents are forcing her to take the scholarship to save some money. One of our college friends also told us that he is leaving college the end of the year. I feel very lonely now as it is difficult for me to make friends and now they are leaving one by one. I am just shy and extremely awkward so even when i try to talk to new people i make things so awkward for them. What should i do? |

Last weekend I was going so I invited her along but she said she had no money. Last night she went out to a club with another friend of hers, even booked the next day off work. Despite not doing that with me and telling me she had no money. I know it all sounds petty and childish but I wish she would just be honest with me and then I wouldn't care. It's not that I resent having friends it's just that I'm an introvert. My mom says hes an introvert to but we really don't cliq at all. When our moms tried to make us hang out we just sat there not talking because no offence to him he's boring and also he likes video games and I don't and I like sports and movies and he doesn't. What really got to me was that my mom thinks that I am incapable of doing stuff with my friends that I have now. A month ago, I posted on the app "Yik Yak" saying "just need a ride somewhere and want to get off campus." A guy commented and we messaged each other; in about 2 hours, we met. He happened to be white (20) and I'm African American (18), but we didn't know that prior to meeting. We're also both male. It didn't appear to be an issue, and It wasn't. However, a guy I use to have a DL sort of thing with thinks it's strange. He's putting into my head a lot of BS I'm surprised I'm actually finding myself believing. He told me the guy is quite clearly gay because why else would he pick up some dude 5 times and go out with him? I don't think the guy is gay, (I do hookup with guys, but no one really knows and it's not the case with him); I just pictured it building a friendship. I guess, it's safe to call him a friend as we've hung out about 5 times now. He does randomly text me things like "Denny's in 30 minutes?" Or "U Up?" at 1:30am" Or "can you be ready in 15 minutes because I'm going to pick you up?" Without any prior notice or planning, but I don't mind it. I don't think there's anything strange or "gay" about this unless you consider two guy friends gay, or you think it's weird that a black and a white are friends. I do admit I find him really attractive and he drives a pretty dope BMW, but it doesn't go that way at all, so what could make this look strange in someone else's eyes? THANKSSSS! I decided to go to a psychiatrist, its no help, a shrink, no good and I want to stay away from medication as I gave up all drugs and alcahol and I dont know, I feel Ive lived too long and Im only 26. Everyone I meet goes away in the end, I have no friends even my new friends are getting sick of me, Im annoying, when I get depressed I come back and they are annoyed that I didnt contact them for weeks or missed events, I try to make it up but I'm annoying. Yet I meet all my school friends and we have a laugh, they've all changed and Im always told I havent changed a bit and dont change. Yet I find myself wondering what have I become, I sit down at my old girlfriends grave and I ask her what have I become?. Naturally Im asking myself but I just see her hurting as she sees what I am. I just want to start again and if I could start again even the other side of the world, Id do whatever it takes not to lose myself, I'm a different person every week, yet the same results, no friends, no money, just a whole lot of hurt. I think I should leave but then my family may not be there when I get back, my grandparents are old, im stuck in hell but i hurt and spread hurt wherever i go, maybe the devil doesnt mean to be what it is |

I will tell them that i am undergoing serious life threatening health issues, but they never want to ask me how I'm doing. Whenever they contact me, they only want to talk about their own problems or issues. Ive always been a pretty good listener, so they talk to me almost daily. I just can't help thinking to myself....ummm....they know how ill i am, but never ask how i am or if they can help me or anything. Are these friends just selfish or am i expecting too much from my friends? Btw, i live alone and don't have anyone to help me or assist me. |

I practice really hard for about 2 hours a day and she doesn t practice at all; we had a playing exam and we had the music for a month before we were tested and I started practicing as soon as I got it and she practiced the day before she was tested on. I almost got an 100 and she got a high b, and since she s my friend I was showering her the video of me playing and she said they went easy on me and that they just pick favorites because "I noticed a lot of mistakes". I asked her to stop but all she said is that if I were in my situation I d act the same (which I believe is not true) am I just over reacting or is she actually being hella rude |
