I sent her a text asking to meet in person to work our issues out but that was almost a week ago. She did agree to it but she said she wouldn't be able to do it anytime soon bc she was very busy this week. But I feel as if I am square one again bc we have had no contact since I sent that text. I know she is still angry with me but how can I casually strike up a conversation with her and also kinda ask her when she is available to talk things out? I don't want to come off as pushy to her either bc I'm trying to save this friendship. |

No driving for 2 months, no walking for 6 weeks and no offers of help from my friends. I have 4 kids that I couldn't help. One of my friends just had minor foot surgery and our other friend drives over 2-3 days a week bringing her lunch, helping with laundry & shoveling and getting dinner started. She was only laid up for 3 weeks. I'm jealous, I'm angry, I'm bothered by this. I've been ignoring them lately because it bothers me. What should I do? |

She tells me she can't make friends, I sit with her and give her advice, she never listens to it. Plus she's always unmotivated, she lays in bed a lot. She even purposely let our dog run away from home because "she doesn't want to take care of it anymore." Sometimes I wished she'd just take action of her problems and stop complaining, it's really affecting our house life. What should I do? She's also too sensitive and thinks people dislike her when they don't. Our dog didn't actually run away, she came back though but my mom has already let her leave twice. |

My mom told me no back then, even though half my classmates got their hair dyed. I even see little elementary school kids running around the playground with dyed hair sometimes. My hair is healthy and it's black. She straightened my hair with chemicals a few months ago. I know my mom is the "stereotypical Asian parent". And I usually see adults telling me that my mom is right, how it could damage a pre-teen or a teen's hair, wait till I'm older blah blah blah everytime I bring this topic up. For the people that don't have dyed hair at the moment most of them have done it at least once in the past! My 12 year old brother told me that by the time he started 6th grade, half the girls in his class got ombre hair or something. Any ideas? |

Posted: 02 Apr 2017 03:42 PM PDT I'm a 20 year old full time college student and I wouldn't say I'm socially awkward, but I'm definitely a hermit. I don't get nervous while talking to people and I have a few good friends, who I genuinely love. however the idea of spending time with them (or anyone for that matter) is dreadful to me- so I often don't. I make plans and then end up cancelling them because I just can't force myself to go out. On the rare occasion I do hang out with people, the entire time I'm wishing I would have said "no" and stayed home, even if I'm having an okay time. (I'll also note here, I never have a "great" time, it's always just....well, fine.) Although I enjoy staying at home by myself and texting my friends and virtually doing nothing on the weekends,I feel like it's unhealthy and I should fix it- but I just end up holding myself back. I guess I just want to know if there are other people like me out there. My friends have been wonderful for putting up with me being like this, and I just don't know what I should do, if anything. I just wanted to say in the few minutes this has been posted, I am floored by the kindness of the answers I have been receiving. I texted my friend who lives nearby and said I was going for a bike ride. I asked if it would be okay if I stopped by since I would be in her area. She responded that she wasn't home right now. I said okay but I was a little confused because I had just seen her Snapchat story and she was clearly at her house. Right as I was getting ready to leave i was on Snapchat again looking at people's stories and hers was updated. When I looked at it it showed that she was at home playing with her dog. And in the last couple couple months i feel like i don't have "friends" even though i do. I feel like my friends don't care about me outside of school. They never invite me to anything so i'm home 90% of the time. Even though it's nice to spend time home alone, it's also really frustrating to not go out with friends outside. For example a few days ago my friends who i always hang out with at school were talking about how they went bowling like a month ago, but they haven't even told me about it (they were talking with another guy and was listening in the discussion). I was laughing along and pretended to not be bothered, but in reality i am. And it's not just these friends, it's been like this for like 2 years. I kept trying to text her to apologize but she blocked me from Facebook and even her phone. I sent her a really long heartfelt apology with some flowers to her house but she contacted the police and the police officer told me that I could get charged for harassment if I don't leave her alone. I do have some money saved up from a part-time job, but not enough to afford a decent apartment on my own. A mutual friend introduced me to this guy, who is 23. My friend tells me he graduated from an Ivy but doesn't have any student loans (financial aid and part time job) and got recruited right out of college to work as an investment banker. I talked to him a couple times. He seems nice and friendly, but the first thing that jumped out at me is how rich he seemed. He was wearing a different suit each time I saw him, drive a pretty nice car, and had the latest iPhone. I know investment bankers make a lot, so I was wondering why he needed a roommate. He told me something about cutting costs so he can invest more in the stock market. That is a reasonable answer, but I still feel that it's kind of sketchy. Am I right to have that feeling? |

Within five months he had a new partner and got engaged again around four months after our break-up - no indication they were together prior to our breaking-up. I've no idea how he explained our break-up to her, clearly he hasn't told her the truth. For the record I'm 'over' him and I've been dating someone myself. A few months ago she tried emailing me but I decided it was best to ignore it, she's since made him get rid of all evidence of me and made him unfriend me - it's fair enough, although she forced him and as he's an abuse survivor that's a bit concerning, it's their problem now...but point is that it raises alarm bells about her. The issue is that she's infiltrating my friends list, my ex and I have a lot of mutual friends (around 80) so it's inevitable she'd become friends with many of them, but she seems to be trying to find ways of being friends with *my* friends, she's also joining closed groups I'm a member of (and where I discuss personal things). It's feeling a little hostile to me to see her popping up everywhere on Facebook. I can't comment on my friends posts without her being able to see, I'm concerned this may cause a little drama if she tries to interact with me this way or if she sees my ex and I commenting on the same things. |

Long story short, I liked a guy named Sean and he liked me but now she likes him but she thinks that we still like each other but I'm completely over him. she kept saying that he still liked me because I was pretty but I made sure that she knew she could have him. now its like whatever I do she can do 10 times better. everything is a competition to her. whenever I tell her about one of my accomplishments she's nonchalant and tries to make it about her. every time we do something she turns it into a compitition and if i win then she'll make excuses on how i won instead of just congratulating me. she lies so she can seem better than me, i even caught her in lies. I also noticed that she copies me. For example, I got these new pair of shoes and two days later she had the same exact ones. I told her about a gift my parents got me (iPhone 7) and she seemed happy for me through text but at school she kept avoiding me and ignores my texts. Posted: 02 Apr 2017 03:08 AM PDT In the beginning of the year we were 4 friends (me, A, B and C), but we were kind of distant from each other, I would stay with a girl (A) (which was my best friend) and the other 2 girls would stay together. I sat with my bff in school but the teacher decided to change our seats, so she sat with B, They started to get too close and I was really sad, then I stated getting more friendly with C and another girl but when I see A and B get well with each other, make inside jokes, hug each other etc...I feel really bad even if I laugh or act like I don t care. These months A is pushing me out of her life, and ignores me, I don t know what to do |

Every single time she's in the opposite team, i'll get hit by her. This does not happen to anyone else, but me. Is she doing that on purpose ? Why would she want to hurt me so much ? We're 14. I play all those games pretty well. Maybe she does that to make me leave the game for 10 minutes ? I always need to lie down on the ground after that. (And I mean my testicles) |
| Posted: 02 Apr 2017 12:26 AM PDT Last year, I blocked a co-worker from Facebook because I got sick of her asking me the same question every single day. When I posted pics that I was buying a house, I understand she was really excited for me. What I didn't like was, she would ask me every single day when I'm moving into my new house. I kept giving her the same answer. There are other people at work I'm friends with on Facebook and they didn't ask me the same question every single day. They would ask me every once in awhile, but not like this lady did. One day when I couldn't take it anymore, I blocked her from Facebook and ever since, she doesn't talk to me or say hello although I've been cordial to her. Now that friends have given me advice, I feel bad what I did to her and unblocked her from Facebook. If I send her a friend request, will she accept or deny it? If she sees that I unblocked her, what will she think? I want to know what you all think. |

I've been having to take her to work recently and she is currently mad because on a day where she opened and I closed, I drove her to work that morning and told her she needed to find a ride home that morning and the night before. She has used my car only once before when I was at work but that was because of her kids needing her that day and like this time she needed it AFTER I told her she needed another ride. She walked home and it rained and now her and her whole family is mad at me for not letting her take my car while I was at work. I've only known her two months and she doesn't even have her drivers license but can drive. I'm starting to feel guilty but I specifically told her that my car is mine and I don't let everyone just up and use it. Am I a bad friend for not letting her take it home? |
| Posted: 01 Apr 2017 11:47 PM PDT before i say anything im a good highschool kid with a 4.0 gpa. So i live in this 2 story apartment and my parents never let me out. So i devise this plan to sneak out and hang out with my friends at night. Heres a thing. I cant sneak out the front door because it makes lots of noises and my parent's room is about 15 feet away from the front door. I dont want to use a ladder or a chain of blanket ropes. Will i be hurt if i jump down from 2 stories up? There no thing to break the fall btw no trees no bushes, just plain grass. Please help me |

Not intentionally stalking I just wanted to say hey make sure she was well didn't intend anything more. Yep and when she didn't remember me I let it go. Until I got "impaired" and messaged her sister AGAIN trying to make sure she's ok. Yes I'm currently waiting on the reply from her sister who told me leave her alone cause she didn't remember me. | Question: Shaving my legs? Help? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 10:42 PM PDT When I was inn in 6th grade i became awareness of leg hair. Everybody shaved except me... I at first thought "Gee that seems young!" In my small mind at the time. I told my mom everybody shaved st school and she asked me if I wanted to.., I said no because I felt too young. I thought shaving was a high school thing. In 7th grade, I would sit totslly unaware of my legs and it never bothered me, until I realized I was the ONLY girl who still hadn't shaved.. from then until now (a year later) I haven't shaved yet. But I was bullied earlier this year.. I always tried to shave. I would get the courageous and chicken out at the last second.,. Now i go to a private school and it's spring, do wearing tights under my skirt isn't an option anymore. I wear pants as much as I can OUTSIDE of school, because I'm so embarrassed.. I CANNOT go to high school like this, OR school Monday. I cannot believe how foolish I am for never realizing that even in 5th grade most people shaved. Anyways, I would ask my mom for help but it took all my courage to tell her when I got my first period and this time I just cannot talk about this stuff. I just want to do it and eventually she figures it out.. I wanna know the proper way to advoid any cuts or burns or bumps. I would use conditioner for this. nornally I would go to a friend for help but they would laugh and probably tell people and make fun of me..,, as if they haven't already :; |
| Question: My friend bought the same prom dress as me? What do I do?? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 10:23 PM PDT After I showed a picture of my dress to my friend, the following day she sent me a picture of the dress she had bought which was the exact same style, color, and silhouette as mine. Although I know there will probably be other girls with similar dresses to mine at prom, I am mostly upset at the fact that she seemed to intentionally buy a dress that looked exactly like mine. My dress was very expensive and was quite the investment, which I am really disappointed now that I spent all that money just to have her wear basically the same thing. I am even more annoyed because when I had asked her earlier what kind of dress she was planning on getting she described one completely different than mine, so obviously she was REALLY inspired by my picture. Obviously it is not the end of the world, but I'm not really close with this girl other than seeing her at school, but because she didn't have a prom group yet I already invited her to go with my friend group to prom. So now in all our pictures it will look like we are wearing the same dress. In all honesty, I'm really offended and I don't really want her to come with my group anymore. I'm not that close with her and this dress situation really rubbed me the wrong way. What should I do? And if uninvite her to go with my group, how should I do it? I don't want to get in a big fight or anything but at this point I regret inviting her and showing her my dress in the first place. Cannot return my dress and I bought my dress months ago, I know that she bought hers the day after I showed her the picture. Like I said I don't think I own this dress/ this style of dress, the issue is with the friend who knowingly bought a dress similar to mine. |

Literally everyone and I mean EVERYONE in my grade always has something negative about him. He s super skinny and people always call him "muscle man" or "body builder" and say inappropriate things about his body. I m so sick of it. | Question: Why does my volleyball team hate me? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 09:08 PM PDT Hate is a strong word but I really don't know how else to put it. All the other girls on my team are all friends. They all hang out with each other, hug each other, compliment each other, normal friend things.. But then there's me. I feel like they're a team and I'm just here. It's not like I'm new or anything. I've been playing with these girls since middle school. I'm not trying to be presumptuous but i'm not a bad player. I work hard and it's what I like to do. I'm friendly, I'm a team player, I'm nice to the girls on my team, give them high fives, congratulate them, etc. But when one girl does something good we'll all give them a high five or something but nobody does anything when I do. A lot of the girls talk about me behind my back. When I'm done talking and I turn around they'll all roll their eyes thinking I won't notice. I could go on and on but what am I doing wrong?? It's not like I get into drama or I'm rude? I'm quiet but still I don't get how they'd hate me? I'm not going to try to be friends with someone who obviously isn't interested but they're my teammates. Help :(( |

Examples: - I always yell instead of talking in a normal manner and annoy everyone - I'm to concerned about talking that I say more than I want to and or dont let other people chat (Obviously this causes conflicts and unbalanced friendships) - Im very clumsy too and dont think through stuff very well which becomes embarassing. - Because of all of this I have troubles making and keeping friends as well as keeping peers on my good side I would like some tips on how to solve this problem. |
