Question: My wife likes to go out by herself? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 02:22 PM PDT We have three kids ages 5 and 2 years and 3 months baby. We resently moved to a house in March at the beginning. I invited my brother and and my sister in law (my wife's cousin) to live with us. My sister in law works everyday at a family dollar about 5 to 6 hours. She comes home very tired.. my wife doesn't work because she babysits my sister in law's son and she stays home with the kids. Well, she got the habit of reading some bullshit blog saying that women need time to themselves and to relax. She doesn't need to relax, she doesn't have a job. So yesterday she left the kids with her mom and left with the baby to the mall. She didn't ask for permission first and then I decided to call her mom to ask if she was there and her sister and I even called her grandma. But they told me she wasn't with them. I always have to FaceTime her to see if it's true that she went to the mall or the store or wherever.. she tells me to leave her alone that I am bugging her too much. Well, us Mexicans don't like our women in the streets.. they need to be home with the kids. And no I'm not a troll just to let you know. But how can I stop my wife from going out? Should I stay home from and send HER off to work instead? |
Question: Do I have to tell my family who the father is? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 01:55 PM PDT I'm nearly 22 and pregnant. My 40 year old coworker is the father. We really love each other so don't say anything about that, please. I'd just rather not tell my parents who the father is because they wouldn't like it/be supportive. So can I just keep it a secret? |
Posted: 01 Apr 2017 01:48 PM PDT My aunt who is my guardian has taken me and my other sibling and had us for 15 years and my father has not payed for child support for most of that time. My mother never had but she tells her she doesn't have to. She has filed reports and he recently got arrested. She held him in jail until he would pay 50 a week when she gets 80,000 a year not counting what her husband gets. I don't want either of them to pay but if she makes my dad I want my mom to have to as well |
Question: I feel so useless compared to my stepbrother? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 01:37 PM PDT So I'm about to be 21 and my step brother is 25. He's a special case because he's just the definition of the golden child. Everything he does he's god at. He's a college drop out and was hired in Seattle as a programmer making 6 digits a year. And his boss is looking into moving him up for what hes done to the company and he's only been working for a year. Since he's a programmer he can "unplug" meaning that he can take his laptop and work somewhere else. So he travels with friends most of the time while working at night. I understand he worked for that position but 1 day of studying for him is like a week for an average person. He's intelligent. I don't want to follow his footsteps because I'd like to be known for what I accomplished and not a younger brother following his big brothers foot steps. I stayed in school and I'm about to enter the university. I was thinking of doing PT. But even than I know I wont have an open life like hes having due to studying and going to med school and etc. He just shines too bright and everyone knows him and I'm just his brother. What can I do to stick out or get out of his shadow? |
Question: Is this the perfect family? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 01:18 PM PDT Sara went to high school and got straight A's, went to college to be a writer, at 23 she got married to a 25 year old man. Had two kids. She stays home with the kids, he goes to work daily. She cooks and cleans. They refuse to let their son wear pink, play with dolls and the father tells him how wrong, and disgraceful feminine males are, then adds strong men dont cry. The mother buys a 400 dollar dress and takes the kids to Christen church. - would you consider this women or her family to be perfect? |
Question: Should I let my parents control my life? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:53 PM PDT I will be turning 20 next month, and I am graduating with an associates degree. I have lived with my Parents for my first two years of college. I will be moving into the dorms in August. This summer I wanted to stay home and work so I won't be broke when I go to my new college. I told my parents about my plans last year, because they will not be here for 3 weeks. They Where ok with it until yesterday they said it would be unsafe. So I told them I would get a roomate and move out so I can stay and work. They said its up to them, should they be controlling me This much? |
Question: My parents always telling me I can't do something? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:48 PM PDT I was talking to my parents, and we were talking about my future (they do this a lot and lecture me too much), this sounds cliche but take everything I'm saying literally because I'm not exaggerating. We were talking about my future and I was saying how I didn't want a stereo typical '9 till 5 job' and my parents were saying how they should lower my expectations, saying that I was naive for wanting a job in a creative industry, or something that I enjoy. Am I just naive for wanting to do something creative? I am academic, I don't struggle in school, but I'm always getting put down by my parents with them taking about 'managing my expectations' etc. Should I just give up and listen to what they say about me being naive and not knowing the 'real world', or is it possible for me to have a job that pays well that I like? Thank you :) |
Question: Dads would you do this..? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:45 PM PDT I have to leave shortly to go pick up my juvenile kid who has a fetish for chicks that drive without shoes on.. Should I just shove my foot in his face |

Question: Is my mother being over the top? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:21 PM PDT For April Fools I did the cup upside down with water in it prank and later she came out yelling at me that is got on a gift card she was going to give to someone. I apologised profusely and offered the help but she dismissed me and told me to shut up and how stupid I am. An hour later my dad was showing us something in the garden he did and I commented on how it was fun and my mom said, "You better shut it or I'll rip your heart out." I didn't talk again. I understand why she'd be upset but is that much aggression necessary? |
Question: I saw my father having sex with my sister? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:16 PM PDT Ok so yesterday i came home from school early and found my little sis and my dad doibg it on the couch. Question: Why do moms enjoy doing nothing? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:09 PM PDT My mom literally never leaves the house. In 2 years, she has only accumulated 8 thousand miles on her car which a lot of it was brought on by my sister. It's kind of annoying because all she does is read and misses out on good opportunities. For instance, everybody is gone today besides me and her. I asked her if she wanted to go get lunch, and she responded with, "sure, go get me some Arby's." She doesn't even buy groceries anymore and she's a stay at home mom. I have to take time from studying to do it. Most of the time I have to spend my own money on this junk food. |

Question: How to get revenge on abusive older brother? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 11:56 AM PDT My brother is awful to me, and my parents never punish him. He calls me fat, weak, lazy and ugly on a daily basis (yet he is the one with D's in school and no friends.) he bosses me around and goes on about how dumb I am to my parents and they don't say anything. If I get mad at him, he physically attacks me and still doesn't get in trouble. How can I get revenge on him without getting in trouble? By the way, I'm 15f and he is 17. |

Question: Mom is Lazy and kinda selfish?!? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 09:58 AM PDT My dad had been talking to this guy who sells bulldogs, for a good price too. On Facebook, she told everyone that "there may be a dog in my future" on her picture she posted when i got all A s !! So then, the guy who sold the dogs contacted my dad saying there were 3 dogs left, and he asked my mom, she said no, we asked why, she said "because I don t want a dog." we said to her that we would take care of it and feed it and pick up all its mess. All she ever says is no. Examples: My brother-"can i have a pokemon pack? ill pay with my own money!" Mom- "no i don t want to drive there" My dad-"can we have a dog? we will take care of it and you don t have to do anything if you don t want" mom- "No" Dad-"why?" because i just don t want to take care of it!" She honestly says no to everything and its gotten to the point where my whole family can t stand that she doesn t trust us! what do we do?? |

Question: How do I deal with my rude step mom? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 09:23 AM PDT My dad remarried when I was 14, about 2 years after my mom died of cancer, even before they got married she was rude to me, calling me the devil child, the reason for their fights and that they will get divorced. She's been handling me really bad talking to me like I'm a piece of sh*t and nothing worth, she turned my dad against me and caused my brother to move out of the house. She says I just feel sorry for myself because my mom died and to make it worse she was my mom's friend, I used to look up to my dad, but since she happened I've been looking up to my boyfriend's dad more, I can't take this anymore, I've been diagnosed with depression since they got married and I've been self harming. I started smoking, drinking and stuff also since then. I'm 17 now and I'm close to losing it, my brothers, boyfriend and the horses are all that's keeping me here now. Please help me. I can't do this anymore |

Question: Is it legal for a parent to steal their 17 year old daughter s money? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 08:54 AM PDT The 17 year old works for her money. Every single dollar that is in her account. Now, her father wants to take money from her every time he feels she has done something bad, which is almost every day to him. Because he sees her as the house maid and if she tells her siblings what to do, doesn t clean the house, goes somewhere without permission, etc. he becomes angry at her and gives her a lecture on it. Is this legal for him to request her hard earned money just because he feels she has done something bad? Wouldn't this be considered stealing... |

Question: What I can do with my 12 yr old brother ? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 02:44 AM PDT I am 21 year old sister who has two brothers one is 14 and other is 12 . My youngest brother always swears at me , threatens to punch me , grabs a knife holds in front of me he also stole money from me and my parents and lies. The sad thing my parents won't do anything they not slightly Strick with him even if I told them he threatens to beat me up and stab me they said to slap him . But I told them if he acts cocky in front of me I will punch him as he attacks me , he kicked me and almost killed with huge butcher knife . I have no problems with my 14 yr brother he got often my back but my 12 yr old he always wants to get into fight with both of us. Also if he doesn't get what he wants he screams and tells mom which again won't do anything. Even if I sit still don't say anything he comes and annoys me throwing stuff into me . My 14 yr old brother suffers from him as well . Also today my parents asked him to do bit of house work to repay the money he stole from them again he started name calling me , blame me and threaten to punch me and that he is not affraid of me while my father listened he didn't do anything. He refused to do house work he sits near TV or plays all day with his ps vita He also acts nice when he is with parents he only acts nice towards them or when he gets things he wants while with me and my teen brothers he treats us like dirt and only nice if he gets something from us for short while. I often call him double face |
Question: How to reveal a surprise trip to Paris?!? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 01:53 AM PDT So my husband and I are both in the military. He s stationed state side and I am stationed in Germany. He is coming for a visit and thinks we are going to Italy. He really wanted to go to Paris, but I said no because it would be too expensive and Italy is closer. Well, I went ahead and booked everything for Paris to surprise him for a late birthday since we couldn t celebrate together. He flies in on Tuesday and we fly out to Paris Wednesday so I need a super quick (but cute) way to reveal the surprise with out just saying "oh by the way, we re going to Paris!" Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! |
Posted: 01 Apr 2017 01:17 AM PDT My mom is disabled, but has decided to get SSI 5 years later after Social Security cut her off the first time. I am a single mom of soon to be 3 and my income is enough to take care of half of my mom's rent, something on her light bill, and majority of the cable bill, and my expenses like cell phone bill, life insurance, etc ... My mom's gf helps out, but it's too much for her as she has her own expenses and is not really here to support. My mom expects someone to support her addictions like cigarettes, ice, and plastic processing caps. My mom smokes a a pack of cigarettes every other day or everyday. She stresses out when she doesn't have these things . I can't take all my income to support her because I am also in school part time while providing for me and my children. |
Question: How important is it to live by your families uncles &aunt & cousins? Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:52 AM PDT I been living in the west coast for a long time with no family member isolated feel lonely and all my family are living in the south |
Posted: 01 Apr 2017 12:13 AM PDT My grandmother passed away last night and I got a text message from my sister about it a group text message. For some reason that pissed me off. Shouldn't people have the courtesy to give a phone call about something like that? My family are also narcissists but wtf are there any normal people who can answer questions- not other sociopaths or narcs..im wondering if it's appropriate to text someone about the death of a grandmother- i think it's ridiculous, rude and sick. It's not only impersonal its just pathetic. Why would someone even do that. If I knew about it, I would call the people I know, not text them.. uh yes my family are narcissists and jerks do horrible things and have done in the past before. This is almost like a narc tactic so you can't really grieve. My b*tch sister called today to say "my son was acting up"--total bullsh*t..always makes excuses about her son and cant even talk on the phone. like people dont have kids and cant talk on the phone...i think it was awful and only after I told her off did she call me.. |

Question: Can I get advice on my immature sister please? Posted: 31 Mar 2017 10:20 PM PDT Okay I'm 23, so my twin sister is so immature I'm baffled. She is so high mantince and has never worked a Job. Her boyfriend is such a push over, I am irritated bc they just had a child and I love my nephew but she doesn't know the value of money and she bosses him around and he doesn't say anything. They had this expensive aparntment and no suprise bc they went homeless bc they couldn't afford it. And when they were homeless me and my boyfriend were nice enough to house them. Now after them being homeless they are doing the same thing over again. Buying things they don't need and etc. they got a super expensive place which they can't afford. With payments on there car and this is them with a child. I told her why doesn't she just get a apartment that's 600$ rather than an 2,000$ so they can save up. It's ridiculous and I feel so bad for her boyfriend bc when he agrees with me she yells at him in front of their child. She is not fit to be a parent she acts like she's 12. |
Posted: 31 Mar 2017 10:14 PM PDT I'm 27yrs old and the house in question is mine. I pay my own mortgage and bills. My parents are living with me right now and helping me with some minor repairs so I can put my house up for sale. Well, they are treating me like a child. The "minor" repairs have become major make-over projects that I don't really think are necessary. Recently it was repainting the entire house to white. Protested but was ignored, they said if it was their money, I shouldn't worry about it. I threw up my hands and said "as long as I'm not paying for it then." Now I work through the night. One of the projects was paint my bathroom. That means I have to stay up until they are finished. Painters didn't finish today, so we agreed I would wake up at noon and they would finish. Few minutes later mom comes storming in and orders me to wake up earlier if they arrive earlier. Now I had actually planned to do that anyway but being ordered to like a 12 yr old rubbed me the wrong way. I told her I'd get up when I got up. She says, "My money, my rules." I told her "okay" to appease her but I was irritated. Few minutes later she storms back in ordering me to help her with the front yard (something I told I would help with earlier) again, honestly it was just the way she ordered me about. I snapped at her and told her if it is such an inconvenience to help me then don't bother. We parted on that sour note. Going to give her a rose and apologize but still I'd like her to realize I'm not a little kid. Advice? |

Question: How do I get my Dad to understand my PTSD from childhood abuse (non-family abuse)? Posted: 31 Mar 2017 10:05 PM PDT |
Posted: 31 Mar 2017 09:43 PM PDT I was sick and out for 2 days. I had to make up all the work the day i came back as well as a test. I had a doctor appointment, which i have monthly, so i asked the teacher nicely if i could reschedule. She yelled at me and told me to get a parent on the phone. Then while on the phone she said, "come on hurry up.tell him vamons. does he understand " Vamonos is spanish for hurry up. She told me also that she will lower my grade because i didn't take the test that day n I will take it the next day. She did. So i went to put my test on my desk and went outside to call my sister and father to tell him to talk to her. She came and snatched my phone and then went into the room and throw my phone across the table. She yelled at me for socializing with friends. |

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 09:09 PM PDT High school sucks the life out of me. I hate it. I go to a school with tons of homework so I don't get excessive rest after school. Even if I don't have much homework school evenings aren't enough rest, so every week I mistakenly look forward to weekends so much and without fail on Friday night my dad announces the loads of work we have to do. When he says "tomorrow I'm getting you guys up early for yard work" or something I run to my room and cry before anyone notices. I just want to express my frustration and ask if I'm being reasonable to wish for almost full weekends to relax or if I'm being a spoiled brat. Thanks |

Question: I hate my mom and don't know what to do anymore? This is the last straw? Posted: 31 Mar 2017 08:01 PM PDT I'm 17 and live with my mom 12 hours away from any family we have. My mom has hit me, emotionally abused me by calling me fat, selfish, and more. I haven't had a bed since August and have been sleeping on the floor. My grandparents have sent money so many times to get me a bed but she won't buy me one. She sleeps on the living room couch. I've had an 101 fever for the past two days and got sent home from school. I've been coughing up blood and taking mess from the doctor and I've slept over 15 hours. I've been on the couch and she has her friend comes in (a grown man who she knows I hate because he's so mean and caused a horrible thing to happen in my life) and kicks me off the couch and onto the floor in my room where the neighbors are playing music so loud my floor is vibrating and I start sobbing because everything hurts and the music is making it worse. She comes and yells at me for being dramatic and slams my door and says she's not complaining anymore and let's them continue blasting the music because I'm too "extra". Later she tells me I can come lay on the living room floor... meanwhile her friend is laying on the couch... so she rather her sick daughter lay on the floor while her grown friend sleeps on the couch... I don't know what to do anymore and I can't take it here! Am I being dramatic? What do I do? |

Question: How do you respond when you couldn't care less about a relative's pregnancy? Posted: 31 Mar 2017 07:32 PM PDT Everyone is overjoyed over something a stray cat under my house just accomplished at the same time. It's simple biology, not a great accomplishment. |

Question: My fiancé gave me a gift for my birthday that I have to pay $2000 for. Is it ok? Posted: 31 Mar 2017 05:58 PM PDT A year ago my fiancé gave a gift for my birthday - a cruise trip to Alaska that worth $40,000 for my family (my mom, her husband and my sister). First it sounded amazing! But my family lives in Russia and visa expenses for my family would be at least $2000 out my pocket. I am struggling with bills right now, and I can't afford paying for it. My fiancé is calling me selfish etc. It just not s right time for me. All I did is I asked him if he could please discuss things like that with me in advance, bcs my family is involved. He is very mad. Please tell me if I am right or wrong in this situation. |
Question: How do I deal with my verbally abusive grandmother? Posted: 31 Mar 2017 05:46 PM PDT Honestly, I'm at the end of my rope in this situation. It didn't seem too bad when I was younger, around 10, when she would call me a fatass and slob. But at this point, 7 years later, it's gotten much worse. She constantly tells me that I'm "blocking" her happiness, and that she wants to move to California and leave us. She's threatening to drag me back to my home state, despite my pleas, all because she hates that I'm doing okay for once in my current high school. I've consistently told myself that nothing is wrong for the longest time, but all that I can think about now is finding a way to just end everything. I'm tired of living in an unloving home with a grandma who wouldn't even care if I took my own life; she's actually grunted "good" in response to my warnings about being suicidal a multitude of times before. I'm tired of typing everything, I just need options. I can't live like this anymore, it's going to kill me. |
