Posted: 07 Apr 2017 02:00 PM PDT Mom ran away with her two children (10 months and a three year old). They pretty much went off the radar for a little more than 30 years. Someone dropped a tip and the mom was arrested. How was the mom able to change their names? Did she get fake birth certificate and social security numbers for all of them? |

Question: Why is my mom in a bad mood and always yelling? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 01:10 PM PDT I come back from school or work and she's always yelling about small stuff like getting grocery or something small. I came to a point where i don't even eat breakfast from home because of her yelling even in the morning. Yesterday she cried saying that I leave home when she's off to get away from her and she was saying she's going to move out from the house and my brother and I can stay by ourselves. Why she's always in a bad mood or having like a bipolar personality or yelling all the time? is it because she's getting old? after my dad died 20 years ago, she refused to re-marry so is this frustration the fact that she knows the kids are leaving the house soon? or frustration from not getting a man's love? whats with this mood swings of hers? |
Question: Is what my brother is doing normal for guys? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 12:57 PM PDT I am my brother's younger sister. Most school nights I need his help with my home work. However most nights he locks his bedroom door and makes me wait until he is through spanking the monkey to help me with my homework. How can I convince him that helping me with my homework is more important than him spanking the monkey? |

Question: I want this man to be my dad? what's wrong with me? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 11:12 AM PDT i don't have "daddy issues". my dad is actually a very good dad....he's a better parent than my mom actually but about two years ago i met this man and i literally wish he was my dad. he's really handsome and cool and young. he would've had to have me young in order to be my dad (i'm 17) but it's possible i have siblings who i wouldn't trade, but i sometimes fantasize about being an only child who has this man as my father. i'm a straight girl, but i don't want this man to be my "daddy' in a sexual way. i just honestly want him to literally be my biological dad. i want to be his daughter, the most important person in his life why am i like this and what the hell is wrong with me |

Question: My wife lays in bed everyday but she sometimes cleans house too.? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 09:30 AM PDT She mainly sits up in bed to watch tv and color but she is also expecting. Question: My future mother-in-law is satan!? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 09:17 AM PDT I'm getting married next month and I'm having problems with my fiancé's mother. Fiancé and I have been together two years. The entire two years, she has been trying to ruin our relationship. She failed, I still don't appreciate it. This woman is 39 years old and has Borderline Personality Disorder. She acts childish. She disrespects me and talks behind my back to her 17 year old and 10 year old children, so I called her out on it in a calmly. I told her that I did nothing to deserve her disrespect and the fact that she continuously talks about me hurts my feelings. She apologizes and then acts like everything is okay, then talks poorly about me again. She gave me attitude after I simply told her how it hurt me. She said "whatever" and then told me I needed help for thinking she talks about me, even though her son and her two daughters will tell me that she talks poorly about me. I blocked her on Facebook to discontinue contact with her, and she gets on her youngest daughter's account to comment on my posts, acting like the 10 year old child. I instantly unfriended her and said nothing else. I am so freaking sick of this. I know she isn't as bad as other's, but I feel as though I can't strike back at her given she's my fiancé's mother, and there's a substantial age difference. I don't want to tear him away from his family, because that would be absolutely horrible. I just want a solution. I'm thinking she's acting this way now because we're getting married next month... Help? |
Posted: 07 Apr 2017 08:59 AM PDT Have to say I have an amazing aunt, who offered to buy us (mom, me and my family) a new home. I have been my gma primary caregiver for years, and my children have as well. This last year by far has been the hardest. I had to step down from being her caregiver (dementia) because CPS said kids shouldn't be helping. My mom who lived in the home (entire life) needed to step up and help. Gma passed away 2 mnt ago. Aunt offered to buy us a new house for taking care of Gma. I have financially supported my mother for over a year and still doing so. We have moved into new house, I have paid deposit to utilities, inspection. While still giving her money. Last night I was telling her how amazing it is here.she needs to hurry and get her stuff here. I was told that she hated my furniture and hubby's family wasn't welcomed at "her" house. All I heard for the hr on phone was "her" house. I said mom isn't it "our" house? No! My sis bought it for ME! she said so on the patio that night. Talk about not feeling like this was home anymore. I got quite she says "oh I see what's going on here".. I don't want to unpack anymore I want to go back to storage. Why are we here? If it isn't"our"home. I don't know what to say or how to address this. And according to aunt after I was given a list of to-do's at 7 am.. I was told this is my "moms" house. ... I sucked it up to live with her because it was to be "our" house. |
Question: Is there a way to compromise with my roommate over males staying over? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 08:12 AM PDT I am a 25-year-old American woman and my roommate is a 26-year-old Chinese woman. We have lived together since August and our lease is up the end of June. After asking my roommate if my boyfriend of 6/7 months could spend the night she said no because "having a male stay in our apartment makes her uncomfortable and that it would cause her to stress out." I'm not particularly happy about it but I had a roommate in college who wasn't okay with a boyfriend spending the night. I asked if her discomfort would extend to my dad and stepmom staying over and she said that she would still be uncomfortable even if it's my dad. I am having a hard time accepting this because they may not be able to afford to visit me if they have to stay in a hotel. Plane tickets across the US are expensive. While I could travel home to visit them, they have never been to the city I live in. Is it unreasonable of me to ask that my dad and stepmom stay with me for a couple of days? I should note she was fine when my mom came to visit, as it was just her. As there are cultural differences, can anyone with knowledge of Chinese culture shed some light? How can I have a meaningful conversation with her about this in which we come to a compromise? As is, I feel like I am the only one compromisng. |
Posted: 07 Apr 2017 07:54 AM PDT My little sister had unprotected sex a couple days ago in my brother's bed while he's in the Army and she trashes his room and won't clean it back up. Last time I had to clean it up, this time my mother had to clean it up, and it really pisses me off that she's so lazy. Not to mention we're poor as hell, so we can't afford a child, but she's willing to put her lust before family. And get this, she's now asking Dad for new contacts which cost about $200. We need the money for groceries. When he says no, she gives him a bunch of attitude calling him annoying and giving him stank face even though he works his *** off from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. every weekday. She's reckless and selfish and I can't stand her. Her being in the same house puts me such a bad mood. |
Question: Do you think this is fair? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 07:46 AM PDT I am seventeen years old and i live with my little brother and mother. I feel like i do most of the housework. I cook nearly all of our meals, my mom might cook once or twice a month. I feel like i am always cleaning up after dinner too, although my mother does do the dishes weekly. I just feel like she doesnt care for me or my brother, but do you think i am just being melodramatic? I know i have to help out but if the housework was divided evenly i would be happy. I told her this and she said i was ungrateful because she pays the bills here. I guess thats true?? Idk what do you think? |

Posted: 07 Apr 2017 07:19 AM PDT A little while ago I had a relationship with a boy online. My parents found out, and were understandably very upset. I let them shut down all the social media accounts I remembered, and my parents said if there were any more I hadn't told them about, then I would be in serious trouble. I really though I remembered all of them, but I guess they investigated my email (they took away my phone). I got an email from a chat website I never remembered signing up for, and it was requesting to change the password. This means that they found it. I really don't want to get in trouble, because I was NOT lying to them. I need some advice! |
Posted: 07 Apr 2017 07:05 AM PDT So last night I told the mother of my child to start studying to get her GED. I told her she needs to get a education and get a career. That she won't have to work. While going to school. She literally blew up. She comes from a family that always argues, every one of them doesn't have a education. The parenting skills is poor. There is always yelling and arguing in the house. The house is always dirty. I told her to break the cycle and make goals like studying one section and then passing one section. why would she flip out? |

Question: Does this woman deserve to die? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 01:58 AM PDT Anyways, shes a mother that dated a man who tried to have sex with her 12 year old daughter. The daughter was beaten by the boyfriend as well but the mother ignored it, kept dating the man and even allowed him around the daughter again. The 12 year old hangs herself. Everyone is blaming the mother for failing to protect the daughter and saying the mother needs to die - should this mother die? |
Posted: 07 Apr 2017 01:36 AM PDT I have suffered from his apathy and some weird actions most of my life. I'm 33 now. Since mom's operation my dad lives in another house. She made him leave.Which is so much better for me and her now. Since that day mom has changed. She's definitely more sensitive, angry & fights with everyone. Even her siblings. They have made some stupidities I can tell. However, I ignore that fact. Now she almost doesn't talk to anybody except me. We are good friends, we go to movies, to the pool and beach and travel together. That's when she's real fun and outgoing. The problem is by time I have started feeling drained and as if I'm her bf. At times I simply need space to travel or work or study or even sleep. I do this most of the time but at other times she doesn't understand this space and sometimes she cries and bursts into tears about how lonely she feels. And I tell her.why don't u celebrate that you're in better health and the annoying husband isn't here anymore? Sometimes she's very energetic and at other times she sleeps for days. She doesn't show her depression much.At times I'm helpful whether by advice or taking her out for fun & at times I just let her try to find a purpose and not yield to whatever -vr thoughts since I can't be that caretaker who pampers her and now take care of myself. Now I'm exhausted and most of the time worried about her.i have no clue what to do. I appreciate some solid advice please! I can't even travel for my masters. She has nobody out there. |
Question: My mom is forcing family time and wants out family to be all sunshine. What should I do ? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 12:38 AM PDT I know that my mom wants the best for all of us and wants us to all get along, but I feel like my mom doesn t want to see the truth. We all live at my moms house (my dad has passed away), and we are four children in total : my brother is 13, my little sister is 15, I m 19 and my big sister is 21. She wants us to almost constantly be together and have fun, but we re all so different, so it s basically impossible. We go on walks together on weekends, but that s basically it. I feel like my mom is trying too hard to bring us together and is disappointed when we re not having fun. I often fight with my big sister, and she s toxic to me, but my mom desperately wants us to get along, while I don t have to deal with her. How can I convince her that you can t force family members to get along and that she can t expect it to be the case ? |
Question: How would you deal with issues with your Brother-in-law? Posted: 07 Apr 2017 12:35 AM PDT This all started before my wife and I were married when my brother-in-law makes the call to my wife basically addressing that he believes shes changed a lot. He said she always wanted to be a doctor but then got into education. She was a principal and she'd just moved to Houston for me and at the time was just a teacher. And like him, she'd always wanted to be rich...which to his credit he has accomplished and is very rich and successful. My wife was very upset by his comments and she shared what he'd said to me which made me furious but I chopped it up to a big brother just wanting the best for his sister but I was offended personally mostly because by that time we'd all hung together, partied together, spent the night at each others homes. I was hurt because although he was challenging his sister but he was also challenging her lifestyle and mine or at least what I could offer her. Now fast forward 4 years later this past Christmas when over a disagreement between my wife and him my brother-in-law describes his sister as a person who has "given up on life" and some other things I have seemed to forgotten probably due to my anger but pretty much saying at the least belittling her life which in essence is my life. I feel that way I feel and Im ok with that but I'd like others opinions. How would you feel if this was you and how would you handle this situation?? |
Question: Should I b mad at my fiancé? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 11:39 PM PDT Her mom and step dad fight every week and we always run to they rescue but this time her mom had to go to the hospital again but I have to be at work at 3am and it s 10pm now and she mad at me cus I said no.....also I just started my job |
Question: What should me and my mom do next? Help! We have nowhere to live that's normal? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 11:16 PM PDT Hi so long story short, my mom and I moved back to our home state after living with her BF for 7 years. I'm 19 yrs old girl and I have no credit and my mom has bad credit. We both have no Cars money or jobs and can't get jobs cause we don't have a real place to live we just staying with different relatives cause we have no money. My mom doesn't want assistance cause of her pride and won't let me get it either. If I got assistance she would know obviously cause I'd be using it for us and she would prob not speak to me or force me to cancel it. We can't rent cause it's expensive and right now we're living a family members who is planning on moving out of state soon so then we would have to live with my grandparents who smoke in the house and it's so gross. We are supposed to go visit tomorrow and I have a sinus infection and I'm dreading having to go breathe the smoke. I just don't know what to do we have no way out of this rut I feel like. And on top of that my mom has to pay her ex bf money she owes and she owes me over $1500 too. I have no money left to contribute and she doesn't either. Idk what to do :( and it was rainy today so that made everything feel worse |
Question: Does it bother you that people (especially kids) are obsessed with technology? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 11:07 PM PDT i hate how people are obsessed with technology now a days! I even got obsessed with technology for a while, but i am trying to hard to change, i don't want to live this kind of life. In the 1950's and decades like that everybody was so life like, it was adorable. Even when I was growing up in the 1970's people were still life like, In my house I life with my husband, my 2 daughters and my niece lives with us and our house is very very quiet, no one really talks to each other. The only sound in our house is keyboard typing, mouse clicking, and that noise when you plug in an iPhone to charge it, everybody is in their bed under the blankets on their phones, I constantly go in their rooms and see them under the blanket and I see a light coming from the blanket, their screen. I am not the ones who bought them these phones, my husband did and I was mad about it. It's becoming too much, I really wish my children were growing up in like the 1970's when I grew up or something, they are social media obsessed kids, they depend on technology for everything. I constantly cry because of what is happening,, it seems that everyone is with technology now, even when I go to a super market or something I see kids on phones. My niece is only 4 years old and her mother bought her the new iPhone 7 for her birthday back in January.I wish I was born in like 1895 so I would have been dead already.Does anyone else feel this?Does anyone else hate modern technology? Modern world is so boring and stupid |
Question: Help! How can I find a way to contact my sister? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 10:53 PM PDT I grew up in an abusive home and my family set one rule. That everyone must stay away from each other in separate rooms and never at the same time in the kitchen. I became an adult and got kicked out homeless after attacked. They made a restriction notice though I wasn t charged for anything. My sister was doesn t have any type of social life, no friends no lover and never has. She lives with my biological mother but my mother will not let me contact her or see her. they don t live where they used to as they were evicted and won t tell me. my sister is an adult age but lives completely like a 5 year old for how she was raised. I want to meet her again. I wasn t to help her from our evil mother. No one else I know has her number or such either that will tell me. She may have email or a cell, i know she has no Facebook. What can I do to contact her? is there a law against them not letting me see her? |

Question: So, from a adult standpoint, what to do for fighting parents? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 10:14 PM PDT I just graduated college, new job and all that. So i have only been home for breaks and then temporarily now until i move out. My parents have been married for 25 years and still fight like clockwork every week. Their fighting is my mom screaming for hours about everything, being verbally abusive and bringing up crap from even along time ago(as alotta moms do). Of course, i can understand why she gets mad sometimes(especially b/c my dad repeatedly does the same kind of things that set her off). I think also she gets very angry for no reason or it's a pointless thing. I know as their child, I wont know everything that has gone on in their relationship BUT i know alot of the main problems, ive been knowledgeable of these fights as long as i can remember. From a adult standpoint, I dont know what to do. It happened again this night and I'm so fed up. I just dont know how to intervene. Ive tried in the past and my mom doesnt even want to listen to my thoughts and my dad doesnt either. Thats why i gave up intervening, figure now i should try tomorrow when it should be calmer. They just dont even seem to love eachother anymore and of course that makes me sad but part of me thinks theyd be better of just to get a divorce...so any advice? experience? Much appreciated yahoo fam!!! |
Posted: 06 Apr 2017 10:00 PM PDT About a year ago I've been remembering repressed memories of child abuse and molestation from my mother. She is evil and I've cut all ties from her. I had a mental break down with remembering everything and went into hospital..my boyfriend then left me and I had nowhere to turn to other than my let down of a father. He failed me as a child and has never helped me out in the past even when I struggled the most. He has never offered to help me out in any way. He is well off but very stingy and selfish and although he is helping me out now..(only if it benefits him) it doesn't make up for all the years he never noticed all the signs me and my siblings were being abused. I feel really angry, upset..and worst of all I feel uncomfortable around my father.. I've never liked being around him. I hardly spoke to him for 10 years after I moved out. It's just now I'm out of hospital and in part time work and I am no longer independent. I am stuck with him and I have nowhere to turn to. I have always felt like he looks at me inappropriately. I feel I can't wear a tank top or shorts without him looking at me. He comes into my room and looks at my opened underwear drawer..or waits for me to get out the car first it's like he's watching. I feel like my life is bleak at best...I don't know what to do or how to get out of this. I don't know how to handle this it just makes me cry. I feel so violated and trapped. |
Question: Why won t my mom let me do online surveys? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 09:02 PM PDT Read it slowly because if you read it fast, It will sound mean. Im not trying to sound mean person. I just want to be answered and helped and being understand by other people. Or just answer the question and not reading all that. (Im 14 btw) Ok, i live in north quebec. Last year, i went to montreal with youth fusion. It was fun! Until i lost my form/ID and my wallet in arcade. Im 14 and will go to waswanipi with youth fusion again(im happy! :D). Im really excited! But i dont have my form/ID, or it is expired. My mom says "yours is expired and you lost form/ID 3 times. You cant go because its expired and theres no way you will fly to go there. No sun card, no fly." Something like that. Its depressing/hurting me. I cant let my feelings out and i wanna hurt myself for being bad person. I want a space from my home and family. I dont wanna stay home all day and do nothing. That depresses me and stress me out. Im not saying i dont love my family. Im saying i want a space. My home village is still small and theres nothing to do at all. I want to see new things i never seen and i want to learn more than i learn things from school. Waswanipi seems its really fun and will be fun. QUESTIONS: in Question box. And/or are there other ways to enter a plane? I really want to go. |
Question: I got grounded for 2 weeks? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 08:50 PM PDT So I got a F on a math test, I hate math, so when I return home, my mom says that I am grounded for 2 weeks unless I improve my math grades which is hard. The rules are: No food, no drinks, no computer, no TV, diapers (no toilet), no room door. So I feel like a stupid baby with those diapers? Can you tell me what to do, she did not take my phone away so I am writing this on my phone. Also my dad is abusive and can't unground me. |

Question: Can I move out of my mom's apartment, also wasting a gift with knowing code? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 08:31 PM PDT I'm 16 and 6'1 sleeping on a filthy couch that's around 5'8, and I can stand my mom and my sister whom is 18 and doesn't pay any thing. Can I move out of my moms 2 bed room apartment, and move with my dad. I can't sleep at night, because cockroaches crawl on my face, my mom and sister turn lights on and off all night long, they keep keep me from sleeping, when I have school the next day. That caused my grades to drop like crazy from all A's to all C's and D's. My mom has her own room like obliviously, and my sister who doesn't pay for rent, bills anything, plus she is an adult. Has a room to herself, and all she doesn't is laugh at night, and get angry when my mom tells her do to something. Then she yells at me, too do it. I have a gift with coding, but I can't really expand it, because of not having oppunitiunes, I don't know what to do, anymore. I can stand it, I get yelled at for stuff my adult sister doesn't do. If some people can give me answers. On what I can do, I also know a lot about game developing, coding, hacking, all that kinds of computer stuff. But i don't know anymore, I feel like I might just end up wasting a skill that I was given, and end up homeless or working a dead end job! Please help! |
Question: Are people just born the way they are? I.e. *******, compassionate, rational...? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 08:23 PM PDT Why are people (maybe even siblings)with the same parents, same schools, same opportunities, similar upbringings so different? I never really understood how me and my siblings and my friends and their siblings could all be SO different even though we've pretty much had an identical childhood. Are people just born to be *******, or lazy or intelligent? People are born gay so why can't they just be born with a natural aptitude for d-baggery or charity |
Question: Why does my mom think this ...? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 08:14 PM PDT My mom is a "stereotypical Asian/Chinese parent" and she thinks my friend is a bad influence on me. I'm in 7th grade and she just turned 18. She doesn't dislike her because of the age, its because of the fact that she thinks she wears too much makeup and wears revealing clothes. My mom doesn't even like me hanging out with kids my own age who wear lots of makeup and wear crop tops or short shorts. I don't get why my mother has a problem with kids who wear makeup, but she thinks that those kids who wear alotta makeup and revealing clothes are the ones who are the worst influences. She told me that those girls are the ones who don't focus on their schoolwork and want to draw lots of negative attention from other people. From her opinion she thinks that kids should be "clean and tidy". Once she told me that i'm not allowed to be wearing makeup or anything adult like when i'm posting selfies because "people will think i'm a bad influence" and other parents wont want THEIR kids to hang out with me. Why does she think that people who wear lots of makeup are the ones who are bad influences on other kids and also do not take school seriously? |

Question: How do I help my brother? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 06:43 PM PDT I think my brother is very depressed and I'm worried for him. He is 11 and our Father abandoned us about 9 years ago. My mother is very depressed and lonely. This leads to her secluding my brother and I from her life so he probably feels neglected and worthless. Mom started seeing her ex-boyfriend secretly and ultimately got into a bunch of other bad habits like smoking. Her ex- boyfriend was a bad role model. He is probably the worst person imaginable for her. He showed no respect for anyone and was extremely mean to my brother and I whenever we used to try to talk to our mother, but my mother refuses to acknowledge the severity of the situation. We live with our grandparents, my mother and brother and I. They do so much for my brother and I, but are basically too old to do what the other parents do for their kids like taking him to extracurricular activities, sports, and organizing social events. I would do that stuff but I don't get my license for another 4 months. I've been dealing with this bullshit most of my life but I'm going away to college next year, so I'm fine. but I don't know about my brother. Thoughts? What can I do to help him and make things better for him? |
Question: Does this sound like sexual abuse or normal for a child? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 06:22 PM PDT Ok , I will try to type all what I can remember. I was about maybe 10 years old and I was Laying on the bed or couch and I grabbed the doll and I think I was pretending it was someone ( not sure if a guy or what ) and I was under the covers and rubbed against the doll or I moved the doll up And down? .. it seemed like it felt good to me.. I'm not sure if I was pretending to have sex with the doll , I don't know if i knew sex at that time or not . of course I know body exploration is normal for toddlers and young children to preteens etc but what about this much? I think I did this a couple times. I think to me it felt like a " sexual experience ". So what do you guys think ? Normal? Or It just could mean more? |

Question: I Have Family Issues, Can Someone Pls Help? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 05:37 PM PDT I'm 11 and I have a fully-functional small family, but my relatives and extended family, on the other hand, I have issues with. My grandmother died when I was 2 years old, and I never met my grandfather. After her funeral, my parents tried to do everything to keep in touch with my father's brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, etc, but nobody ever replied to us. We tried everything, but we have no chance. We haven't talked to them since 2008- it's almost been 10 years. As for my grandmother, my mother didn't tell me how she actually died until 8 years after her death. She died from heart disease and former smoking, which, I figured out on the same day, my dad suffers from, and almost died as well. My family never talks about her, so I had to search the Internet to find out who she really was and find branches of my relatives. Some days I just feel lost. I see others with their families back and forth , and it just makes me angry, upset, etc. I can only pray to ever see them again., and it makes me feel awful- that they used to love us, until someone they loved more left them. That little girl thy used to know? She's now almos 12 and feels horrible some days, and cries at night because you loved her, and you cut her off from your life. |
Question: My dad is invading my privacy!? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 05:35 PM PDT Okay, so a couple of days ago my dad walked on me watching porn and then he went and told the whole house about it including my sisters and mom. and now he's blackmailing me to do stuff for him etc etc and he also thought it was funny i was doing that and he was being a prick when he told my mom, my mom wanted my phone asap and she said she would give it back to me soon, she hid it in a spot and today she said i could have it back and when I went to go look for it, turns out my dad took it this morning and he has a habit of going through my stuff not my sisters Like for instance one morning I was sleeping and I woke up to him asking me for my pattern for my lockscreen because he needed to "call somebody" and then I woke up to find him going through it I hate him so much what do I do |

Question: I'm starving and there's no food in the house? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 05:09 PM PDT My parents have recently been neglecting me and my younger brother. I don't have any money, and I'm not allowed to go out by myself. I haven't eaten in a week, besides some water and some raisins (which we're out, btw). I've scanned the fridge and I have only seen 1 month old lasagna and 3 week spaghetti. Checked the pantry and there's nothing in there. And I'm not even going to bother ordering food, my parents will get like the devil if I do that without their permission (which they will never let me do.) I seriously need help and I can't even call CPS because my phone can't make phone calls and my parents' phones are always with them which means I can't get anywhere near them. Does anyone have ANY way of helping? (besides eating the spoiled crap in the fridge, of coarse.) |
Question: My oldest sibling punishes me because i'm the youngest in my family!? Posted: 06 Apr 2017 04:41 PM PDT Hi! I'm a 13 year old girl and I am the youngest of my siblings. I have a 14 year old sister and a 16 year old brother. I get good grades in school and I am very well behaved! I make mistakes and have accidents sometimes, but I never do it on purpose! My parents don't punish me because I don't do anything bad, and my parents let me go to Starbucks when I'm good! The problem is, due to never getting punished, my brother sees me as a spoiled brat. Well, it's normal for kids to see their youngest sibling as a spoiled brat, but that's not the problem! Here's the problem! My brother thinks that because he's the oldest and I'm the youngest, that he can parent me! He always tells me what I can and can't do, and bosses me around! He punishes me too! Whenever he sees me "do something bad", he punishes me by making me sit in the basement(I HATE it down there!), taking away my privileges, and even spanking me! I'm not actually misbehaving! I'm talking about when I accidentally break something, or mistakingly take something I didn't know was his, or do something he thinks is wrong but is really not wrong. I love to sing, and I'm actually a really good singer, but my brother punishes me when I sing because he thinks I'm a bad singer and that I should not sing! He tells me what I have to get at restaurants when we go out to eat, and he also tells me when I can and can't eat, even when I'm hungry, and if I don't do what HE wants, he spanks me and takes away my electronics. Whenever he takes something away from me, he puts it where I can't reach it(He's 6 ft, while I'm only 5'2. My sister is 5'3.)! He also punishes me by not letting me go to Starbucks! Even if my parents allow me to get something from Starbucks, I'm still not allowed all because of him! My brother is so mean to me too! He has been parenting and punishing me since I was little, and I've always hated it! He only does it to me! He never does any of this to my sister, and never even did it when she was my age last year! I tried telling my parents about how he is not my parent and should not be parenting or punishing me, but they don't do anything about it! I thought my parents were the ones who were supposed to parent and punish me! The only reason why my parents never punish me is because im well behaved and I don't do anything bad! None of my friends who are the youngest in their family get punished by their oldest sibling because their parents actually acknowledge that it's wrong! I just come from an abnormal family! I just want my brother to stop parenting and punishing me! I'm not allowed to tell anyone outside my family, so please don't tell me to tell my relatives or anyone at school! How can I get through to my parents about this and make them stop my brother? Please help me! |
