I don't like my surname and a girl at work keeps calling me by my full name. It's annoying. But also I don't like it because customers then hear and know my full name when they don't need to know it. I've asked her to just call me by my first name and use it but she keeps doing it. My surname is unique and sounds silly and I know she's deliberately saying it to annoy me and make fun of me. Other colleagues have even said "is that really you're surname?!" And then I see her smirking with them. What's even more annoying is she has a stupid surname too and I've tried calling her by her full name a few time back too and then she just looks at me really shocked and like I've done something terrible. Why is she doing this to me? What will make her stop?

I'm fed up of being walked all over. I've been told by many people I'm "too nice" and no one respects me. People don't think any more of me for being kind and cooperative so I want to be the same back. I'm in high school, I'm an introverted teen girl who stands her ground at all times and doesn't make friends quickly. I do not feel as if I'm better than anyone else, just more on the defense. My friends are so naïve and just... pathetic. They let guys treat them badly because they think they're in "love". They let other people walk all over them. They believe standing up for themselves is "mean". They're pretty weak, and weakness is my biggest pet peeve, next to stupidity. I am a relatively dominant person, therefore I do not allow others to control me at all. I do not want this to rub off on me at all, but then again I don't feel like making new friends. I'm not a people person. They're good friends, but their pitiful behaviors are just disturbing to me. How do I deal with this?

It all started over a year ago when I read about the abduction/torture/murder of a high school student. I was traumatized and had "fantasies" where I WAS her. In fact, last summer, I went to the country where she lived, and that was when the gruesome thoughts were rampant and consumed me inside out! I was being violently tortured by strangers inside of a desolate basement-- my mutilated body left exposed, and blood dripping down my face. There was one boy who haunted my every waking moment; I can clearly remember his smile amidst the screams and pain. As it turned out, HE was the one who actually killed her. Photos of her killers send chills down my spine as if I know them before. They look so familiar. I used to thought that the worst deaths are through torture and wondered if a young girl was ever kidnapped and died that way. It was her! Her story just sounds too good to be true! Worse, we look just alike! Everyone has pointed that out! We resemble each other in looks, personalities, and birthdates. No one in my family knows about her, so I don't know why she looks so familiar to me. I also have a, ugh, natural "fear of boys." I guess you can call it that. Maybe it can be attributed to the cruel things they did to her. When I was 5, I had a fantasy wherein a group of men were pinning me down, and I couldn't move. To this day, I still don't know how I thought of something like that at such a young age, but it could be because of her. I'm 13. I have always had this fascination with her country of origin and yearned to work over there. After reading this, I'm scared to death every time I think of that country! I visited last summer, and I couldn't do a single thing because almost every cruel moment was spent imagining what happened to her-- the beatings, derision, cries, everything! God! Every time I look at her picture, it's like I'm looking into a mirror. I want to get revenge for her!! I want to relieve myself from that pain!!!

I have this friend at my school but last year he went to a different school. When I talk to him he sometimes brings up the topic of dating. He talks about how I should date his friends from his old school. I'm not sure why he talks about this so much (it is a different person each time). I've been in college for 2 years now. I go to a large school with so many types of people. I've been trying to make friends this whole time and it just seems like nobody likes me. I'd consider myself a normal person who can relate to most other girls my age, and although I'm not super outgoing, I am friendly and put effort into trying to make friends, but it's always to no avail. I even have joined organizations to be more involved and I have yet to make any friends in those. When I do talk to someone it's as if things are great and talking is fine, but then they never talk to me again or even say hi. I find no pleasure in my days and I feel so lonely sometimes that I want to drop out. Am I maybe just weird and I don't see it? I know this question sounds very juvenile, but there is some pretty weird history between this girl and I and I don't know what to do. Please hear me out. So a few months back everything was fine and we were friends, but then one night when we were with other friends she just randomly told me to "**** off". I later asked her what was wrong, she wouldn't tell me. I then asked her if it was my fault and she just said "sort of" and walked away without giving me any other explanation. Then in late December I hosted a Christmas party. I decided to not invite her because I didn't feel comfortable doing so plus we weren't really talking much. But, she got really offended that I didn't invite her and started talking to other people about how "she doesn't know why i'm mad at her" and how it was rude of me to not invite her etc, etc. She also said some other rude and nasty things to my friends and about me along the way, but we won't get into that. So now my birthday is coming up and I'm writing out the invite list and I can't decide whether to invite her or not. Of course, I've forgiven her automatically for what she said because holding grievances is too much energy (despite her never apologizing) plus I feel bad for her because she doesn't have many/any close friends, but then she's just so problematic and non of my friends (including myself) are very fond of her. But, if I don't invite her, I risk starting more drama. I just need someone else's perspective on this. Thanks!

Ok, so I'll tell you this much: My parents are usually quite nice people. The only thing though, they are a bit adamant and clingy to their culture. My dad, well, he's a bit more tolerant. But mom, she's clingy to her culture, and is like "follow our culture, western culture is bad" and stuff. I'm not allowed to go to my friend's place only if necessary, like for working on a project. If it's a party, yes, but only if the friend has no brothers (I'm a girl). Like seriously, I get what they mean, but still, a LOT of my friends have brothers, so I can't hang out with them. Also, I'm not allowed to hang out, unless it's with at least 4 people, and it can only be like 2 hours long, AT MOST, only on weekends, and only for projects and stuff. They do allow me to go to parties, but they don't really like it. Also, they have NO trust in me. Like, they won't let me do anything (like mentioned above), or trust me. Ive known Anna since 4th grade we were inseparable and I loved her more than I should. So there's girl who's parents are friends with my parents. My long-time friend still lives w/her parents and has a boyfriend who works part-time (same as she does now) and minimum wage. She has never had a full-time job, despite being old enough to have had one by now. When a guy stays in touch with you all the time. When you know he cares a ton for you, and jumps at every opportunity to take care of you. When he hugs you, checks in, fixes things, and remembers everything you tell him. When you feel him slowly building trust with you... When he is always there for you and has your back. I was five years old. I was at a sleepover with my best friend whom I met at dance class. We were watching Harry Potter, and she wanted to show me something on the ground. My 10 year old daughter has ADHD and I got a call from her school saying that she hasn't been playing very nicely with a group of kids on the playgrounds. She started playing with some girls who are about 2-3 years younger than she is. She has been talking about things she learned during sex ed in a more age-inappropriate version and has been teasing these girls because they're not as big as she is. I put her in school counselling and am trying my best to refrain her from being a bully. She needs to be reminded that she should not discuss topics like menstruation or private parts inappropriately. She says that it makes the younger girls laugh and everyone thinks it's funny. The thing is that she doesn't understand boundaries very well and their parents might be upset if she exposes that kind of information to other kids. She doesn't have common interests with kids in her grade and all of them basically exclude or ignore her. I need her to understand that some of these topics make people feel uncomfortable and she should only discuss it at appropriate times. Also that teasing is bullying in some ways and she should not tease younger children because she has an unfair advantage.

My job at work is to install and maintain the computer systems. A fellow worker and friend ask me to go to her house and get a computer she bought on ebay working. When I got there, she was not home but her teenage daughter was. My guess is the daughter is about 16 years old. While I was working on the computer, the daughter's boyfriend came by. After a while, I heard noises from a bedroom and it was oblivious the daughter and boyfriend were having sex. After I completed getting the computer running I had to walk by the bedroom to leave. I have met a friend at university. We have never had the same lectures but he used to write me regularly, even though it was mostly just a small talk. I haven't start any of these conversations but I liked them. We both went to the ball recently and before he had promised to have a dance with me. But when we met he was so cold, he just stared at wall behind me said like few nonsense words and that was all. He is normally an extravert I would say and very polite one, so I was shocked. He knows that sometimes I have the tendencies to avoid something or someone so he had written me before I won't avoid him at that ball which sounds slightly funny to me right now. I have no idea what I did wrong.

problem arises where should we plan it???none of the friends houses are free and his dad is dead against parties so we can't go to his house. if we want him to come over a dining place so what should tell him???please help me his b'day is on 8th of march.

So the case is I got in argument with this guy(it wasn t some big deal stuff tho) and now he wants to beat me up he is callin his friends on me and idk what to do.I have pics where he send me picture of his knife,boxer...(he is 16) so the question is what could I do.btw sorry for my english it is bad af 😂

I have a hard time keeping female friends. I've had many best friends (female) that just disappeared. It seems like it's always the same pattern. We get into one argument and it's over. It makes me feel like. we might've just been surface friends to begin with.I call it a surface relationship because when you get into arguments with parents or siblings they don't just cut you off that easily, sure they might get mad, but they don't just disappear entirely out of your life. With my female friends everything is always fine, we never have arguments, then the minute we have our first argument/disagreement they run away. They stop answering my calls, texts, and messages. I'm so serious, this has been the case with 5 female friends. My sister always laughs at me saying I have a new female friend every year and sadly it is true. I'm a 22 year old female and I can't make a female friend stick. I'm so tired of this because yes, I can make male friends stick until they get girlfriends. The moment that happens they get incognito on me, I've had male friends tell me their girlfriends said they could no longer talk to me because I was 'too pretty.'I just feel like my life is gonna be lonely. I don't have a boyfriend because I'm focusing on school right now and I barely have friends.I don't know what to do anymore. Should I just stick to myself? I just feel like everyone around me is temporary, here for now and then they disappear. What's wrong with me?

I'm a 32 year old I female I was in an abusive elationship just now and now I find that people don't respect me. I don't know hwy but people try ot take advantage of me every chance they get. how can I stop being a push over?
