My family is always bringing me down. My "friends" only hit me up when they need something. My "best friend" takes advantage of me. I'm such a good friend to her, I'm always there for her. She well not really. Anyways, my love life sucks. Whenever a new guy comes into my life, they always end up hurting and leaving me. I'm so tired of this. I feel like just turning into a complete B****. To be mean to everyone..to use them like they use me. Literally my whole life I've been hurt by people. By people I cared for. I've been backstab and used by them. I'm so fed up with it! I'm literally such a good person to everyone.. Whenever a new person comes into my life (especially guys), I get attach fast. So when they end up leaving my life( because they always do) it hurts a lot. To the point where now i'm afraid to get back out there. I don't want to keep getting hurt. ( long story short my friend was adopted and her real mom just threw her away) and shes telling that her adopted mom always says that she will be just like her real mother. she always puts her down and calls her crazy, she cant even talk about anything because that would somehow end up in her step mom calling her crazy. she told me that her step curses her and says that she cant sleep at night. but someims her step mom acts nice. Her step mom always tells her that no one gives a **** about her and that she cant wait till she leaves. She's always looking for way to yell at her. help what can I do for my friend at this point ?? |

I just found out that she does drugs, and her and her boyfriend physically punch each other. Her boyfriend is incredibly violent, and got in trouble for punching a relative and a dog. Usually I mind my own business.... but we're talking about the lives of children. These people are trash. She takes away kids from their unstable parents... but her and her boyfriend are the definition of unstable!! am I just paranoid?? It feels wrong to sit here and say nothing. I mean these are children she's supposed to be saving... Should I just mind my own business? or tell someone in charge? can I do it anonymously? |

| Question: All my interests are changing? Posted: 15 Oct 2018 12:12 PM PDT I'm a 15 year old girl, and I've always had a specific set of interests that I've loved. For example, a few months ago I was obsessed, and I mean obsessed, with anime, cosplay, other things that are similar... I used to love Christmas and Halloween, I would go all out every year with my costume and room decorations. I had always loved those things for years, but then something changed out of nowhere. Over the course of a week, I lost my interest in cosplay, suddenly started heavily disliking anime (it makes me uncomfortable now), Christmas didn't seem like such a big deal anymore, and Halloween didn't seem like that big of a deal either. Those aren't the only things, just the few main ones. My family is kinda concerned now since Halloween is in a few weeks and I have no interest at all in even having a costume when I've always been so obsessed with it. I'm concerned with myself. I still love some things I used to, I love marine biology and sharks, some shows (not anime) that I used to love... So it isn't all gone. I got into some new things to but those interests faded after a week. I'm so confused? Why is this happening? I don't even talk to some of my friends anymore since we have nothing to talk about. We always talked about the things I used to like which I now dislike/don't care for. |

The thing is we haven't seen each other in a year and our last conversation was an argument. It was pretty bad between us. Tbh I don't even think they remember I exist. We go way back to a few years ago. Should you still wish someone happy birthday even though you hate each other? My intentions are still not to be friends again, but still if you remember their birthday should you still say it? If anything it's only a text message saying happy birthday because I currently do not know their location. I can't say it in person is what I'm saying. |

I ve wanted to be their friends since day one, now on our second year as classmates we have gotten somewhat closer, meaning we talk during class or if we re waiting for a class, the second they invite me to go eat or go down with them during the break I come up with an excuse, It angers me so much because I m suspecting they re starting to think that i think im better than them, like i look down on them when that is the furthest from the truth. I just get super anxious when i imagine that i have nothing to say or talk about when im with them, it s so silly but it really controls me. We became friends little over a month ago and became fast friends. There was a time where her and her boyfriend broke up and I was kinda there for her. I bring her food at work on my off days and help her. I often talk to her a lot at work and really I'm the only few she talks to at work. Even when she got back with her boyfriend , she was calling babe and I kissed her a lot. She liked the attention and even got a little pissed sometimes if I didn't say hey to her. I also had visited her at restaurant, and made a smart remark one time saying am i not good enough to be your server which I'm sure she was kinda joking but still. That all changed last Monday. Everything still seemed good between us, but I said something petty like well I'm not gonna say much , because you don't talking to me, and I shouldn't have never said that but I did because I was in a bad mood. And she said we are still good friends but it's stupid petty ****. I apologized afterwards. Next night , I had to come to my work place afterwards to check on things for about 30 minutes and soon to find out she removed me on social accounts expect for Instagram and Twitter. She apprently had wrong impression on why I was there. I figured I would give her space, then yesterday I was at work , I texted her saying She was wrong about everything and we needed to talk. She blew me off and ignored it |

I'm pretty intelligent and creative. I have a post-secondary education and a semi-professional career. However, ALL my life my friends have been weird, oddball nerds and outcasts. I have NEVER had a friend who is what you call "normal". I married a woman who is normal, but all my friends have been very , very strange and socially awkward. I can't even imagine having a 'normal' friend now. |

She became pregnant about a month later by my friend, but he told his whole family that I was the father and broke up with her. It was impossible because I did it 10 months before the kid was born. The woman never tried to get me or my friend to take responsibility and she married a 3rd guy who my friend had taken her away from before. My friend married an African American woman about ten years later and had 3 kids. He and his sister would often tease me about my "son" that I knew was actually his. He developed paranoid schizophrenia and his wife left him some years later. Recently I found an obituary online showing that the girlfriend we both slept with had died. It said she was pre-deceased by her son. I googled HIM and his picture looks EXACTLY like a pure white version of my friend's mixed race son. Except for the fact that one is half black, and the white one was older, they are identical. Should I post the picture anonymously on my friend's ex-wife's Facebook page so his kids can know they had a half-brother who is now deceased? If I had an older unknown and deceased sibling, I would want to know about them. |

It can be big things or small things, such as being late etc; or more major problems. This is an ongoing pattern for me, all the friends I have had in the past 5 years have been like this. The closer I get to them, the more I am annoyed. I feel like the closer I get to them, the more sensitive I get so I am more easily hurt and offended. Also, I feel like the closer I get to them the more I try to show affection, wheras I feel like some people become less and more passive and rude. This is a pattern with all my friends, and I have found problems with them for all sorts of different reasons. Mostly its things that I would not do myself and things that they do that I feel like I would never do to them, so I can't empathize as to why they did it. I feel like there is something wrong with me, because I can't seem to manage a normal relationship without being fake. Right now I can barely stomach to be around my friends and I feel like I secretly hate them. I want to be a better person and accept other's flaws except I am truly hurt and offended by what they do and I don't know how to get over it. Please help. |

| Posted: 14 Oct 2018 10:43 PM PDT In my case it wasn't just financial reasons but practical - I was able to get a 3 bedroom apartment where the landlord didn't much care how I lived my life for about what I was paying for a 2 bedroom apartment with a nagging landlord (worse then Marge Simpson!) plus it was much closer to school and several other places I had to be on a regular basis in a timely manner. Was your situation like mine or different ? |

She hasn't been that way with me, but I don't like some things she does. One of her clients screwed her over on purpose. I can sympathize with that, but she's being catty about it. She made a Facebook post about perseverance and faith and said she gained 7 new clients when it was super slow and how she's on top of the world financially now and how God is good and all that. So I texted her to say I'm happy things worked out. Turns out it was fake and she just wanted her old client to see her fake success so she can spite her back making her old client think she's invincible to what she did to her. I don't like when people use faith and God to hurt people. Should I get rid of this friend? |

We were long time friends then tried some more. Naming her Kate for identity purposes. Well Kate suffered from mental trauma since she was sexual violated by a male in her family. I understand this was terrible and I told her that I'd be there for her with whatever she needed. I truly cared. But the thing is after a while of trying things out she said she couldn't for that reason and that she knew i was great, but she couldn't because she had anger towards men. Which kinda hurt a lot. I tried to talk about it which led to her being super defensive. After some time, things cooled but we didn't really speak but I still wanted to be her friend since we were once great friends. She basically stated that I'm trying to find problems in things that aren't there that people tend to grow apart and threw in examples of how her friends were basically kinda insinuating that I should be more like them. She said things were okay when they obviously were not and evidence said otherwise. It's been a few months since I last hung out with her and it didn't go well... since she did do some things like text people the entire time we were hanging out. And some other things. which I kept quiet about. At this point i dont really talk to her, but do get extremely sad when I see her on social media for some reason. Which brings me to question... should I just end all of this by deleting her? or do i keep trying thanx |

He ended it over a text cuz he was moving to Washington 2 weeks later for a job after college and he doesn't do long distance relationships. I was an absolute mess, but months and months later I met a really great guy and we have been dating for 9 months now. This last weekend on Friday, I bumped into my ex at a bar in downtown. Talk about coincidence? It was extremely awkward cuz I thought he was still in Washington. I haven't seen or talked to him since our breakup. We only stayed there for an hour since I was uncomfortable. Around 1:30 AM I get a text from him which was completely disrespectful. I did not reply and he texted again around 3 AM. My dad was out of town for the weekend so I would had to ask my stepmom. My stepmom isn't stupid and she is strict.I was talking to my friend on the phone my stepmom heard me say I'm not asking her that she will say no.then she heard me say I'm not going to lie to her because she isn't stupid. then she heard me say I am not sneaking out. Then my friend asked to speak to my stepmom so she could ask her so I gave the phone to my stepmom and she told my friend that I couldn't go to the party. Then my stepmom made me tell her the truth about the party and when she found out about alcohol being at the party she called my friend's parents and my friend got grounded for 2 months and didn't get to have her stupid party. my friend cussed me out and said it was all my fault. I'm a shy person and I didn't even want to go the stupid. I'm at the point where I don't even want to be her friend anymore she is always trying to talk me into doing stupid things. |

We're both in our early 20s and a few months ago I told her that I think I was crushing on her. She was okay with it and said she loves me but of course she doesn't like girls and I mean neither do I do a lot of confusion kicked in. I had always wanted to kiss her which doesn't seem normal but we had pecked a few times. Now, she says she likes me too but doesn't get it and she feels the same way I do. She doesn't like females but she likes me. We've been sexual towards one another such as kissing, making out, cuddling naked, fingering each other. We're both very loving people and very close so we don't find it weird because we're okay and comfortable with it. After living with her for about 2 months now, I'm starting to notice that she has really gross bathroom habits. For example, there are 3 towel racks in our bathroom (3 people share a bathroom, so each person gets a rack) and for a while, my roommate kept leaving her clothes (clean and dirty) on my rack. Then whenever she's on her period, she disposes of her bloody wipes and pads in the trash can, unwrapped. I've talked to her twice about not wrapping her bloody pads, and her excuse was that she forgot she was on her period and freaked out. However, I think that's complete BS, we're 20, so there's no reason why she should be freaking out over her period. |

| Posted: 14 Oct 2018 06:24 PM PDT It was a destiny 2 mission and we were playing online. I was over at a friends and we were excited to get the loot. I didn't know how to do it and he expected us to get it the first time. He also had one of his friends help us. We failed and I said jokingly that I blame his friend but I recoprocated and said we can get it the next time and he says "yeah maybe" and kicks me out. I asked if something was wrong and wished him a goodnight but he ghosted me. It's been a couple weeks and he made it known to a another friend that he's mad at me. Also, he's okay with my friends at the place I was at and still talks to them although they made a lot of noise with me also. I even muted myself so it wouldn't disturb him for some parts. But I can't understand this situation because I feel like our friendship was better than a video game and I don't know what to do |
