Question: How do I get over my extreme sensitivity to family? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 02:26 PM PDT I was estranged as a kid from my Mom's side and now we know them again. Whenever we miss something like Easter then I feel all the pain of rejection and loss from when I was a child and we were estranged. My Mom would always tell us it was personal and the family was rejecting "our family" rather then her noting it was only her they were mad at. Years later I carry the pain of rejection and loss whenever missing something or if an out of town relative is visiting and I don't see them. I used to try to connect too hard and got stalkish without realizing. I am much more careful now. How do I get over my extreme sensitivity to family and the awful feelings of loss and rejection that return too often (my psychologist says it is PTSD). This estrangement was over an alcoholic who has since died. |
Question: How do I get my brother not to steal from our Mom's estate? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:59 PM PDT We had a big fight about it in 2014 and have not spoken since. He has continued to steal. |
Question: How can I make my sister feel better ? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:28 PM PDT My sister is really hating this virus it's really upsetting her. Not only she can't see her boyfriend for a month but she's worried about getting it. Our dad kind of upset her when he told her there are people dying alone in the hospital she couldn't handle being there by herself because of the needles and IV'S she would be more likely to die from a heart attack than this virus because without mom and dad there to calm her down when the doctors poke her she'll probably go into a heart attack. She's been having nightmares about it. One of her favorite country singers just died from it he probably died alone in the hospital she doesn't want to end up like him. She wishes she was normal and didn't have asthma or a weak immune system so at least she could be around her boyfriend. She's now scared to go out with her provider or go to her exercise when this is all over she's even more scared of going back to work at her art class even though she's there only one day a week there's only 5 or 6 working in there she's even scared of being around her boyfriend even though he said he never gets sick. She just doesn't wanna die alone in the hospital. She just doesn't wanna be around anyone right now. How can I calm her down ? |
Question: Is it normal for parents to make their children do 4 hours housework? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:01 PM PDT Since the corona virus caused my school to shutdown, I've been stuck at home with my parents. My mother has told me and my sister that she expects us to be awake at 8am everyday including weekends. We're supposed to clean from 8am-12pm. In my house there are 9 people and the cleaning is left to me and my sister. Is it normal to be spending 4 hours on housework? That is my mother's reasoning, that this is normal. Our house is not big at all. Sometimes I actually have a hard time filling up the 4 hours because it doesn't take me that long to clean and I end up having to look for random things to do just so I can say I did 4 hours or else I get yelled at. Also, I woke up around late around 9am and my mom ended up taking my laptop, ipad, and phone which I paid for myself. I know it doesn't matter if I paid for it since I'm living under my parents roof but it does suck. Im an 18 yr old in high school if that matters. |
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 11:59 AM PDT This question is intended for honest, thoughtful answers and debate. This question is NOT encouraging the act, rather considering a potentially positive side of CONSENSUAL sibling intimacy. All content is hypothetical. If a brother and sister are to engage in willing sexual activity, that is practiced safely, respectfully, and with protection... is there really anything wrong with this? Siblings for the most part are close with each other and around the same age, usually only a few years apart. Especially as young adults, not only the desire to have sex, but the sexual immaturity of society can really put a lot of pressure on young people to engage in meaningless sex with multiple partners and form relations before they are really ready. I can't help but think that two siblings around the same age could be a great resources for each other to explore, discover and practice sex. In other words "work out the kinks" and discover what works for you with someone who you most likely already have a close relationship with. Utilize it as preparation before you branch out and start to seek a sexual partner. I cant stress the consent enough aspect enough. Abuse is real and not acceptable. But humans like and need sex. Even in between relationships, having a sibling available go at it with in times of need or boredom could be really convenient. Especially in a time like we are living now, indefinite quarantine... No religion based answers as justification. No "ew gross OMG" comments. |
Question: My family seems in crisis...? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 11:56 AM PDT We aren't adapting well to this situation... There's yelling every hour/two... Sometimes very loud... I'm in my 30s, parents 65 and 70... What can help? My ma keeps snapping at me every time I come home from work, what I can/cannot touch, etc... I can't keep up w her rules... She went into extremist... I don't wanna get sick, but she's taking things too far... IMO... But the problem is my family in general, taking frustration out on each other... What can we do to fix this... Thanks... I'll do all that when Corona goes away, but I'm curious what had worked for others to diffuse stress...? |

Question: Am I older than my "older" brother? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 11:15 AM PDT My brother was born in 1999, and I was born in 2005. Aren t I technically older than him because my birth year is a higher number than his? He won t listen to me when I tell him I m older than him. |
Question: Racist parents hate my boyfriend? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 11:12 AM PDT When my parents found out that I am in a relationship with a man who is black, all hell broke loose (I am from Eastern Europe). My dad has completely stopped talking to me and only makes disgusting racist comments when he sees me in the house. I have a lot of love for my mum and always thought she just wanted me to be happy but the way she has treated because of who I am with is shocking. Every day she tells me to leave the house and to go marry him but that I will get disowned. She makes disgusting racist comments too which I will not type here. They can't see that he treats me like a queen and makes me so happy. All they see is his skin colour and that makes me so incredibly upset. My sister who has dated guys who are black never defends me or helps me to rationalise our parents. She has always shut me out whenever I dated someone. My boyfriend doesn't know any of this, although I think he deep down knows something is wrong. I don't want to tell him any of this as he has suffered from a lot of racial discrimination in the past and I am scared that my family's racism will push him away. As much as I love my family and have always lived with them, the household has become very toxic for me to live in. In the end I will not be controlled by my parents. I will be with whomever I wanna be with. But it's hard, I wish I had a normal family where I can bring him around to my house. I don't know what to do, any help or personal experiences would be appreciated. |

Question: Should I stop our 17 year old neighbor from trying to be “friends” with my 6 year old? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 10:54 AM PDT The 17 year old has issues with her development. Mentally, she's more like a child than like a teen. I'm guessing it's either intellectual disability or autism??? She's extremely friendly towards my 6 year old daughter. Always asks to "play". A 17 year old is physically bigger and stronger than a 6 year old. She will accidentally injure my 6 year old on the playground, especially if she doesn't see herself as any older/bigger than my daughter. I think it's better for the girl's parents to work towards preparing her for adulthood instead (there are services for special needs families). And there's support groups for teens with similar issues. Honestly, I see no reason for her to play with 6 years olds unless they're related. |
Question: Why do people have children in this chaotic and cruel world? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 09:55 AM PDT I will never have children I didn't want to be born and I don't want other people to go through the same. |
Question: Should I tell my kids dad when they get in trouble? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 09:33 AM PDT I'm a stay at home mom of two, a 4 and a 5 year old. I've recently decided to become a stay at home mom and am having a tough time deciding if I should tell the kids' dad if/when they get in trouble through out the days. Any other stay at home moms have any advice? |
Question: I'm worried about my step father? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:42 AM PDT never once did he stop working since the coronavirus had spread, he's a bus driver and when my mom told him to take a break from work and stay home with us he declined. lately I've been worried since he's been coughing REAL HARD. I can sometimes hear him stop his coughing at night so my mom wouldn't hear him and get worried. (She's sleeping with me because in the meanwhile). It also seems to me likes he's been very tired and has a runny nose. I wish I was just imaging this all but I have a really bad feeling that he doesn't feel well. we live in a small house so there's really no space at home and all rooms are very close, my step father is sometimes messy and stubborn, he leaves his tissues at the tables and when he's coughing he doesn't cover his mouth, he gets mad at my mom when she tells him to take a sanitizer at work or wear gloves and mask, saying he's uncomfortable. and when I get mad at my mom for turning a blind eyes on him she makes me feel guilty as if Im wishing for him to get sick, she defends him and tells me to shut up. Im only being worried for the two of us since we've been staying quarantined for a month while he's away wanting to keep working sorry for the grammar mistakes |
Question: Do you think this seems a bit childish? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:33 AM PDT I got a response from my stepdaughter looking like it was sent to me showing her wearing a mask at her job. I complimented her and she answered me back. Then I got a message from her two sisters saying i was sending the text to them and to send it to her. I said that I was. Apparently some group text messed up and it sent my text to all of them. I tried to explain and they ignored me. They said she's not getting it. I said she did get it bc she answered me back. I felt as if I was being attacked or so it seemed. One sister said you sent this to me and you need to send it to her. Lol |
Question: My Dad is ignoring my amazing ancestry finds. How do I get him to care? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:01 AM PDT Like I just discovered my uncle's ex wife is my Dad's 11th cousin. My Dad ignored me when I told him. |
Question: Does this make me a bad son? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:13 AM PDT I am a guy in high school. My step mother is just a few years older than I am. Dad married a much younger woman. She is the greatest mother any guy can ask for. Dad must like young beautiful women. To say mom is beautiful is an under statement. She is gorgeous. Wow what a figure (36G would be my guess). Every morning when I leave for school, she give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and says "You are the greatest son ever". I am ashamed to admit it but sometimes when she does that, I have thoughts that a son should not have about his mother. Does this make me a bad son? |
Question: Is it normal to have a stepparent who doesn’t care about at all? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 05:21 AM PDT My stepdad doesn't care about me nor does he even make food for me. Once when he bought pizza he only bought it for mom and himself. I would just like to know if this is normal. I'm 14 and my mom is 31 and he is 34 |
Question: Is it embarrassing to have a mom who is pregnant? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 04:37 AM PDT Is it embarrassing to have a mom who is pregnant? My mom is 36 and pregnant. I would just like to know if it considered embarrassing. My friends say that she looks hella funny and now everyone knows that she had a huge load in her a few months ago. We are 15-16 if anyone is wondering |

Hes so spoiled n pampered its not even funny, hes a rich punk, does not do anything, has a MAID to do everything for him. Walks around acting like an arrogant little punk, thinking hes the man. jealous lol the dude said something to me 1st is why i said something back to him. I was doing my own thing, the guy just out of nowhere said something about me. spreading rumors. |
Question: Why are stepdads so often rude to their stepkids? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 03:36 AM PDT So, I accidentally walked in on them doing the nasty last night. I forgot to knock when I went into their room late at night. My stepdad told me to get the hell out and let him have sex with his wife even sometimes but he can't when I keep waking up at night. |
Question: What should i do/ my lesbian sister wont wear a bridesmaid dress for my wedding? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:45 AM PDT |
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 12:26 AM PDT Yet always badgered me for not making enough money and used to call me a loser. Now shes still indirectly bossy and there to rescue me when I hit rock bottom. Yet when I'm doing my own thing, it wasnt good enough. She apologized recently, and asked for another chance but she's kind of clingy on the phone and tell me what to do all over again. I feel like I need to go back to work because I'm broke. She thinks I should get unemployment instead. I'm miserable stuck at home 24/7. My fiance is not sympathetic and acts like its paradise for me. I'm very unhappy. I'm injured too. She promised to get me a meatball.sub or make me meatballs w spaghetti or bread. Instead she made rice and ******* beans. That's all I been eating! She wasted her paycheck on bs too. |
Posted: 01 Apr 2020 11:59 PM PDT I know it's not good to blame people, but even my mom admitted shes sorry she did not encourage me when I was younger and that I'm a creative personality type she never understood. I'm frustrated with how my life turned out. I gave up on my acting dreams because I'm easily discouraged. I like poor, like sh*t, I'm with a woman that's really not for me in the long run I'm seeing now or even is attractive to me. I have regrets. I wish I could reive my 20s and do things right |
Posted: 01 Apr 2020 11:50 PM PDT How to not feel guilty about that . It's just a coicidence . U can't change the past |
Question: Why doesn’t my mother treat me like I know what I’m talking about? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 09:54 PM PDT I'm an adult woman who feels as though my mother has never trusted anything I tell her. I'm a communication arts major with a concentration in journalism, and when she showed me an article she read and was concerned about, I told her not to worry as it wasn't from an authentic source. She just kept reiterating that she wasn't sure, etc. She then called my retired uncle, who didn't go to college (I love my uncle and know he is successful sans college, but to further explain my argument, it matters in this instance)and sent him the article. He replied later stating that he researched it and found out it wasn't from a valid source. She then declared as though hearing it for the first time that Uncle So-and-So told her it wasn't valid and she felt much better. This happens very, very frequently. I don't make a big issue of it with her, but it gets on my nerves. Is this something all parents do at some point? Maybe she doesn't even realize she does it. I feel like I could have a PhD, win a Nobel Peace Prize and she would still question my judgement and experience. |
Question: Should I pursue a relationship with my mother? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 07:35 PM PDT I am currently 20 years old, and the last time I saw my mom I was 6. I barley remember anything about her at all, but all of the memories that I do have are very fond to me. She walked out on my dad after having a mental breakdown, leaving him to raise me by himself. My dad remarried when I was 13, and his wife and I have never gotten along. I love my dad and I wouldn't trade the relationship I have with him for anything, but for as long as I can remember, I have thought about what meeting my mom again would be like. Three months ago, I found her on social media. I haven't messaged her yet, as my dad and stepmother are very against it and I am not sure that its a good idea. They both say that my mom is only going to hurt me worse, but I feel like until I do message her, I will always feel like a piece of me is missing. Do you guys think its a good idea? Please help, I really don't know what I should do. |

Question: Does EX need to pay a portion for groceries since he's staying with us? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:41 PM PDT So with this whole Coronavirus my ex ( we were together for almost 20 years) (we've been apart for a little over a year now) and I decided that it would be a good idea to have him sleep on the couch and stay and help me with our three daughters. Now that its a new month he doesn't want to pay extra for all the food that I have been providing. I mean I am providing a roof over his head, electricity, heat, AC, all his meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), High cost cable with HBO channel and STARZ package including wifi. He does help around the house and it has been very helpful to have a man in the house. But I am still the one running errands like picking up medicine for our daughter that has bronchitis right now. I'm not asking him to pay me a large portion of money simply a gesture of good faith that he appreciates all the money I have been forking over for groceries. My last Amazon food order was almost $200 and it still didn't cover some things that they were out of. I did not purchase a lot simply my regular weekly order. I usually spend around $300 a week for groceries. This also does not include all the house stuff that is necessary such as toilet paper, cleaning products, shampoo, toothpaste, body wash etc. So what do you guys think? Should he be sharing some of the cost of the food? Or should I grin and bear it? |
Question: I am ugly, I have mild mental problems. who will want to date me in these conditions? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:33 PM PDT |
Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:21 PM PDT It means your wife, her mother, has had an intimate Union with another man who has a demon that is enemy of your spirits (your ancestor spirits). This means that your wife has allowed the Head of your enemy to be over her head. It means she's betrayed you and is going to kill you in your spirit so get rid of her as fast as you can, because as soon as that union was formed your wife is now on the path to becomining a Demon herself. And if your son begins to suddenly start crying and seem withdrawn and then cry when the mom hold her, it means the same thing, she's a cheater and that Son feels the love of his Ancestors Spirits gone. Leave the bìtch. Go find proof if you want, but at least you now know. |
Question: Are hospital nurses trained to ignore patients with delirium? ? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:09 PM PDT My mother was put into the hospital, she was dying and we knew that.. she was elderly she had accidentally overdosed on her meds because she had forgotten that she took them, and this was daily for quite a while without my knowledge.. she was cognitively fine when she went in the hospital talking, remembering, answering questions but she wouldn't eat and didn't have the strength to walk or stand anymore. The night I put her in the hospital I hugged and kissed and told her I would see her in the morning.. that night she was crying and screaming, calling for me all night long, she was scared and confused, didn't know where she was, nobody helped her.. nobody told her were she was, the nurse told me that she drove them nuts all night but she never stopped to help calm her and they never called me. I also noticed another elderly man in a bed calling for his mother who wasn't there and nobody did anything, they walked right by.. My mother did pass unfortunately, this wasn't recently during the corona crisis if you're wondering if it was understaffing this was months ago before corona, it just hurts me so much that nobody even explained to her where she was.. why do they do this? I lost my mom very early in my life, she adopted me because she was too old to have a child, I just want to see change so that this doesn't happen again, I owe my life to her.. |
Posted: 01 Apr 2020 04:18 PM PDT I usually do things on the internet, I have a love and a sex life, so my love life really ******* matters to me. I even have sexually explicit images of my sister and we claimed to be STEP- related, but that's not how things would even begin. I started to have sexual relations with her then. My love and sex life is ruined over by what it says on a DNA test, which (under no other options that she is my half-sister). It's just apparently printed out, but I for one, has never read this ****. So my sister is a liar and it's my fault? Also, I've sent things that were nobody else's business and it's out there. How do I earn them my trust? I need a PROBLEM- solver, not a person who complains on yahoo answers all day. :) I also am on prescription Luvox, but how do I save every girl that I asked for images over the internet to NOT yell? Does it happen anyway? Should I just say **** love? I'm afraid if I say it over the web, afraid I might get more depressed. My sister is 22 and so am I, because at the same my mom and step-mom got pregnant. We've had sex when we were 14-15 years old. |
Question: How can I convince my parents to stay at home? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 04:16 PM PDT Both of my parents have work and haven't been given time off during this whole pandemic. I know that they have no control over that, but I really fear for their safety. I live in Illinois as well. Any tips? |
