Question: Isn't it a waste of time reapplying for a visa if it's rejected? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 05:39 PM PST My friend's cousin got accepted last year for the 10 year-old multiple entry visa. It was her 5th attempt when she finally got approved. Base on my friend, she's the type that keeps going for what she wants and won't take no for an answer. She will try again and again (nonstoppable until it's a yes). She applies the same concept on other things too. Seriously would you consider that a waste of time? She basically wasted $800 ($160 each time one applies for it) in total by the time she got her yes. She wanted a tourist visa to the FL and she got it. Still, that's $800 she'll never get back. Other tried convincing her to go to other countries but she didn't wanted. She was so focused on getting that visa approved. |
Question: When a woman acts differently around a man when one on one vs in a group. ? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 04:25 PM PST She's nice to him when it's the two of them one on one but when she's around other people she tries to avoid him Does she not like him deep down? |
Question: How do I decide who to be roommates with? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 04:03 PM PST So my options for possible roommates (college apartments, so if I share an apartment with a guy, I'll get my own room, but if I share an apartment with a girl, I'll have to share a room with her) are a lazy alcoholic and a very ditzy girl who sleeps with a knife. Possible guy roommate: he and I are already friends and we're currently roommates, however, he has a drinking problem and is lazy. He doesn't clean unless I go on strike (which means I don't clean anything, because I always clean), and he'll either eat all of my food and won't willingly replace (unless I ask him to), or he'll eat just about everything, and leave a little bit in the containers. Other than that, he's a good friend. I'm just getting really sick of being his "mom". Possible girl roommate: she and I met in our class, and she's very ditzy (she once asked me how do I know if her car is on or not, even though she drives it everyday). What made me skeptical about her is when she told me that she cut off her toenail with a knife (that she keeps under her bed) because her boyfriend didn't call her back. But other than that, she's "ok". I don't know what to do or who to chose as my roommate? |
Question: Why do people try to “snake” another person? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 01:58 PM PST By snake: I mean hurt, but pretend to be a friend/nice person What's the point? I'm literally at work minding my own business and the coworker I sit by keeps trying to be "nice" but I know she's starting rumors behind my back. What's the point? |
Question: What does this sentence mean? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 01:38 PM PST My friend told me "of course he likes you, with that face of an innocent girl of course he'll like you, he thinks you're a good girl eyou could trick anyone, snowhite". And she mocked me with the face. I thought she was my friend but now I understand she mocks me cause I am a bit of a dreamer and I always like guys who are older than us (like 4/7 years older), cute and more mature mentally, romantic and kind, not the teenagers we have to deal with |
Question: How do I handle this situation without hurting someone? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 11:03 AM PST I went to my class reunion and a classmate Judy was there. Judy was the person that tutored me in high school. Without her help I would have NEVER passed math and if I didn't pass math, I didn't graduate. I went on to a successful career after college. I told Judy I was VERY grateful for her tutoring help in high school and I wanted to show her how much I appreciated it. I invited her and her husband to join me for dinner at Ruth's Chris. She told me her husband would not let her go on a date with a guy. I though how could it be a date if he was with her. I thought her husband must be a nut job so I forgot about it. A few months later Judy called and asked it the dinner invitation was still good? I said sure. She told me she had divorced her control freak jerk of a husband and wanted to do something that was fun for her for a change. After dinner she told me that was the most fun she had had in years and asked if we could do it again. I am sorry she has been treated so badly by her ex husband but I am not interested in a serious relation with her. Should I tell her up front that I am not interested in a serious relationship but I would be happy to take her on a FEW just for fun dates? Gals, please give me your advice. I don't want to hurt her or make her feel bad in any way. She has had enough problems in her past life and I don't want to add to her problems. |
Question: How should I handle this situation with 2 friends? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 10:29 AM PST I have 2 close friends - we all live in different cities now, but in the same region/within a half-day driving distance. I am traveling to the more central location where "friend A" lives. Friend A and I are really close - he introduced me to friend B who he's been friends with for about 9 years (contrarily, I've been friends with both of these guys for 4 years - this also shouldn't matter, but I'm female for the sake of story). I am also close to friend B, but we get along more on an intellectual level than emotional. Friend A and I talk about deeper things. I know from talking to friend A that his had said some fairly harsh words during a break up a couple years ago. I don't know all the details, but I do know that friend B basically took the ex's side of the break-up and it really hurt friend A. Since that exchange between those 2, friend A has not seen the friendship with friend B quite the same (e.g. the friendship has changed, but they haven't had a falling out - they still talk). Whereas for the other, he's gone on like nothing ever happened. So while I don't know the details, since I am going to visit the central city, I want to invite friend B and his wife, but I want to be mindful of "getting the band back together" if there is still sensitivity there. If friend B and his wife come, it's going to feel obligatory for all of us to hang out. Should I invite friend B and his wife to come without asking for "permission"? Or should I run it by friend A first? |

Posted: 31 Jan 2020 11:15 PM PST When me and my older brother use to live together his friends would come over all the time but then when I tell him to spare some time with me he just says I dont have time but he hangs out with his friends all the time wtf if you dont have time for anything then why hangout with your friends. Im in this annoying family group whats app chat I left because it was so annoying and I get ignore anyways my brother actually got mad that I left I told him just text me in the real message then he all like I dont have time but you have time to message in the group chat & text your gf family all the time ? This one time was very stupid my other brother who dose nothing but play video games I told him to help out with something and he got all mad saying I dont have time for this when he is doing nothing at all. What im saying is you dont need to be a hot head all the time if you spare times with your friends why not spare time with your own family or friends their is always time to do something. |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 10:26 PM PST I have no interest in ever being a jerk to a female after what I just experienced liking one female and getting along with her sister, I feel mentally drained. The last woman I liked, led me on (long story over how she did). She ended up sucking up to get a third management position at my last job (3 management positions less than 12 months being at the job) and ended up giving herself 4 vacations. I got along with her older sister and then her older sister made up claims that I stalked her, harassed her and was in love with her. I ended up losing my job 3 months ago. I had a meeting with HR and my union reps to get my job back. It was really me who defended me. 20 employees signed a petition to bring me back. Earlier this month, my head manager and 2 of my supervisors, made up a story that I cursed out some ladies at work. HR took my head manager and supervisors side and I ended up getting fired for a final time at this job where I was working at for 2 years. Luckily, I got a job offer last week (I am just waiting to find out when my orientation will be). Those sisters were relieved and happy both times I ended up getting fired. |
Question: How to get over a best friend breakup? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 10:19 PM PST My friend and I have been best friends since we were 8 years old (19 now). Recently I found out that she has been talking bad about me behind my back to her new friends. It hurt me a lot and I decided it was best for us to not be friends anymore. When I confronted her she said that she did not care that I found out what she said about me. Obviously this hurt me being that we've been friends for over 10 years. How do I cope with this. |

Question: Does my friend not want me around anymore or am I looking too much into this? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 08:49 PM PST She got a boyfriend nearly a year ago and a few months into her relationship things have changed, like he told her to not hang out with me anymore it feels like. Texts go unanswered for a day or later instead of minutes to hours later, says she s busy when asking to go for hike or coffee but hangs with other friends, only accepts phone calls now and we still talk for 30-45 minutes every month, doesn't reach out and leaves me all the work. We were so close in the past, guess the boyfriend told her to not hang out with me and distance herself? BTW last time we hung out was early summer, so a few months into their relationship. We were close before. I've tried but always "busy", she would sometimes agree to do something but once we are about to make it final I don't hear from her for a while, then it's back to like that never happened. |
Question: What do I say to my friend about this? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 08:40 PM PST I'm 26, and my friend is 24. We use to hangout all the time. We talk on playstation most nights. I get these depressive episodes were I completely withdraw from friends, and family. I havnt talked to him on playstation for 4 days, let alone spend time with him in person. He texted asking me what I'm gonna be doing this weekend. I lied, and said I'm helping my dad around his house, because I knew hed ask if I wanted to hangout. I know, that makes me a bad person. He texts back saying "I miss the days when we use to hangout. Oh well" what am I suppose to say to that back to that? |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 06:31 PM PST A friend of mine doesn't get any type of support from anyone financially. Her mother always makes her feel ashamed because no matter how hard she works and emotionally exhausted herself she constantly feels like she's not enough. She makes her seem like a bad daughter and goes around telling people that she's not capable of handling herself. She came over the other day crying not just because of her mother, but because I'm order to support herself financially in the meantime she was working at hooters. She told me she felt ashamed because she was worried about what other people would say about her. Reality of the situation is that she was ashamed. Because she's been trying to get the job she wanted for months. But because she's getting no support this is the only way she can pay her rent and bills. I told her that I can relate to her because of my situations as well. I feel for her on so many personal levels. |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 06:11 PM PST This woman has more than once created a fake social media account and a fake email account pretending to be another woman so that she could communicate with the guy she knows I've been with for nearly two years. In her emails, she admitted that she had done sinister things to me in the past that I was not aware of at the time as she roofied my drinks whenever she felt like it, even my glass of water. She's bisexual and she's in a relationship with a guy she lives with and yet she keeps on doing this. When is this going to stop? Is there even an end to madness like this? Has anyone else ever dealt with such an incredibly psychotic woman? She's really good at pretending to be someone she's not, and with her you just never know when it's going to happen again. I don't understand what is so thrilling about being feigned to someone else just to get the details they need to use to hurt someone that's no longer even their friend? My relationship with this guy is already complicated and this just adds even more complexities that really does take an emotional toll on me. |
Question: Is this a good way to introduce myself to my friends family? ? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 06:07 PM PST My friend is inviting me over this weekend to stay the night and i will be meeting his family for the first time. I thought maybe i could leave a good first impression by rolling up in there driveway and then doing donuts and screaming F$&k you and flipping them off. And then pulling out a paintball gun and shooting them all with it and using it to splatter paint all over their house. Would they like me afterwards if I did that? As long as I dont accidentally hurt anybody with the paintball gun I should be fine right? I just need to make sure they know that if im over there, im the man of the house and i run the place because im the guest |
