Question: Family issues, please help? Posted: 01 May 2016 01:03 PM PDT My mom started chatting online with some guys, and she had a fake profile. The guys are some criminals, and she also lost some money on some scams or something. My dad told her to stop, and the next day she did it again. It then became complicated and tense. My father broke her laptop, and hit her, and I told them both to stop and forget it. Next day, similar stuff happens again. My dad is teasing her with the guys name, and found out she lost money. He also arranged a live meeting with the guy. My mom is now talking about moving, divorce and even suicide. Please help me in this situation, I want them both good and I want them to stay together. I told my dad to stop, and he did it again. |
Question: Paying rent to step mom? Posted: 01 May 2016 12:33 PM PDT Hello I'm 19 years old and I currently live with my step mom. My dad recently moved out as they got a divorce and I'm still in high school but about to graduate so I stayed with my step mom for that sole reason (my dad moved 30 mins away). I agreed to pay 400 dollars a month to stay there and I watch my half brother and sister once or twice a week. I don't pay for food or laundry detergent or anything of that sort. I only pay for the things I personally need. I also don't do have any chores except taking out the trash. Does the 400 dollars a month plus watching the kids once or twice a week seem like a good deal? |
Question: How do i find my dad? Posted: 01 May 2016 12:29 PM PDT i know his name, i have pictures of him, i know the country he moved to, i dont have his number, family members seem to not know anything about him, though it is possible that they know something but dont want to tell. what everything can i do? |
Question: My father shamed me in front of the whole family for looking at adult videos? Posted: 01 May 2016 12:15 PM PDT So, recently my father discovered I had been on a adult site and decided to publicly shame me in front of the entire family. He invited my sisters over and then pulled up the site for everyone to see and then announced he'd caught me looking at porn. He then announced all my punishments in front of everyone gleefully. I was obviously completely humiliated. Today, I wanted to check my email and he had forgotten to erase his search history. He had been looking at things a LOT worse than i had! I feel like he is nothing more than a hypocrite because he is always claiming to be so morally superior than everyone else. Should i call him out on this or just pretend i didn't see it? |
Question: Is it normal if my mom never compliments me? Posted: 01 May 2016 12:14 PM PDT She tells my younger sister all the time how pretty she looks and she does it right in front of me too. I have 2 older sisters and Everytime my mom sees them she compliments them and tells them how cute they look. But I have never ever got a compliment from her I'm not even ugly or anything... Everyone tells me I look like a model and stuff and icant even get a compliment from my own parents... I may sound dramatic but it makes me feel like I'm the least favorite kid from her she's also made fun of me before because I'm a tall girl and she makes me feel so insecure and Everytime I have a pimple she goes crazy and points it out.. Ugh |
Question: I think my dad is too controlling? Posted: 01 May 2016 12:09 PM PDT My dad has been getting more and more agressive the last few years, and it's starting to worry me. Everything he says is the LAW, and me and my siblings have no right to ask questions or object in any way. When decisions he comes to creates inconvenience for me, and I calmly offer a compromise, he gets furious, shouting at me for "always arguing" and "why can't I just nod my head and obey silently just like a girl should". On last year's national day I wanted to spend some time with my friends to watch the anual parade, and my dad flipped out completey. He specifically stated that this parade was to be watched WITH HIM AND THE FAMILY, even though my mom already said we were welcome to go to her house and watch the show from there (my dad freaked out when he heard this too). He was so mad that he shouted so loud people outside the car actually followed us with their eyes, and then he cursed at me that he threw me out of the car in the middle of the road. There are plenty of other examples, but I think you get the picture. Why is he acting like this? I'm lucky that I only have to stay with him every other weekend due to his work and my praent's divorcement, but I just can't take it anymore anyway. |
Question: Should my daughter be teasing her brother? Posted: 01 May 2016 11:37 AM PDT I have a teenage son John and a teenage daughter Lisa. They are good kids and get along good well with each other. They just like to have fun especially with each other. One night at the dinner table Lisa ask me if she could get some balloons like John had. John said "What are you talking about? I don't have any balloons." Lisa said "I saw them in your desk drawer". "They are Trojan brand balloons". OH MY GOD, am I going to have to have the "talk" with Lisa again. But what she said next told me the "talk" was not necessary. She said "John, do you have to special order the balloons to get the size extra extra small". Should me daughter be teasing her brother like that? John thought what she ask him was REALLY funny. He said, you misread them. They are extra extra large. |
Question: My parents don't support my diet and want me to stay fat? Posted: 01 May 2016 11:36 AM PDT My parents are making it seem like me being on a diet is an inconvenience to them. When I told my mom that I needed fruits and vegetables and a blender she said "Ugh! Can't you just have what everyone else has? I don't want to make two dinners!" She's basically saying I eat what she makes or buys. She buys McDonald's and Church's and I have high blood pressure. She says I look fine, but I have a beer belly and small man boobs. It's embarrassing to go out. She also forces me to eat. If I don't she'll yell at me all day and week. I feel so trapped, what do I do? |
Question: I hate being in fostercare!? Posted: 01 May 2016 11:35 AM PDT Im in fostercare because my Mum isnt welll, my Dad couldnt mind me. Things are different now 4 years later. Im not 13 and my Dad can provide for me and he loves and wants me. Im not allowed to go to him for unknown reasons. Question: Will my husband get over this? Posted: 01 May 2016 11:31 AM PDT I got laid off from my job and we could no longer make the mortgage payments. The lender was going to foreclose. Then I got a letter telling me my mortgage had been paid off. I thought it was a mistake so I went to the lender, and ask them about it. They told me my ex husband who was still on the mortgage had came in and paid off the mortgage. We had a friendly divorce but I NEVER expected this. I got the house in the divorce but I had to keep up the mortgage payments. I called my ex husband and ask him why he paid off the mortgage. He told me that since he was still on the mortgage, his credit was being harmed by my not making the mortgage payments. I promised him I would pay him back the money he used to payoff the mortgage. He told me I did NOT OWE him anything. There are not words to express how great it feels to not EVER have to worry about having a home to come home to. However, I had an unexpected problem. My current husband is very upset about the way things turned out. I told him it did not have ANYTHING to do with him. He should be happy that WE now have a free and clear home. I told him if it bothers him so much, he can pay back my ex husband the money he used to pay off the mortgage. He has not mentioned anything about this since. Do you think he will get over this and let us both get on with our lives with NO MORTGAGE PAYMENTS EVER. |
Posted: 01 May 2016 11:22 AM PDT Like at holidays we don't travel to town to visit everyone so I miss out or when I did go to town my grandmother and aunt saw me but there wasn't the excitement among the others (my mother's three brothers and their kids) as there was when I went to see my Dad's side of the family. My mother only talks to her mother and on occasion her sister. Some of my cousins also declined friends requests on Facebook but have other cousins on there. So is this normal after a fight between a parent and their siblings? I feel really sad because I really like my mother's family and I feel part of the conflict is definitely my mother's doing so she is not innocent in it. So is this normal and how can I get closer to everyone? I visit their town two or three times a year when seeing my grandmother. Usually only she and my aunt see me and sometimes my aunt's two kids who are much older then me. We miss all holidays because of my mother (we visit my Dad's family on the other side of the country). |
Question: What to do when you get into an argument with someone you're dating? Posted: 01 May 2016 11:11 AM PDT I got into an argument with a guy I have been talking to/seeing and I was wrong and it was my fault. I feel so bad and embarrassed. He says he forgives me but it is awkward for me now...how do I stop things from being awkward and move on? |
Question: Wrestling older sister to find out who's stronger? Cheated by tickling? Posted: 01 May 2016 11:06 AM PDT I am 13 yearly boy. and today I was visiting my cousins(all girls) in our living room with my cousins most of whom are older and my 16 older sister Veronica was teasing me that she was stronger, so I challenged her to a wrestling match my sister has always been a stronger but I got her on floor but before long she whispered into her cousins ear. When I wasn't looking she pined me down and starting tickling me I started laughing so hard ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha my said OMG I had no idea you were so ticklish looks like I will win little brother, I said hahaha no not fare that's cheating ahahahahahaha she siad you said anything but tickling little bro, just then she said ok I win am board of this game, Yes pay up? I said no it's fair she said I had you on floor the whole time let's ask Brooke yup Veronica is clear winner. So I had to give my sister $10 dollars, and say in front of everyone that she was stronger me. :( I think she cheated by tickling me? What do you think? Even if I didn't say tickling were in the rule books? It's not fair now she's teasing me for being a poor loser, and little baby who cries too much. |
Question: I'm tired of my mom yelling at me? Posted: 01 May 2016 10:58 AM PDT I am 18 years old. My mom treats me like a child. She is always yelling at me. Even my dad and brother notice, and tell her to stop yelling at me. She yells for anything. She can make a little issue turn into a huge mess. I just want her to stop yelling at me and let me be the young adult I am. But, every time I tell her to stop yelling at me, she dosnt listen.. |

Question: What do i do now and where do I start? Posted: 01 May 2016 10:25 AM PDT I'm in such a bad place at the moment, I honestly hate my life and i want to turn it around but i don't even know where I'm supposed to start or what I'm supposed to do. I live at home with my family (8 people total) and I just cant escape. Its always noisy i argue with my siblings really bad and i don't just mean the usual, I argue with my little sister in particular we fight, we call each other, she hides and uses all my things and we share the same room, the smallest room in the house. School is really hard, I have a small group of friends who mean a lot to me but everyone else are bitches who just talk behind each other's backs. I hate the way i look and I am constantly being hard on myself I know I shouldn't and its not good for me but I cant help it I know I have a much better life than other people in the world but its not up to my standards. I just want to be happy and cut all the negativity out, but I don't know where to start or how to do it |
Question: Did I do something wrong with my wife's mother? Posted: 01 May 2016 10:06 AM PDT My wife's mother bought a new computer so she could email her friends, get on FACEBOOK, and sell and buy stuff on EBAY. Her mother did not know how to use a computer so she asked me to train her to use a computer and I did. She spent a lot of time on her computer and really enjoyed it. This has caused a unexpected problem. My wife tells me every time she goes to her mom's house, her mom is watching porn on her computer. My wife does not want me to go to her moms house unless she is with me. She is afraid of what her mother might do. I will do as my wife ask so there will not be a problem. My wife told me that since I caused this problem by training her mother to use the computer, I should convince her mother to stop watching porn on the computer. I don't know how do to that. Anyone have any ideas? I am not sure I should be telling an adult what they can watch on their computer anyway. Should I? |
Question: Why is my husband acting like this? Posted: 01 May 2016 10:04 AM PDT I was on the layoff list where I work. I had a stroke of good luck and found another job at the company will a larger salary that I took immediately. Then I found out I had an unexpected problem. At my new job I am the boss of several guys. They are all great guys and they accepted me as their boss without any hesitation or problems working for a woman. My problem is my husband. He wants me to quit my job because he said "I don't want you to working closely with all these guys who want to get into your pants." I told him they can want all they want but it is not going to happen. I pointed out to my husband that we need my income to make our mortgage payments and I would be happy to quit work if he got a job that would cover all our expenses. Are all husbands this way? I have never given my husband any reason not to trust me. Why does he think every guy wants to get into my pants? |
Posted: 01 May 2016 09:55 AM PDT I am a 25 year old single guy with a 15 year old niece Jill, my sister's daughter. Jill often comes to my house for help with her homework. If we finish her homework late she spends the night a my house and I take her to school the next morning. She told me she was a nervous wreck from her mom and dad fighting all the time and they were getting a divorce. She wanted to stay with me until the divorce was final. I told her that was OK with me but she needed her parents OK which I thought would never happen. However her parents thought it was best for her not to see them fighting all the time and agreed she could stay with me until there divorce was final. I was very surprised by their decision but I think they were thinking of what their fighting was doing to Jill. Jill moved in with me and has been living with me for 3 months. She is a very nice person and is no longer depressed. We have had a lot of fun time together going to school events and sporting events. Jill ask me if I would adopt her so she could stay with me permanently. I told her that I doubt if her parents would let that happen. I don't know if you can adopt someone that has living parents. Does anyone know if that can be done? Is there a better solution than adopting her? Could she just live with me if her parents are OK with it? |

Question: Why is my mom so confusing? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:50 AM PDT she would call me mam but would complain about when other people calls her that I said she does that to me to she said that she doesn't she says no about me and my brother blasting music in his car but she blastes her music in the living room she would ignore me when its so quiet no noise at all but she says she tries not to |

Posted: 01 May 2016 09:47 AM PDT She says he does not love me but at Al Anon they told us drinking has no effect on how much they love us. My mother won't change her views. She says we can't see him because she is protecting us but I feel she is just using us to get him back. I am 14 What do I do? I really want to see him and my grandparents on both sides of the family have offered to supervise the visit. |
Question: My dad is so annoying? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:47 AM PDT I'm 16, my parents have been divorced since I was 2, so I have to go to my dad's house twice every week. I hate it, because he's unemployed and literally does nothing but go on Facebook all day. Everything he does irritates me, and whenever we watch something together he always has to tell me things I don't care about, like his trip to the grocery store. Your immediate reaction is probably why I'm not upfront with him, and the reason why is because he always gets pissed and offended whenever I am honest in the most polite way possible. I hate going to his house and he treats me like a little kid and acts like the world has ended whenever I decide not to go. I was bullied by classmates when I was in middle school, and one time he forced me to tell him about it despite how many times I told him I wouldn't want to talk about it. When I finally told him, he acted like the devil's advocate and emphasized how life was sooo hard when he was in middle school because he was the only white kid in town. |
Question: I hate my father with a passion. Any advice on how to deal with it? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:46 AM PDT I feel such a hatred towards my dad ever since I was a little girl but recently it's become more intense, he is an absolutely horrible person, none of his siblings have anything to do with him many people from my mother's side told us that they can't stand him either. I love my mom but I hate that she stayed with him exposing us to his violence. Growing up and still to this day he spends more time watching tv than interacting with his family, we could never disturb him for help growing up. He gets emotionally involved with the tv shows and even curses abuse at characters he dislikes, it's not normal behaviour. He uses to beat up my mom more times than we could count, he would leave her black and blue but when I would try to stop him he would turn to hit me, i would havd been less than 13yrs old, twisting my legs that my back cracked or pushing me into the radiator bruising most of my back. My mom likes to forget all this now tho. Now that I am older I have no fear of him and when he tries to intimate me I stand up to him and laugh in his face but I get so angry that I just want to punch him. He is bad tempered apparently always has been, He doesn't drink or go anywhere all he does is sit in front of the tv or put a bad atmosphere in the house. I have no time for him at all, how can I cope with him until I finally move out? Thanks guys. |
Question: I wish I had a sister? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:43 AM PDT So recently my mom got engaged to her boyfriend and he has two daughters who stay with him on weekends. They are three years apart in age and they get along really well. The older one doesn t really talk to me unless she stars the conversation. And the younger one is somewhat mean to me. (I am the same age as the older one). They talk a lot and hang out and are always like joking with each other. I have caught them talking behind my back as well. I do like them but I don t know if they feel the same. Seeing them makes me want a sister. I understand they will be my stepsisters but they don t seem to be making an effort to like me. Will this change when our parents get married? |
Question: How can I move out at 19? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:32 AM PDT My parents and I do not get along. To be fair, I have made some mistakes as a young adult (but everyone does) and I have owned up, apologized, and learned from them. I feel scrutinized every day, and scared of their presence because I feel judged EVERY day. And I should not have to be reminded of all the **** I've done at their expense. They treat me like a 15year old, yet I am in college. I want to move out but have no idea what to do. Any suggestions? |
Question: I just want feedback? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:27 AM PDT Last night I was kicked out of my girlfriends home for giving my 15 yr. Old daughter money, 30$. She was called every name under the sun. My girlfriend asked me to pay rent I agreed. Later that night my girlfriend took my debit card to some club spent 25 dollars without asking me.then she ordered out 35$ fast food (her own money). Then My daughter called me and asked me if I could pay for her nails to get done. I agreed ,that's when all hell broke loose. She threw all my belongings in the street and vowed never to see me again because I didn't pay her rent. Wtf did I do wrong here??? I'm short a few dollars but ill still make it b4 the deadline.. She says your slut daughter only calls yu when the whore needs something!!! Go sleep with your daughter, we're done. Throughout all the chaos I left the rent money inside... |
Posted: 01 May 2016 09:26 AM PDT I get tired of it and though she no longer does the daily degrading that she did when I was younger she still makes passive aggressive comments about my father, step-mother, and that whole side of the family. Even when my step-mother's nephew committed suicide my mother made a jab about the family (though not the teen who died). So do I have the right to be mad at my mother or since it is my mother am I the one who is wrong to be angry at her? |
Question: My brothers girlfriend is making me move out..? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:21 AM PDT I just turned 18 and my parents rule is once you turn 18, you're out. My brother is 23 and has a nice house with 3 bedrooms. So he told me I could move in for 6 months to figure everything out. I'm in college but can't live in a dorm (I have a dog and I refuse to get rid of him). So 6 months was perfect because I'd be able to save up and find a place. So I've been at my brothers for 1, almost 2 months and his girlfriend has been complaining since day one about it. So now my brother told me that I need to go, and has given me 2 weeks to find a place. He said he would help me out with the down payment of a place and stuff.. But I don't have enough money saved to comfortably live on my own yet.. The real kicker here is that his gf doesn't even live there! So I don't know why she is so annoyed by this, whenever she's around I literally just stay in my room or go out. Im going to have a talk with my brother, to try and get at least maybe a month to figure stuff out.. Any advice on what I can say to try and persuade him to let me stay? If I offer to pay rent, how much should I pay? Keep in mind I'm a full time student and work 39 hours a week at the mall.. So I'm not loaded with money, and I still have to try and save money.. |
Posted: 01 May 2016 09:20 AM PDT In this case it is her anger at my father, her ex-husband, she loves more then me even though she has love for me. So is my observation right that her hatred for her ex-husband, my father, she loves the most and me and my sibs seconds? She makes attacks against him even though it has been pointed out that it harms me. |
Question: How should I convince my mom to let me move back to California? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:12 AM PDT 1 month before my sophomore year in high school ended my mom told me I would be moving to Virginia to live with her bf. I was pissed because I've moved around a lot and California was the 1st place I felt home. We had talked about letting me move back alone before, so its not a completely new idea. So, now, I live in VA, I have a total of 3 friends, and I would give anything to go back to CA. I'm making a presentation to convince her to let me go back alone, but I need more legitimate reasons. Here's what I've thought of: 1. My longtime BFF's family offered to let me stay with them. 2. I'm responsible enough to keep my grades up while I'm over there because I've had good grades here. 3. I don't want to go to college in VA, and CA has more options that I could get in-state tuition at. 4. I won't be completely alone, I have family over there who can check on me, my aunt only lives 5 minutes away from where I'd be staying. 5. I won't be graduating on time in VA because some of my credits didn't transfer over, but I will be graduating on time if I move back to CA. 6. I will get a job once I move there so I can pay for stuff. 7. It will be a great learning experience for me. Instead of being thrown into independent life like most kids after high school, I'll have a semi-independent year to transition better into adulthood. 8. She's marrying her bf, so she'll get to enjoy the perks of being a newlywed without me there! Please help me, I need ideas she won't expect me to say! |
Question: I plan on leaving my family.? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:11 AM PDT Ok so I recently turned 18. I'm done with my family if I can even call them that. They are trying to control and are holding me back. They don't respect me either or accept me for who I am. They don't accept my career plans. I would have already left but the thing is I don't have a social security number. I'm finishing up my last couple weeks if high school and then I plan on leaving. I wasn't born in America. I was born in Nigeria. I moved to the U.S when I was 4. So I'm asking what do I need to get a social security number. I plan on getting one by myself. I have a copy of my birth certificate, my school I'd, my driving learners permit, a copy of my transcript. I'm pretty sure they won't give me my passport or my visa. So I was wondering what can I do to get one. Please don't tell me to stay with my parents because my mind is made up to leave. Especially with the abuse I received during my childhood (smacking me just because I didn't wash the dishes right, telling me I can't talk to my sister, etc...) At this point I'm done with them and I hate them but please help me out. |
Question: Do you think this guy is weird for this? Posted: 01 May 2016 09:09 AM PDT I have had suspicions about a guy lately.... He's a big white guy, probably over 6 ft 4. He comes to my printing shop and has papers copied all the time. Comes in 2 or 3 times a week. Atleast 1 time every week he comes in with a little mexican girl. I thought it might be his child at first, but one day i asked him how old was the child? He said she was 6 1/2. I asked him was it his? He said no, he just watches her sometimes. I thought it was weird. She called him *daddy* at least 3 times while we were in the store. He said she just says that because they are close. I found out the girls parents own a mexican restaurant down the street. I saw her in there with one of her brothers a few days ago when I went to eat. I asked the parents about that guy. They said he was a family friend and they knew him a long time. I can understand that but doesn't anyone else find it weird they are letting a girl almost 7 years old go out with him alone? I would worry my a** off about her if I was her real dad. |

Question: How do I deal with Mother's Day next weekend as I am having to see my mother who harms me? Posted: 01 May 2016 08:40 AM PDT My mother has passive aggressive attacks because of her divorce from my father over 20 years ago. She still hasn't gotten over it and yet she is the one who divorced him. As a result I get very nervous seeing her. I do love her and my Dad and step-mother will be out of town. Last year I spent the day with my step-mother to stick it to my mother but later I felt I was being immature and doing just the kind of thing my mother does. So this year I want to be the better person and go see her. How do I handle it? How do I avoid getting hurt with the attacks against family my mother will do in hidden jabs? She otherwise loved me so was not all bad as a mother. |

Question: I'm homesick..what about you? Posted: 01 May 2016 08:04 AM PDT This question is for those who have experienced moving to Florida (or anywhere) from their home state, and becoming home sick. I'm from Chicago. I moved to Florida when I was 14. I'm 20 years old now, and through out the years I've been here, I've had times where I was so home sick...like I am now. Speaking to Grandma and my Mother, they told me that this is normal...almost everyone in Florida is from another state, and after awhile, most start to get homesick. They describe it as a "transit" state, and as one big vacation with crazier people. Anyway, I'm missing Chicago, I'm missing the big city and window shopping, the winter and wearing my high fashion coats lol, I miss my cousin who is like my big sister (even though I have love for my cousins here in florida too), and I just want change...I'm not a girl, not yet a woman. I'm even highly considering pursuing Modeling and Fashion again while I go to college before entering medical school, but my area in central Florida has no opportunity for Fashion and modeling like the major cities do. I do have my Father here, my brother, my cousin who is like my sister, and even a guy that I have developed feelings for (even though we're not dating), but in Chicago, I have my moms side of the family, and my mom will soon be joining out there. I guess I need some advice from someone who has been in this similar situation in Florida, and then getting home sick. Did you move? Was it for the better? How homesick did you get? @backahead Thank you so much for answering. However, I don't believe that there is anything in life that is completely out of our control, especially choosing where we want to live. |
Question: 7 YEAR OLD SISTER TROUBLES!! IS THIS UNFAIR!!? Posted: 01 May 2016 08:00 AM PDT Hi, I'm 13 and my youngest sister is 7. Im the oldest of 4 and my 7 year old sister is generally an annoying brat! She acts like she is 2 because she is the baby in the house! This annoys me because my parents treat her like a baby as well! She gets her way and will scream, hit, punch, kick and bite if not! When I was her age I was showering on my own, cooking, cleaning my own room in under 20 mins with no help, doing chores, reading books aimed for 11-13 year old's and I knew my place in the family. She as a 7 year old, showers with mum, I do all the work while she is "helping" cook and she gets the cake mix, she reads books for 2 year old's even though she is perfectly capable of reading proper books, she acts like she is a perfect princess, she treats me and my siblings like rubbish and threatens us if we dont follow her way and lastly between her and my 11yr old sister they take a week and my parents help to get their room clean! Yes she gets told off sometimes but not to the extent I did even though I was better behaved then she is now! I think my sister was raised badly to how I was! I was always told to behave and focus on school! I was getting A's at 7, she isn't even getting C's! She has to read books with 3 words in them because she pretends she cant read even though I know she can! I think she is spoiled and is an annoying brat! What can I do? I feel my parents don't get that she can't be like this! My other siblings are also annoying but not to her extent! |
Posted: 01 May 2016 07:10 AM PDT There is a rude girl in my school who USED to be my best friend. Her name's Nadia, she's Hispanic- her family is from Mexico and I am French, my family is from Kaysersberg. We came to the US about 4 years ago. Well i told Nadia she was mean for making fun of a boy at our table and she started insulting me about my teeth, called me poor and then she said "you know you should go back to france and see if you guys can actually make enough money to buy you braces". But my parents do have enough money they just don't think there is anything wrong with my teeth. My mom's salary is around 52K a year and my dad's salary is around 65K a year so together our entire family is living off of 117K a year and it's just three kids and two parents. Nadia said that my parents aren't good enough to make more and it's impossible for immigrants to make more than a normal family. Is this considered a bad salary? I think that we are living a better life here than in France. |
Posted: 01 May 2016 07:06 AM PDT I live with my mom and STEP brother (not real brother). I'm an introvert and I need time alone so badly, and I never get it. I will say that right now I am NOT able to move out. It's a long story but just trust me. I can't. I have a stepbrother who is taking years off my life. He lives at home and is doing things that are sucking my life out of me. This has gotten under my skin and I cannot function anymore. I am exhausted and miserable 24-7 and if something doesn't give, I'm just going to lose it. I've respectfully told my mom about my feelings but my stepbrother is out of control, and always gets his way. I have been through so much and just can't take anymore. I'm single, no husband to be my lifeline, my dad is divorced and no one can control this stepbrother. I'm going to wind up in an early grave. Please help me. I don't have any biological siblings. He's my stepbrother. |
Question: I can't share a room anymore.? Posted: 01 May 2016 07:05 AM PDT I am 16 and I share a room and a bed with my 10 year old sister. I would like my own room but my parents don't want to get the 4 bedroom because they think I need to learn how to share with my sister. She sleeps wild and is all over me. Its annoying and she always wants to do something with me or talk late at night when I don't feel like it and it upsets her. She even complains about sharing a room. Please don't talk about how much she loves me. I know that. But what can I do because I really can't do this anymore. She keeps doing things I HATE and leaves the room SO messy. I have work out plans for her cleaning it and even talked to my parents about it. She agrees everytime and NEVER EVER follows through EVER. |
Question: My mother is constantly yelling at me and putting me down? Posted: 01 May 2016 06:59 AM PDT Hello everyone, I'm a 15 year old boy. When I was around 9 or 10, my mother found out that she had a condition called Cerebellum D Generation, which effects the way she is able to walk. Ever since then, she has been incredibly irritated and emotionally insane. She seems like she always finds a way to yell at me, but her backup statement is I never listen. The thing is, I can't listen because all she ever does is just scream on the top of her lungs at me. Most of the time she's really aggressive verbally and sometimes physically in rare situations. My mother seems like one of those people that you could just never please because her expectations are so high. As far as school goes, I'm an honor student. I try my hardest in school because I know this will lead me to a great career in the future. Sometimes, it seems like her yelling and screaming at me gets me all upset about myself and causes me to do not as well in school. I'm only 15 years old and she is a full grown adult, slightly passed her middle ages. Sometimes she screams so loud my head starts to throb and I get a headache because it's like she's almost throwing a tantrum. She stated that, "I wish I would just fall down the stairs one day because no one here would care, everyone just watches me do all the work around the house while you lazy f*ckers don't so s***. A few years ago, my father ended up cheating on my mother which caused distress due to being drunk. She tells us that she wishes she was dead. |
Question: How can we redeem our house? Posted: 01 May 2016 06:50 AM PDT My father and my uncle inherited a house from my late grandmother. Since her death he won t let us in the house. Last Easter we hired a man to unlock the door and we found out that my uncle has removed all the furniture from our rooms. After calling the police he offered to sell us his share for 15.000€. What shall we do, split the house in flats or buy his share and let him live in it providing he does not cause problems? |
Question: HELLPP FAMILY'S MOVING TO UGLY ESTATE WHAT DO I TELL MY FRIENDS? Posted: 01 May 2016 06:48 AM PDT My family is moving to an ugly estate & I HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL THERE.. What am I supposed to say if new friends want to hang out with me? My family is moving to one of my grandparent's estates out of country. The land is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but the house really isn't very attractive. The estate is on a high hill that overlooks the ocean and I'm not sure how many acres it is.. I think it's about as big as from my current house right now to my mom's friend's house which is 4-5 streets down. Does that make sense? Anyway i will only like it because of the view and because it's on top of a high hill, which I've always dreamed about living on a hill and overlooking the city, only this time i will be looking at the ocean. But other than that the house does not look good and i don't want new friends from my new school to see that i (will) live there. I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me because i live there. |
Posted: 01 May 2016 06:41 AM PDT Even if I'm on the will is she aloud to keep it from me Yes I realized I spelled college wrong get over it. Im not trying to make a college with the money I'm trying to use the money to go. Im asking if she is legally aloud to hold the will from me and whoever else is on it. |

Question: I like to relax and play video games, why is this such a bid deal to my wife? Posted: 01 May 2016 06:29 AM PDT It's no secret, I enjoy playing video games in my down time. I do not watch tv, but instead opt to play my games. Now, my wife is aware of this, and has claimed to have no problem with it. She did say that she doesn't like me to isolate myself when I play, and would like to at least join me for the couple hours that I do. Fair enough to me.. So what did I do? I got an extra recliner, and put in in my office. Well that never gets used. Then she says to me, I need to get a more "normal" hobby. So I say to her, "besides working out, and drawing, this is what I enjoy." All of this aside, she will watch the kardashians for hours at night, or other tv programs. When I bring this up, she says watching tv is different, or "at least we're spending time together." In reality, when we are together in the living room, having what she deems "quality time," consist of her on her laptop either browsing Facebook, Pinterest, or Reddit. To me, she is a controlling hypocrite at worst, and slightly confused at best. |
Question: What are the aunt and uncle called? Posted: 01 May 2016 06:21 AM PDT Mom and dad are PARENTS, grandma and grandpa are GRANDPARENTS, brother and sister are SIBLINGS, aunt and uncle kids are COUSINS, there seems to be a generalized name for each family group, is there one for aunt and uncle? |
Question: My husband slapped my daughter..what do I do? Posted: 01 May 2016 06:07 AM PDT He's her step father, I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant with our daughter as well. My daughter came home from a date with a hickey on her neck, she's fourteen so we were mad but Jerrt (her stepdad) did the yelling. That was last night and she didn't come down for breakfast. He is in church, I am torn! Jerry***** not Jerrt |

Question: How can I make my nephew stop ignoring the rest of the family? Posted: 01 May 2016 04:24 AM PDT My nephew is 26 and I am his aunt. There is a family holiday for a wedding coming up and my nephew is one of the only ones not coming, most couldn't but my nephew says "he didn't have the money at first" he lost his job and I told him to use his welfare money but he refused, he looked for a job, got one and saved money but he is now too late as bookings are finished, the holiday is in August 24th and the close of date was April 1st. He is annoyed because first the close off date was August 1st but it changed and now he feels he is going to miss out on a family holiday since this is a rare once in a life time thing, I volunteered to go on holiday with him, just me and him but he says he doesn't want people feeling sorry for him, he doesn't have any close friends and could never afford to go on holiday as a child but I think this is all his fault, if he just stayed on welfare and used that he could be going but he is too stubborn and proud and just had to use his "own" money. We live in the UK and the holiday is in Italy, the date changed because if the UK leaves the EU in June it could bump up the price and even if the UK stays it is impossible to change anything now. He is avoiding family gatherings, he never answers his phone, has blocked chat on his Facebook and whenever we run into him in person and try and organize a little party to show how sorry we feel he says no. Is this justified When he lost his job he had to pack up and move back in with his parents |
Question: My mother is so not understanding ? Posted: 01 May 2016 04:09 AM PDT my parents divorced 6 years ago and i'm living with my mother. ever since then, she is always finding guys to rely on. i'm expected to deal with the fact that the guys she finds are people that hate me because they think i'm something "extra" in their relationship. i was only 10 and i have to deal with those guys scolding me (for no reason?) and whenever i fight back verbally, my mum would always get angry and me and ask me to shut up since they are the ones feeding me now. a year ago, she went with another guy, that don't even own a house. for a year, i have to live in the SAME ROOM as this 70 year old GUY and i'm a 15 year old girl. i can't stand it as for me, i find it really embarrassing to be living in the same room as a 70 year old guy. i've told my mum many times, but she will just shout at me for being ungrateful and childish. whenever i think about how my friends will react when they learn about my situation, i get really embarrassed. actually, this is not even a question. i just wanna rant about my life. sorry for wasting your time |
