I am always trying to make her happy and comfortable ; it seems like everything I do doesn't work. Valentines day she literally said she didn't want anything but it felt weird not to get her anything . I got her some hard candy and chocolates and a card ( Not anything crazy ) . I gave her the gift and she kinda just huffed and said thanks. I was a little disappointed but didn't say anything. Later that night she went out with her friends rather than hanging with me. I was upset again and I really like this girl so I don't know what to do. I constantly finding myself sad or mad about her or over her. To clarify we are both 17 sophomore and Jr. MY QUESTION IS "How can I get her to open up to me"? This girl is really into school and I'm often the one that has to try and make time for us because if I don't put in the effort she won't say anything to me about hanging out. She gets upset and whines and acts like she is going to cry when I try to touch her. I asked her and she said she was sorry she overreacts. I asked if anyone ever made her do anything she didn't want to do but she said no and was sure of her answer. She tells me I just overthink the fact that she is always upset when I try to touch her but it happens every single time she comes over to my house. I try talking to her about it but she gets mad and hangs up the phone. I've never physically abused her but there has been some verbal abuse when we get into arguments but I'm getting help on that. I've tried to leave her before but I realized I just can't do it and she tells me she can't live without me. That I make her feel like no one else has before. She talks about being into a dominant/submissive relationship but she doesn't do it and talks about "kitten play" I just do what she asks now and she calls me her slave. The relationship is so confusing. I really don't know how to handle it. What should I do? |

Well he already told me he loves me. I agreed to be his GF because he is incredibly affectionate, caring, hardworking, easygoing, has a good sense of humor- things I must have in a dating partner. The problem? He's just kind of... boring. I feel like I do almost all the talking in the relationship. He never has anything new to say because he works cooking in a restaurant every day. Which I can understand, but his responses to me are so short and lacking. One huge problem is that he's from Korea and doesn't know how to say many things in English. At first I thought he only seems quiet because of that, but after spending more time with him I think he may just be a quiet person. When we're walking he doesn't try to make much conversation. One time we sat down at a restaurant and he didn't even say anything until I said "Um... can we like, talk about something?" And when I try to talk about deeper subjects like politics, he either doesn't know what to say in english, tries to say something but gives up, or doesn't even try and just changes the subject all together. He's constantly telling me how beautiful celebrities are, and how certain ones are the "perfect women" because of how kind and sweet they appear to be. If I get jealous, he teases me for it and adds salt to the wound. I told him "when you say they're perfect, I feel like a bad woman" he said "when you act like that you are". He rarely compliments me, and even tells me how beautiful girls he knows in real life are, and has voluntarily told me about his past sexcapades. I never do that to him. i told him I was insecure, and he didn't show any sympathy, just shrugged it off and got mad at me. He's thrown my glasses off my face, and if I end things with him he calls me incessantly until I answer. One time he wanted to "train" me to fight because he's afraid I'll be raped. He was born and raised in the same town he lives in now. All of his family live on the same land, but he told me he's not building there and instead putting livestock on it (which is years of work). He doesn't even live near his job, and he has nothing else holding him back. I however, work in my area, go to school in my area, and am an EMT in my area. Moving an hour and 20 minutes away just wouldn't work right now because it's not close to anything I need. I've mentioned it a few times that we should consider living at a mid-point between the 2 eventually, but he said that will be hard when he needs to take care of the cows (and we talked about this before he went through with buying livestock) And when I think about the future, my mother wouldn't want to make that trip out there to see grand kids. For the most part our children would be at HIS parents house and my parents would hate that because they don't have grand kids yet (my dad is almost retired) whereas his side of the family there's 4 already. I feel like this will cause so many problems in the future. When he was looking for a new apartment, I urged him to find one closer and we did, but he still chose one in his town. What should I do? |

I was furious for some reason because I felt she was becoming attracted to the most mental stupid person ever. And then.. She admitted to start liking him because I would be an asshole occasionally. I felt heartbroken but moved on quickly and said just stop talking to him and everything, and in the end of all the debris. I tell her you cannot be friends with someone you liked.. you'll just get back with him over time and it's like watching you leave me, I say NO you cannot be friends after all that?! and she says "YOU CANT TELL ME WHAT TO DO." Posted: 17 Feb 2016 07:02 PM PST We are in similar situations with our other parent and I ve noticed that he s been stressing a lot about it and I think because I can empathize with him we could really help each other out and there has already been a time where he was there for me & I let him in but I can t figure out a way to try and get him to let ME in... I want him to know that I ll be there if he ever wants to talk or not talk but just don t shut me out. I asked him one night if he was okay and he told me he was and I quote "Good" I should ve just told him right then and there but the moment is lost and I don t know how to get my point across. (He definitely wasn t okay because I was in the room when he was discussing the situation with my parent and I could tell he was stressing because I do it too) but I know guys aren t as emotional as girls and aren t into the whole pouring my heart out to you thing... Yet she gets angry and doesn't want to talk to her boyfriend if he talks to other girls or even seems like he's flirting. She gets angry when he sits by girls she doesn't like yet she thinks it's wrong when he gets mad about her doing it. When they aren't arguing they're talking about sex with each other.. It seems like they never have a normal conversation. They go for extremely long periods being mad at each other and don't talk. Then they kiss and make up just to get mad again over something stupid. It's a cycle. When they break up she gets upset and says she loves him. Doesn't seem like love to me. |
