Let me start off with saying I became a Christian about 8 months ago. I'm really struggling right now with feelings of bitterness and resentment which is turn drawing me away from God. The reason for me being so bitter and resentful is actually along story but I will make it as short as I can. I was with W for 7 years and we had 2 children together. He abused me emotionally and physically. After finding God I realized how sinful my life was. I had quit having sex with W because I knew God did not want it that way. When I told him why I wasn't doing it with him anymore he was furious. Eventually accepted it though and said he wanted to get married. Then I went out of town for a couple weeks to see a family member and when I got back he was in bed with another woman(not the first time). I decided that was it and I left. Well here I am now almost 2 months later and I am so mad still. Just 2 days after me leaving he moved in with his new girlfriend. He will call me like once a week telling me how much he loves me and wants his family back and then the next day is calling me names again. I have so much resentment towards him because of everything I stayed with him through and he still chose another woman. He is not this perfect guy for her and her kids but never could be for me or our kids. Please give me some advice. I don't know how to forgive him and forgive myself for that matter. How many people have came from poor familys and bad child hoods have actually made a good life? My life has always been pretty bad but im trying to never give up. There's this girl and she always has to be better than me. We an both can sing and she always has to be in the spotlight. We're having The Wizard of Oz as our school musical and she knew how badly I wanted to play Dorothy so she auditioned for her too. I dated my ex-boyfriend for about a year. I broke up with him because he cheated on me with 3 other girls and verbally abused me. But then they talked to the Ukrainian men, and wow, those men were so nice; kind, caring, hard working, good looking, and FAITHFUL too ! The common theme from all of the men was that the women's demands were astronomical, they wanted a new BMW every year. Or a new Mercedes every year, new handbags every week, things that add up to huge amounts that even average typical Americans with good careers would not be able to provide for their wives. These women did not want to work, they wanted the 'Traditional Role' of women = to stay at home and care for the children. But they wanted SO MUCH from the men, it was just impossible. One man said that yes, there are a lot more women in Ukraine, but it is so hard for a man to find a wife anywhere. When asked what did he mean by this, he paused for a few seconds and said "THEY CANNOT BE SATISFIED, nothing a man does for her is ever enough. If she has a new car, she wants an ever bigger car the next year, always new. And this was a man who was 28, a computer programmer earning $58,000 in the U.A. and that is similar to a man earning $500K in the U.S.A. He said that women would tell him "YOU ARE POOR, WHAT DO I NEED YOU FOR?" He just cannot find any 'normal' women in his country. I was totally shocked ! I was always reading that those women are 'traditional', that they support their man, yet now I see they are even worse than women in North America. So what in today's society has made these Ukrainian and Russian women so infatuated with material possessions, up to to point where no man in their own country is good enough for them?

I'm going to try and make this as short as possible. My boyfriend and I have been together for about 7 months. In the middle of our relationship, we had problems with his ex still contacting him about random things. She would even drive by the bar he and I frequent. It became concerning to me, because he claimed to want nothing to do with her anymore. So I asked him to please cease all contact. He told me he blocked her number. She is even dating his ex best friend. I guess they ended up moving to Texas together (we're in Ohio), so she isn't even close anymore. However, I'm wondering if they are indeed still in contact. I wonder this because I notice he's kind of protective of his phone. I don't expect him to allow me to go through it or anything, but he shields it away from me when he's on it, that kind of behavior. And the kicker is last night we were out at the bar. He had a few too many beers (that's putting it lightly, he was pretty drunk) and he called me her name. He immediately realized what he had done and felt bad about it. Apologized and assured me that he does not care for her anymore, and that I'm the only one he wants. I told him it was ok, but it still bothers me a little. For a school sport, I have to roast one of the leaving seniors at the final banquet of the year, so if anybody can write a few APPROPRIATE jokes that I could use. This guy i have to roast is, pretty damn lazy, really tall and skinny(but not skinny enough to make a joke out of it) , has a beard, never shows up to practice, pretty aggressive, non-perseverance, has two younger brother, who are also play the same sport and are better than him, never shows up to practice, white male, middle class (pretty sure I can't make any jokes about his parent's income), non religious, has a girlfriend(not sure if they are together or not, but i'm pretty sure they are ), has a pretty low GPA, but still got lucky and is going to a pretty good college, drove a lexus and a bmw SUV both in good pretty new last year , but for some reason has some shitty car this year, pretty popular and sounds like he's high all the time.
